Basic pedicure at other places at the very least include soak, buff, lotion, oil and warm towel. I got a sad oil rub on my feet with all the left over file dust. Then the man who did my manicure had such a heavy hand with the file, also no cuticle trim, and worst of all he kept digging his nails on my skin! He was using his own nails to push back the glue. He was doing it so hard. Then left me with super wide nails. First and last time I come to this place. I regret it.

I came to the salon over a month ago and had a really nice experience with Shawn and Hannah, so I…read moredecided to come back the day after Fourth of July. The salon was busy and I was a walk-in. Instead of telling me to come back another time Jennifer who I assume is the salon manager sat me down and started doing my nails so another technician could take over. I have been trying to grow out my natural nails, so I asked her if she could soak the gel off instead of grinding it off. I told her to please be careful when cutting my nails because I didn't wanna lose the length. She just kind of grumble and did as she pleased. The whole time she worked on my nails she had an attitude. She then passed me off to another girl Cindy, who was incredibly sweet. I asked Cindy what type of polish would be the best to keep my nails growing strong. She said they were super strong already, and that gel would be perfect. The whole time Cindy was working on my nails. Jennifer was in her ear rushing her so I feel like Cindy did a very rough job. I don't think she would've done that. Had Jennifer not been in her year the whole time. Fast-forward to Wednesday, and while I was at work, peeling some tape off of something it peeled the gel completely off of one of my nails, and took half of the nail with it. Normally a gel polish last me at least three weeks. I went in yesterday to get them fixed. The girl that checked me in was very sweet when she went back and told Jennifer Jennifer came out grumbling and rolling her eyes. She started doing my nails very aggressively to the point that two of my cuticles have sores on them. One where she jabbed me with the file and the other, where she left a chemical on it. I asked if she could fix the nail that broke off and she did a really crappy job putting a tip on in. Didn't even match it up to my other nails. She then again passed me off to somebody else. This woman was working on another customer and had to rush through that poor persons experience which I thought was wrong. She paid to relax just as much as I did not to be rushed. The woman Jane that helped me was rushing through doing the basic French manicure that I asked for. The original one had a pink base to it. She was gonna completely skip that part. I asked her not to you and to please do it how I had had it. She finally slowed down and took her time and even made some recommendations on how to go and get my nails to last longer. When I told her what my experience was with Jennifer, she was completely apologetic. I now realize why I stopped going to that salon. Jennifer likes to run it like a sweat shop. When you're paying $60 for a manicure, you wanna go in and relax and have a great experience like I did with Shawn and Hannah. Jennifer definitely needs to go!

For the location, I already felt like the prices were pretty high. Then my daughter asked for simple polka dots on her nails and we were immediately told, "That's extra." I had gel polish on my toes that needed to be removed--again, "That's extra." I completely understand that salons charge for additional services, but it was the way everything was communicated that felt rude and unwelcoming. It started to feel like every little thing was an additional charge. After I mentioned that I didn't think we would be coming back, my pedicure felt incredibly rushed. It was honestly one of the fastest pedicures I've ever had. I'm a hairstylist myself, so I completely understand charging appropriately for your time and services. But customer service and the way you communicate those charges matter just as much. I would have happily paid for extras if the overall experience had felt welcoming and worth the price. Unfortunately, it didn't.
