I've been coming to this nail salon for a long time and have generally had great experiences and received good service, which is why today's experience was especially disappointing. During my pedicure, the nail polish they used appeared to be old. It was not applying correctly, looked discolored, and was separating on my nails. I politely asked if the polish could be redone because the finished result simply did not look right. Unfortunately, instead of being understanding or simply correcting the issue, I was met with an attitude and treated poorly for asking to have the polish redone. I was not making an unreasonable request--I just wanted my pedicure to look the way it should after paying for the service. What disappointed me most was not just the quality of the polish, but the way I was treated when I brought the issue to their attention. After being a longtime customer who has normally been happy with the service, I left feeling very uncomfortable and disappointed. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because customers should be able to respectfully bring up a legitimate concern about a service without being made to feel like they are doing something wrong. read more

I don't get my nails done often but when I do I'm always disappointed. I paid 45 bucks for these nasty nails, they're not smooth at all, the white tip takes up half of the nail and you could still see where the nail was glued on. Would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I rarely leave reviews. And when I do, it's because I'm really happy or REALLY MAD. I can't believe what I even paid for at all with this nail salon. The guy that did my full set obviously did not know how to do acrylic because : 1.) He couldn't even shape my nails into a coffin shape 2.) I made him reglue and reshape 2 of my nails because they were extremely crooked. 3.) It took him 2 tries to put the acrylic powder on my very first nail 4.) He was having such a hard time trying to get the blob of excess acrylic powder off the end of my nails that he started using his finger AND IT WAS STILL THERE. He just pushed it under my nail. 5.) He used the wrong attachment to smooth my nails out that they came out so uneven. He favored the right side so the left side of my nail is thicker than my right. 6.) EVERY NAIL is a different shape and length!!! Literally the worst nail experience I ever had. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN. They were aware this was my first time at their salon and gave me their WORST NAIL TECH. Horrible business move. I had to go home and reshape every single nail. I have been coming to Sky Nails for over 12 years now. The owner Lisa is attentive and makes sure her staff is the same. The salon is clean and they always have the latest trends available plus the prices are competitive. They are however pretty much always super busy, so I recommend making an appointment if you can. I unfortunately have a crazy schedule therefore I am always a drop in but I know the days and times when it's less busy and just wait because it's definitely worth it. I have gone to a couple of other local places but I always come back and after my latest experience with a local nail salon I will never again go anywhere else. I always receive great service and my manicure and pedicure look great, I totally recommend Nance for pedi she rocks. Recently Lina got me to try dip instead of gel and I am so glad I did. It is awesome however only if done right. I made the mistake of going somewhere else where they had no idea what they were doing. I ended up with grainy nails, with a gel top coat that chipped at 5 days for the price of dip. Never again. I made an appointment for 2pm.on a Friday and I had to call back to push it bag for 2:30, and they were very accommodating!! They're a small nail shop and I was drawn in by their $27 mani & pedi deal! The shop was clean, and were able to have a tech doing our feet and a separate tech doing our hands. It sounds like it's common sense but I've been to many shops who insist on doing it one at a time. My friend is a guy so I was surprised that they charge men $31 for their gentleman's mani & pedi when he didn't require any polish and probably less cuticle removal.. I got my nails did. A pedicure to be exact and it was out of pure necessity. After a pathetic attempt of cutting my own nails at home that resulted in lodging my left foot into the toilet and falling backwards into the shower, I needed something much safer. This was my first time experience and my daughter came along. Not only did I get the claws on my foot finally cut off, I got a nice massage in the process. Ever got your shins massaged? How about the balls of your feet? Ladies, I get it. The massage is a wonderful bonus. All for $18. I was waiting for weapons of mass destruction to be used on my feet but it was all simple instruments. The only concern I had was the pointy tool. Despite my concerns my manicurist did a wonderful job and I wasn't hurt at all. My feet looked so fresh and so clean! Also, my daughter's French tip with no acrylics came out awesome. I was really looking forward to an upbeat shop and hearing some of the daily gossips. However, the environment was very chill. I'm so sad to ever leave a negative review but I came to this place twice. The first time I got acrylics that popped right off the week after. This time I said I need something stronger so she suggested the dip. First, the filing job is very uneven, but the white parts are extremely uneven. I definitely don't recommend getting dip with white tips, I'm sure it's beautiful with a solid color. The power bled through the supposed to be clear part and my nails show through the sides so the white doesn't even cover completely. She tried to fix two but it made it worse, then they tried to charge me full price when i was extremely not happy. Still debating if I should take them off because I don't think I can look at them for the next couple weeks. Did a last minute mani/pedi before date night. I won't be returning. The polish I picked was apparently running out but the manicurist decided to use it anyway so it didn't come out bright red and sparkling like the nail model, it came out pale red and it looks terrible with my skin tone because there wasn't a good glitter to gel ratio... I paid for gel on my fingers and toes, yet my toes never saw the UV light to set them so either the light is unnecessary or I paid for a service I was not rendered. I'm assuming they didn't use gel on my toes, it looks and feels like normal polish. My nails (hands and toes) came out janky. There's polish on my skin on my toes and I have to re-file them. What did I pay for? I won't give 1 star unless there is literally nothing good about a place. The normal polish choices were highly limited so I went with gel. Their gel collection is pretty satisfactory and the girls who worked on me were nice. I felt like they tried to include me in the conversation which isn't usual for nail places. It's been a little difficult for me to find a nail salon that I like in the IE. I tried this place because it's next door to my eyebrow threading salon (shout out to Slick threading whom I LOVE). I don't get regular manicures but on a day during the week when I was off of work, I was feeling a little saucy after getting my eyebrows done and decided to pop into Sky to see what they were about. I've been pretty disappointed thus far with all other salons I've tried, so I figured trying a new one wouldn't hurt. Since it was a weekday (I believe a Monday), it was pretty slow but not dead. All the techs were busy. I walked in and asked for a gel mani and a pedicure. Candace took care of my manicure. In talking to her, we talked about the never ending problem I've had all my life: My brittle and weak nails. She told me because my nails are so weak, I should consider getting the dip powder manicure since the removal process is less damaging when compared to gel. Okay, why not. Candace was very nice, talkative, and attentive. I never felt like she was talking about me or annoyed (which I've often experienced elsewhere). She cared about giving me an awesome manicure. The gentleman doing my pedicure was quiet but took his time and made sure I had an awesome pedicure. I opted for the callus removal (treat yoself 2018!) and he took his time with it. Overall, he took way more time on my feet than most other salons have and my feet came out looking awesome. The dip powder is pretty cool. Although, the process is a lot more involved. It's almost as if you're getting acrylics (I actually think it is a lighter form of acrylic). They did have a good selection of colors to choose from and they matched my foot polish with my powder pretty well. In the end, I ended up with beautifully colored nails and didn't have to use a UV lamp to get them dry! AWESOME. My only gripe is that Candace did quite a number on my cuticles with the buffer. It was an accident but it still hurt. :-( In any case, I know there have been some bad reviews here but I had an overall great experience. I'll come back but I'm hoping Candace will be there because she just made the whole thing much more pleasant! read more

This is the WORST experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I am not one to leave a bad review, but this deserves it. The owner was the technician that did my nails and they look nothing like the reference picture I shared with her. I asked her to fix my nails multiple times and finally gave up because it just got worse and worse. My mom called to ask the owner for a refund and to take off my nails as the shape is crooked. The owner then physically harassed me, grabbed me by my hand, and dragged me around the salon asking other customers if my nails looked bad. Another technician laughed at me as she watched this go on. Not only was that extremely unprofessional, but it was also embarrassing. She offered to fix my nail shape or take them off tomorrow but refused to give us a refund. After harassing me, she proceeded to say she did nothing wrong. My daughter really liked this nail salon so I gave it shot. I am now considered a regular! Nancy has been taking care of me since day one. I love her! She's super detailed and is very OCD like me so I love that about her. The 1st time I came in I had a full set from the previous nail salon I used. She literally showed me all of the yucky stuff the other salon wasn't cleaning from my nails prior to doing the fill. That's the reason I left the other salon in the first place. Needless to say, she took care of me and made my nails look so pretty. Thanks Nancy! As for waxing... Lee is awesome! She is also very detailed. She evened out my eyebrows and is now shaping them back up from the mess the previous salon did. She is such a kind lady. I really like her. Thanks Lee! Overall the salon is not in the greatest shopping center but the service is great. All of the manicurist are super nice. I've taken my business to the fancy schmancy salons and they don't have the greatest service. The prices are sky-high. In addition to that, they always want to add all kinds of upgrades that you're really not requesting. Here, you won't experience that. It's an old fashioned salon. They are outside and have plexiglass set up and are under shade, the ladies work hard for the clients.
