Once the massage started with Cleo, it felt rushed and wasn't the relaxing experience I'd had during my previous visits. I'm not aware of massage therapist techniques, but I felt like something wasn't right during the upper body portion of the massage. My positioning wasn't corrected until halfway through the shoulder and neck work, which left me feeling uneasy. It was also fairly loud because of the restaurant next door. I understand that's outside the business's control, but if you're able to choose your room, I'd recommend requesting one that's not along the exterior wall facing the restaurant. Unfortunately, the biggest issue came afterward. Since that massage, I've experienced ongoing neck pain and nerve pain. As of August 1, I still can't fully turn my neck left or right and have had to begin physical therapy and chiropractic treatment. I understand that there are inherent risks with massage therapy and that every person's body responds differently, so I'm not suggesting this was intentional or that there are never risks involved. However, I do think it's important for the business to be mindful of therapist technique, proper client positioning, and overall client safety. I genuinely wanted to continue supporting this business because my first two visits were great, which makes this experience even more disappointing. From there, I was taken to a cozy, quiet and cool shared space where the had me lay back on a reclined bed / seat. The combo focused on my arms, shoulders, neck, head, forehead, legs and feet. I believe they'll also massage your stomach but I specifically asked them not to due to a recent abdominal surgery. Things to know: - they only accept cash! - recommend calling in for an appointment, this place gets busy - the front desk gal was super sweet - most of the venue is a shared space but they have curtains in certain areas and private rooms upon request (my mom and I were in a shared space section closed off by a curtain so it felt private) - staff is super friendly and provide firm massages - shared parking lot next to Claro's Italian market - prices are reasonable, they have a water dispenser in the check in area for post massage hydration 10/10 recommend. When I asked if the masseuse can add more pressure she got upset and she started to whisper things. I paid for deep tissue and wasn't getting what I wanted but I wasn't happy she was upset. Today I went and got a deep tissue which it wasn't because I fell asleep during my session of "deep tissue" and when I left a tip the masseuse wasn't happy with it and said she always gets $20 or more because deep tissue is hard on her hands. She then took my card and charged me $15 because of the surcharge for using a card. It is sad to see a place I've been going to years go down like this. I will not be going back again.

This is for those that definitely want deep tissue work. Different staff have some variations in their style but in general they do mostly the same massage. Just let them know if you want more in any particular area. They offer foot massages too. They have a small fee for credit cards but cash is best. The one negative is that.. as others have mentioned some staff will pressure you for more tip if they feel you didn't offer enough. Make your own judgement and tip appropriately but keep in mind to give feedback during your treatment session.
