I've been getting professional facials and body massages every two weeks for the past 20 years, so I know what a quality treatment should feel like. The first 20-30 minutes of my facial--cleansing and light therapy--were done by someone who seemed very inexperienced. The cleansing was one of the worst I've had. The way she handled my skin and used the light device made it clear she was not properly trained, and I quickly questioned the quality of the rest of the service. Normally, a facial is performed by one provider from start to finish. Here, the service was split, which felt disjointed and unusual. Joy came in for about 15 minutes to perform the Bamboo treatment. While that portion felt good, it was very brief. She then left, and the first provider returned to finish. Later, Joy asked about purchasing a package, but said she could only see 5-6 clients a day and couldn't perform full treatments. That made me question the value of a package. The music during the treatment was also very loud, which made it difficult to fully relax. Also the day after the massage, I ended up with severe neck pain that lasted for about a week and a half afterward. The massage itself wasn't particularly hard or painful, which made the neck pain afterward even more surprising. I usually see a regular skincare professional I'm very happy with, but I wanted to try something new. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend it. I still left a $20 tip to acknowledge the effort, but overall I felt it was a waste of time and I had to go thru unnecessary pain which truly concerned me.

Might just be that I got a newbie or something but she was incredibly bad at her job. She'd never dry my ears properly leaving water and suds sitting in there for the entire time even after the service was finished. While shampooing she'd massage my neck and shoulders while her hands were full of hair product and shampoo suds, WHY?!! Hair products are NOT meant to be used on skin and she kept massaging it in and not washing it off leaving the hair product and suds just SITTING on my neck and shoulders for the majority of the service. Additionally she got water into my eyes MULTIPLE times and didn't even notice, would put a SOPPING wet towel over my eyes then run water right over it making me feel like it was a water boarding punishment, failed to dry me off properly at the end making me sit up resulting in water dripping down my back and getting my clothes wet. Then she gave me cotton swabs for me to clean my ears and when I went to try to throw it away after using it, she roughly pulled it out of my fingers so fast that the dirty cotton swabs touched my fingers leaving my ear wax on my own finger. Cherry on top she then shooed me off the chair after 5 mins of blow drying before my hair was fully dry, didn't even brush my hair until she saw me finger combing it myself. The only reason I gave more than one star is that Maybe the other head spa staff is better but I will never come back because of how bad mine was. Poor attention to detail is an understatement.
