I come to this location a once maybe every 2 or 3 months for my Jane Iredale foundation powder. I love Jane Iredale products and this place is the only business that carries her products other than her online store. Usually this place has good guest service, but on a rare occasion, maybe you get an associate that is overwhelmed and kinda gives you a little problem. I wont name names as I have had good service from her in the past but this time around, I showed her a coupon promotion (on my phone) that also gives me a free OPI nail polish. She gave me the coupon but said I had to mention that I wanted the OPI nail polish. Usually, they just give me the promotion complete with free product but for some reason she said I should let her know. I still managed to get my nail polish as I did show her the email I received. Again, she usually gives me good service but this time around (maybe she was having an overwhelming day/maybe she was just didn't realize it included the polish/maybe I didn't look up to par as I was without make up and you'd be surprised as to how many businesses give you crappy service if you don't look the part)...who knows but it was one out of many visits I have had here that I wont consider it anything but a fault day. I will still frequent this location as it is near my job. read more

As others have stated, the staff is extremely condescending, rude and nasty. Someone needs to teach them manners. I can't believe they're still acting the same way after years, and I can't even believe the place is still open. They stood around the register, laughing and giggling, and when I asked them for help, they acted like I was interrupting them. And then one of them called me "honey." By the way, this is the second time I've had this experience at this place. So it is not an isolated incident, and the last time was years ago. Great Response from Danielle ... as you can clearly see they are doing absolutely nothing to try to remedy their customer service issue. read more

11-2025 I purchased shampoo and conditioner during a promo at PB in Sept. Turns out the product was to strong for my hair Post-Chemo. I tried to get a refund and was told it's been over 30 days so I asked for the Corp. Office number. I've been trying to call them and contact them for days now. The sales women was so rude to me. She literally dismissed me once she saw the date on the receipt. She gave me no other options until I asked for the Corp. Office number. Good luck trying to return something at this place. I won't give up I'll still keep calling and trying to contact someone. I found out Post-Chemo you should use baby shampoo if your hair is dry because of the chemo. This is so sad and unfortunate. read more

The staff was very helpful with answering questions and making product recommendations. I feel like it is a bit on the expensive side but I guess you get what you pay for. read more

They say easy return policy which is not true. They don't accept returns even 1 day later

Yelp hours and sign in front say open until 5pm. It's 3pm and they're closed. Wasted a drive there for nothing. I'm sure it's not THAT difficult to update your hours. read more

Thank you thank you! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my amazing makeover by the multi talented makeup artist, David Dorris, in Santa Ana - using Too Faced Cosmetics -- at Planet Beauty Santa ANA. I went in for the first time and was very happy with the location and parking for the store, plenty of parking out front and in the center! Then, the store was soooooooo clean and the ladies were very friendly and helpful. I came to have a makeover with David Dorris, using the Too Faced Cosmetic line, never heard of this brand before (mac user) but was SHOCKED at the results and the texture of the makeup! David had me sit in his magical chair of transformation ( I swear it was a magical chair I'm tellin' ya!) - we talked for a few minutes about what colors I like and what look I wanted him to achieve and we were offfffffffff. I don't wear a lot of makeup, maybe a mascara and some lipstick but I was willing to let David do his thanggggggg and transform me into the look for the evening. David handed me a mirror so I would be able to watch (try to reproduce) the transformation and WOW, WOW, WOW! My smokey eye didn't look the traditional BLACK EYE I tried to give myself - my lips were amazingly plumped (makeup trick he showed me) my brows were PUUUURRRRFECT!!!! and I had flipping cheek bones with pink rosey cheeks! Damnnnnn I looked soooooooo good I left and got my nails and toes done too LOL The end result was awesome and I left with awesome pink boxes of: TOO FACED LashGASM mascara Endless Summer - 16 hour long wear bronzer Smokey Eye Kit - WITH CHEAT SHEET CARDS to help accomplish the 'look' **** Sweethearts perfect flush blush in vanilla Absolutely Flawless flexible coverage concealer Black Orchid colored - Perfect Eyes waterproof eyeliner Beauty Balm skin care makeup with SPF 20 Instant Attitude Brow Lift (this stuff is AMAZING) Perfect Lips Liner in Perfect Red (makes your teeth look even WHITER) and Shadow Insurance - anti crease eye shadow primer *************and a free bottle of OPI nail color********* I got home and changed, went out and had a great time and was complimented all evening on my 'new look' Total Rating is a BIG FAT HUNKING 10 out of 10!!!!!!! The girls were lovely and so sweet, they weren't trying to bs me with 'oh this and that' in that all too famous OC girl attitude and David is a DOLL!!!!!!!!! I had to hug them all! I realized this morning that now I MUST GO BACK because I don't have all the makeup brushes but I compromised this morning and ACCOMPLISHED a gorgeous day look all by myself (using the cheat sheets from the smokey eye kit!!!!!! ************************************* Again, thank you thank you thank you to the ladies of Planet Beauty and the awesomely talented David Dorris - the wonderful Too Faced Cosmetic lines has JUST EARNED A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE - sorry MAC :( read more

I came in here today looking for Suavecito pomade. I saw it on display on the window, I've heard so much about this hair product so I decided to try it out. It was $8.99 and it lasts 36M (36 months= 3 years!) Very friendly young lady, smiling and signed me up for their rewards. I'm coming back here soon, thank you Planet Beauty. read more

I desperately needed help fixing my dead hair for a last minute (virtual) event, and I came here and got everything I needed to get it looking nice again! Walked in, made eye contact with an employee, said hello and was going to ask for assistance when she about-turned, no hello back. The next employee was very helpful and friendly. I saw a sign in the window for $9 brow threading and went for it. Never again there! I get ushered to the back where a lady is stationed in a cluttered, dirty room chit chatting with her friend. I tell her what I want and she begins treatment. I hear other employees complaining about the floods they get and how dirty their back room is where they do waxing and threading, also complaining about their bosses. Then I get a load of my brow job and Yama Mama! - she threaded them down to nothing. Not happy. She then presents with a bill for $23 for lip and brow threading. I complained to the cashier and she was all, sorry. But that was it. Threaded is Sherry. Steer clear! read more

Worst service ever. Unless you know exactly what you are getting don't bother walking in- or be prepared for dirty looks and no help. I walked in and stated that it was my first time here and that I was looking for a mascara and there were two gals working behind the counter at that time and no customers were in the store. The manager pointed the makeup and said all of our makeup is over there. Never once did anyone come over to ask if I needed help finding the mascara. After looking for 5 minutes for mascara I got a little frustrated and stated that I would be going to ulta since I could not find any mascara in that area & the manager laughs and says "okkkkkk". First and last time I will be coming back. Bummer, because I spend about $5000 monthly in products for my business & I was looking for somewhere local since I just moved. read more

I'm so happy to have found this location. I no longer have to make the 5 mile trek to Sally Beauty supply to purchase false eyelashes. The young lady behind the counter was dressed to the nines, her hair appeared to have been styled with care in the morning, and her makeup was nice. When I'm shopping at a beauty store, I want the person behind the counter to actually USE beauty products. She did. When I went in I picked out 2 pairs of lashes and waited at the front. The young lady was helping an older customer and asked the older customer if she would mind if the employee rang me out. When she came up, she noticed I was not taking advantage of a "Buy 3 get 1 free" deal. She told me about it and returned to helping the other customer while I decided on a third pair. I was very impressed by her attentiveness, and the store was well laid out. The price for my false eyelashes was exactly the same as Sally's, but Planet Beauty takes the trophy with their spacious interior and helpful employees. read more

I've never been to a Planet Beauty in my life, so when I came in looking to buy my first eye cream Jacque was the one who recommended Rodial. It was within my range of money I can justify dropping on a vial of gel, so, I was all for it! She chose the Dragon's Blood for me. It's a really nice little container that dispenses a teeny amount when you press it with your finger. She cashed me out & gave me a few samples as well, & I knew I'd be coming back. Out of all the employees working there she was the first & only one to greet me & ask if I needed assistance. That's probably one of the things that makes me decide to shop or leave a store - it's all about customer service & taking the time to really listen to the customer's concerns. Jacque is the best!!! I'll definitely be stopping by when I need another product from Rodial or Artist Couture, for that matter. read more

I shop at Planet Beauty often, but I usually go to the other location. But, I was right next door have a horrendous time at Radio Shack, and I had a Groupon for this place burning a hole in my pocket. I walked in right when they opened. Megan was the only person working and was great! Totally helped me find what I wanted. I got a free nail polish for spending over $40 when I redeemed my Groupon. She also helped me pick out a great OPI 3-in-1 polish that is a base and top coat. This place is well stocked. Have lots of great stuff. Hard not to get out of there without spending a ton because I want everything! read more

Please be aware that I am rating the on-site hairdresser, Sherry Nabavi, rather than the store itself, though the staff seem very friendly and knowledgeable. I have been a client of Sherry's since 2006, and would never change hairdressers ... unless she should move away, heaven forbid. I've had more than 45 years experience with salons, including extremely expensive ones. I've had innumerable cuts, colors, frostings, perms, etc, over the years, and having 'good hair' is ridiculously important to me... I admit it. So I don't choose a hairdresser, or stick with one, unless I can count on having many 'good hair' days as a result of their expertise. Sherry is very skilled, caring, and committed to serving her clients. She works with each one of them to assure satisfaction and happiness with the finished product. She will offer recommendations, but not force her opinions on clients. (Yes, I've had that experience with very high-end hair 'designers' and it can be frustrating.) When working with a client for the first time, she is focused on getting to know their preferences and most of all, their hair. How it will react to treatments and so forth. What processes really can work with a particular client's hair, and what colors will not? Naturally, this may involve a bit of trial and error, but, If something doesn't seem right to a client, Sherry will fix it... no charge, no fuss. She's flexible with making appointments, and even forgives those rude people who cancel at the last minute, or don't bother to cancel at all, or arrive half an hour late and still want to be seen immediately. As to the fees, they are reasonable, not cheap. Who wants cheap? Some services, like the Brazilian Blowout (never needed one) are expensive because of the products used and the time commitment, which is true of most salons. Similarly, other fees (perms, cuts, updo's and so forth) are equal to, and sometimes a bit less than, other good salons in the area. Which brings me to the other important point -- quality products. Sherry does not skimp on products. She uses top quality shampoos, conditioners, perm solutions, etc. and doesn't cut corners for profit. Give Sherry a call. You will not be disappointed. read more

First time at this location . Very limited on what they offer . They didn't have what I was looking for . I had to go to a different location . Small store . Girl at the counter was very helpful read more

I want to give a shoutout to Shawna at the Santa Ana location. I was in last weekend to buys some makeup. Shawna ended up helping me color match and when she found out I was going out later that night she ended up doing all my makeup for me. She did a great job and I got lots of compliments. She was not pushy in forcing me to by all the products, however I liked a lot of them and purchased them anyway. If you need some pampering head on over to see her she is amazing. read more

Customer service horrible. I called in advance to ask if they had something in stock. Woman said yes. I said "great I'm coming now" since it was 6:56 and closing time showed 7:30. I get there 10 min later and the door is locked with staff walking out stating that hours on google haven't been updated to 7 yet. I don't know how it's so hard to update your hours on google. Staff was rude last time I visited as well. Also not a fan of high low pricing scemes read more

Love the the regular salesperson at the Tustin location, she is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

I am a new customer, and I have to say that I am sold on this company by how friendly, informative, and ready to help these employees were. The girl who helped me was able to talk comparison with brands that they did and did not carry, and convinced me to get more than what I came for without any sales pitch. I went in to get some Klorane dry shampoo and ended up leaving with Too Faced Shadow Insurance and the Boudoir Eyes palette as well (on top of a few other things) after talking about it with the rep, and I LOVE THEM. Signed up on the site, and happy to go back. read more

I came here trying to find something for my wife for her birthday & I didn't know where to start.. I tried another location but that was a disaster & I almost didn't even come here but my sister insisted that she really likes this company. Shawna was the one who was helping me the most, I believe the other girl was Sharon. Shawna is incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly & doesn't put pressure on you to purchase something. My wife loved her gifts & the samples they gave me and she is eager to go to the store herself to see what else they have (good for you, bad for my wallet). read more

I went in here looking for some pomade for my brows and the girl working asked if I needed any help and she directed me to some pomade that actually had argon oil. She advised it'd be better since I'm going to be putting it on my face! So helpful! I believe her name was Sabrina, loved her purple hair by the way. She was even nice enough to give my boyfriend and I some free samples. 10/10 experience. Thanks Sabrina! read more

Great customer service, Shawna was the absolute best! She was super helpful, attentive and very sweet.

This place closes before their advertised hours. It says 5:00 p.m. is closing time, they close their doors before 5 o'clock! The employees are still inside, but won't open the door even if one knocks! I would give them a negative star rating, but i guess 1 star is the lowest i can give! Won't be back! Very disappointed. read more

We went in the other day and the sales associate suggested to us a product for my wife's hair. She said that we have 30 days to return the product if she doesn't like it. Well it didn't work for her and we tried to return it. The person in charge said we could only get store credit for our purchase, it says that on our receipt. HELLO.... The sales associate didn't say you have 30 days to return it for a store credit. If that was the case We would have thought twice before trying an untested product. Because of these horrible conditions, I warn you in advance to BEWARE of this store!!!!!! read more

Worst Customer service ever. I was very disappointed when I found out they had discontinued some products. Once I got what I needed she took it to the counter and helped everyone else but me. I also thought I could use a Groupon for a buy 3 get 1 free. This was the only reason I purchased. Sadly I couldn't use it. When I told her I used one a few years back she argued with me. I will never purchase anything or go back to this store. Rude people, and didn't even greet. read more

A couple of weekends ago I went into this Planet Beauty considering a change in hair product. First of all, I was pleasantly greeted by Jamie as I entered the store. She was so very cheerful & was very helpful in my quest to find the perfect shampoo & conditioner. Jamie was able to tell right way what type of hair I have and made several suggestions as to what may work best. After smelling some of the products I had it narrowed down to ColorProof Crazy Smooth Anti-frizz shampoo, conditioner, & hair serum. Jamie let me know that with this shampoo you need to lather it up in your hands a bit before applying to my hair, & boy am I glad she told me so I didn't use too much of this product to get the right results. After just 2 weeks of using this product, my hair is so soft, & the frizziness is definitely more tame. Thank you Jamie for being so helpful in my crazy hair mission! read more

I give this place 5 stars for Sandra's kind and considerate time she spent with me for my hair needs and skin needs. Being a man (and single Dad of a 2 year old) it's hard to know what is best as you start to hit the big 30! I only planned on getting one item but walked out with a whole bag of goodies. I am excited to see the results and will be back for their March 24th Perricone MD event for sure. There were several customers coming in and out and she was able to multi task while still keeping me at arms length. It's been a while since I received customer service of this kind in a beauty store setting. Usually it's people who don't know what they are talking about and Sandra was specific on chemicals and customer feedback. Even though I have shopped here before, I will make it a point to come back again. read more
