I usually like coming to this Ulta because the store is pretty organized, but it's hard to ignore a few ongoing issues. A lot of the shelves are dusty, and the prices on the displays don't always match what rings up at the register. But honestly, the main problem is the AC. This is the 3rd time I've come in and the air conditioning is off while it's hot outside. It makes shopping uncomfortable and rushed. I really hope management fixes this soon because it's becoming a recurring problem. read more

I would give a negative feedback but won't let me . My bf had gotten me a $50 gift card from here for valentines . I saved it until last month when I wanted use but when I tried using it the balance was 0 . I had contacted customer service and they told me I would get my money back then after like a month of waiting . They told me I had used it in Feb . (Which is not true bc I haven't even taken off the sticker tht has the pin ) which I told them. After they told me if I had proof i purchased it which I did . This evening we went into ultra to buy only a couple of lipsticks. We were greeted by Johanna and she worked with us for over 15 minutes, finding lipsticks that my daughter and I needed. She even went in the back to find the colors that we needed. She gave us the best Customer Service. She kept her patience with us and she has great positive energy. Then before we left, we met Angel who is helping my daughter find a found foundation. And anybody knows foundations it's not easy because you have like evening and daytime but Angel has been very patient working with my daughter on how to find a good foundation. Okay, as a curly girl who has yet to "truly figure it out" i have no shame admitting that i try everything at least once....HOWEVER Ive been coming to this locations salon for 2 years now to get my curly cut! The lines were super long and they were understaffed so they did a great job to handling the customers. There is plenty of parking outside and this is fun place to be. I had a great experience here yesterday. I'm a much old(er) woman and was trying to figure out the right shade of foundation for mature skin. They had bottles of testers and I had about 10 shades on my arm (I thought that's how you matched colors). A very nice salesperson came, saw me and lead me to a stool to sit down. Made an appt with Margarita because she had good reviews. Booking made days in advance yet it was canceled just 1 hour before my appt time. When I called the salon to ask why it was canceled, the receptionist said the stylist "couldn't accommodate me"....what does this even mean? You're not "accommodating" me when I have an appt. I came in on Saturday with my sister and Danny approached us, asked if we needed help (skeptical at first, most make-up artist don't know what they are doing, from my experience). This is my is go to Ulta location that I go to for pretty much everything, except wish they carried Fenty Skin and they'd be a one stop place for me. The team here is always helpful and as soon as you walk in you are greeted. There's always individuals ready to help. The reason for my review is not only because they're consistent with customer service but Maria who helped us at checkout went above and beyond to merge accounts. It took some time but she was willing to do so. She was so kind and informed us it can take a few days for them to merge. In the pass we've asked and the individual declines but Maria ases for assistance so we can merge and was very helpful. As she was helping us I noticed she was multitasking and greeting individuals walking in. It was nice to see how she was focus and helpful. I go for my Brows Fix at Jamboree Market Place or Tustin Legacy on Park Ave for years. Sadly they were all booked and decided to go to this location which had a lot of opening and kind os scared me. Now i know why..... Mckenna K. was our brow expert of the day and let me tell you she pull with tweezer very very slowly and that can be painful for soome people. You never do that. I went in on Sunday to get some bleach/ lightening kits in an attempt to lighten my hair at home .. Dennis was very informative on all the products and services they have, so when he let me know they actually do lightening and toning at the salon in store I was really excited to hear that and set up an appointment for the next day immediately! Excellent new location in the city of Orange! This one is by the MainPlace Mall versus the other one is inside the Village of Orange (a.k.a. Orange Mall). Now I can just walk to get my beauty supplies! I am so excited. I also did not know that they have a lot of products, which I would get from Sephora. From Urban Decay to Philosophy! Even Peter Thomas Roth for facial washes and OPI for nail polish. It took the location of Pier 1 Imports in a shopping center of Barnes and Noble. Brand new and renovated. It feels so clean! This Ulta is pretty bad. The products are messy always. Most of the staff are kind but some are unhelpful. Today I purchased two products from a specific line and there were advertisements up on the shelves stating if you spend 50 on that brand you receive a free mascara. When i was wrung up and asked about the mascara, the two employees assisting me seemed confused, searched online to see if the offer was real, and when they discovered it was, they took all of 20 seconds to look in their front counter drawers to see if they had any of the mascaras that were in the offer before quickly stating they have none then saying they could give me a free sample of another mascara brand for free. Additionally, the woman that wrung me up said to the other employee that i only spent 26 dollars on one product not the full 50. I had to reach in the ulta bag myself to pull out the 45 dollar foundation and the 26 dollar concealer by the same brand to show her (why she could not make the simple observation herself, i do not know). I told the store manager they should probably take the signs off the shelves if they cant fulfill the offer and they said they were doing it right then. When i got to my car i noticed that one of the products i purchased was tampered with and used. It just seems very obvious that the store is disorganized and the products are not monitored to see if they are being damaged by customers at all. Now i have a 45 dollar cream foundation thats used (trash), a 26 dollar concealer that is fine, and a mascara i never wanted. I wont be returning to this location. Lived up the the street for years, did not realize this Ulta was here. It's across from Santa Ana Mainplace mall, in same shopping center as Barnes & Noble next to Ross. I've been to some Ulta stores that were disheveled, didn't have the products I wanted in stock and the staff were rude, but this one is one of the best stores I've been to. I've always been able to find the products I need and the staff are all really nice plus the store is neat and tidy. I would recommend this location all the time if you're in the area. read more

Ulta is my top favorite beauty supply store to shop at, I spend $200+ every time I go. It does not even matter if I spend $5 im still a loyal customer. I have NEVER once even accidentally stole from them and yesterday I decided to go about 6:30pm I had the WORST experience ever at this location. The employees were being VERY rude and unprofessional, I understand the need to check on people for store policies and such especially it being the holidays people tend to get paranoid. Trust me I know I also work in retail, but to stare and surround us with not one but multiple employees breathing down our necks making sure we don't steal I have never felt more belittled at an ulta. Its not the fact I felt threatened by these little girls its the fact I felt uncomfortable and judged, there was one nice employee and she was a tall lady who helped us out one time but all her co workers were these little girls who need to do their job better and make people feel welcomed instead of unwanted. Went in earlier this week to pick up a few items to do my makeup for a wedding. I'm always shy to ask for help but because it's been a while since I've done my own makeup, I walked over to Rachel to help me choose a foundation and concealer. I told her I have oily skin and wanted a matte finish & she tested a few concealers on me until we found the right one & suggested the Milani blurring primer which was AWESOME. She was also kind enough to recommend the same fountain she had on, which I appreciated because who would know how good a foundation is but someone who wears it? Although they didn't have my shade, she said I could get it from Target (an Ulta partner) and even suggested a shade that would be a great match. & IT WAS. Not only did my final look turn out great, but it stayed great! My makeup didn't move, even though I had cried during the wedding and sweat during the reception.I am so grateful for Rachel!
