I came here once for a foot massage and 100% loved it, so we decided to come back and try a full-body massage this time. The price is great, and everyone was very nice and welcoming. That said, the full-body massage was definitely much more intense than I expected. I typically prefer a slower massage with long, sustained pressure, while this felt more like a deep, powerful massage with a lot of rolling and kneading. I actually came home feeling more sore and in more pain than when I arrived. If you like a strong, deep-pressure massage, this place may be perfect for you! If you prefer a slower, gentler style like I do, I'd recommend communicating that very clearly beforehand. This is located in the back corner of a strip mall. Darkly lit as you enter (I almost thought they were closed). Nice greeting. I stopped by to just look at their offerings and prices. They offered a 30 minute foot massage for $25 cash. They take appointments or walk-ins. They weren't busy when I went at 5:15 but there were a few others by the time I left. It practices Chinese style so it can feel a little rough - but I feel like that is expected. It's not a pressure I would like for my back or neck but it was fine for my feet. There are individual half beds to lay on and rooms with curtains for full massages. It started with soaking my feet in warm water then drying them off. I had a pillow behind by back and under my head with a small towel over my eyes. The massage consisted of deep strokes and thumb rubbing into each foot. My legs were also massaged. They used an oil that was wiped off with a warm towel at the end of the massage. The masseuse also stretched and rubbed my hips too. Overall, they did a nice job. I called a day before to schedule a foot massage for 1 hour for 2 people for a specific date/time and gave my name. The gentleman I spoke with said confirmed and told us the price of $35/person for 1-hour foot only massage, which is not an issue. The next day when we arrive, they are closed, with a sign that says "we are currently renovating. open next week." First time ever receiving any massage service and Koi Foot Massage delivered in making me feel extremely relaxed. There's up to 3 time limits and 3 categories for what type of massage you want to receive. You then select level of intensity and I chose level 2. We did the 45-minute session and chose some combination of shoulders and feet. Our feet were dipped in warm water and a towel covered the body. The level of intensity was slightly a bit more than expected, but I felt like it really got some knots out. Our massagers were male and they did an excellent job from start to finish. Cons: be prepared to get pretty close and personal, which can be jarring if you aren't prepared. I've been to many Chinese style massage places and they have similar technique, and yes, sometimes they mount you to get a better angle or press their thumbs into your "thut" (where they thigh meets the butt) to get into those knots. All these happened as expected during today's session. This particular male masseur seemed to lift up the sheet a bit higher than usual protocol and there were some wedgie inducing moments as he adjusted my panties for closer connection. Also, there was a surprise moment of getting a wee bit too close to the bikini line during hip flexor portion of the massage. It left me feeling a bit tense as to what other peek a boos he might do. The actual foot massage at the end (which I was looking forward to the most) was much lighter pressure than expected , given how intense he was out the gate. It wasn't a mediocre massage and I tipped over 30% for the effort and since it was a sparse client day. This time when I got to koi later in the evening, Jimmy the manager was on a trip as was coco the foot massage lady. I was greeted by Nancy, Jimmy's sister who was filling in for him. A very nice lady. She explained that my regular foot massage lady was off that night by she would have YoYo do my foot massage. I'm not prone to change, but decided I'd go with Nancy's recommendation I'm glad I did Yoyo was a very talented foot massage who took real care to work out all of the knots and cramps on my feet and legs. Just the right amount of pressure and not hurrying or rushing. I quess the leasing I learned is that there are many talented and caring foot massage ladies at koi. Alrighty my first time to a reflexology massage so not sure what to expect; however, my adult kids have gone to many and said they enjoy them if we find a good one. Looking at Yelp and ratings, this one seemed to be the one. I called and spoke with Jimmy asking to book four massages, two males and two females. He was very kind and could accommodate us. Now I asked for females not realizing this type of massage does not require clothes off with oil. You keep your clothes on but next time I would not wear any type of jewelry and I'd have my hair only in a ponytail that way I can take it down since they massage your scalp...heavenly. Andy was my masseuse and he was awesome! His pressure was great, very quiet and kind. I am very particular about noise when I'm having a massage and for the most part it was fairly quiet even having all the beds in a row and rooms that don't have complete privacy because walls don't go all the way up to the ceiling. I did hear people dumping water from the buckets, my daughters masseuse breathing heavily and right when I'd drift off, he'd cough or clear his throat. Even though clothes are kept on, they do pull down your shirt (bra straps too) on the shoulder area and give a good neck & shoulder massage which was excellent. They use a cream to help with the massage which doesn't leave you oily. The entire time your feet hang into a warm bowl of water while you lay on your back in a very comfortable bed supported by pillows. It's very relaxing. After the head, face, neck and shoulders are finished, he then worked on my arms and hands. After that my legs and feet, the most exceptional massage which was needed after walking around Disneyland two days in a row. I thought I was finished but he had me roll over and kneaded and pushed on my back, shoulders, buttocks and legs. It was sometimes hurtful but much needed! Oh my gosh, all for $36 (I believe I recall that being the price). Truly a great experience and I will for sure be back. The place is in an older strip mall, with ample parking, it does like it's closed, but it wasn't. For the most part everything looked clean although it is on the dark side for relaxing purposes. Nice relaxing music is played the entire time. Seems like there were lots of staff so I assume they get busy. Although I do like a good oil massage skin-to-skin, this is definitely a fill-in between the more expensive massages. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. read more

The salon is very clean and quiet with lots of space so everyone is spaced apart for social distancing which is a big PLUS especially In California. The appointments are also limited so no crowds. There are several types of massage to chose from with several different time limits. We opted for the 45 minute deep foot massage and it was very enjoyable. I have been coming to this place several times and was recommended by a friend. The name says foot massage but they do entire body massages, not just foot. I had 60 minutes massages 2 times or 2 visits but this morning I chose 80 minutes for $60. My shoulders and body were so tight from doing strength training exercises. I signed in and chose a level of pressure which I chose 4. I love brutal massages...he he he.... and can do 5. Then I was taken to a room. I left my pants on but chose to have my sport bra on. The therapist is a man. My body was covered with a sheet and he did deep pressures first, all over, and over the sheet. It was so good. Then he asked politely for me to take off my bra. I think because he wanted to use oil. So I yanked off my bra without turning over(I can do that facing down he he he). He did use oil and worked on the kinks of my shoulders, shoulder blades, neck, lower back and upper back. It was so very good. Omg, it was the best massage ever! Apparently, I really needed it and had a lot of knots all over. Then he went to get hot stones and use them to rub all over my back with pressures. That was very very good! Then he used hot towels to rub off the oil and put more pressure massage with the towels. It was excellent! When it was time for me to turn over, he told me to do so and walked out of the room, so polite! The rest of the massage was on head, neck, shoulders, legs and arms with a sheet over me. This place was AMAZING. I walked in & the atmosphere was very clean, dim lighted and relaxing. The person in front that greeted me was very nice. I signed in and I was able to select the 60 minute combination massage, and the level of pressure I wanted before even going inside (which is a very cool concept.) He then brought me in to my private room right away. Andy my massage therapist really knew what he was doing, his pressure was perfect. To my surprise it also included hot stones which was I loved!! It was soo relaxing. He kept checking in to make sure I was okay. After my massage the front desk provided me with water, and I left feeling relaxed, zen, and wanting to go straight to sleep. Place is clean, massage therapists here can easily go head to head with other massage therapists from more expensive massage establishments...and they don't try to hard sell you on massage packages as you're leaving. Cons: rooms are separated by curtains so you can hear everything in the next room, but it wasn't too bad. Most therapists speak limited English. Not a big deal. I was strolling around the area while my husband was doing jiujitsu and found this new foot massage place! What I enjoyed about this place was how welcoming the place looked and also how clean its interior was. It didn't have the smell some of the darker, older foot massage places have. I also like how they have the prices upfront. 30 min $25, 45 min $35, and 60 min $45. You can select between foot massage, back massage or combo. You stay clothed but they are still able to get your knots. You also select the pressure you want on the sign in sheet. It's a newer concept I haven't seen at other foot massages, but I like it! I often feel like some foot massage places don't apply enough pressure for my body type. I know most of their clients enjoy it, but by being about to let them know I wanted a deeper massage when I walked in- it allowed me to just enjoy my massage. I would definitely come back again.
