I recently went to Modish Nails for a Gel-X fill, a pedicure, and my boyfriend also got a pedicure. I want to start by saying Halle did an amazing job fixing my nails the next day, and my toes came out great as well. I also still tipped because I appreciated the service and effort. The issue was mainly with my original Gel-X fill and the customer service experience afterward. When I first got my nails done, I honestly didn't like how they looked, but I was rushing to pick up my son from daycare and didn't have time to address it in the moment. I came back the next day to have them corrected, which Halle did beautifully. What made the experience uncomfortable was the interaction with the front desk representative, Ivana. As I was calmly trying to understand the refund or partial refund process, she became dismissive and defensive. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable -- I had just spent $226 the day before, still paid in full, and even tipped. Since part of the service had to be redone, I simply wanted clarification on whether I could receive a partial refund since my toes and my boyfriend's service were fine. Instead of listening, it felt like I was being treated like a problem customer for simply explaining my situation. When I asked questions to better understand the charges, I was told she wasn't going to "go back and forth" with me and that a manager would follow up. That's completely fine, but the attitude and lack of professionalism made the interaction uncomfortable. I actually like this salon and the nail techs are talented, especially Halle, but customer service matters too. The front desk is the face of the business, and a little patience and communication would've gone a long way. Made an appointment in advance online to get my toes and nails done. Online services was self explanatory and the details of prices were listed online which was nice to see. It was my first time visiting this location and was pleased with the cleanliness when I walked in. Staff was welcoming and I got seated right away for my appointment. I paid for a Modish pedicure service($75+gel polish). I was hoping to enjoy a relaxing time away from my kids but was so disappointed on how rush my technician was while providing my services. Keep in mind the Modish package was not the basic package of services so I was looking forward to the extras that I paid for. She was so rushed that I even pointed out certain items that she didn't do that I paid for within the package. She seemed bothered that I told her and started talking to her colleagues in their language that I didn't understand. Very frustrating and I told her it's okay it's not a big deal you're already cleaning up/finished with your service. I just let it go and went on with enjoying my nail service. For my nails I wanted Gel X (white French tip with cat eye) the nail tech seemed confident in providing the design I wanted. For nails I've learned to trust the process, so I waited for the final product. As she's putting on the final coat I asked her, where is the French tip? I wanted white French tip to match my white toes and with a cat eye. She said this is what you asked for cat eye and the French tip is within the glitter cat eye. I even showed her a picture of what I wanted. The final product was not even close to what I wanted, the shape of my nails are just ugly, so much glue at the bottom of my nails that some nails are higher and point upwards. The tech saw that I was unhappy and went to go talk to an older lady who I'm assuming is the boss. The boss just walked over to the front register where I was at and kept complimenting my nails that they're so pretty (which they weren't). I paid ($195 +tip) for my services and left both tech a tip and walk out very disappointed. Unfortunately they lack quality and I will never be returning. I found this place by accident. I was just driving through the parking lot and noticed the signage. It was such a delight to walk into a really stylish nail salon. They offered free drinks, and the service was top notch. My nail tech Helen, was great very conversational and really funny. The pedicurist was Toni and she was fantastic, especially working on taking out my ingrown toenails. She was really great. My daughter's Gel-X fill was interrupted mid-service to accommodate a late customer, and the replacement tech, "Joanne", did a terrible job. The nail beds are gritty, the sides look cracked and unfinished, and the almond shape is completely asymmetrical. Megan was polite on the phone and rescheduled us for a late afternoon fix. We arrived 10 minutes late due to parking. The receptionist, Ivanna, immediately canceled our appointment due to their lateness policy--even though they had just accommodated a late customer earlier at my daughter's expense. Ivanna treated us as a walk-in, made us wait behind another customer, and claimed we were "inconveniencing them." When I told Ivanna she was being a "rude young lady", she snapped back saying she wasn't being rude, which in itself is incredibly rude to say to an unhappy customer. Another older employee stepped in to take my daughter right away, but when I pointed out to Ivanna that this is how she should have treated us from the beginning, she went on a complete power trip. She ordered me to leave, called the police to remove me for "trespassing", and even tried to intimidate my daughter by mentioning she had her name and number, weaponizing personal booking information to intimidate a customer is insane! Calling the police just because you have upset a customer and no one is in danger is an absolute waste of public resources and a glaring sign of horrific customer service. Ivanna escalated poor workmanship into a hostile customer service nightmare. My daughter canceled the service and asked for a refund, which Ivanna claimed she couldn't authorize. She then refused to give us the manager's name. This salon is a complete hit-or-miss, and if you get a miss, pray you don't have to deal with Ivanna. read more

I scheduled an online appointment for both nail and toe services and arrived on time expecting to receive the services I had booked. When I arrived, the staff began my pedicure first, which was completed by a technician named Heidi, who provided good service and was professional. However, after my pedicure was completed, I was left waiting for my nail service despite having made an appointment for both services. After waiting, I politely asked when I would be able to have my nails done. My question seemed to upset the owner, who responded in a sarcastic and dismissive manner. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the situation, the owner became increasingly upset and ultimately asked me to leave the salon simply for asking about my appointment time. I found this treatment extremely rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that I was asked to leave without paying for the pedicure that had already been completed. I offered to at least leave a tip for the pedicure technician, Heidi, as she did provide a service and deserved to be compensated for her work. However, the owner refused and told me not to worry about it, stating that because I had not paid for the service, I could not leave a tip. I felt this was unfair to the technician, who did her job well and deserved recognition for her service. Unfortunately, my most recent experience here was not so great. It had been a while so I thought of trying this place again as I was in need of a fill. I didn't have an appointment and walked in. The receptionist asked me if I wanted a design, I said no. I'm now wondering if that's why they assigned me to a less experienced nail tech. The nail tech was aggressive with her filing of my side walls, forgot a coat of color on one of my fingernails, and over flooded my cuticle on another. What I found interesting was that she cut my cuticles after curing all the polish. Usually my cuticles are trimmed before the fill happens. A day later there are still tiny bits of hanging skin from my cuticles on several of my fingers, and my thumb has a small wound from the aggressive cuticle cutting and filing. Finally, when it came time to pay my bill I was charged $60 for builder gel overlay when I had come in for a fill ($55). The receptionist took the ticket back and returned saying I was charged $5 for cutting down or shortening my nail length, which isn't a charge on their price list. I was disappointed I was not told this before hand. I had the price list next to me my whole appt so I know it wasn't listed. I'm leaving two stars this time because they offered a complimentary cold sparkling water, and the vibe of the store is luxurious, but the quality of the work just wasn't up to that level. read more

After about a year and a half of getting Gel X, my nails are finally strong and long enough that I was able to transition to a gel builder. We had great conversation, and they asked for my preferences and feedback throughout, which I really appreciated. The place is big and very clean. The lounger has a very pretty aesthetic. They have an app that makes it very easy to make an appointment without needing to call. I treated myself to a gel pedicure. I was assisted by Tina. She was amazing! Took care of my ingrown toe nail with no problem at all ( not many techs can do a good job) And was treated to a great tasting, green mimosa in the spirit of St Patrick's. this nail place was being super rude to me and the guy doing my nails kept making racist/sexist remarks towards me because I told him I didnt like my nails. They were super crooked and he refused to do the design for them even though originally he said he could do it. Then he brought the manager and they told me i was a problem even though i was being INCREDIBLY patient and kind to them and was even scared asf to bring up the fact that i didnt like them :( in the end they took $200 from me bc of membership program and said it was non refundable and i wasnt allowed at the store anymore. I am writing to formally express my serious concern about an unprofessional experience during my recent visit to the salon. I'm very disappointed with the service I received. My nails design is ok nothing outrageous . The polish was not applied cleanly, and the overall result looked unprofessional. I left feeling unhappy and frustrated with the quality of the work and and the worse part is I pay so much for it and my nail done just few days ago by Joanne and it chipping and my 2 others nails are falling off already . Its annoying sine I was attending wedding and looking so embarrassing like a clown with no nails. However, my friend nail was done by May is look way better and still lasting. This salon need to have better worker and well trained . Its high end salon but work and customer service is like a cheap salon. Not worth the Pay . While I was receiving my service, I overheard Joane speaking negatively and disrespectfully about another coworker in Vietnamese with my pedicure lady. The comments were inappropriate, unnecessary, and clearly not meant for a professional environment. It was uncomfortable to listen to and created an awkward, tense atmosphere. As a paying client, I expect a salon to provide a relaxing and welcoming experience. Instead, I felt placed in the middle of internal workplace conflict. Hearing staff criticize each other openly reflects very poorly on the business and raises concerns about management, professionalism, and overall standards. When employees speak badly about coworkers in front of customers, it damages trust and undermines the credibility of the establishment. It does not inspire confidence in the team or in the services being provided. A salon environment should be positive, respectful, and client-focused at all times. I strongly urge management to address this issue immediately and reinforce professional conduct among staff members. Customers should never feel uncomfortable because of internal staff issues. I've been looking for a nail salon to frequent in this area, but this particular day I needed an appointment that day for a mani and pedi since I had a trip coming up the following day. I called to see if they accepted walk-ins and they were very accomodating with the time I told them I'd be able to come in. Their salon is gorgeous, very clean, and the quality of work was very detailed and attentive. They offered me one alcoholic drink during my services and any water/soda as well. The only downside was it's a bit pricey here. I got a regular pedi and a gel x mani and it was about $120 total without tip. It was great for the convenience though. read more
