My friends and I had services done here today as part of a girls' day and we had a great time. We all planned for the Platinum package and it didn't disappoint. We booked our appt for March 14th back in early to mid January. The day before, the spa needed to make a time change for our group and we moved it to one hour later than originally planned. No issues on our end. They communicated it clearly and even added foot massages due to the change. All of the technicians we had were great. I had Ruby and she was fantastic from beginning to end. I would go out of my way to request her again. I was super relaxed and felt very refreshed at the end. There were some guests that were there before us who were very talkative and social while getting their hair dried in the back at the end of their service. Because the space in the back is fully open to where people are getting their treatment it was a bit distracting and harder to relax until they left the spa. It could help if quiet rules were enforced to make sure all patrons at all stages of their service are getting the most peaceful experience throughout. Overall great first head spa experience. I genuinely wish that I had a good experience here, given that it was so expensive. I figured this was a "when in Rome" situation, and booked the VIP Package. The photos are a bit deceiving. The whole floor, including the entrance, were very cramped. It felt like one wrong move, one sneeze and I was going to disturb or knock into other patrons. It is very tight! Unfortunately, I did not find this experience relaxing at all. Ultimately, it felt more like a glorified facial rather than a head spa. It felt like my technician was everywhere and nowhere, seemingly not remembering the order of things. During the treatment, I began to feel a line of burning along my upper back and arms. Come to find out afterwards that I experienced chemical burns that coincides where the table/water line meet. There were just so many products used. I am not someone who is sensitive to products so this came as a surprise to me. When I pressed for information on brands, type of lotion, etc. both the technician and receptionist seemed clueless on what products their salon was stocked with. For the price I paid and the experience I had, I can't justify returning or recommending this establishment to anyone else. read more

My husband and I visited today and booked the platinum package. The spa itself is very clean, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Check-in was smooth, and overall the environment felt calm and well-maintained. My husband had Emily, and he said his experience was amazing, very relaxing, thorough, and definitely worth it. He's usually very picky with massages and spa services, so that says a lot. Unfortunately, my experience was very different. My therapist (Elissa/Alissa) was very sweet and kind, but the service itself felt inconsistent. The session felt all over the place. This also wasn't my first head spa experience, so I do have a general idea of how it's supposed to feel. The shoulder massage was pretty good. During the facial portion though, the touch was extremely light, it felt like the sponges barely made contact with my skin. There also wasn't much structure or flow. Instead of a smooth sequence, it felt random and disconnected. She also frequently moved between my hair and face, which made the treatment feel less cohesive and made me unsure whether hair products (shampoo/mask/etc.) were coming into contact with my face. At one point she used cold tools (maybe gua sha or rollers?), but they barely touched my face, so it didn't feel effective or relaxing. The water temperature was also VERY inconsistent, sometimes too hot (almost burning), other times suddenly cold enough that I started shivering, which made it hard to relax. :( During the head spa portion, I finished about 5 minutes earlier than my husband even though he started a few minutes before me. We did finish around the same time overall, but that was mainly because his hair drying took less time since he has short hair. I didn't say anything during the service because there were other guests in the room, and I didn't want to disturb their experience. I was planning to mention it afterward, but there was another guest waiting at the front desk, so I didn't feel comfortable bringing it up. About 30 minutes after the treatment, my face became red, itchy, and developed small bumps on my forehead. My skin is not usually sensitive/reactive, so this was unexpected. I'm not entirely sure what caused it, but given how often the treatment moved between my hair and face, I do wonder if some hair products may have contributed. :( Based on my husband's experience and other reviews, I do think this place is capable of providing a great service. Not what I expected. Had great yelp reviews so I chose this place to take my daughter for her birthday. I called to ask about the best package. They recommended the platinum or diamond and package. I ended up booking the platinum package. When booking they do not tell you the deposit is Non-refundable. They also tell you, you can pay with card but when taking the deposit, "the machine was down." So I had to pay Venmo or Zelle. Once we arrived, they confirm your treatment and then you pay the balance. Well once again they couldn't get the credit card machine to work. I had to pay Venmo or Zelle. Pretty sure it's just a scam to get you to pay cash. This screams money laundering to me. Platinum package was basically a facial. The lady even put the exfoliation on my eyes and the facial cream on my eyes as well. I have never had this happen in a facial. They should know you Never put anything on people eyes! They shampoo your hair, condition it and blow dry but for the majority of the time it's a facial. Also the water was cold and very inconsistent. I was looking for more of a head/hair treatment. Amazing experience, really great service. This place is not on the cheap/affordable side but the service is great. I got their 175$ package which included so many services such as neck/shoulder/arm massage, facial, scalp focus and more exfoliation. I really enjoyed the whole 100 minutes I was in there, Emy did my service and I loved her work. What a great experience! My bestie and I had a self care day and have been wanting to do a head spa experience. She found this great location in Orange, who were able to get us in as walk-ins (appointment recommended if you prefer a specific time). They have upfront packages, which we did the platinum and it was worth it! The spa service was so relaxing and just what we needed! It's a facial, hair cleansing and treatment, and a massage. My therapist was Devon and she did a great job! The treatment concluded with a nice snack and a blow dry, which she did an amazing job because my hair doesn't try straight so she blew it straight without any frizz (also the Dyson driers were nice!) Wendy took care of me, she was very polite, respectful and did a great job with everything. The facial was so good, the face massage was my favorite, hair treatment was good, very relaxing but the water ring water pressure could be stronger, I was expecting a little more but it was just ok, they use like a scalp massager that was amazing!!! I've been trying out different head spas over the past couple years both on my own and with friend recommendations. This is one I visited last month on a whim based on location as I was in the area. To date, and at least 5-6 head spas later, this was hands down the best experience!!! I made an appointment the day before. The reservation has a deposit (like every other one I've been to). Balance is paid upon arrival. I was asked if i would like pictures and to not only feel the experience, i was curious visually as well,, so of course i said yes. This one was so different and hands down the most relaxing. Not only was it nicely decorated and inviting just walking in, the session matched in energy and warmth. Ivy was amazing! She took such great care of me and provided wonderful pictures so I saw what happened behind the scenes while I was relaxing. I Was Duped by Social Media -- Save Your Money I was absolutely duped by social media. Do not believe everything you see on the Gram. Blue Moon Head Spa's videos showed what looked like a luxurious experience with comfortable beds, relaxing scalp massages, honey and flowers, shoulder and foot massages, and a professional blow dry. Their online menu listed numerous treatments and ingredients, so at the "discounted" price of $255, I expected a premium spa experience. I probably should have known better when we pulled into a basic community shopping center that is directly attached to a Stater Bros., but I decided not to judge the location. When we entered, it smelled amazing, the front was soothing, and the staff was sweet and accommodating. Unfortunately, when we walked to the back, we found small cubicle-like spaces separated by curtains and extremely hard plastic beds. I had to lie on that rock-hard bed for approximately two hours and spent much of the treatment trying to reposition myself because I was so uncomfortable. The actual head massage lasted less than five minutes. No exaggeration. It was done using a small handheld scalp massager you can buy online for around $30, and ironically, that was the best part of the entire experience. I actually went home and bought one myself. The shoulder "massage" consisted mostly of the technician brushing her hands up and down my neck and shoulders with very little actual massaging. She also only massaged ONE of my feet. I repeatedly tried to tell her she had forgotten the other foot, but because of the language barrier, she could not understand what I was saying. Most of the two hours consisted of different liquids being applied while my scalp was repeatedly scratched and shampooed. I could smell honey during one portion, but overall, it felt like a two-hour-long, scratchy, glorified head shampoo experience. Everything felt rushed rather than slow, soothing, and relaxing like the experience shown online. At the end, I was given a syrupy carbonated drink in a champagne glass, two Biscoff cookies, and exactly eight green grapes. Yes, I counted. Then came the "blow dry," which consisted of a low-powered dryer blowing my hair around without a brush. When I asked if she planned to use a brush to actually dry my hair, she handed it to me and told me I could do it myself. My technician was very nice, and the staff was pleasant, so my disappointment is not about their kindness. The problem is that the experience I received did not come close to what I believed I was purchasing based on the social media advertising, online menu, price, and presentation. I left feeling extremely disappointed and honestly feeling scammed. For $255, I expected a real extended scalp massage, an actual shoulder massage, BOTH feet to be massaged, a comfortable treatment bed, relaxing treatments, and a proper blow dry. Instead, I spent two uncomfortable hours on a rock-hard table receiving what felt primarily like an elaborate shampoo and scalp-scratching treatment. Please save your money and do not let the beautiful social media videos deceive you the way they deceived me. For me, this experience was absolutely not worth the money, effort, or two uncomfortable hours. read more

What a treat and what a surprise for me! We did a sister day at Blue Moon Head Spa to celebrate my birthday. I had no idea a place like this existed. It was a nice and relaxing head massage and shampoo. I loved the hair shower gadget. They give you a cute strapless top, robes and slippers to wear. Overall, it was a good experience. There are several lay down beds for where the head messages and shampoos take place. Located at the very back of the shop is seating to accommodate four blow dryings at at time. In the same area are lockers , one dressing room and one bathroom to change. On the Saturday we were there, it was packed and really cramped to move around. They push a lot to review . . . this bothers me a bit. A place worth reviewing doesn't need to push for reviews. Anyway, if you are in need of some calming rest and relaxation, Blue Moon Head Spa is worthwhile. Probably best to go during the week to avoid the crowds. read more

OMG this place is amazing! Literally it is a deep tissue massage for the scalp and face including neck and shoulders. I made a reservation for the Platinum Package and it was worth each penny. 1 hour and a half of oils, moisturizers everything to massage the scalp and face. The fresh look and feeling is amazing. You check in the place and you get a robe and like a tube dress. Then you go to your station. My therapist was Helen, she was amazing!! Next time I will request her again. I took my maid of honor here as a thank you, as she really wanted a scalp massage. We booked the diamond package for both of us, as I figured we should go all out! Before it starts, you fill out a waver that says the pressure you would like, in which I chose medium/soft (for my head). The gal working with me was Emily and she was super sweet. They also had my friend right next to me. They were busy, and I esp loved that they were super efficient with the time, and work hard to make you comfortable throughout the whole experience. Please note, I have fine/thin hair, and I'm not sure if this experience would be recommended if you have this. The overall scalp massage felt more rough, def not soft, and considering this is a 2 hour experience, I felt like the top of my head was pretty sore when we were done. Also, since my hair is more dry and tangly, it was tough to have my hair brushed, and painful to say the least. Thankfully this part didn't last too long and I blame myself for not speaking up. The massage during the experience was PERFECT! Nice and hard which was great. It was definitely relaxing and you can tell that these girls work hard. My friend loved the experience, but she also has thicker hair, and prob didn't have the same issue as me. Her lady took her in first and brought her out after I was done with my treatment. I was not as impressed, my lady was just not as good with the massaging or other stuff. My person was very calming and soothing and gave me good pressure for the massages. I really enjoyed that the seating had your feet raised fairly high so it felt nice for the circulation.
