I love the fact that she takes time to provide you with organic alternatives in her products which is difficult to find anyone that invests time in details as those. Let me start off by saying that the girl who wrote the first review on Megan really doesn't know Megan at all. I think her opinion on Megan is false and biased. You can't show up to an appointment late and get upset because your nail tech calls you out on it. Doesn't matter if you texted her telling her or not. You agreed upon a certain time. Be there. Don't waste her time and she won't waste yours. It's that simple. Now on to my review: I've been going to Megan for almost 3 years. This was before she did the Apres Gel X Extension system. Her gel manicures are impeccable. She is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. I've never felt so comfortable talking to a nail tech before in my life. I used to go to your typical nail salons and I'd never feel comfortable enough to voice my opinion about my nails. If I liked them or not etc. Megan always listens to what I want and gives the best recommendations on what to do next. She understands my nail style. She always knows what's the next trend on nails. Megan tries her best to be as eco-friendly as possible while still being sanitary which is what makes her such a unique nail tech and stand out from the rest. If you're not happy with your nails, you can tell her and she'll fix it to your liking with no problem! She understands. Like literally all you have to do is tell her if you don't like something. Idk why that other girl, who wrote the first review, didn't say anything if she was that unhappy with her nails. No one is a mind reader. Anyway, she has over 50 gel polishes to choose from, so there are definitely many color options. She has different types of art. I HATE spending time to get my nails done, Megan made it enjoyable! She's personable and asked me questions about myself which I thought was super nice. She has a huge focus on sustainability and an all around cruelty free and vegan lifestyle which is sooooo hard to find in any beauty tech let alone a nail tech. She's amazing with shaping the gel x to your desired length and shape too. I think her pricing is also very fair compared to other independent nail techs. She's the best if you're looking for straight forward service with a smile and someone to cater to your needs. I also love that she only goes gel polish!!! I'm in a reflective mood, so to clear a few things up: Megan did not kick me out, but she did ask me to leave because I became emotional. I initially said "kicked out" because when I went to message her to reschedule and talk it out on insta, I was already blocked. So feelings were hurt. At the time she didn't have a lot of color choices, so it might have changed now? I was a cry baby, not my highest moment. In fact, it was a real low in my life and I just needed some understanding. Megan kicked me... wait calmly asked me to leave...when I was already down. I mean who wants to cry about not being able to get their nails done . Megan was cool and I thought we would have a long lasting working relationship, that's why I thinK the situation sucked the most. Y'all my feelings were hurt hurt. Love love love! I highly recommend visiting Megan. She is such a nice girl who cares about her craft. Her attention to detail and genuine care for the health of your nails puts her far above the other nail shops. I was in between nail technicians and I just found one! The prices are reasonable and the work is great. She even reached back out the next day to say I could come in to add the rhinestones that we didn't do that were on the picture I showed her. As a man I have trouble finding places where I feel comfortable getting my nails done because of the awkwardness of walking into a nail salon and having everyone's heads turn to you. My feet have never felt so soft and the best part about it is that they stayed super soft for weeks, in comparison to discount nail salons that make your feet feel soft for a day or two, or don't completely remove the callus from your feet. Megan is an excellent nail technician who goes above and beyond when it comes to what I want. Half the time I have no idea what I even want going haha so I tell her and she makes my nails and feet look beautiful. I'm so happy I found Megan over a year ago. A clean environment and clean tools is priority for her. She uses high quality products which make my nails lasts a minimum of 5 weeks. The color does not chip off. Do not believe the first review written about Megan. Megan is the business owner of Varnish Me Chic. She is the only technician therefore appointments are necessary for service. If you are running late, then call and reschedule and do not interfere with my appointment. Many times I'm coming from Downtown LA to make my appointment and I don't want an entitled customer upset because she was late. Also if "gel x isn't a complicated system" (comment from first review), then why don't you do your own nails and stop trying to ruin a professional technician and stop interfering with my appointment. read more
