I've given Pro Nails in Upland a few chances because overall the people there are usually nice, especially the male owner, who has always been kind. Tiffany has also done good work for me in the past, which is why this experience was disappointing enough for me to finally leave a review. On May 7th, we scheduled a 6 PM appointment for two people. We showed Tiffany an inspiration photo for my son's girlfriend's birthday nails. She said she couldn't do 3D nails, which was completely understandable, but what was frustrating was that she still proceeded with a design that looked nothing like the photo and ended up messy, smudged, and rushed. By around 7:10 PM, Tiffany said she was leaving. When I finally got a good look at the nails, I told her they weren't what we asked for. Her response was basically that she didn't have time to fix them and that we could just come back the next day. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible because we already had plans. Her response was simply, "Oh well," before walking out the door. We still paid around $80 for a full set that we didn't like and ended up having to go next door to another salon, where she got the nails she originally wanted done correctly. As for my own experience there, Tiffany is my go to and she's really good at what she does (which makes this situation so unfortunate) but the male nail tech who works there is extremely rough when removing gel. He aggressively scrapes healthy nail beds and cuticles with the metal tool instead of properly soaking/removing the gel. Every time I went, I had to repeatedly ask him to be gentler. My nails became very thin and weak from it, despite the fact that I always tipped well. This review isn't out of spite. I just think if a design can't be done, it should be communicated honestly from the beginning instead of rushing through something and charging full price for work the customer clearly didn't ask for. Sadly, after this experience, I won't be returning. read more

Went 6 times and the service got increasingly subpar the more I went first time, they offered water. It was truly Princess treatment. The people there are very nice, but it can be just hit or miss, especially with pedicures if you are expecting nice firm hand. The pricing also was not consistent. They would get five stars for niceness, but they need to have set prices stick with them and they need to work on firm pleasurable pedicures I would not recommend. read more

First time going to this place because it was highly recommended. Went in for a pedicure and the younger lady did my feet and was AMAZING!! I was going to get a manicure as well but was pressed for time so I decided i'd go back another day. 4 days later I go in soon as they open for my long awaited and much needed manicure. Older lady takes me right away and gets to doing my nails. I have strong long nails, I don't use polish and I like to keep them short but nice because I have two little ones. I ask her to cut them and file them square-round. She does this but I noticed she wasn't filing them she just kind of swooped the nail file over them quickly and I thought "ok maybe she'll finish it off once she's done cleaning up my cuticles and such". Well, that wasn't the case. She grabbed her tools which weren't even in a sterilized pouch, does my cuticles, puts oil on them and then used the nail file/buffer. This is where it took a turn for the worse, she grabs the nail clipper and begins to cut them shorter!!! Grabs the nail file again and again just sort of files them. I look at them and I tell her they're too short, I ask her for the file so I can fix them and she says "No,it's ok I fix them for you" well she thought she did but she didn't. They look hacked and awful. I could've done a better job myself. I paid and left but not before getting in my car and noticing my cuticles are just as awful on some fingers. Will I give this place another chance? I might but with the girl that did my feet. Don't get your manicure with the older lady with short hair and glasses. If I had to base my review solely on my pedicure i would've given it 5 stars BUT my manicure is atrocious! So in all honesty I just can't. It's not hard to give someone a plain manicure that was only going to require cutting the nails, shaping them and cleaning up the cuticles, I DIDNT even want nail polish...it was an easy job so how could it go so wrong? read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS AWFUL SALON!!!!!! The owner, Annie, is so rude! I came in to this salon super excited to get my nails done after 6 years. Being a busy mom and student, I never had the funds to get a full-set of nails. As I sat in her chair I attempted to discuss what options I had. Coffin vs. almond, pink and whites vs. solid, etc. Annie was so grumpy and irritated with my questions. She flicked my hand every time she would switch to the next and talked MAJOR crap in Vietnamese to the worker next to her. (My Vietnamese friend translated for me) She was so rough on my nail beds that I had to take ibuprofen for 2 days after. At the end of the process I asked her if I could do a color change. I mean I am paying right?! She YELLED "NO YOU CHANGE COLOR 5 time" Not only did she ruin my Mother's Day gift, she embarrassed me in front of everyone. She painted ONE color on me. I discussed with her several options, but absolutely no color changes occurred. Annie had a bad attitude with not just me, but with kids being "too loud in her salon" as well.
