Wait time for prescriptions can be very long. even hours. Granted the fault is sometimes the customer who doesn't have the insurance worked out or the doctor's office. The drive through is great only if you're the first or second car, but not necessarily so if they're understaffed at the time you're there. 2. Biggest complaint in addition to the wait times is that someone will call saying the prescription is ready but you get there, and it's not. 3. Not Walgreen's fault but there are often homeless people hanging around the premises and sometimes panhandling. Also be aware that when the Tustin Brewery or other businesses across Newport Blvd. have no parking, people will park at Walgreens and walk across the street. For the most part, this CVS is fine. It can get busy, but then all of them can. What's challenging about this one is the hours are shortened compared to most stand-alone CVS's. This isn't good for people who work and might not be able to pick up prescriptions during the day. The other thing about this location is they often run our of over-the-counter medication, especially around cold and flu time. On the plus side, I've received my last couple of flu/covid shots here and found them to be very friendly and helpful. I always make an appointment which helps, but if a walk-up comes before you check in via the app, you might still be waiting 10-15 minutes. However, I appreciate the fact that they take their time with people and don't rush into just jabbing them with a vaccine and kicking them to the door.

The employee assisting me explained that even though I had 10+ forms of identification with me she needed to scan the back of my drivers license to give me my meds. Another employee working in close proximity to her came over and asked if I know my drivers license number. I do and I gave it to her. I was able to pick up my prescriptions at that time. The employee's name is Noah. I so appreciated his help in saving me a trip of leaving and returning when there was another solution. My medical insurance recently changed from Walgreens to CVS. Shout out to Noah offering his unsolicited help. CVS you have an exemplary employee to be proud of representing your company. He deserves recognition. I'm certain I'm not the only one Noah has helped. It's who he is.

The Target in this place is so comforting and calming as someone with autism. This pharmacist lady who is African American is so sweet and gentle with me. She reminds me of a woman I saw on tv years ago, but I don't know who it could be? She asked me if I was ok after going to the restroom before getting the vaccine shots. I told her that I had matcha on the way here and likely had a bathroom emergency due to the stress and anxiety I was dealing with. This place is so comforting to be in.

I feel bad for the workers because they don't work very well. Another downside is that when I finally decided to get the vaccine, they kept reminding me of it, and because they are so busy, you usually have to wait for the pharmacist as they're constantly being pulled to the counter for customers with questions, especially if there's only one pharmacist! Finally, some of the pharm techs are super nice and very efficient; others, not so much. I always have my app out, but sometimes the regular line moves faster than the line for people with the barcode ready to scan. Finally, I don't know why, but they always close for lunch about the time I get there, which is usually based on when I get out from the doctor, or a couple of weeks ago, when I was released from the hospital and had to wait 20 minutes for them to open. I get that they need to have lunch, but it's amazing how every other company knows how to work around people's lunches to remain open. Now, after all this ranting, they've never messed up my prescription, and when I've shown up early (because I came directly from the doctor's office), they do a great job of speeding up my prescription. The pharmacists I've met are very knowledgeable and helpful. Some of the people transferred from the CVS in the Village of Orange, so I recognize them, and I think they recognize me, which is comforting.

I'm thinking of moving my preferred pharmacy elsewhere, but their large inventory does save me from having them order from offsite and returning the following day.
