This review has been a long time coming. I think what happens with some salons is that they take their repeat customers for granted- as if there's a limited choice of nail salons- when the reality is that there's a saturation of nail salons in Rancho and Upland. I was a repeat customer- paying $130 for gel-x and gel pedicure plus $20 tip. But NO MORE. I am a good customer- I am clear about what I like- but I don't like when my wishes are not respected, and it has happened here several times. I let it slide here and there for the sake of getting along and being respectful. But this was the last straw. While doing a gel x, the nail tech Ann did not listen when AGAIN I asked her to cut my natural nails down (I didn't want them to show under the gel x). When she did not, I asked her to file them so they don't look ugly in the back of the gel x as I had requested a sheer color that had some glitter (as u can see in the pic I attached, she did not listen as the back did not look professionally done, let's not even mention the uneven shape). Nevertheless, Ann kept going... I was concurrently getting a pedicure by Janice (who deserves 5 stars on her own) and unfortunately taking calls from work. I felt exhausted that I repeated myself and she ignored me. I really just wanted to leave. To top it off, she insulted my clothing by making a comment about pet hair on one of my sleeves (like ma'am, who the hell do you think you are asking about how many pets I have or don't have while you are looking a bit shabby yourself ). That was enough. In the end, the back of the gel x looked mediocre, the color was not the one I asked for, the shape was uneven and on some fingers wide at the tip. I finished, paid, and tipped Janice. So if you go to this place, now you know. And the owner, Amanda, I tried her one time. Nah. It was a pass for me. And the male owner (presumably her husband) walks up and down the salon, or stands there creeping (like sir, we are trying to relax here but you're creepy! ). read more

This is my new nail salon! I've been here a handful of different times and each time is a pleasant experience. They have a nice and peaceful ambiance and their work is good. My go to artist is Ann, she is great and I recommend her every time. Ann gets the shape right the first time, cleans up my cuticles (many other salons don't always care for cuticles so I was happy that I didn't have to ask Ann to do it it was her standard) and nails the designs are trendy but scaled to my liking. I'm not a person that has 1 inspiration picture I have multiple and Ann delivers each time! She'll creatively create the perfect set for me each time. I had a lovely experience at this nail salon! We came on a Friday afternoon and were serviced quickly. I got a gel x set and pedicure. Michelle did my nails and was so patient with the design and color changes mid-set. Amanda finished off the nails with her bows that came out perfectly. I've been here a few times and always left with a nice pedicure. However, this time, my feet look terrible. I didn't catch the gentleman's name that was helping me, but this pedicure was expensive and not good at all. This pedicure was PAINFUL! He dug around (I DO NOT have any ingrown nails to warrant this) and cut my skin and at one point, either cut a chunk of skin out or stabbed me with the clippers. I yelled out from the pain and he had to clean the wound for several minutes. The massage was also painful and I had to keep asking him to please use less pressure, but he continued. Both of my legs are bruised today. The salon was also incredibly hot inside. No airflow at all. Lastly, my toes don't even look good. The polish is dull and not shiny, there's polish all over my skin (which can cause allergic reactions with gel polish), my nails are all crooked, and he cut weird angles on a few of my toenails. I couldn't get out of there fast enough and don't plan to return. read more

I was able to schedule an appointment for ours services and when we arrived they were ready for us. I love when things go as planned. We were all serviced by someone different but everyone was great! Amanda checked in on us to make sure we were completely happy with our service and we certainly were. These people wanted me to give them a review so hear it goes. I came here Wednesday at 9:30 with my sister for a full service acrylic and pedicure. My sister also got a pedicure and a manicure. They only do gel services here, too, which is fine with me, and they told me this over the phone too before I came in. Salon was in a basic strip mall. We were promptly seated in a pedi chair and given our services we each chose the 65$ gel pedicure the mid range one which was honestly super relaxing with thorough cuticle care work, paraffin treatment,and ten minutes massage. No complain to my pedicure lady, and my toes looked super cute with the design. If I had just received her service, I would've given it 5 stars. One star is for the lady, and I regret not remembering her name doing my acrylics. She insisted on doing them on the side of the pedi chair. I'm not a fan when they do this because you can't fully enjoy your pedicure, and she wouldn't let me use the massage features on the chair. Isn't that the whole point of getting a pedi on those chairs?? Also its awkward the position I am in turning my body on one side to get my nails done and having my feet straight and my sis on the opposite side of me so we can't even really talk and her telling me the whole time to relax and loosen up my hands. I'm telling her the position is awkward and it's hard too and if we can just go on the tables when she is done doing my pedicure but she refuses even when she is finished with my pedicure. It was absolute torture. I could tell she was getting frustrated with me, but when I'm in an uncomfortable position, I couldn't just simply relax my hands. LOL. She had nicked me a few times with the drill bit but didn't draw any blood, so I wasn't too worried but did file my nails to death, so it was quite painful. They did look good after and because I live out of state just visiting Cali I knew i most likely was never going to come back so didn't even bother to post until a few days after when I noticed my thumb that she had nicked began to swell and throb. I knew immediately I must've contracted an infection from that place from an unsanitary tool. I tried every home remedy under the sun but to no avail. It got so bad I went to urgent care where I was given oral antibiotics for one week and a cortisol shot for the intense throbing pain and swelling. Unless you want an infection and shit service, come here! Definitely will be filing g a report/complaint with the local health department. Update: Despite this unfortunate event, this nail salon has good customer service. Amanda reached out apologizing and immediately refunded the money for the acrylics, which was much appreciated. Most nail salon wouldn't care so that means alot thankyou. read more
