I dropped by it on my way down from Gainesville and was very pleasantly surprised at how delicious the soup was and how quickly my order came out! Very fun interior and was covered in anime memorabilia. Good amount of tables to sit at for the traffic it receives. The employees were nice and I think I got my boba and ramen within 3 minutes of ordering. I was skeptical about the quality at first, especially because it comes in a plastic ramen bowl/there is no real dishes used, but the soup itself was incredibly flavorful, and they are VERY generous in their pork belly portions. 3 huge, thick slices for one bowl, and extremely reasonably priced. I visit my friend every year and she always shows me the really good spots and tonight she recommended this place as I really love ramen but I'm also very picky cause I like a good authentic ramen with lots of flavor. I go the regular tonkotsu ramen and veggie spring rolls and I'm telling you that you can TASTE the effort they put into the broth and that light char on the meat is just delicious. The noodles were the perfect chewiness and filled me right up! The decor also was subtle but made for a very cozy spot to relax and eat. They also put the food in takeout containers so that you can take any leftovers home and not deal with having to pack it yourself inc you dine in. The service from the cashier and well as the cooks were very friendly and you can tell they care about their food! His behavior was unbelievably arrogant and completely unacceptable for someone dealing with paying customers. Instead of resolving a simple question, he became argumentative, dismissive, and ultimately refused to sell me another order -- something I've never experienced in any restaurant. This man has no business being in charge of anything customer-facing. His attitude overshadowed the good work of the two ladies and ruined what should have been a pleasant meal. It was my first time in. I went in to look at the menu and try something. Before I placed my order, I asked the cashier/customer service woman if the manager was there to ask them a question. She said no one was there. So I asked to get the number so I could ask them a question which was about a business venture I was interested in and she still did not cooperate with me; further lying to me to saying she is the manager, so I asked her what the property owners number is... a second female started the same crap. Nothing but crap from all of them. Obviously a shady operation. I felt if I couldn't get them to be helpful, I don't want any food or service from them. Ocala doesn't have much variety of "non chain" food spots. I am always craving some good ramen so I was extremely delighted to see that there's one in town that's close to my old place. When I'm in town visiting friends I like to go out to eat. So this was on my go to list. Staff is very attentive and greeted us when we came in. Ordering was super easy. The menu is pretty simple and straight to the point. I order some Ramen and it was pretty good. Not as fancy and full of veggies/assortments like most quality ramen places. But it was pretty good. I liked the broth & they have a little stand where you can add chili sauce. I'll go again when I'm in town because I love ramen. We went there with my husband and our son who was visiting from other state. My husband ordered tonkatsu and my son ordered the classic. We expected the broth to be more authentic. It was not so flavorful and only thing they liked was the pork belly, tender and meaty not so much fat. I had the takoyaki. It was like fried mochi with a small piece of octopus. I went here with my siblings and we all liked our drinks. My siblings and I have had boba tea for a long long time and this place is good. Very friendly service. Two ways to order in store either at their easy to use kiosk or at the register. Staff was helpful as it was our first time and we what'd a few questions. Food was fresh and HOT made to order. It's served in Togo containers which is handy in case you can't finish servings are a good size. The pork gyoza was delicious the sauce it comes with is bursting with flavor and aromatics. The edamame was nice and light. There was a self service area for utensils sauce napkins which was fully stocked and also had chili crunch which is awesome. Bathroom was clean and accessible. There's a good amount of parking and a good variety of bottled drinks. Lots of options we chose the main course of the house ramen, chicken ramen and house friend rice. There's only one other place I know of in Ocala to get decent ramen and that's at Big Hammock. So Ramen House is a godsend! They have delicious appetizers - bomb veggie gyoza, spring rolls and shrimp shumai. A little overpriced but very tasty. The ramen is king however. The broth is delicious though it's probably not homemade. The noods are perfect, obviously not handmade but it's not at all instant ramen as some other reviews mentioned and that's NOT TRUE! These noodles may not be fresh, hand-pulled but they're perfectly springy, chewy and silky all at once. The added ingredients are lovely, shiitake mushrooms, fresh bean sprouts, corn, green onion, nori, bamboo shoots and a side of very spicy hot chili oil (be careful, it packs a punch). It's a bit pricey (as most specialty foods are in Ocala) $45 for ramen for two with a couple of apps and a boba tea. The tea is really good. The take-out cup, very flimsy. They need to upgrade the boba cups and straws. But the teas are yummy! Only drawback is the price. I'd pay about the same in New York or LA and this is freaking Ocala. So they lose a star for that. read more

I've noticed Ramen House, on College Road/SR200, for months. Finally had dinner there. As far as I know, the nearest good Japanese Noodle or Soba/Ramen Restaurant. I've been to Authentic Noodle Restaurants in Las Vegas, Los Angeles Hawaii and Japan. Coincidentally, I am Japanese and have lived in the US for over 50 years. This restaurant is not an entertainment show restaurant or shusi bar. People in Japan do not eat sushi everyday, sushi is a treat, as to us here. Japanese do not cook on grills where shrimp is fliped and caught in a hat, that's entertainment. All restaurants dishes vary in flavor, texture, ingredients, presentation, preparation, abeyance and service. This is true for BBQ, German, Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese and other cuisines. If you've never had Authentic Japanese Noodles, try it! It's nothing like the packaged Ramens you get in the stores, those are a horrible and insulting comparison. If you want to avoid a bad noodle experience, DO NOT LET THE NOODLES SIT IN THE BROTH! Eat them as soon as it's served. Waiting changes the noodles, thicken, gets soggy and changes the taste of the broth. The noodles should be a little firm and broth sucked in with the noodles. Always suggest you eat noodles at the establishment. The Soba at the Ramen House, is delicious, ask for additional noodles, if you have an appetite. They have several Japanese bottled beverages and appetizers to offer the full experience. The Boba Tea is a different experience for those who have never tried it. When I lived in LA 20 years ago, Boba Tea Shops were opening everywhere. Boba is a blend of tea, different flavors of choice with tapioca balls. The balls are sucked through a special straw with the creamy flavored beverage, a perfect combination of liquid with Boba treat. A favorite beverage for everyone in your family. Some Starbucks serve Boba but far from authentic! Overall, unless you want to travel 2000 miles or more west to try an assortment of Noddle Restaurants. You have a good one here on the main drag. The tea is great and the food is great. But the customer service, not so great. The girl at the register just plays on her phone and looks annoyed while the person cooking is the only one working. She appears to hate her job and gives a bad first impression. I'll give it another try another day but first impressions are usually correct. This review is just for the boba/milk tea beverages and service.Service is good, friendly, professional.The drinks aren't good.I've have many boba and milk tea drinks from many cities in 3 different states.The ones form Ramen House are not good at all.We had the house/regular milk tea and the Thai tea one.The regular one already looked like it wasn't going to taste right, and once we tasted it, it tasted as we expected.It wasn't good and not made well.Based on reviews, it always looks this way so I'm assuming it's always this bad. The photos of the Thai tea drink didn't seem good either, but I gave it a shot anyway.It was actually more orange than in the photos.I make Thai tea at home that's more orange.Anyway, it wasn't good either, and I love Thai tea.Both of them were sweet enough, but the flavor was off.The boba itself tasted really weird and my husband agreed.One of the worst bobas I've tasted, and I'm talking about the regular big black tapioca ones. I definitely do not recommend this place for the milk tea drinks.The cups are also flawed.There is no sealed lid so the cap has a big hold and can come off easily.The cup itself is very flimsy, so when you hold the cup, it can collapse.There's barely enough plastic.I have had Thai tea in similar cups and lids, but they were much stronger. read more

We were pretty disappointed with this new ramen place. First of all, they serve the soup in a plastic bowl and have plastic silverwares to eat it with. We are dining in so there is no need for a to-go stuff. Second , their price we thought is comparable to other ramen places outside Ocala but their servings are small for the price. The soup those not even taste good. And we've been to a lot of ramen house so we know. Third, their ramen looks like from the Maruchan ramen that you buy for a few cents a pack at the grocery store, and the veggies in the bowl are not fresh, it's all canned.
