We booked our appt for March 14th back in early to mid January. The day before, the spa needed to make a time change for our group and we moved it to one hour later than originally planned. No issues on our end. They communicated it clearly and even added foot massages due to the change. All of the technicians we had were great. I had Ruby and she was fantastic from beginning to end. I would go out of my way to request her again. I was super relaxed and felt very refreshed at the end. There were some guests that were there before us who were very talkative and social while getting their hair dried in the back at the end of their service. Because the space in the back is fully open to where people are getting their treatment it was a bit distracting and harder to relax until they left the spa. It could help if quiet rules were enforced to make sure all patrons at all stages of their service are getting the most peaceful experience throughout. Overall great first head spa experience. Come to find out afterwards that I experienced chemical burns that coincides where the table/water line meet. There were just so many products used. I am not someone who is sensitive to products so this came as a surprise to me. When I pressed for information on brands, type of lotion, etc. both the technician and receptionist seemed clueless on what products their salon was stocked with. This experience felt very different from the massage I had about a week ago in the best way possible. Shirley took the time at the beginning to have me circle the areas I wanted to focus on, which I really appreciated. I let her know that my upper and lower back were my main problem areas, and she absolutely delivered. Although next time I may focus solely on back work, she still did an excellent job with the full body massage. The appointment started promptly on time, and she was very welcoming and accommodating, even allowing me to use the restroom before we began. I've gotten plenty of massages to know what an hour/90 minutes feels like and I wish I had noted the time because I'm fairly certain it was nowhere near 90 minutes. I even asked her if it was really 90 minutes and she insisted it was. The massage itself was more smashing with weight rather than an actual deep tissue. And some of the overly repeated movements went on a bit too long in very sensitive/nerve-cramped areas on my upper back/neck/shoulders. I didn't complain and had no problem handling it but I think it was just more roughness as a substitute for deep tissue. Not sure I'll be back again and I'm not trying to hurt the business in any way, shape, or form. Obviously from other reviews there are satisfied patrons but for me it'll be a one-&-done visit.
