I'm a younger millennial, which means that while I'm not that old yet, I do occasionally make noises when I sit down or get up. I'm not walking with a walker yet, but my body's become rather tense because of some physical hobbies I took up this year. So why not get a massage? Luckily, Gardens Wellness Spa has a "Sports Massage" which combines different types with massages with stretches for the arms, chest, and legs. It was nice that I was able to get an appointment so quickly when I went to the website. It took less than an hour from booking the appointment to being on the table. Parking was ample, and the front staff was pleasant and welcoming. I was escorted to a dim room and given instructions to prepare myself before the therapist comes in. My massage therapist came in, introduced herself, and got to business. By the end of the session, I felt slightly better. The stiffness and ache in my back was definitely still present. But I wasn't expecting a full recovery after a 60 minute sessions so I didn't mind. I appreciated that she really tried using pressure on the back by literally using her entire body weight, because most of the massage therapists I get are significantly lighter than me, so I don't really feel much when they try to get the knots out. That being said, it would be nice to have an option online for a male therapist as I could have used more pressure on my back. The portion where you can book with certain staff members are only labeled as 'Therapist' for all the options. I understand from a privacy-focused perspective why they'd do that, but I never know who I' getting when I book with them. Decent service, would come back again if needed. read more

More about pushing down pressure using their elbows, tools, and knees. I prefer massages directly on my knots and areas of focus. When I mention areas of focus, she roughly goes over that area but then will do a full body massage, which I didn't ask for when I wanted focus areas. They will sit on the table or climb onto the tables to push their fists into your body. Not the true therapeutic massage I look for, if these masseuse just push their fists into your body. read more

Last month, my boyfriend and I booked the couples massage and facial package. I was excited because it was my first head spa experience. ARRIVAL: There was plenty of lot parking. The entry and reception area was very clean, quiet, and relaxing. The woman who greeted us was very warm and welcoming. MASSAGE: The room lighting was dim and tranquil. My massage therapist did go over my spine a couple times (ouch) but overall it was relaxing. If I were to come back, I'd ask for lighter pressure. Boyfriend enjoyed his massage as well. FACIAL/HEAD SPA: The facial was the reason I gave two stars. The ladies who did our massages were not the same ladies who did our facials. My facialist was younger than the other ladies at the spa and was visibly apathetic from the get-go. She didn't once tell me what was being put on my face, so everything was a mystery at the time. It was only after the fact when I looked it up on their website. One product was jarringly cold when she smeared it on. One product felt like a physical scrub (like a St. Ives apricot scrub), which I normally avoid. Another product had a burning sensation. I tried to pass off as "minty" until my boyfriend said it irritated his face too. At one point, my facialist applied a product TO MY LIPS. When I recoiled, she just said "it's okay..." and continued applying it to the rest of my face while I laid there uncomfortably, lips slathered in an unknown product. When I asked my boyfriend, he said nothing ever got applied to his lips...so what the heck?? After the facial/head spa, she brought me over to the chair and stuck me under the hair dryer dome. I admittedly got jealous because my boyfriend's facialist asked him if he wanted his hair styled, so I assumed I would get the same option. Nope. When my person came back, she started blow drying my tangled hair (granted, I have long hair), tossing it over my face with little care. I got fed up after about 3 mins of blow drying and told her to stop. She put away the blow dryer and coarsely brushed my hair before leaving me to get dressed. When I combed my fingers through my hair, locks and locks came out. She didn't even bother brushing all the way through and getting rid of my loose hairs. At the end of the facial/head spa treatment, my hair felt frizzy, dry, and greasy and my face felt gross and oily. Small pros of head spa: The waterfall attachment was super relaxing. If you'd stuck me under there and omitted the shampooing/conditioning service, I would've been happy. My facialist did ask if the water temperature was comfortable, which I appreciated. They also laid a blanket over me when I said I was getting cold. PAYMENT: When tipping by credit card, there's no way to split the tips by service providers; everything is pooled, so my facialist got a cut of that tip. If we had known, we would've tipped in cash right after the service instead of tipping by credit card. My facialist was the one who took our payment at the end of everything, and my boyfriend mentioned that the first time he saw her smile was after we paid LOL SUMMARY: I'd possibly come back for massages, but would avoid the facial/head spa at all costs, specifically if it's with that younger woman. The prices are reasonable compared to other places. It's clean, professional , relaxing and rejuvenating. I've always gotten what I've asked for/ expected. I like getting the hot stone massage at low to medium pressure. You get a private room. As someone who has anxiety, it's nice to find a place I can rest my mind and feel my tension be lifted after the session. read more

Such a disappointing experience for prenatal massage. I came here because the reviews were good on Yelp, thinking I'd get an awesome prenatal massage and that I had found my go to spot during pregnancy. News flash. They are terrible at prenatal massages with no technique or pressure to their what felt like "rub" instead of massage. You pay $95 for absolutely no relaxation or relief for an hour. This was not the good experience we were hoping for. My boyfriend and I went for 2 separate treatments- him a 90 min deep tissue and me a deep tissue 60 min and facial. After meeting up afterwards, his massage was far from deep tissue. He said she was extremely pleasant and nice but just didn't do it as strong as he asked. Me - I specifically said I wanted to only focus on lower back, neck, arms and back but woman said she had to do legs to get full effect of massage- therefore there ended up being no arm massage and barely any neck massage. More standing on knees on my back and stretching for deep tissue. The facial. Literally no extractions or treatment of imperfections, which I have. Just felt like she globbed face products on my face while steam over my face. I had hoped for a good mask or something but it barely felt like 30 minutes let alone an hour. For no visible effect to my face whatsoever. I noticed it was the girl who arrived in the front with a sweatshirt on. So I don't even know if she's certified to do facials. Very disappointing and my back has literally been in absolute worse pain for 4 days since I left than before. Quite a small place located in a strip mall sort of. Small entryway with minima decor. Pleasant girl at desk though. Update as of 03/26/2026: I messaged with the owner of the spa a few times and she was extremely caring and even offered to re-do the services with different therapists to make up for my experience - but at this time I am not willing to go back due to pain and discomfort I'm having currently - so with that she refunded my services. We were then communicated to go to a room and I did not book a couple session and was under the impression that we would be in separate rooms but turns out it be our first experience doing a side by side massage as a couple room was set up for us Room was basic with dim lightning, quote on wall, mirror, skincare equipment, a chair and bin to hold clothes The massage overall we both enjoyed, check once if pressure was good and was encourage to communicate for pressure adjustment, best part was probably the hot stones and the movement and technique utilized. I did not have a lot of time but I really needed to detach after a day of tensions. The hostess set me up with a simple foot detox coupled with a half an hour foot massage and this did the trick. I actually concked out for for the last 15 minutes. They said it was ok so I snoozed in the room for another 15 minutes. They treat you like royalty from the second you walk in, to the moment you leave. Linh and Jenny usually assist at the front and are both incredibly warm and welcoming. Lilly is the owner I believe, and she is just so kind and you can tell she really cares about the business. She is always so friendly and takes pride in the quality of services they provide here. I've had massages from Tammy, Nancy, T, and others over the years and I've always been thrilled with how enjoyable and relaxing each massage was. They have so many options to customize the exact massage you want, and the masseuses do a wonderful job at asking for feedback to ensure that you're comfortable and that your specific needs are being met for each visit. Typically I look to address the neck and shoulders where there is a LOT of tension, which they happily address while making sure the pressure is just right. I've also had a few facials here more recently and they are the best! I always leave feeling like I'm glowing with my skin feeling so nourished and refreshed. My friend took me here for my birthday to experience my first facial. I did not enjoy it and am hesitant to do another facial in the future if all facials are like this. My facialist never introduced herself to me so I unfortunately cannot provide a name. She was rough from the start. Abruptly moving my head left and right. At one point she applied something to my face and I felt a burning sensation that was lingering. I wasn't sure if that was normal, so I asked her. She was immediately on defense mode that I asked that and went on a tangent about how she's never had a client that had this happen to them before. I just wanted to know if it was normal or not. I didn't want this being a whole ordeal. After that, she would ask me if I still feel it every few minutes and if I didn't answer quickly enough, she would double poke my cheekbone with some pressure. Just a very well managed establishment. Every aspect of running their business is very comfortable and seamless. Hard to do any better. The receptionist staff is always at their best. I have been a client off and on for two years and have a special appreciation for the hard work required to be a massage therapist. I have a medical condition that is helped greatly with massage therapy. Each treatment I receive from Kim improves my flexibility range of motion and overall feeling of comfort and relaxation. Wow! It's my first time ever having a head/hair treatment done and I'm so glad I found this spa. From the receptionist, Lily to the treatment lady Thalia, everyone was so sweet and welcoming. As a first time mom, I didn't know how much I needed this till I had this service done. As first-timers for this type of experience, I can confidently say it's a solid 5/5. I can't speak for my wife's specific service, but she got the Bliss Spa Package and absolutely loved how great her head felt afterward. I went all in and got the Scalp Therapy Treatment since I've never known what type of scalp I have. My technician, Jenny, immediately told me it was oily and sensitive. This information alone is so valuable, as it will help me buy better shampoos and take care of my scalp more effectively. I highly recommend Jenny for anyone who is a first-timer. She was a 5/5 from start to finish, with perfect pressure and water temperature, and she was very communicative about the entire process. I appreciated that she explained what she was doing next. Keep in mind, they are still fairly new to this specific service, so there are still some things they are working out, but with the promo they are running this month for past customers, it's a fantastic time to give it a try. The best part is that this isn't like other dingy, dark head spa places. It genuinely feels like an upscale massage parlor. You get your own private room (or a couple's room if you come with a partner), and the music is incredibly soothing. While I'm not sure if the price is more or less than other places, even the basic package includes a mini facial that other places don't, which feels like a great little bonus. I booked an acne facial since I struggle with that. Deanna was my esthetician. She was very knowledgeable about skin care and gave me lots of tips. I learned that I should do circular motions when cleansing my skin, wash twice after wearing makeup, and that you don't always need anti-aging products. She was very informative. My face felt so clean when I left. I'm hoping I don't have any breakouts in response to the moisturizers. Often times, my face will breakout after a facial because of all the products. Which is why I don't go as often as I should. I worry my face will have a reaction. So far, so good. My facial was yesterday, and today I only have a couple new blemishes. If you're sensitive to pain during extractions, definitely ask for Nancy. She's super gentle, takes her time with every clogged pore, and makes the whole process feel way less intimidating. My best results showed up about three days after the facial. I didn't change my diet, skincare routine, or daily schedule at all. Yet the inflammation went down, the redness faded, and the breakout calmed dramatically. Overall, the experience felt a bit underwhelming for the price and package. We arrived slightly early and were taken to our room, but waited there for about 10 minutes. It would have been nice to have a more welcoming start--something small like tea or champagne would have made the experience feel more hospitable. My massage was enjoyable, as I requested light pressure. However, my boyfriend's experience was quite different. He requested medium pressure, but the massage felt overly intense, with significant stretching and back bending that we did not ask for. It seemed more aggressive than expected, and it made the experience less relaxing for both of us. The head spa portion was excellent, no complaints there. That was definitely the highlight of the visit. Toward the end, we also felt a bit rushed as the session wrapped up, which took away from the overall experience. This wasn't an issue; I was really appreciative that someone reached out in a sufficient amount of time to notify of this. I must say this place is that "hidden gem". It's a nice area; parking is ample, and traffic is minimal (I recommend going on a Sunday). I walk in and was immediately greeted, and they were ready. Ladies at the front were super friendly (Mia assisted me). The room was dim, and music was relaxing. My service was a 60-minute-deep tissue massage. My masseuse (Nancy) was AMAZING! During the massage, I was appreciative that she checked in on me (not too often but at the right moments) to make sure I was ok.
