I've been going to Neptune's Lagoon in Anaheim for years now, and it's hands down my go-to spot when I want something private, relaxing, and consistently well run. AJ, the owner, is a cool dude...and his wife is great too. AJ is definitely a talker and very upfront with the rules, but they're simple and reasonable. As long as you listen, respect the space, and follow directions, your visit will go smoothly every time. Rinsing and washing off before and after is mandatory, which honestly just keeps the place clean and enjoyable for everyone. They're open daily Monday through Sunday, opening at 12pm and usually closing at 2am...sometimes later depending on the day and request. Walk-ins are welcome. Cash is preferred, but they do accept credit cards as well. The rooms are very intimate and relaxing. Some rooms include a sauna, and all rooms have a shower. The lighting is moody and adjustable from bright to dim. Radios with Bluetooth are available, blow dryers are provided, and they supply full body towels and washcloths. You're also allowed to drink and smoke inside the rooms. Cups and ashtrays are provided, and if you bring a drink that comes in a glass bottle, they give you a plastic container to pour it into since glassware isn't allowed in the rooms for safety reasons. It's a solid, well-maintained spot that's clearly been doing things right for a long time. I highly recommend Neptune's Lagoon and will forever book a visit here whenever I'm in the area. read more

I recently had a chance to visit this place. Took my boyfriend as a bday gift just to relax in the warm jacuzzi. You know how people say "don't judge a book by its cover " seriously don't. The guy wasn't rude as many comments say he just wants to make sure you know the basic rules & understand how certain products could ruin the water &' obvi don't bring glass inside or near a pool of water. We ended up enjoying this place together a neat place to have a relaxing moment with your partner.. you're able to listen to music , have a little drink as well they got a hot sauna I believe ? We didn't ended up using it cause we ended up just loving the warm water. I do recommend this place. My boyfriend & I agree we will surely visit this place again. also small tip bring youre body wash & shampoo you're going to need it after youre get out from the jacuzzi.! read more

Tbh, the place was diff from what I was expecting based on pictures on Yelp. Paid $120 for 2 people and total 3 hours. Brought fruit, drinks, and snacks. At first we were kinda skeptical bcuz the place looked... suspicious? However, the water/room was cleaner than expected, not sure if it was bcuz we were the first customer. AJ was nicer than some of the reviews had suggested, and he didn't give us a hard time. Wouldn't say the service is perfect or that it's meant for everyone. I went on a Saturday afternoon when they first opened the room wasn't quite ready so I booked for 2:30 which was fine. The guy I think his name is Victor. Really nice guy. He's very blunt and direct which some people could consider rude but very nice guy. Very chatty the place is older but the room was clean and decent. Victor will go over all of the the rules. Just make sure to follow them so that the water doesn't get messed up. Make sure to shower before entering the water and no lotions or oils. All in all the experience was good. I would go back. I will take water shoes next time just because the floors are tile and I can't stand to walk barefoot on wet tile You can take your own drink. Just not in glass. Neptunes lagoons is a hidden gem that if you around the area I definitely recommend that you check them out . To be honest from the outside and inside doesn't look like much but once you go inside their private rooms it's a different story ( in a good way!) The owner is very passionate about what he does and before coming he explains to you some rules which is pretty lengthy but makes sense ! A lot of work is put into making the hot tubs clean so it makes sense ! Prices are reasonable and they are very accommodating as well ! Overall check them ! read more

Take the one-star reviews seriously. I started by calling ahead to set an appointment. The person who picked up shouted hello over and over, never said the name of the place. I said hello back, and he went into a rant about how he said hello a bunch of times, and then started saying something I couldn't understand because of the poor quality of the VOIP. I figured it was some Boomer fouling up a long-established business and decided to stop by, on the theory that the desk staff would be able to solve my problem. He called me back while I was on my way! I still couldn't understand a word he said on the VOIP. Finally I got there, and there was some guy who looked very sad behind the counter. The person who had talked to me, now clearly the owner, elbowed him aside and then started on the rant again, talking about how he said something "five or six times." Finally I gave up and said I was leaving. He kept shouting after me! I told him that you can't talk to people like this, and he CHASED ME OUT OF THE BUILDING! We totally loved this place!! The outside isn't much, but once you're in the room it's like you're in a different world! We had an evening appointment and went right to our room. He wants you to be safe, not have extra expenses, and have a good time. -Offers free wine corking at no charge, sets up the room nicely, and makes sure you are taken care of. -Room has lots of space, even the smaller room, all amenities are there and easy to use. Weird & super creepy. Came here alone thinking a private sauna and hot tub would be a great experience but it's giving more "private sex rooms". I pushed through the creepiness and tried it out anyways. There's weird in-the-wall mirrors everywhere and what looked like "storage rooms" on the other side (I could be wrong and I hope I am). I pushed through the creepiness, had my alone time and once I was ready to check out he wouldn't let me leave. Kept talking and talking (at this point it's late at night) I basically ran out of the establishment and he literally chased after me and started knocking on my car window saying I had forgotten my ID but I had it with me. My boyfriend and I go here at least once or twice a month just to decompress form work and life. He calls same day and we typically are able to get in same night. Even though we have been here before, it's good to see that the instructions and rules are being said each time. It makes me feel comfortable that I'm going in clean water. You can smoke and drink there and it makes the experience 10x better. For us at least lol I do recommend this place as a decompressor. read more

After a crazy week of traveling and Thanksgiving prep decided to have a romantic getaway with my wife. This place hits the spot. AJ is super helpful at letting you know all that you need to know and bring to have an amazing time. The rooms were super clean and the water was crystal clear. He has a radio in the room with Bluetooth connectivity if you want to play music from your phone. I brought a speaker and played through it. We brought a wine bottle and AJ switched it into a plastic carafe and gave us plastic glasses. He even offered candles and lit them to make the mood and the room has a dimmer to dim the lights. Possibly one of the most romantic nights of my life and an excellent way to not only soak away the tiredness of the week but rekindle our love. 5 stars. We will be back. read more

But there are a lot of different people in the world and we can't really always understand each other completely. I went with my husband, had a good time relaxing. I'll start by saying if you're looking for a Korean spa experience or a high end fancy experience this is not for you. BUT if you are looking for a simple and clean private hot tub you've come to the right place. The owner cares deeply for his business and you can tell this by all of the information he provides to you when you call or walk in. It's a little rough around the edges but spending some time in a private hot tub was well worth it. If you are a first timer, it's walk in only. There's only three rooms so if there's no tub available at that time you can wait for one to open up or reserve for a later hour. You can bring alcohol and he'll provide a plastic carafe and cups for you to take in the room. No glass in the rooms! Hot tip: if you did your first visit and would definitely come back, buy a gift certificate. If you have a GC you can make a reservation by phone. My husband and I had a great time relaxing with some Steely Dan playing. The room is cool, water clean, and having the larger room with the sauna was clutch. Will definitely be back. read more

Hear me out: I think AJ may be the hardest working man in America! When me and my friend showed up to the place looking to enjoy their hot tub rooms, we hadn't called in advance. I misread some of the text on the site which I thought was saying to call in advance if it's late at night, and not in general. It's a great idea to call in advance. AJ immediately explained to us why we should've called in advance and, while his town may sound aggressive, you quickly come to learn he's a man who takes pride in his work and wants to protect everyone who comes into his business. Despite the fact that we didn't have a reservation, AJ told us to come back in an hour and fit us in. As we waited in the lobby, there was a couple there who told us all about how Neptune's Lagoons has the cleanest water, how AJ takes good care of the business, and creates a good experience. Don't let AJ's passion, clarity, and insistence scare you. We actually warned up to him very quickly and immediately gained so much respect for his care for the business and clients overall. He does everything from cleaning out the water to checking people in at the front desks, to managing staff, and more. Once we got in the room and closed the door, the experience was perfect, especially because of all of the advice AJ gave upfront. We were safe, we had a good chill time, and we left the room like we found it - and even left a tip at the end. I'd encourage people to: 1) call ahead in advance (not while in the parking lot, but hours or days in advance), 2) respect what AJ is saying and understand that it comes from a place of having to deal with the BS himself - he's seen some stuff and, like they say, the bad apples spoil the bunch. 3) pay attention - bring body wash and be ready to shower off, don't wear anything oily or greasy and be sure to get it off, go in naked or in a swimsuit but no normal clothes, you can ask to turn up the tub heat, you can smoke or vape with an ashtray provided by then, it's a two hour minimum, etc, 4) chill out and have a good time - nod your head and listen to the instructions, and enjoy it when you're in then room. AJ's also got a nice sense of humor and hopefully you can too. We left with a really memorable day, a story of meeting a really committed business owner (who actually gives a shit), and a place we would love to come back to next time we're in town, now that we know the ropes. Not only was the door locked around 1 pm although it was supposedly opened starting noon.
