That said, the full-body massage was definitely much more intense than I expected. I typically prefer a slower massage with long, sustained pressure, while this felt more like a deep, powerful massage with a lot of rolling and kneading. I actually came home feeling more sore and in more pain than when I arrived. If you like a strong, deep-pressure massage, this place may be perfect for you! If you prefer a slower, gentler style like I do, I'd recommend communicating that very clearly beforehand. Overall, great prices and very friendly people--I just learned that the massage style here is a little more intense than my personal preference.

I believe they'll also massage your stomach but I specifically asked them not to due to a recent abdominal surgery. Things to know: - they only accept cash! - recommend calling in for an appointment, this place gets busy - the front desk gal was super sweet - most of the venue is a shared space but they have curtains in certain areas and private rooms upon request (my mom and I were in a shared space section closed off by a curtain so it felt private) - staff is super friendly and provide firm massages - shared parking lot next to Claro's Italian market - prices are reasonable, they have a water dispenser in the check in area for post massage hydration 10/10 recommend. If you're someone who gets easily distracted, I can see how it might be harder to fully get into that relaxing zen if someone starts chatting or snoring (). This actually happened during my last visit, and it took everything in me not to start laughing. The few times I've been here, the massage therapists have been pretty considerate and always check in to make sure the pressure is comfortable. During my last visit, I felt like some areas were a little rough, but I always recommend advocating for yourself and letting them know if you need them to adjust the pressure. My only real issue with this last visit was that my 90-minute massage ended about 5 minutes early, which was a bummer. My friend, who went with me and booked the same massage, also finished before I did, so it was a little confusing and something I didn't particularly appreciate. That aside, the prices are affordable, and overall, they get the job done. If you're looking for a reasonably priced massage and don't mind the more casual/open setup, I'd say it's worth giving them a try.

When I arrived, Tina was my massage therapist, and she did a fabulous job. I have severe lower back and neck pain from old injuries, so I requested medium pressure. Tina was spot on--I would describe the pressure as medium to strong, exactly what I needed. She also discovered a significant amount of tension at the base of my skull and applied firm pressure to both sides. That was an area I had never really considered, but it turned out to be a major source of radiating pain and headaches for me. Tina's technique was excellent, and her tempo and attention to pressure were just right. The facility was clean, peaceful, and quiet, with soft, soothing music playing in the background. I had a great experience and would highly recommend Garden Wellness Massage, especially if you're looking for a skilled therapist who really pays attention to where your body is holding tension.

I'm not walking with a walker yet, but my body's become rather tense because of some physical hobbies I took up this year. So why not get a massage? Luckily, Gardens Wellness Spa has a "Sports Massage" which combines different types with massages with stretches for the arms, chest, and legs. It was nice that I was able to get an appointment so quickly when I went to the website. It took less than an hour from booking the appointment to being on the table. Parking was ample, and the front staff was pleasant and welcoming. I was escorted to a dim room and given instructions to prepare myself before the therapist comes in. My massage therapist came in, introduced herself, and got to business. By the end of the session, I felt slightly better. The stiffness and ache in my back was definitely still present. But I wasn't expecting a full recovery after a 60 minute sessions so I didn't mind. I appreciated that she really tried using pressure on the back by literally using her entire body weight, because most of the massage therapists I get are significantly lighter than me, so I don't really feel much when they try to get the knots out. That being said, it would be nice to have an option online for a male therapist as I could have used more pressure on my back. The portion where you can book with certain staff members are only labeled as 'Therapist' for all the options. I understand from a privacy-focused perspective why they'd do that, but I never know who I' getting when I book with them. Decent service, would come back again if needed.
