Summer the nail tech did my pedicure, it was ok. From your insta posts I was anticipating something better. Tiffany did my nails. She used a different technique that I liked with the tips, they don't glue them on they take a light to cure them to nails. I told her I like them short and she made them too long and on top of this she did not file them or buff them underneath and they were "razor-sharp" until I said something to a manager and asked to have them file them and make them shorter. I could tell this annoyed her - the way I look at it, is I'm paying for this service to be done and I would like it done right . I felt Tiffany was just trying to get me done as soon as possible so she could go back to her screen time. When I left, she was in the corner doing just that didn't say a word to me as I walked by. First time here and I will be back. Got a pedicure (Refresh $60) from Kim. She explained what she was doing and had a timer out for me to see that I was getting the full time for my massage. The hot stones felt so good! Unfortunately, my mom didnt get the same experience. Shirley did her pedicure and didn't even start for about 15 minutes then rushed through the process. I only get my nails done for special occasions, and since my brother was getting married, six of us girls came here together. From the moment we arrived, everything was so organized and the customer service was exceptional. Louie did my pedicure, and Anna did my manicure. Updating my review because I'm still coming here regularly for my pedicures and Gel-X extensions, and the service continues to be amazing. Trieu does my nails, and I always leave happy with how they turn out. He's very precise, pays attention to the small details, and makes sure everything looks clean, even, and well-shaped. My nails always look polished and last well. I recently had my pedicure done by Carol, and she was wonderful. She was thorough, gentle, and made the experience very relaxing. I recently visited this nail salon for the first time. It was very comfortable, and the staff were all so friendly. The person who did my nail art was Lina--she did a wonderful job and was very creative. I was impressed with her work; whatever design you choose, she can execute beautifully. The only surprise was the price. I thought it wouldn't exceed $100 because that was what was listed and what I was told. However, when I paid at the cashier, the total came to almost $140, which surprised me. I also gave Lina a tip of $15 from the bottom of my heart for her excellent work. Overall I'm satisfied with the service and the venue, and I don't have any issues recommending this salon--just be sure to confirm the price with the front desk or cashier beforehand to avoid any surprises. read more

I trusted this nail salon before but after my last experience, I don't think I'll be returning. I asked for a cat eye design, which is an extra cost on top of the polish itself which already comes with a fee. The design involves using a small magnet to move the metallic particles in the polish to create light reflecting lines. The polish itself is just a regular sparkly color without dimension if you do not use a magnet on it. Despite it being a design option, my nail tech was not able to properly create the effect. You can see in my photos that it just looks like a regular sparkly color. There's a littleeee bit of dimension in some parts but it's inconsistent and definitely not what you would expect for a cat eye. On top of that, my nail tech cut too deep into my cuticles and I left with two bleeding fingers. The skin around my nails peeled over the next week (pictured) and that's never happened in the 10+ years I've been getting gel on my nails. I left very disappointed. read more

I chose not to go back due to all the feedback the salon had already received to do better. Also there were managers already there that could see the state of the salon as I did. I am not interested in discount or a free set. Do better with your existing clients if you want to keep them. Make the experience as glorious as your insta promise. Talk with your clients not at them or about them when then are right there. Is the 5, 10 dollars extra worth it to lose a client when you are already charging 85 for hard gel? Does the space look clean? Did you take the time to wipe down or sweep up? Or are you rushing clients in and out? Is the atmosphere inviting? I've been coming to GLOW since they opened the location in Ontario and have always loved my experience except for my last visit. There's a few super exceptional people here, Jane, Jimmy, Linh ... that have always been so welcoming, professional and really skilled. My appointment recently was a gel pedi and full set acrylic. I opted for the "refresh" pedi. It's not the cheapest option nor the most expensive, I believe it's a starting rate of 60$. Gel is additional cost of 10 or 15 but I consider it a price worth paying. I showed the girl who was doing my toes a picture of a pedi with a bubble gum pink base with white French tip (more of an up charge, again, totally don't mind because I know what I like and it's worth it to leave happy & with my nails done beautifully and correctly) So, In a sample color book I asked her if a particular pink would look like the reference photo, she said yes and proceeded to work on my feet. During the pedicure, I noticed that she really didn't do too well while removing my calluses. She didn't spend much time on them and my feet didn't feel as smooth as they usually do. I didn't mention anything because I just figured I could use my pumice stone at home to finish the job myself. At some point, I had asked her to try to file just two of my toenails in a certain direction because they grow crooked, and I wanted them to appear straight. She made no effort to do that at all. Again, I let it go but was disappointed that in the past I had nail techs do this all with ease & this time the tech wasn't putting in effort. While I was discussing my manicure with the woman doing my fingernails, who was doing an AMAZING job, I looked down and noticed that the girl doing my toes was on her second coat of my base color and it was not at all the pink that I had showed her in my reference picture, it was actually like a milky white with the slightest tint of pink, but a night & day difference from what I had asked her for & showed an example of. I mentioned that I didn't love that color and wanted what I showed her, was pulling up the photo again and she said "well can you choose the right pink, I don't know which pink that is?" And I was surprised by the unprofessional response and told her that she should ask someone that works there because they are the professionals, not me.... And if she wasn't sure she could have told me from the start instead of sticking with a color that clearly wasn't what I wanted. I mentioned to her that I was disappointed with how the service was going because I knew that this was going to cost well over $200 and that's not even including tip and I should be leaving here feeling satisfied with the services. I didn't say anything more but I didn't think that she would be capable of doing a good French tip after all of the other issues so I told her she can leave my toes solid pink after the other nail tech gave her the shade of pink that was way better & what I originally wanted. I really wanted to have French tip toes but I gave up at that point. When I got up to the front to pay, I noticed that there was a charge for five dollars called "nail shaping." and apparently it was for having my mani done as almond shaped... out of all of my experiences in the past getting my nails done I have never paid extra to have an almond shape, of square, or oval, or any for that matter?? How is it the having any shape at all is an up charge? Isn't shaping a nail part of the actual manicure that we are paying $75-$85 for?? and that doesn't even include additional services like chrome or French tip. I can afford five dollars, but it's just such a ridiculous charge, especially on top of having to micromanage every aspect about the appointment so that I could leave with what I paid a lot of money to have and couldn't relax and enjoy what's supposed to be a spa like experience. It really just takes one rude, impatient, unskilled worker to cause a loyal, high paying consistent customer to look elsewhere to take their business. I'm beyond satisfied with my mani, with the other techs I've had before, but to spend hundreds and feel disappointed is a reason for me to move on and find a new salon. read more

To preface I am 33 weeks pregnant so my skin is more sensitive, but I am also wanting more caution while getting services because I don't want any potential infections from cuts. The technician cut my finger as she was cutting down my nails. She apologized, but she tried to continue services without even cleaning the wound or applying any antiseptics. I had to ask her to clean my wound. She then talked to someone and they looked at my nail, but did not acknowledge me or say anything about it. After that I was quite upset and decided that instead of completing my manicure I just wanted my old set taken off. The technician did not even clean my nails. There is still glue left on them. I had a pedicure at the same time and that was fine, nothing to write home about. At time of payment when they asked how everything was I told them about my experience, the employee said he didn't know and that he wished someone had said something to him. In an effort to offer me something for my experience they tried to give me a card for $20 off a future visit, but I said that I didn't plan on returning. I had a great experience at Glow Bakery & and Nails. Winnie needed a great job on my hard gel fill - my nails look so pretty and they were shaped to perfection. You can tell that she is a perfectionist and she took her time with my nails. Also, Tracy did my pedicure and it was really relaxing and gentle. I got the basic pedicure for $35 (additional for gel) but it didn't feel basic at all and I really love the five minute massage. My nails were definitely reasonably priced compared to other places that I've gone to in the area. The atmosphere was clean inside and everyone was very nice. I also appreciate that there is a menu option of complementary beverages to choose from. I got mango tea and it was delicious.
