I came to the salon over a month ago and had a really nice experience with Shawn and Hannah, so I decided to come back the day after Fourth of July. The salon was busy and I was a walk-in. Instead of telling me to come back another time Jennifer who I assume is the salon manager sat me down and started doing my nails so another technician could take over. I have been trying to grow out my natural nails, so I asked her if she could soak the gel off instead of grinding it off. I told her to please be careful when cutting my nails because I didn't wanna lose the length. She just kind of grumble and did as she pleased. The whole time she worked on my nails she had an attitude. She then passed me off to another girl Cindy, who was incredibly sweet. I asked Cindy what type of polish would be the best to keep my nails growing strong. She said they were super strong already, and that gel would be perfect. The whole time Cindy was working on my nails. Jennifer was in her ear rushing her so I feel like Cindy did a very rough job. I don't think she would've done that. Had Jennifer not been in her year the whole time. Fast-forward to Wednesday, and while I was at work, peeling some tape off of something it peeled the gel completely off of one of my nails, and took half of the nail with it. Normally a gel polish last me at least three weeks. I went in yesterday to get them fixed. The girl that checked me in was very sweet when she went back and told Jennifer Jennifer came out grumbling and rolling her eyes. She started doing my nails very aggressively to the point that two of my cuticles have sores on them. One where she jabbed me with the file and the other, where she left a chemical on it. I asked if she could fix the nail that broke off and she did a really crappy job putting a tip on in. Didn't even match it up to my other nails. She then again passed me off to somebody else. This woman was working on another customer and had to rush through that poor persons experience which I thought was wrong. She paid to relax just as much as I did not to be rushed. The woman Jane that helped me was rushing through doing the basic French manicure that I asked for. The original one had a pink base to it. She was gonna completely skip that part. I asked her not to you and to please do it how I had had it. She finally slowed down and took her time and even made some recommendations on how to go and get my nails to last longer. When I told her what my experience was with Jennifer, she was completely apologetic. I now realize why I stopped going to that salon. Jennifer likes to run it like a sweat shop. When you're paying $60 for a manicure, you wanna go in and relax and have a great experience like I did with Shawn and Hannah. Jennifer definitely needs to go! read more

I took my daughter to Red Persimmon for a back-to-school manicure, and unfortunately this was one of the worst salon experiences I've had. When I signed in, I specifically circled the $23 manicure on the service sheet. I understood that gel would cost extra, but I assumed the additional charge would be reasonable and clearly explained. Apparently not. When we went to pay, I was charged: * Gel Manicure: $50 * French Tip: $7 * Design (+$4): $10 Total: $67 -- plus tip Had the actual price been clearly explained before the service, I could have made an informed decision. Instead, I was presented with a $67 bill after the manicure was already completed. To me, that feels like a bait-and-switch pricing experience. What made it even worse was the response from the woman at the front desk when I asked for an explanation. Rather than trying to understand my concern or explain the pricing professionally, her customer service was dismissive and unhelpful. And for $67, I would expect the actual manicure to be excellent. These are my daughter's natural nails, and the polish and French tips were visibly uneven and sloppy. The designs were cute in concept, but the execution looked rushed and unfinished. To top it off, the bathroom was filthy. A back-to-school manicure should have been a fun experience for my daughter. Instead, I left feeling overcharged, frustrated, and disappointed. I paid $72 for a pedicure that I normally pay $45-$50 for, they're drastically over charging for gel $25 and the screen said plus service, I took my polish off myself so I'm not sure what the plus service fee was. I got a design on two toes, very simple still I didn't even get a French tip and one of my toes was cut to short. then when I paid I still left a tip and the owner looked at me mad and stared like it wasn't enough mind you she didn't even say Thank-you. It's a nice shop but overall for the area there are nail shops in that provide the same quality of service for a more reasonable price. I also did not have any refreshments at this establishment they do offer margaritas, mimosas and wine. I feel like they added that into my total no lie lol, which is crazy because again I didn't have any but I looked it up and they shouldn't be charging for drinks either but to each is its own. Avoid this salon. Poor quality and zero attention to detail. Despite having a 4:00 PM appointment, I wasn't seen for over 30 minutes. The service was unprofessional from start to finish: Gel Manicure: Coats were so thin there were gaps in the polish, and I found lint trapped under the top coat on two nails. It was already peeling by Saturday. Pedicure: My toenails weren't cut straight, and the technician smudged a toe by forcing my foot into my sandal. To top it off, after such a hurried and subpar job, the staff stood around waiting for a tip at the end. One of the worst and expensive places I have been to. Customer service is definitely not a thing here, my gel manicure-- my nails were all shaped different and I only asked for it to be short n square with a simple pastel pink. My toes? I asked for the same color with a square toes and it was all round, the lady that asked did my pedicure didn't really scrub my heel or offer the callus remover. The lady who did my manicure was in a hurry cause she had someone else waiting, she got gel clear polish stuck on my finger tips and nail beds. I literally had to ask her to help me separate my skin and the gel itself, I asked for no massage cause I was literally over it. The total was insane! I am typically not one to leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience to inform other potential customers of the decline in service I've received over the past year. In May, both my daughter and I had our nails done at Red Persimmon Nail Salon using different techniques....dip powder for myself and Gel-X for her. Unfortunately, the dip powder application on my nails was not skillful. The product did not fully cover my nail beds, leaving the sides of my natural nails exposed, and I developed several painful hangnails shortly after. My daughter's Gel-X nails were even more concerning. They began to bubble, soften, and peel off later that same evening. As she was traveling out of state the next day, she was unable to return for repairs. Regrettably, this is not the first issue I've encountered. While I've tried to give the salon the benefit of the doubt in the past, repeated issues have made it clear that the quality of service has become inconsistent. For this reason, we will not be returning to Red Persimmon Nail Salon for future nail services. read more

Got a pedicure on 5/9 and the lady didn't say one word to me. She hurt me on my big toe digging for an ingrown that I don't have and when I asked her for a cut down she didn't even make them even usually I would fix it myself but I'm 39 weeks pregnant and I can even reach my toes. After I left I realized there's a bubble in my left big toe. Their products last better than other places I have been to in the past and I do not experience the lifting on the acrylic nails that I have from other salons.
