I had been here once before the ownership change (not a great experience) and once more just for a quick nail fix before a trip, so I figured I'd give it another try for a full set. I called ahead to confirm pricing and was told $65 for Gel-X and $5 for removal. I also asked if it was cheaper to pay cash, and the explanation I got about "$1.40 rewards" was confusing but nothing was said about a card fee -- so I booked the appointment. When I arrived, the salon was completely empty. It was clean and quiet, which I liked. The technician actually did a great job with removal, shaping, cuticle prep, and application of the Gel-X tips. They use Aprés Gel-X tips, but they're the sculpted style, which I personally don't love because they make the nails look more bulky and rounded. Where things went downhill was the polish. The gel color was extremely streaky and required four coats to look even. By the time it was done, my nails looked thick and puffy, which I really don't like. I also didn't recognize any of the polish brands -- no DND, OPI, CND, or Essie -- which was surprising. Then came checkout. I was told the total was $71.40 because I used a card. When I reminded them I was quoted $70, I was told that the $1.40 would have gone toward "rewards" if I paid cash. If I had known there was a card fee, I would've gone to the bank before coming -- that's literally why I asked about cash pricing on the phone. The service itself was fine, but the pricing communication and the final result were disappointing. My nails don't look how I like them, and the checkout experience left a bad taste. I'll stick with my regular place and only come here again if I'm in a pinch.

She is impossible to get a hold of. For instance: she doesn't answer calls,and she sometimes texts back but 9/10 times she does not. She also doesn't update her booking availability on her website so if she denies your booking because a client took the spot, she doesn't message you to let you know. Or, on the other hand, on multiple occasions I have had to keep checking my emails the morning of an appointment just in case if she confirms it last minute, even if I tried to reserve the spot multiple days ahead, which is really inconsiderate of my schedule. Not to mention the fact that on some appointments she was running late, or there have been times when i have showed up to my appointment and she just straight up canceled the appointment at the appointment time with no prior notice after I already drove out here. She does cute nails , but it is really not worth the headache trying to jump through all these hoops for a nail set, I'm really embarrassed that I recommended services here to my friend who also had to deal with the same flakiness and irresponsiblity.

However, I truly believe that when half of an eyebrow is waxed off, the entire service should have been comped. If a salon cannot professionally perform a service or follow clear instructions, they should not be offering it.

I met Henry first before he branched out on his own, and he's so good that I've followed him from Rancho to Upland. I've learned a few things about him that make me really appreciate his work. Being a nail tech isn't just a way to make money for him. He takes his craft seriously and doesn't settle for mediocrity. I'd show him an inspiration pic, and Henry always surpasses my expectations. Sometimes I'd show him two different pics, and he'd put his own artistic spin on it. Fantastic work every single time. As I'd get my nails done, I'd see Jason work on his own clients, many of whom have also followed him from Rancho to Upland. Jason takes his work just as seriously as Henry. Jason can also do very intricate, freestyle artwork. They are both so extremely talented! Also, they do not use cheap products. I called to see if they had any availability and they were able to make appointments for me and my sister. It's in a plaza with plenty of parking. The interior and decor was really nice, clean, and spacious. I did the hard gel manicure (by Vivian) & hard gel pedicure (by Holly) that include hard stones which comes with lotion & massage. Holly said that with hard gel manicure it's an additional cost so it would be total of $41. While my sister did the gel manicure (by Gina) & gel pedicure (by Helen) with cat's eye color which has an additional cost of $30. They offered a free drink of your choices of wine, beer, tea, water, etc. which I thought was really nice since I have never seen any nail places offered that before. I went with green tea while my sister went with herbal tea. They were all very friendly and helpful. I felt very refreshed and clean after getting this done. The nails came out pretty, but only thing I didn't get from the manicure was lotion and massage. I just noticed Vivian used the oil to put on my hands and arms. I was waiting to see if I get lotion and massage, but had to hurry up and leave since my sister had an appt after this. When we got the pricing, the total for me and my sister was $236. I wanted to get clarification of the pricing, but didn't have time since we were in a rush. Next time we come, will make sure to do that since I was trying to look at the pricing menu and I couldn't figure it out what the cost to make it to that. However, I would come here again, but make sure they did provide all the services that should be included and ask for a breakdown of the services since no receipt is provided of the breakdown.
