Critical: Professionalism, Quality My daughter and niece went and got their nails done today. The woman that did my daughters nails had an attitude the whole time, she complained about the coffin shape, about the length, and then cut her finger! At one point she even gave my daughter the file so she could file her own nails!! What the hell!? If you dont want to do nails, then take the day off lady! And then you didnt let her put her hand under the light to dry her nails? She paid you, you didnt do anything for free! I would not had paid you a dime!

The gap of where the nail was glued.

I don't get my nails done often but when I do I'm always disappointed. I paid 45 bucks for these nasty nails, they're not smooth at all, the white tip takes up half of the nail and you could still see where the nail was glued on. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Lina is the best! I've been going to her for years and I followed her to this shop. Everyone here is amazing. Not just Lina! HI ALL. I just wanted to let you guys know for those who love Lina. She has moved to LV Nails across the street. In the same shopping center as the Starbucks!

Look at the index finger, so thick and uneven.

I rarely leave reviews. And when I do, it's because I'm really happy or REALLY MAD. I can't believe what I even paid for at all with this nail salon. The guy that did my full set obviously did not know how to do acrylic because : 1.) He couldn't even shape my nails into a coffin shape 2.) I made him reglue and reshape 2 of my nails because they were extremely crooked. 3.) It took him 2 tries to put the acrylic powder on my very first nail 4.) He was having such a hard time trying to get the blob of excess acrylic powder off the end of my nails that he started using his finger AND IT WAS STILL THERE. He just pushed it under my nail. 5.) He used the wrong attachment to smooth my nails out that they came out so uneven. He favored the right side so the left side of my nail is thicker than my right. 6.) EVERY NAIL is a different shape and length!!! Literally the worst nail experience I ever had. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN. They were aware this was my first time at their salon and gave me their WORST NAIL TECH. Horrible business move. I had to go home and reshape every single nail. I wasn't going to leave this review, but after spending hours filing my nail, I was so UPSET .STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!

I have been coming to Sky Nails for over 12 years now. The owner Lisa is attentive and makes sure her staff is the same. The salon is clean and they always have the latest trends available plus the prices are competitive. They are however pretty much always super busy, so I recommend making an appointment if you can. I unfortunately have a crazy schedule therefore I am always a drop in but I know the days and times when it's less busy and just wait because it's definitely worth it. I have gone to a couple of other local places but I always come back and after my latest experience with a local nail salon I will never again go anywhere else. I always receive great service and my manicure and pedicure look great, I totally recommend Nance for pedi she rocks. Recently Lina got me to try dip instead of gel and I am so glad I did. It is awesome however only if done right. I made the mistake of going somewhere else where they had no idea what they were doing. I ended up with grainy nails, with a gel top coat that chipped at 5 days for the price of dip. Never again. I will absolutely remain loyal and just do my nails myself until I can get to Sky.

    I don't called this coffin

Me and my daughter went to the salon today to get our nails done and got the worst job ever they messed up my daughters nails they were supposed to be white gel and by the time they were almost done with mine they were already yellow and they were three different shapes and she asked for them to be coffin and were three different lengths. And they were still charging me $38 so I just told them to take it off. And when I took pictures they got mad and asked why was I taking pictures. So I asked to speak to the manager and they said she was out of town on vacation so I told them I wanted to speak to someone that was in charge when the manager wasn't there and they didn't respond so that's how you know they aren't Professional I don't recommend going.

Just filled Friday. This is the 3rd nail that has broke in less than a week.

I've had acrylics for over 10 years plus and never had them break off as much as I've had them since going here the last 2 months. I thought ok maybe it's me but thinking back I had to pry them off before. The first time my mail broke off the owner repaired for free. Well again it happened twice with this day and the guy charged me $4. Well this morning a 3rd time a nail broke off. I'm extremely annoyed that I have to keep going back. This will be my last set coming here!

We had the best time here this morning. We found Doki Doki on Yelp when looking for a nail salon…read morefor my daughter for prom. She looked at some photos and decided she wanted to come here. I called to make an appointment and was able to make one without any issues. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated. We had a bit of a wait because, it was prom. We met our friend from church here as well. My daughter went first since her nails were going to be way more involved. Chloe did her nails and did a fabulous job! They turned out absolutely amazing! They gave me a quote and I approved it, but it ended up being a little bit less. Our friend and I just got the deluxe gel manicures with the sugar scrub, lotion massage and paraffin wax with hot towel treatment. I was in heaven! Mia did my manicure and she was excellent! The place is super cute with pink and floral decor and playing great country music. They accept cards, cash and Zelle. $2 transaction fee for cards. Super easy to tip with Zelle as well. If you pay cash, they have a stamp program to get $20 off after you spend a certain amount and fill the stamp card. We will definitely be back! I think one of those pedicure chairs is calling my name!

I had a really disappointing experience at this nail shop. I showed the tech exactly what I wanted…read moreand clearly told her I wanted to keep my natural nail length. Despite that, she kept filing my nails shorter and even used a sanding band directly on my real nails, which was uncomfortable and damaging. She also kept hitting the tips of my nails, causing them to chip--then filed them down even more to "fix" it, making them much shorter than I wanted. I also want to point out that I understand sanding bands are sometimes used so product can adhere properly. However, I came in with builder gel already on my natural nails and was charged $15 for removal. If I'm being charged for a full takeoff, then all the old product should be completely removed--but it wasn't. They kept saying they weren't done yet, but I do nails myself, so I know what proper removal looks like. At one point, she was already sizing fake nails to apply, and if I hadn't spoken up and insisted that all the old product be removed first, she probably would have applied the new set over leftover product, which is not okay. On top of that, one of my nails actually crickets during the process, even one of her coworkers told her about that nail but she just ignored it, and she didn't fix it or even try to remove and correct it properly, which made the result even worse. I could tell they were struggling with the design I originally asked for, so I tried to make it easier by choosing a simpler one. When I asked about the price, I was shocked--they said each red bow would be $5 extra. At that point, I was already frustrated and just told them to do a basic base color with chrome on top because I wanted to leave. On top of everything, the staff kept talking in Chinese about me, assuming I wouldn't understand, which made the whole experience even more uncomfortable. The owner also had a very unfriendly attitude. Overall, I felt rushed, disrespected, and unhappy with both the service and the result. I won't be coming back. Update on the Owner Reply: I went to a lot of salon to get my nail done and there's no problem with them keeping my real nail under the gel x set. And you guys doesn't even know how remove it correctly so that the client don't feel the heat on there's real nail. You should continue wrapping the client nail with foils until it completely remove all the gel, what the tech did was wrap my nail only one time and then she just keep using the file to file the product down and you should know better that you shouldn't do that (your guys skills is the problem that make our nails thin). My cuticles are hurting right now, still hurt from what your employer did. You guys always said "sorry we will improve our skills and how you treat customers." But in the end it never improve. I recommend you guys go to "Chic Nail and Spa in San Dimas". A very reasonable price with great skills. I usually come here but the tech that usually did my nail went on a vacation that why I have to go to this salon. This salon defending their staff while failing to recognize their own mistakes.

I've lived in the area since 2017 and have tried pretty much every nail salon in Rancho, LA,…read moreTustin, and now here. I currently have a great tech in Tustin that I love, but since she's out of the country for a month I needed a local option for a funeral and a family event, so I came here. I had been here once before the ownership change (not a great experience) and once more just for a quick nail fix before a trip, so I figured I'd give it another try for a full set. I called ahead to confirm pricing and was told $65 for Gel-X and $5 for removal. I also asked if it was cheaper to pay cash, and the explanation I got about "$1.40 rewards" was confusing but nothing was said about a card fee -- so I booked the appointment. When I arrived, the salon was completely empty. It was clean and quiet, which I liked. The technician actually did a great job with removal, shaping, cuticle prep, and application of the Gel-X tips. They use Aprés Gel-X tips, but they're the sculpted style, which I personally don't love because they make the nails look more bulky and rounded. Where things went downhill was the polish. The gel color was extremely streaky and required four coats to look even. By the time it was done, my nails looked thick and puffy, which I really don't like. I also didn't recognize any of the polish brands -- no DND, OPI, CND, or Essie -- which was surprising. Then came checkout. I was told the total was $71.40 because I used a card. When I reminded them I was quoted $70, I was told that the $1.40 would have gone toward "rewards" if I paid cash. If I had known there was a card fee, I would've gone to the bank before coming -- that's literally why I asked about cash pricing on the phone. The service itself was fine, but the pricing communication and the final result were disappointing. My nails don't look how I like them, and the checkout experience left a bad taste. I'll stick with my regular place and only come here again if I'm in a pinch.
