Mekdes is an incredibly talented color specialist and stylist, possessing a quiet confidence and sure color placement. I was so grateful to have found myself in her care. I left with exactly what I was hoping for, and more. For context, I have naturally light brown hair (which I use for my lowlights), with some silver at my temples. My hair is curly, and I came in with about 4 inches of grow-out, giving me a light blonde ponytail and a light brown with silver top. Mekdes did such a beautiful job blending my colors and toning to cool down my ponytail -the kind of quality one would expect from a boutique salon, but instead found at the very accessible Ulta, which was such a fun treat to discover. Reading the reviews the same employer named Bella, who worked Friday October 2nd around 6:40 pm was a rude cashier. She had attitude when I went up and requested a fragrance. She said " you're suppose to ask someone on the floor" and I didn't know that but I also didn't see anyone on the floor. She still said again rudely ask someone and I'm like?? Mind you I waited in line and she basically was telling me to leave the line. I'm legit right there facing you ready to purchase and you can't call using your microphone and ear piece to request someone? I usually like coming to this Ulta because the store is pretty organized, but it's hard to ignore a few ongoing issues. A lot of the shelves are dusty, and the prices on the displays don't always match what rings up at the register. But honestly, the main problem is the AC. This is the 3rd time I've come in and the air conditioning is off while it's hot outside. It makes shopping uncomfortable and rushed. I really hope management fixes this soon because it's becoming a recurring problem. read more

This evening we went into ultra to buy only a couple of lipsticks. We were greeted by Johanna and she worked with us for over 15 minutes, finding lipsticks that my daughter and I needed. She even went in the back to find the colors that we needed. She gave us the best Customer Service. She kept her patience with us and she has great positive energy. Then before we left, we met Angel who is helping my daughter find a found foundation. And anybody knows foundations it's not easy because you have like evening and daytime but Angel has been very patient working with my daughter on how to find a good foundation. I stopped by last week to restock on some items. That's when I saw their salon in the back and was hoping to get a trim and blow out. I wasn't sure if I had to call ahead of time but I was immediately assisted by Izzy. She was so sweet and accommodating. She told me her stylist would be in soon. Beautiful, clean store! Great people work here. There is huge selection of goodies so this is a heaven for make up lovers. The lines were super long and they were understaffed so they did a great job to handling the customers. There is plenty of parking outside and this is fun place to be. pretty poor customer service from someone in a management position. i had a pickup order for one singular pack of press-on nails, nothing crazy. i was going to pick it up after work but began having a medical issue and was unable to drive my car. i tried to change my pickup person to my fiance through the app but since i had checked out as a guest, it kept giving me an error message. i called the store to see if i could change the pickup person that way since it might be easier. let it be known that i used to work in retail & customer service so i was very kind in my delivery since i was only asking a simple question. the employee said she would ask her manager & then the manager came on the phone. she continuously cut me off by saying that there's no possible way to do that over the phone because of potential fraud. i tried to respond to ask if there were any other options and in the middle of me talking she said goodbye and hung up the phone immediately. i tried to do it through the app again & create an account but i had no order history so there's no way for me to change the pickup person nor did i even get a chance to ask what i should do instead. i just gave up at that point since i knew if i called i'd only be met with a condescending and berating tone. i'm not mad about the answer bc every company has some sort of policy but the delivery was in poor taste and hanging up while i'm asking for guidance is extremely unprofessional. she spoke to me as if i was stupid or actually trying to commit fraud. im literally just a girl trying to get her press ons read more

This is my is go to Ulta location that I go to for pretty much everything, except wish they carried Fenty Skin and they'd be a one stop place for me. The team here is always helpful and as soon as you walk in you are greeted. There's always individuals ready to help. The reason for my review is not only because they're consistent with customer service but Maria who helped us at checkout went above and beyond to merge accounts. It took some time but she was willing to do so. She was so kind and informed us it can take a few days for them to merge. In the pass we've asked and the individual declines but Maria ases for assistance so we can merge and was very helpful. As she was helping us I noticed she was multitasking and greeting individuals walking in. It was nice to see how she was focus and helpful. Now I can just walk to get my beauty supplies! I am so excited. I also did not know that they have a lot of products, which I would get from Sephora. From Urban Decay to Philosophy! Even Peter Thomas Roth for facial washes and OPI for nail polish. It took the location of Pier 1 Imports in a shopping center of Barnes and Noble. Brand new and renovated. It feels so clean! Lived up the the street for years, did not realize this Ulta was here. It's across from Santa Ana Mainplace mall, in same shopping center as Barnes & Noble next to Ross. I've been to some Ulta stores that were disheveled, didn't have the products I wanted in stock and the staff were rude, but this one is one of the best stores I've been to. I've always been able to find the products I need and the staff are all really nice plus the store is neat and tidy. I would recommend this location all the time if you're in the area. read more

Dennis was very informative on all the products and services they have, so when he let me know they actually do lightening and toning at the salon in store I was really excited to hear that and set up an appointment for the next day immediately! This Ulta is pretty bad. The products are messy always. Most of the staff are kind but some are unhelpful. Today I purchased two products from a specific line and there were advertisements up on the shelves stating if you spend 50 on that brand you receive a free mascara. When i was wrung up and asked about the mascara, the two employees assisting me seemed confused, searched online to see if the offer was real, and when they discovered it was, they took all of 20 seconds to look in their front counter drawers to see if they had any of the mascaras that were in the offer before quickly stating they have none then saying they could give me a free sample of another mascara brand for free. Additionally, the woman that wrung me up said to the other employee that i only spent 26 dollars on one product not the full 50. I had to reach in the ulta bag myself to pull out the 45 dollar foundation and the 26 dollar concealer by the same brand to show her (why she could not make the simple observation herself, i do not know). I told the store manager they should probably take the signs off the shelves if they cant fulfill the offer and they said they were doing it right then. When i got to my car i noticed that one of the products i purchased was tampered with and used. It just seems very obvious that the store is disorganized and the products are not monitored to see if they are being damaged by customers at all. Now i have a 45 dollar cream foundation thats used (trash), a 26 dollar concealer that is fine, and a mascara i never wanted. I wont be returning to this location.
