Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking so that won't be an issue. Customer service was amazing! We were greeted by Dom who was so patient, kind, and knowledgeable about all of the menu items. He became my new bestie in my head I loved him so much lol. I ordered the Grill Daddy which was simple grilled chicken with mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes. It wasn't too bad but I'd do a little less mayo next time. The fries were so fresh and seasoned as well as the fried pickles. Everything was on point! In edition to their chicken meals, they also offer breakfast sandwiches, and beer on tap. The owner even walked around and mingled with customers. A little hidden gem up north! I got a chicken sandwich, seating hot fries, and a fountain drink. Chicken sandwich was amazing. I loved it. Juicy chicken. Tasty sauce. Fresh soft bun. But those fries. Man, they sneak up on you. The first bite, I didn't notice any heat. The second fry, ya, they're spicy, by the 4th fry, whoa! Ya, they're hot. And I was all over it. We came here as part of a Yelp experience, but I ordered a combo for P2 to try out more of their food. We ended up getting their chicken fingers with fried pickles and butter beer. First off, the service was good and we would give it 4 stars, but the food was lacking and more deserving of 2 stars. Our cashier was knowledgeable about the menu and patiently answered our questions. We were given a soda cup with a few pumps of vanilla and caramel syrups, then told to go get root beer to make our butter beer. Honestly, not a big deal, but we just didn't expect to have to put everything together. Our food came out super fast, about a 5-minute wait. The fried pickles looked appetizing at first (they're huge), but they use pickle chips and a ton of breading which affects the texture of the fried pickles. We were looking for a satisfying crunch to our pickles but instead it was mushy. The chicken tenders were also lacking the crispiness you'd expect from fried chicken fingers. The breading didn't seem to have much flavor, nor did the sauce they gave us. The chicken was no doubt tender and juicy. Happy hour prices give 1/2 off appetizers. But for the price we paid for everything, we didn't feel like it matched what we were given. There is good parking and seating, so that makes me happy. I came during happy hour even though I didn't take advantage of it. I will definitely BUY a drink next time . They have a dirty soda menu (very unique option). What I ordered: White Way of delight Dirty soda: TASTY. They ran out of peach flavor, but it was still really really good. I didn't want to put it down The classic daddy combo with seasoned fries: Next time, I'll get mild. My sandwhich was good and I like how all of the ingredients flowed together and didn't overpower the next. My sandwhich remained intact while eating. I had Daddy's sauce for my fries, but I didn't need it. It was a nice addition because the flavor wasn't super strong. It was just right Fried pickles (not pictured): seasoned to perfection, hot, and crispy ! Best I've had in a while War and Peach cider: listen, it was so good I almost took a bow at the machine! I took my Fiance with me to visit Daddy's chicken shack last night. Since we're in Round Rock, I hadn't heard of them before but was excited to checkout a new hot chicken place. No line upon arrival at 8:15 and we were quickly given a friendly and warm welcome. It took us a minute to figure out what we wanted and we ended up getting the 512 (special) and also the nashville daddy but in a combo with fried pickles and Dr P. I appreciated that we could get fried pickles instead of fries as we were trying to figure out how to work the fried pickles into the order without ordering too much and that worked out well. On the Nashville, we chose the level III hot seasoning and then also got a side of jalapeno ranch with it. The restaurant has some cool and interesting decor and there are several tvs and also one of those newish self pour beer machines too: it looked like it had a hazy and one other option but since it was a weeknight and I wasn't drinking, I didn't pay super close attention. It took about 10-15 minutes to get our food and wow, the presentation on the 512 was awesome. It was huge and we weren't sure how to tackle it but I just decided to dive right in and take the biggest bite I could resulting in bbq sauce all over my beard lol. The 512 had bacon, onion strings and cheese in addition to the sauce. She tried the nashville first and said it had nice spice, which coming from her, scared me a bit as she can handle it a bit better than I can. After a few bites, we swapped sandwiches and I tried the nashville and she was right. It started warm and then kept heating up after I finished swallowing so I decided the best course of action was just to keep eating since it was already burning. They did have one even hotter option that I imagine spice lovers would likely enjoy. The fried pickles were pretty big slices with batter; maybe just a tad too much batter but dipped in ranch, there were none left behind. The service was really good and above expectations throughout: the person who helped take our order was friendly and helpful and also came to check on us several times during the meal to ask us how everything was and also see if we needed anything and then also the Manager stopped by and we had a fun chat with her about our meal and she left us with a smile read more

It is very clean in here and I like the decor. They have coloring pages for children as well as several family games. The staff here is friendly. I got a sandwich my first time here and remember liking it but I don't remember it standing out. Still, it was good. Today I got a breakfast burrito and my husband got chicken fingers. The fingers looked pitiful, ESPECIALLY for being an almost $14 meal. My burrito was very enjoyable and made my husband wish he had ordered the same. The prices here are pretty over the top, so we likely will only come during things like BOGO meals (which is why we were here) They also offer beer on tap here for those who fancy some brews. read more

Amazing service, surprisingly cool vibes inside, and I'll say pretty good chicken, but not the best in town. I was most impressed with the service as I was walked through the menu, provided recommendations, and subsequently checked on a couple times after getting my food... but never in a nosey way. I also really liked the inside, with its numerous tv's and self pour draft beer station, giving it a pseudo sports bar feel. I got the Nashville chicken combo, and wished I went for the hot, because the medium spice level was, but wasn't as hot as advertised. The chicken itself wasn't the juiciest, but definitely better than fast food. If you're local to the Leander area I'd say give this place a go, however if you're in Austin and this is a hike for you, stick the to the tried and true Tumble 22, Gus's, or Spicy Boys. read more

Stopped by after church and we really enjoyed ourselves!! The customer service ALONE is reason enough to give this place a try. The staff is amazingly sweet, friendly and knowledgeable. They practically spoiled my little with activity pages and crayons. They have board games and it is decorated so cute and it's really clean. I visited Daddy's Chicken Shack just before Noon on a Sunday and was greeted by a friendly young lady immediately. I ordered the 12-piece Nashville chicken bites meal since it would give leave me with some left overs to take home. They definitely cook everything fresh cause it took close to 10 minutes to get my food (and there were a few other people ahead of me as well). But while waiting I looked around, filled my cup of soda, and discovered they have a self serve beer tap with several beers and cider (which has a happy hour during the week). When my name was called, my tray off food was walked out to my table so I didn't have to get up. The 12 pieces of chicken bites, 2 sauces (daddys sauce and jalapeño ranch), and seasoned fries filled the tray and were hot and fresh. They offer 4 levels of hotness for the chicken and i picked level 3 (Hot) and at first bite i didn't think it was all that spicy but within seconds the heat took over my mouth in a fantastic way! The daddy sauce adds a nice creamy flavor to the chicken and the jalapeño ranch really adds a very hot kick (i think hotter than the hot level of the chicken). So i mostly ate the chicken with the daddy's sauce and dipped the delicious fries into the jalepeno ranch. The fries had just the right crunch and softness in the middle and a lot of flavor deep fried into them. I like how they use a sauce or oil for the spice and not just a powder (like some places) cause it doesn't make a mess on your fingers. I hope they open more locations closer to Austin, since it was a 27 minute drive from the Domain area to Leander, and I would definitely be a repeat customer if it is closer. read more

I only have positive things to say about this place! Me and my boyfriend came here for dinner and we both thought the food and service was incredible. You can really tell that they care about the food that they're serving here. The fries were seriously perfectly cooked. The chicken was so crispy and the batter stayed on while eating. The slaw and sauces were great and we enjoyed the fried pickles. Only critique is that we wished the fries maybe had a little more seasoning on them. I was greeted with a friendly smile from Dom right away. Dom was patient, polite, and very knowledgeable, and when he wasn't 100% sure about something, he didn't hesitate to get an answer. The holiday décor by the front entrance is really cute, and the restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and inviting. There's plenty of seating, and they're even working on building out an outdoor courtyard. The service was great overall. Our food came out quickly, hot, and fresh. We never felt rushed at all. We had plenty of time to relax, enjoy our food at our own pace, and just hang out. The staff checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, which made the experience even better. I ordered the Nashville tenders with the hottest heat level. I figured, why not go for it. The Nashville spice was flavorful and had a good kick. I tried the jalapeño ranch, Daddy's sauce, honey, and BBQ for dipping. All were good, but the jalapeño ranch and BBQ were my favorites. I also ordered the fried pickles. They were fried well and didn't got soggy. One thing I loved was the stack of board games available. We ended up sitting there for hours just eating and talking, and it's such a nice touch if you want to play a game or two while you eat. Nicole, the owner, even took time to stop by and chat with us. We had a really inviting, easygoing conversation. She was friendly, funny, and made us feel genuinely welcome. It added such a personal touch to the experience. I didn't personally use the restroom, but my friend mentioned it was very clean. They also offer a few beers and a hard cider on tap, plus a fun selection of dirty sodas if you want a little razzle dazzle to level up your drink. Tried Daddy's Chicken Shack for the first time this afternoon. I ordered the Nashville fingers with fries. The chicken was tender and crispy. I liked the batter that the chicken was lightly coated with. I was not a fan of the honey mustard nor the jalapeño sauces that I selected. The fries were tasty and crunchy. I also ordered the fried pickles. I found that they had way too much batter that didn't have much taste and I did not care for the flavor of the pickles. The staff were friendly and were attentive to cleaning up tables when guests left. The restaurant had tv's for watching a little Sunday afternoon football. My wife and I had an unbelievable experience at Daddy's Chicken Shack. First of all, the customer service was amazing. Everyone is extremely friendly and we had great conversations with the owner. When it comes to the food, the taste was top notch. We love spicy and the chicken had the perfect spice level (you can customize to your preference). The loaded fries were huge and delicious. The owners are kind and friendly. Classic daddy was great but I wish there was more to the sandwich. Chicken was thick and moist though. Once I got used to the slightly different texture, I really liked it. It doesn't have the thick crunchy breading the way some chicken patty sandwiches do. Its kind of a thinner breading, but quite good. I also got the loaded seasoned fries. They were fresh and hot, and good. Finally, I also tried the Funnel Waffle. The chicken tenders were fair...they didn't look very appetizing...the spice was sprinkled unevenly on the pieces and gave them an odd appearance. They could have been hotter temperature-wise. My son and I ate here for the first time, but I don't think we will be returning. The store is clean, the staff is very friendly, but the food is mediocre. It's no different than Dave's Hot Chicken, or Tumble 22. The food wasn't bad, but nothing special. The season fries were all right at best, though they do not have seasoning on the outside of them just in the batter. They do serve beer here, that you pay for with a card and then dispense your own. My son had the chicken sandwich and hot strips. I had the Nashville hot sandwich with extra pickles. The pickles are sweet, which was disappointing. They add slaw to the sandwich which is very watery so it made my bun very soggy. I would suggest getting the slaw on the side and not on your sandwich. read more

I really enjoyed it. For what could essentially be considered a "fast food restaurant", I thought the quality was really good. It wasn't the greatest chicken sandwich I ever had but it was still very delicious. I had the Nashville Chicken Sandwich (mild) and even the mild had a pretty spicy kick to it. The food is made fresh which I can appreciate even though it makes the wait about 10 minutes. The fries were good, not great. The customer service was excellent. And the inside is actually very spacious and neat. With 4 TVs, a fountain drink station, two kiosks, counter service, and plenty of seating. I was thoroughly impressed. I'll give the food a 4 but overall their business gets a 5 from me. The spot is less than a year old so hopefully they keep this standard up. We were starved so we ordered a crispy chicken sandwich meal for him, an all-American grilled chicken for me with a side salad plus a side of popcorn chicken with Daddy's sauce and BBQ. At first glance portions looked small but these are some THICK sandwiches and they are really filling! Fries are crisp and seasoned; daddy's sauce is very much like Cane's but thicker and with more black pepper. We liked it. Chicken on both were juicy and flavorful. Brioche buns were fresh & tasty, homemade pickles were excellent, slaw on my grilled was crisp; definitely would order again. Kiddo really enjoyed his and said it tasted more homemade than Chick-fil-a. My side deluxe salad was HUGE, lots of bacon bits and cheese so it came home with me. Popcorn chicken was juicy and pieces were big. Really good food! Friendly service, very short wait and dining in was relaxed with four TV's on with a variety of sports. Yeah! Go check them out! We tried Daddy's today, and I'm so happy we did. We are a typical suburban family composed of parents who would rather never see another CFA/McDonalds ever again and children that are so against spices that they will discard 5/10 of the better chicken strips we wish they would try at places that serve real food. In addition to this, my husband and I are total hot heads (me worst of all) and try to eat consciously most of the time. I've been excitedly awaiting this restaurant as I knew salads would be on the menu, getting grilled chicken instead of fried chicken would be a possibility and that spices would be available to adults. We finally had the opportunity to try the chicken shack today and it was even better than I had hoped it would be! Hannah assisted us and she was incredibly helpful both with explaining the menu (a lot of customization options, sides and sauces - yesss!) and so sweet with our children. The food was delicious and turnaround was super quick! As mentioned above, I am super serious about my spice levels and find most "spicy" items to be a lie. After talking it over with the employees ("burn me, I dare you") I ordered a level 4 (out of 5) on my grilled Nashville chicken sandwich and it was perfectly spicy! Not burn your lips/make you cry/drink 3 glasses of water spicy (so I'll be going for 5 next time - ha!), but if you like spice that would be a good starting point! Our kids who are both outrageously picky ate their complete meals and were kept occupied with the fun coloring sheets, which Hannah hung on the wall (making them really proud). So, my son and I wanted to try a different fried chicken place, and we found this place on maps. Drove over, walked inside. Was surprised to find the space in here to be much larger than at first glance from outside! We ordered a chicken deluxe (was hungry) and kids chicken tender, both full meals. And man, am I stuffed! The food is well seasoned! It's what McDonalds and Chick fil a miss out on, and the quality is very distinct in a good way! Also, my son usually leaves some chicken tender leftovers from cfa- not here! After the chicken cooled he devoured it! And I also learned that chicken and bacon go hand in hand in a way I did not even realize. And I am not even a fan of mayonnaise, typically. Just a well thought out (messy) assortment of flavors! We'll definitely be back at some point, don't live in the area but it was a successful experiment! Small thing, we did notice a light odor when we walked in. I suspect some light cleaning would spruce things up. Definitely not a big enough deal to detract from the positive rating; we came here to eat, not hang out for hours. To avoid waiting, I called a small (3 sliders, fries and 1 order of chicken nugs) order at 450p for a 530p p/u. My husband arrived at 515. They didn't have the order. By 525p and me reviewing my order with the staff member (and after sending screen shots as order and pymt proof) the order finally arrived at the location. My husband eventually left the restaurant at 545p with the order. Sadly this experience clouded the critique of the food which was over cooked (very crispy nugs). The fries were good but not good enuff to order from Daddy's Chicken Shack again. FYI - no one apologized; they didn't give a rate a$$. This is the most disappointing. New chicken restaurant located in the Randall's parking lot. Plenty of parking due to the shopping center. They have several ways you can order including a self serve kiosk at the front of the restaurant. I opted in for the cashier since it was my first time visiting, and no one was in line. She gave me recommendations of what was her favorite to get, which I decided on the Nashville, hot chicken sandwich. You can pick your heat level and I decided to go with the one in the middle. It wasn't too bad if you can stand the heat, and the food was still manageable without needing much water. Since I ordered to go, the fries weren't as hot, but still have plenty of seasoning. They have plenty of seating inside. They also have beer on tap. Nuggets and chicken strips were also available along with salads. They do serve breakfast all day! We ordered two combo's, coleslaw and two drinks to go. They forgot the coleslaw and the chicken was over cooked and the pieces were very small.
