Lately, every time I've tried to refill a prescription here, the pharmacy has given me the runaround! I would try refilling one that I was REALLY low on the number of pills left and they almost never have it available, even though it would say on the bottle that there WERE refills remaining on it! I've had to walk on eggshells with my health numerous times because of being told by the pharmacy that they "were out of stock" and having no medication left to take. When I went to buy a Mexican Coke today, the shelf price showed a $1.49 but rung up as $1.89. I bought 2 and I even mentioned to the cashier, "that doesn't sound right. I could've sworn it was $1.49". The cashier said "nope they are $1.89"...so I went back in and checked. Sure enough the shelf said $1.49. No place I know of other than possibly a taco stand/cart/truck are these over $1.49. Even the Walgreens in Tustin has them on sale for $0.99 or $1.29. The 24 hours pharmacy is a lifesaver and it's right next to PAMF so I have my prescriptions sent here if I need them right away. That is about the only thing good about this location. I really do not know what takes pharmacists so long to do the data entry for the meds or count pills. I had four prescriptions and one of them was a tube dental paste and they still told me it would take an hour! It ended up taking them 45 minutes to bag up some malarone, tube of dental paste, traveler's meds and some antibiotics. They wanted me to stand in the long pharmacy line again to pay after I had already stood in line once to see if they were ready. There was only one cashier for 10 people in line. Luckily, the pharmacist was nice enough to ring it up for me. I used a coupon to get cheaper floss and they charged me the regular price. I came to print pictures. I noticed they print big posters! I was very excited because I was looking for this service. My Pastor went to be with the Lord. I needed a large poster print to put in a frame next to the casket. I inquired about it. The man who "helped" me proceeded to say the bigger the picture the worse as he walked away without answering the rest of my questions. I have been coming here for routine lab work. It is easy and convenient. The service lately has been super slow. And very unprofessional. Today 07/31/22 I went in for routine lab work. I waited 40 minutes outside before the place opened. I was first in line. I did not have an appointment. There was a man behind me telling them to hurry up he has things to do. Well we all have things to do. Then I am called in after the customer with the first appointment. No problem there. I sit in second seat. I am told I need urine so I do my sample. I am told they will be right with me. For no apparent reason the male associate skips me and helps the man who had come after me. I sit there. No one speaks to me. Finally I yell out is someone going to help me? Yes we will be with you in a minute.....I'm told this. Meanwhile the man who was behind me is done and waving hood-bye to me. And I am still waiting. Okay first let me start with this is the third time I come here for picture prints. The first time I came was for holiday pictures. They didn't give me envelopes so I had to purchase separately. Second time I came was for more holiday prints they did have envelopes but charged me a different price than the app said. Today was the last straw. The concept of walgreen pictures is great but unfortunately there have been too many inconsistencies. I came to print out my god daughters 15th bday pictures. I put in two orders because there were several pictures. When I came to pick up there was 3 different charges (they separated my orders and charged me more. I had used a coupon that gave me 50% off and I didn't see it in the order although the worker said the discount appeared. There was a discount but not a 50% like I originally selected. Workers are just doing their jobs and it's not their fault. But Walgreens upper management or whoever runs the picture department needs to honor their prices that they quote and stop separating orders! Beyond frustrated! read more

Some people are not cut out to deal with those who are ailing and the staff at the Walgreen's pharmacy are among them. A Walgreens employee with an attitude hassled me for not bringing my insurance company's pharmacy card. I was doubled over her counter in pain as she so sympathetically informed me that most people come to the pharmacy with all of the information needed to get a prescription! Let's get one thing straight here, nine times out of ten, I too arrive places with all of the necessary information to get what is needed. This time I did not because I was never given a pharmacy card. After making sure she made me feel like a worthless nimrod, the woman finally got reacquainted with the concept of customer service and told me she could call the number on the back of my insurance card to get the pharmacy information. As I waited for my prescriptions, the staff bantered back and forth about weekend plans, customers who had annoyed them and what not. It was like the clientele were invisible and the woman clutching the counter top in pain weren't even there. When I finally left the pharmacy I had been at the Walgreen's for longer than I had been at the Urgent Care where I waited to get the medicine. I didn't use the pharmacy, so I can't comment on that, but I am giving 4 stars for the awesome coupon deals! I walked in and picked up one of their coupon/savings pamphlets, and found all kinds of great coupons for things I actually needed, like aluminum foil, dish soap, body lotion and soup. I didn't find the employees necessarily rude, but the make-up counter woman kept following me around and asking me if I was ready to check out. It was almost like she suspected I was stealing, but I'm pretty clean-cut looking...Then she insisted that I check out at the make-up counter register, and the counter was too small for all of my items. I was reading some of the low reviews (at least as related to the pharmacy) but I think some of the reviewers missed something that I have seen after coming to this pharmacy for over 7 years. Yes, they do get backed up (thought this has improved drastically in the last couple of years) but was so bad the first few times I came, the only reason I came back was they actually stocked less common drugs that other pharmacies would have to order. But after the 3rd visit I no longer was bothered by the wait. The reason: They actually SOLVE your issues -- not just punt them. About 80% of the time you pickup a prescription, everything is normal. You give your name and you get your drugs. But about 20% someone screwed something up. They no longer make the drug in the dosage prescribed or your insurance is giving a problem in getting it approved or something else. Unlike any other pharmacy I have gone to in the area, they actually FIXED your problems. Half the time, they just mention it in passing. One example. My wife needed an injectable drug that the doctor though came in prefilled syringes but didn't. When I showed up to pickup the called in prescription, the pharmacist had noticed there were no syringes orders and had already called the doctor to get a prescription for syringes added. Instead of being stuck until the office opened the next day we were good to go. This is just one example of the customer service level. Yes, you wait because they spend 20 minutes fixing the person's in front of yours issues but they FIX it. So I am willing to wait and get my problems solved as well. read more

We went here last night as it was one of the few 24 hour Walgreens, and my boyfriend had to get a prescription filled. We arrived about 11 pm and dropped off the prescription. There was one person in the waiting area for his prescription. The pharmacist was on the phone during the entire exchange, and she told us it would be a 45 minute wait. We traipsed around the store looking at absolutely everything, bored and not expecting this was how we would spend our Friday night. We went back and checked a few times. It was actuall an HOUR AND A HALF before his prescription was ready. When we asked what took so long, they said they had a lot of prescriptions to fill. I'm sorry but it really doesn't seem like an unreasonable request to put the people who are actually IN THE STORE, WAITING for their prescriptions as a higher priority than those who aren't planning to pick up their prescriptions until the next day. They could have at least given us a better time estimate. Maybe we could have gone off and gone bowling while we waited, or gone home to bed. We got there at 11, didn't get the prescription until 12:30. Already too late to take his first dose so he had to wait until this morning anyhow. In addition I left there feeling sick. Something about the air just dried my throat out completely, despite the fact I kept drinking water. NEVER want to give that Walgreens our business again. In terms of the rest of the store...had I wanted to buy anything else, I didn't see anyone at the checkout counter. They had lots of stuff, but some of it was broken, a lot of it appeared to be Dollar Store quality, and much of it was out of place. It felt cheap. Of all the many Walgreen's I frequent in the Bay Area and where ever I'm at, this is my home town, neighborhood favorite most comfortable Walgreen's. Big spacious aisles loaded with your standard Walgreen's stuff & seasonal items too. Had to resist impulsively grabbing & buying a nice pink warm & fuzzy fleece zipped jacket that caught my eye as I walked thru the store toward the back where the pharmacy is located. My mind screamed "$9.99" and my friends deep voice bellowed "you're in rehab" (cuz he knows I'm working on curbing that implusive urge to spend wastefully for nothing). So I sucked it up and kept on steppin right to the pharmacy where thank God there was no one in line. Store was clean and well faced. Wahla, I was the only customer in the store so I was able to make a fast get away past that pink warm & fuzzy. My husband worked at this Walgreen's for almost 20 years in the camera department (camera department manager) until about a year before he passed away in 2004. read more

I didn't realize that there aren't many 24 hour places in Mtn View/Sunnyvale until i had to look for toothpaste, shaving supplies, etc... since i forgot to pack them with me on a recent business trip. This store sucks and its not like the Walgreen stores i'm acustomed to in the City or out here in Austin. Service is slow - i believe all the employees were enjoying each others company and chatting up a storm - must of been a party for them. Unlike most Walgreen's this store does not have a good selection or variety of stuff and its laid out differently. Upkeep is poor as well so the aisles are messy. read more
