First off the nail technician I had was an elderly lady that spoke zero English she looked very sloppy and her apron was so dirty. It was frustrating to me because she spoke no English and she was extremely slow. The color I had picked out was a bright pink. The color she put on my toes was a very light pink. I did let her know three different times that it did not look like the right color. She didn't understand what I was saying. I just decided to let her finish and leave. I will not return. I've come in to Organic Nail Spa a dozen times over the last year or so for 90% pedis, 10% manis. I found the work adequate, but never good, occasionally shotty. But the last times sealed the deal. I was traveling for an event and wanted resilient claws, so I splurged and got gels for the first time in years. It looked fine. Once I was back, I returned to ONS to have it removed, a choice I now regret. They carelessly removed the gel using an extremely large, rough file instead of a soak or a drill. My nails and cuticles were DESTROYED after this removal process. my previously healthy nails were rendered extremely rough and paper thin and they've been so fragile and prone to breaking. they're just about grown out now - October to February. I ended up giving the woman who did my manicure an extremely large tip, and she shifted into this doting, apologetic tone because she knew she gave me just the wORsT gel removal. This is the only place I've gone for pedicures in three years. And I totally have toenail fungus now. I use barbicide on my at-home mail instruments, sooo, like, I can guess the culprit. My dad and I came once together, and they cut too deeply on the cuticle and my dad was pretty injured about it. It became infected and he required antibiotics. Reading all this back, I am low-key disappointed in myself that I came in so many times. It was close to my place, so I blame laziness. I was there by 6:00pm (my appt time) but I wasn't seen until after 6:15pm which I was concerned with because by the time my feet went in the water it was near 6:30pm & I asked if I was still able to get a full Spa pedicure with it only being a half an hour left before they closed. She assured me it was fine. Location is clean, staff was focused you didn't hear much chatter between the specialist, music was playing and I wasn't rushed. They did have a timer for the massage... I'm finding this bothers me but the more I see it the more I am aware that it is becoming a 'norm' my peeve is IF you are a stickler for time then you should take that into account when scheduling your appts. I read some reviews about the pricing I felt like I got what I paid for and though it wasn't cheap the person who attended me didn't completely stop the massage portion of the pedicure when the alarm went off. The length is fine , cause I type on a keyboard most of my days but the paint job was super sloppy and she cut me multiple times even when I told her ouch. I did bleed a bit too. This was my second time here. My first time here I scheduled an appointment and still had to wait 15 minutes. About halfway through my service the nail tech stopped working on me and started working on a walk-in client and then went back to me. This back and forth continued until another tech was available. I decided to give them another chance and scheduled an appointment for a pedicure today. After checking in, I waited 20 minutes and was still not helped. As I was leaving one of the nail techs asked me if I could wait a little longer. I have never been to a salon WITH an appointment and had to wait more than 10 minutes. I'll begin with stating that this review is long over due. This is my first yelp review. On May 10, around 4 in the afternoon, my younger sister went in to get a manicure and pedicure. Her experience with the manicure was bad. This was her first manicure and pedicure so she wasn't so knowledgeable when it came to nail salon customer service, prices, and etc. The first issue, she had several cuts, and her manicurist would just say, "Oh sorry", and proceeded with wiping the bleeding cuts with a napkin, totaling to about 4 cuts. Mind you, my sister knows nothing about nails so she was letting all this slide. Second issue, before setting an appointment with the facility, she asked for a price on the manicure and pedicure. The manicure would be $24 and the pedicure would be $25-$28. (side note: I know so much about nail salons and this to me was an absurd amount for both) Moreover, my sister goes in knowing what she's going to pay for. She gets her nails cut multiple times and asks to add diamonds so the manicurist mentions it's 5 additional dollars. My sister gives her the okay. The total to all of this is $67! I gave her $15 cash and told my sister to put the rest on my card thinking it would total to $50ish, but no. It totaled to $67! For the job they did, which was extremely basic and quite unprofessional and honestly, looked amateurish, I found baffling. My sisters nail job was so sloppyyy. I wish she had a picture but she didn't take pictures at prom because the color and diamonds were horrible ! She got no extra length, only the simple oval style that's currently in style, with HER REAL NAILS, nor did she get a design, only the $5 diamonds. How could it total to $67? It should've been at most $57, but even that price is ridiculous. I'm just extremely disappointed that a facility that claims to be "Organic" solely uses their name as a way to overprice their service. This place is too expensive. I've come to realize Claremont is TOO OVERPRICED !!!!! Overall, saddened that I paid her nails as a prom gift but my sister didn't even have a memorable experience being pampered. I pay at most $55 with acrylic nails and pearls and or designs and they come out AMAZING! And my pedis are $7 -$12 and also come out amazing with no cuts ! So sad that the owner allows this kind of service to be overpriced. Do research ladies! I attached pictures of nails I get done for $55 and that's with add-ons [length (acrylic) and designs]. And a google pic of a similar color and shape my sister went in to get. Months later, and I'm still quite upset that I paid $67 for something so bad. I was a walk in here after a horrible experience with service at the wax center in the same shopping center. They have a sheet of services and prices that they don't necessarily follow...I decided to get a gel pedicure which the price list states +12$ and I was charged 15$,I was first told that the difference in price was a price change that had not been updated on the price list and then I was told The price change was because it was on my toes and not hands (the price list has no distinction between hands and feet) either way they wanted to charge me an extra $3 fine. They then tried to charge me an extra 6$ for glitter on my SNS dip because it was a second color. To top it off as I'm getting out of my car at home I notice the my gel pedicure is very lumpy. I will go back because I think Ivy does good work but I will be making sure that I ask about the charge before I get the service done. Thai did my pedicure and Tina did my manicure. I got the collagen treatments to soften my hands and feet. Even though this service was more expensive, it was well worth it.
