First time here and I will be back. Got a pedicure (Refresh $60) from Kim. She explained what she was doing and had a timer out for me to see that I was getting the full time for my massage. The hot stones felt so good! Unfortunately, my mom didnt get the same experience. Shirley did her pedicure and didn't even start for about 15 minutes then rushed through the process. I only get my nails done for special occasions, and since my brother was getting married, six of us girls came here together. From the moment we arrived, everything was so organized and the customer service was exceptional. Louie did my pedicure, and Anna did my manicure. Since I rarely get my nails done, the whole experience felt incredibly relaxing and pampering. They even served us complimentary drinks, and the Vietnamese iced coffee was so good! They were very helpful with color recommendations, gave amazing massages, and checked in throughout the appointment to make sure we were happy with everything. I'll start off by saying that I'm not a critic of pedicures or Nail Salons for that matter, but I do know what I like. I'm a diabetic so I need to take care of my feet and part of that care is regular pedicures. I've been to numerous salons over the years and have found that GLOW BAKERY NAILS (GBN) is by far the best. Not only have they proven to be very caring and gentle with my feet but their salon is very accommodating, clean and their technician's equipment are always sanitary. The salon even has complimentary beverages. There are salons blocks from my home but I would rather travel the 10 miles to have, Fann at GBN take care of my feet. I've been coming to GLOW since they opened the location in Ontario and have always loved my experience except for my last visit. There's a few super exceptional people here, Jane, Jimmy, Linh ... that have always been so welcoming, professional and really skilled. My appointment recently was a gel pedi and full set acrylic. I opted for the "refresh" pedi. It's not the cheapest option nor the most expensive, I believe it's a starting rate of 60$. Gel is additional cost of 10 or 15 but I consider it a price worth paying. I showed the girl who was doing my toes a picture of a pedi with a bubble gum pink base with white French tip (more of an up charge, again, totally don't mind because I know what I like and it's worth it to leave happy & with my nails done beautifully and correctly) So, In a sample color book I asked her if a particular pink would look like the reference photo, she said yes and proceeded to work on my feet. During the pedicure, I noticed that she really didn't do too well while removing my calluses. She didn't spend much time on them and my feet didn't feel as smooth as they usually do. I didn't mention anything because I just figured I could use my pumice stone at home to finish the job myself. At some point, I had asked her to try to file just two of my toenails in a certain direction because they grow crooked, and I wanted them to appear straight. She made no effort to do that at all. Again, I let it go but was disappointed that in the past I had nail techs do this all with ease & this time the tech wasn't putting in effort. While I was discussing my manicure with the woman doing my fingernails, who was doing an AMAZING job, I looked down and noticed that the girl doing my toes was on her second coat of my base color and it was not at all the pink that I had showed her in my reference picture, it was actually like a milky white with the slightest tint of pink, but a night & day difference from what I had asked her for & showed an example of. I mentioned that I didn't love that color and wanted what I showed her, was pulling up the photo again and she said "well can you choose the right pink, I don't know which pink that is?" And I was surprised by the unprofessional response and told her that she should ask someone that works there because they are the professionals, not me.... And if she wasn't sure she could have told me from the start instead of sticking with a color that clearly wasn't what I wanted. I mentioned to her that I was disappointed with how the service was going because I knew that this was going to cost well over $200 and that's not even including tip and I should be leaving here feeling satisfied with the services. I didn't say anything more but I didn't think that she would be capable of doing a good French tip after all of the other issues so I told her she can leave my toes solid pink after the other nail tech gave her the shade of pink that was way better & what I originally wanted. I really wanted to have French tip toes but I gave up at that point. When I got up to the front to pay, I noticed that there was a charge for five dollars called "nail shaping." and apparently it was for having my mani done as almond shaped... out of all of my experiences in the past getting my nails done I have never paid extra to have an almond shape, of square, or oval, or any for that matter?? How is it the having any shape at all is an up charge? Isn't shaping a nail part of the actual manicure that we are paying $75-$85 for?? and that doesn't even include additional services like chrome or French tip. I can afford five dollars, but it's just such a ridiculous charge, especially on top of having to micromanage every aspect about the appointment so that I could leave with what I paid a lot of money to have and couldn't relax and enjoy what's supposed to be a spa like experience. It really just takes one rude, impatient, unskilled worker to cause a loyal, high paying consistent customer to look elsewhere to take their business. I'm beyond satisfied with my mani, with the other techs I've had before, but to spend hundreds and feel disappointed is a reason for me to move on and find a new salon. read more

Trieu does my nails, and I always leave happy with how they turn out. He's very precise, pays attention to the small details, and makes sure everything looks clean, even, and well-shaped. I recently visited this nail salon for the first time. It was very comfortable, and the staff were all so friendly. The person who did my nail art was Lina--she did a wonderful job and was very creative. I was impressed with her work; whatever design you choose, she can execute beautifully. The only surprise was the price. I thought it wouldn't exceed $100 because that was what was listed and what I was told. However, when I paid at the cashier, the total came to almost $140, which surprised me. I also gave Lina a tip of $15 from the bottom of my heart for her excellent work. Overall I'm satisfied with the service and the venue, and I don't have any issues recommending this salon--just be sure to confirm the price with the front desk or cashier beforehand to avoid any surprises. read more

My first and last visit unfortunately. I did not have a good experience here. To preface I am 33 weeks pregnant so my skin is more sensitive, but I am also wanting more caution while getting services because I don't want any potential infections from cuts. The technician cut my finger as she was cutting down my nails. She apologized, but she tried to continue services without even cleaning the wound or applying any antiseptics. I had to ask her to clean my wound. She then talked to someone and they looked at my nail, but did not acknowledge me or say anything about it. After that I was quite upset and decided that instead of completing my manicure I just wanted my old set taken off. The technician did not even clean my nails. There is still glue left on them. I had a pedicure at the same time and that was fine, nothing to write home about. At time of payment when they asked how everything was I told them about my experience, the employee said he didn't know and that he wished someone had said something to him. In an effort to offer me something for my experience they tried to give me a card for $20 off a future visit, but I said that I didn't plan on returning. I trusted this nail salon before but after my last experience, I don't think I'll be returning. I asked for a cat eye design, which is an extra cost on top of the polish itself which already comes with a fee. The design involves using a small magnet to move the metallic particles in the polish to create light reflecting lines. The polish itself is just a regular sparkly color without dimension if you do not use a magnet on it. Despite it being a design option, my nail tech was not able to properly create the effect. You can see in my photos that it just looks like a regular sparkly color. There's a littleeee bit of dimension in some parts but it's inconsistent and definitely not what you would expect for a cat eye. On top of that, my nail tech cut too deep into my cuticles and I left with two bleeding fingers. The skin around my nails peeled over the next week (pictured) and that's never happened in the 10+ years I've been getting gel on my nails. I left very disappointed. read more

I chose not to go back due to all the feedback the salon had already received to do better. Also there were managers already there that could see the state of the salon as I did. I am not interested in discount or a free set. Do better with your existing clients if you want to keep them. Make the experience as glorious as your insta promise. Talk with your clients not at them or about them when then are right there. Is the 5, 10 dollars extra worth it to lose a client when you are already charging 85 for hard gel? Does the space look clean? Did you take the time to wipe down or sweep up? Or are you rushing clients in and out? Is the atmosphere inviting? I'm going to start this review off by saying I'm a Licensed Nail Tech with almost 25 years of experience. (Licensed Cosmetologist as well, just thought I'd throw that in because if you know anything about Cosmetology, you're trained in hair, nails, aesthetics). I also owned a Full Service Salon that I chose to close after realizing the beauty industry is not my true passion. I maintain a very small, select Clientele, but, overall it's no longer my thing. I say all this to let whomever reads this know that I'm well qualified to make certain attestations and in no way want to discourage anyone from choosing this place for their services. That being said, let's get started with the review. I had zero expectations when going here. In fact, I also had no intentions of being serviced. Me and my daughter had finished up the day, and after lunch before heading home, she asked if I'd do her pedi that night. Mind you, I ALWAYS do my kids services, even the older ones, I just didn't feel like it that evening. I noticed this spot, and thought, hmm you can get a dessert AND a pedicure there- let's go see whats up. We went inside and were welcomed. I was literally expecting dessert with a service lol, but the Receptionist explained the concept. I didn't really get it, but, it didn't matter. My daughter and her indecisive self, finally decided to stay after a bit of my "If you want them done today, you better do it," type convincing. The perfectionist in her, like her mom, gave her pause, but in the chair she went. I decided instead of waiting, I'd join her. I was disgusted from the time I sat in the chair, I looked over at my daughter, who mumbled, 'I should've waited." I giggled while choosing my color. I looked down at the lady doing my feet as she said to me, "You have nothing, pretty." I thanked her and told her I would be using basic polish. (I knew I'd be redoing it). Meanwhile, I watched my daughter's service, glancing at her from time to time as she stared at her feet with a frown on her face. Her cuticle work was mid, and like mine, her feet were buffed about 5 seconds each, and the massage was rushed for both of us. I chose to not even pay too much attention to my feet, just the touch, to keep from getting agitated . My daughter was getting polished when I looked at her, and said quietly, "I'll just redo them when I redo mine, relax." She responded, "bruh," and we laughed. Our polish jobs were trash. My daughter's was uneven, and mine was just a straight mess. Why paint the entire nail plate, when you can just paint the middle and give the illusion of fully polished toenails?? Smh My daughter was highly disappointed, after all, "Social Media says they are bomb." So much for the "influencing."Anyway, when the gentleman came around for payment, he asked about our service, I told him to look at our polish. He spoke to the Techs, then asked if we wanted them redone, I said No, and he apologized profusely. I think he realized how highly he spoke of the salon and the Techs, and felt embarrassed. I told him, it wasn't his fault and I appreciated his willingness to have them fix them. I couldn't tell what he said to them after, but the look on my Techs face said enough. Overall, there was nothing "Luxury" about the service or the salon as purported at the counter, but, I already knew that within seconds of walking in. So, the experience met my lack of expectations. The shop could use a really good deep cleaning. I saw the dust from the previously Client on my chair and arm rests, and noticing me, noticing it, my Tech quickly came with her towel and wiped it away. I was disgusted. I couldn't get comfortable. I was hesitant to even sit back in the chair, but figured I'd try to at least enjoy the massage. Oh and the massage option in my daughter's chair didn't work. You see, before I had my own spa, I worked in Nail Shops, back when you didn't see US in their locations. So, I know exactly how they're ran, and all their little secrets, thats why I don't normally go. I beg, that if someone wants to respond, don't challenge me on that part, because, well, it just wouldn't be a good idea. Side note: I have a very good Asian friend that owns quite a few shops, so... Anyway, I won't return, but I may just take the time to visit others, "just to see something." The price point- they're overcharging y'all, but carryon beautiful people, and Glow, do better. I have pics of our feet, but I'm not posting those. I don't feel the need to. Don't let my review discourage you, go try them out for yourself. Your experience may be alot better. read more

I called in earlier for a same day appointment asking if they had availability for a 5 PM Pedicure and Eyebrow Wax. The person that answered the phone said there was availability and scheduled me. Upon walking in, you have to check in on a tablet. I arrived about 5 minutes prior to check in. There was nobody at reception to greet you. It took them about 15 minutes for me to get seated. It took about 22 minutes in total to have the next nail tech to finally get to me. They offer a complimentary drink included in the service. The ambiance of the workers felt a bit chaotic, confused, and stressed. When I come to get my nails done, I go to feel relaxed and at ease. There was also a big language barrier with me and Louie. My pedicure finally started at around 5:30 PM. It also felt uncomfortable that they were talking about me in a different language because I felt judged and saw the nail tech point at me while talking. This salon is overhyped with ads on Instagram and TikTok. I also felt like the spaces between the chairs are so tight that the workers kept accidentally knocking things over. It's like they are trying to work so fast that they become clumsy and things fall over or something happens on accident. The callus remover on my left foot was on a significantly shorter period of time than my right foot. The massage part was good and then got a bit strange because at one point Louie stated picking at my scab like he spaced out for a bit while going through the motions. The nail service was good and my cuticles were cleaned well other than the things I mentioned. I got an eyebrow wax as well from Kim. She was really rough with her with pushing and pulling my head to reposition. There was one point where her thumb was sort of digging in my eye. My left eyebrow looks clearly thinner than my right eyebrow. I really wanted to support this place, but the ads won me over. I don't think I will come back. I really wanted to like this place, but I can't when something that is supposed to be relaxing made me feel uncomfortable. read more

I asked for a striped design and mind you I know it was a bit much and I asked if they can do it, they said they could. They then went to go complain to multiple coworkers that I was being "too much". I settled for a much simple striped design and they started to talk among themselves saying I was being "difficult" and "complicated". This is my first time coming to this place! My regular place is closed on Sunday and Monday, which I had no idea and I needed a pedicure! To be honest, I don't go to any cheap old place I like quality. I've seen this place all over our social media and to be honest it was amazing.
