My friends and I had services done here today as part of a girls' day and we had a great time. We all planned for the Platinum package and it didn't disappoint. We booked our appt for March 14th back in early to mid January. The day before, the spa needed to make a time change for our group and we moved it to one hour later than originally planned. No issues on our end. They communicated it clearly and even added foot massages due to the change. All of the technicians we had were great. I had Ruby and she was fantastic from beginning to end. I would go out of my way to request her again. I was super relaxed and felt very refreshed at the end. There were some guests that were there before us who were very talkative and social while getting their hair dried in the back at the end of their service. Because the space in the back is fully open to where people are getting their treatment it was a bit distracting and harder to relax until they left the spa. It could help if quiet rules were enforced to make sure all patrons at all stages of their service are getting the most peaceful experience throughout. Overall great first head spa experience. My husband and I visited today and booked the platinum package. The spa itself is very clean, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Check-in was smooth, and overall the environment felt calm and well-maintained. My husband had Emily, and he said his experience was amazing, very relaxing, thorough, and definitely worth it. He's usually very picky with massages and spa services, so that says a lot. Unfortunately, my experience was very different. My therapist (Elissa/Alissa) was very sweet and kind, but the service itself felt inconsistent. The session felt all over the place. This also wasn't my first head spa experience, so I do have a general idea of how it's supposed to feel. The shoulder massage was pretty good. During the facial portion though, the touch was extremely light, it felt like the sponges barely made contact with my skin. There also wasn't much structure or flow. Instead of a smooth sequence, it felt random and disconnected. She also frequently moved between my hair and face, which made the treatment feel less cohesive and made me unsure whether hair products (shampoo/mask/etc.) were coming into contact with my face. At one point she used cold tools (maybe gua sha or rollers?), but they barely touched my face, so it didn't feel effective or relaxing. The water temperature was also VERY inconsistent, sometimes too hot (almost burning), other times suddenly cold enough that I started shivering, which made it hard to relax. :( During the head spa portion, I finished about 5 minutes earlier than my husband even though he started a few minutes before me. We did finish around the same time overall, but that was mainly because his hair drying took less time since he has short hair. I didn't say anything during the service because there were other guests in the room, and I didn't want to disturb their experience. I was planning to mention it afterward, but there was another guest waiting at the front desk, so I didn't feel comfortable bringing it up. About 30 minutes after the treatment, my face became red, itchy, and developed small bumps on my forehead. My skin is not usually sensitive/reactive, so this was unexpected. I'm not entirely sure what caused it, but given how often the treatment moved between my hair and face, I do wonder if some hair products may have contributed. :( Based on my husband's experience and other reviews, I do think this place is capable of providing a great service. I may have just had an off experience, but I would recommend requesting Emily to be safe. :) read more

Not what I expected. Had great yelp reviews so I chose this place to take my daughter for her birthday. I called to ask about the best package. They recommended the platinum or diamond and package. I ended up booking the platinum package. When booking they do not tell you the deposit is Non-refundable. They also tell you, you can pay with card but when taking the deposit, "the machine was down." So I had to pay Venmo or Zelle. Once we arrived, they confirm your treatment and then you pay the balance. Well once again they couldn't get the credit card machine to work. I had to pay Venmo or Zelle. Pretty sure it's just a scam to get you to pay cash. This screams money laundering to me. Platinum package was basically a facial. The lady even put the exfoliation on my eyes and the facial cream on my eyes as well. I have never had this happen in a facial. They should know you Never put anything on people eyes! They shampoo your hair, condition it and blow dry but for the majority of the time it's a facial. Also the water was cold and very inconsistent. I was looking for more of a head/hair treatment. I've been trying out different head spas over the past couple years both on my own and with friend recommendations. This is one I visited last month on a whim based on location as I was in the area. To date, and at least 5-6 head spas later, this was hands down the best experience!!! I made an appointment the day before. The reservation has a deposit (like every other one I've been to). Balance is paid upon arrival. I was asked if i would like pictures and to not only feel the experience, i was curious visually as well,, so of course i said yes. This one was so different and hands down the most relaxing. Not only was it nicely decorated and inviting just walking in, the session matched in energy and warmth. Ivy was amazing! She took such great care of me and provided wonderful pictures so I saw what happened behind the scenes while I was relaxing. What a treat and what a surprise for me! We did a sister day at Blue Moon Head Spa to celebrate my birthday. I had no idea a place like this existed. It was a nice and relaxing head massage and shampoo. I loved the hair shower gadget. They give you a cute strapless top, robes and slippers to wear. Overall, it was a good experience. There are several lay down beds for where the head messages and shampoos take place. Located at the very back of the shop is seating to accommodate four blow dryings at at time. In the same area are lockers , one dressing room and one bathroom to change. On the Saturday we were there, it was packed and really cramped to move around. They push a lot to review . . . this bothers me a bit. A place worth reviewing doesn't need to push for reviews. Anyway, if you are in need of some calming rest and relaxation, Blue Moon Head Spa is worthwhile. Probably best to go during the week to avoid the crowds. read more

I took my maid of honor here as a thank you, as she really wanted a scalp massage. We booked the diamond package for both of us, as I figured we should go all out! Before it starts, you fill out a waver that says the pressure you would like, in which I chose medium/soft (for my head). The gal working with me was Emily and she was super sweet. They also had my friend right next to me. They were busy, and I esp loved that they were super efficient with the time, and work hard to make you comfortable throughout the whole experience. Please note, I have fine/thin hair, and I'm not sure if this experience would be recommended if you have this. The overall scalp massage felt more rough, def not soft, and considering this is a 2 hour experience, I felt like the top of my head was pretty sore when we were done. Also, since my hair is more dry and tangly, it was tough to have my hair brushed, and painful to say the least. Thankfully this part didn't last too long and I blame myself for not speaking up. The massage during the experience was PERFECT! Nice and hard which was great. It was definitely relaxing and you can tell that these girls work hard. My friend loved the experience, but she also has thicker hair, and prob didn't have the same issue as me. Awesome place to check out, but maybe something to think more about if you have thinner hair/hair loss. read more

Other spas will use a camera to show you a before and after comparison, or use hair specialty products to stimulate hair growth or other such services. I left with clean hair that was slightly softer, albeit a bit frizzy. I had to ask for oil to tamp it down a bit. Other spas have given me lighter, shinier, and softer hair. Taira was my technician and she was amazing!! I got the gold package which was totally worth it. I could have stayed there for forever 100% recommend! Special mention of the receptionist. I cover my head but I never ask for extra accommodation or anything As I know it's hard here to expect anything like that. But she said it herself that she will put me in the private room as there was a male present. I thought that was so precious and understanding of her even though she did not have to. Im honestly not sure how this place has so many 5 star reviews. Maybe we just had an unlucky experience, but our specialist was not very good. My boyfriend and I came here after spending two days at Disney and were excited to try something new, but it ended up being nothing special at all. The photos online are very deceiving. They make the spa look remodeled and very clean, but that was not the case. The spa did not feel clean. They offer reusable sandals, which did not appear to be cleaned after each use, and we even found insects in the corner of the changing room. The changing room itself was also very small. The location is very small overall, and you can hear everything happening around you during your service, which made it hard to relax. The staff was nice, but the experience was not therapeutic. We booked the Platinum package plus a foot massage, and unfortunately, the foot massage was not worth it. Based on the reviews, I expected a much better experience. Very disappointed. read more

My person was very calming and soothing and gave me good pressure for the massages. I really enjoyed that the seating had your feet raised fairly high so it felt nice for the circulation. The only thing I would improve is the space itself. It was pretty small and seemed cramped with all the stations pretty close to each other with only a sheet to separate each client. The outside felt a bit sketchy too so was a little apprehensive entering.
