Today, one of the pharmacists called me on the phone to verify about the two Meningitis vaccines I plan on taking. I told him that due to some scheduling conflicts, I had no choice but to reschedule the appointment at around 6 pm, but the pharmacist told me that I can come in at any time today to get the vaccine. I thanked him for the reassurance and I went here to get Meningitis ACWY and B versions. I wanted to take these two vaccines again because of the recent Meningitis B outbreak in England, and I didn't want to get Meningitis from someone who was recently in the UK. I don't want to sound rude or insensitive in any way, but I would rather be vaccinated than getting Meningitis. The pharmacist Jason was really gentle with me and he was really good at talking to me and calming me down. He didn't take too long to prepare the vaccines. I also told him about my COVID vaccine nightmare that happened to me over the weekend. I was bedridden and nauseous AF. I threw up several times at home. Jason asked me if the illness went away the next day and I told him that I fully recovered. He was really glad. I also told Jason that I read that people with a history of headache disorders are more likely to get the rare side-effects of the COVID vaccine. He told me that's likely possible. I told him that when I was 18, I was sexually exploited and the trauma of it has caused me to develop tension headaches. He told me that he was really sorry to hear what happened to me. He pinched my shoulder and then shook it to lessen the pain from the vaccines. It was worth it. He also used a single band-aid and put it vertically. read more

All of the employees I've met here are nice, but I've experienced too much in the past week to keep getting my prescriptions filled here. A couple of days ago, I picked up a script that the tech insisted was a narcotic... it was definitely not. Very concerning that a pharmacy technician doesn't know their drug classes. And today, I saw a tech pour a bottle of pills directly into her bare hands--not a glove in sight. Clearly there are employees here that don't know anything about the drugs they are handling; that's not who I want to fill my medications or advise me if I have questions. read more

I have to say I've been coming here for the past 20 years the employee pharmacy. They are so nice and so helpful. The drive-through alway busy but they alway move pretty quick. And the reason why I don't go inside when I stand too long my back hurt. But the reason why I'm writing this today I have to say they are so helpful. I put in description no word so then I had to call in and explained to them what I need a refill is kind of emergency inhaler. They get it done less than 30 minutes. I get that lines for pharmacies are usually slow. My meds were already ordered. I just needed to pick them up. And waited in line for at least 20 minutes. Overall, got my meds. Decent CVS that is conveniently located to CHOC and St. Joseph's hospitals, right across the street. This is a very busy location - both in-store, and the drive-thru pharmacy. Gotta give the staff some slack for how well they are able to keep things running, despite the foot traffic from being near two major hospitals. Prices are fair - use the CVS app for additional savings. There's a bit of everything here, including souvenirs for Disneyland at a much cheaper price than at the park itself. Parking can be a tad messy - I like to park the row farther away from the store fronting Main Street - easier to get in and back out. Plaza itself has a Taco Bell, Carl's Jr., a poke bowl place, and a pho spot. read more

This pharmacy has been AMAZING. We've been here at least five different times, literally walking out of CHOC's hospital or CHOC's urgent care and getting taken care of within minutes. We've used the drive thru for all of our visits, and we're especially grateful for how responsive they are and how fast they fill prescriptions when our kids need it most. Last night, after my son's urgent care visit, I stopped by CVS and had his prescriptions filled instantly. Then he was referred to CHOC hospital because urgent care was close to closing and their X-ray tech had already left for the day. We went to the hospital, got the X-ray, confirmed bacterial pneumonia, and of course he needed antibiotics. I went back to CVS again, they filled it right away, and we headed home feeling extremely grateful. If you're in the area and need a pharmacy that's open 24/7 with a team that works fast and keeps the line moving, this is the one you can count on. Thank you CVS! read more

This pharmacy hired seriously incompetent morons for the pharmacy - waited 30 mins to pickup my prescription and when I finally got to the front I was told that my persecution had been put back - they had texted me the DAY before that it was ready! Was told they had no idea why it had happened and was told usually people have 13 days to pickup. But because of the idiots working here they just put shit back without warning. read more

This pharmacy is inefficient and staffing contributes to the negative customer experience by lacking soft skills to handle situations. Loc Luu, the pharmacy manager, and Jim N, the pharmacist, are wholly incompetent. The issue arise when an order for medication was put in but not the equipment to administer it. The pharmacy just pushed me from one person to another, from the register to the pharmacist, just to wait longer to re-do the order. Loc Luu doesn't know how to listen to customers and go to response is to say you just have to wait. Also, he purposely mislead the situation and lied about the register staff putting in orders. I was originally told only pharmacist were able to put in the order, not the register staff and the doctor may have put in multiple orders. My medication order was renewed by the register staff and the equipment could have been ordered at the same time. How he acted was unprofessional and just made the experience worse. Additionally, the Jim N (pharmacist) petulant behavior and snarky remarks gives the impression that he is just there to collect a paycheck and is a glorified pill-pusher. He gave me the weakest explanation of the medication and equipment. Overall, the staff like to push people off to others and doesn't truly care about clinical care. This is truly concerning as it's the closest corporate pharmacy near the major health systems in Orange. Walking distance from Choc, Uci health, St. Providence, and Radys. It's truly sad to see how they operate knowing the vulnerable situations customers may be in when they walk in through their doors. They are jeopardizing the health outcomes of all their customers by delaying their care in receiving their medication and treating people as another number. They are directly contributing to why people hate going to the pharmacy by not conducting themselves professionally and hiding behind a broken system. read more

I'm honestly really frustrated with my experience at this CVS location. There weren't even many people in line, yet I was told to go use self-checkout instead of being helped at the register. The employee said she would assist me at self-checkout, but immediately walked away. Of course the machine had an issue, and I had to call her back over while three employees were standing behind the counter. WTF? If customers want to use self-checkout, that's fine but some of us come to the store expecting actual service and don't want to ring up our own items. On top of that, the attitude I received when I needed help was unnecessary and frustrating. If you would have actually done YOUR JOB, I wouldn't have had trouble in the first place. I understand stores are trying to encourage self-checkout, but customers should still have the option to be helped at the register without feeling pushed to self check and then made ring up all my items myself?????? WTF I hope management considers balancing convenience with customer service. read more

5 stars goes to Evelyn. I was picking up an online order and making a separate purchase as well. Since I had the pick up order, I ditched the self checkout option. While waiting in line I could see customers getting impatient, it was busy and only one cashier available (short staffed for sure). I let Evelyn know I was picking up an order. Despite how busy it was, she was friendly and helpful. There was an issue w/ my pick up so she radio'd for help. While that was sorted, she helped another customer on the self checkout. The good: I came and got Tylenol here for my kid's fever. It was affordable and the medicines were nicely arranged on the shelf. They had a cute Easter section with super high quality and cute looking stuffed bunnies. This is a 24/7 pharmacy with a drive-thru. As a pharmacist, I know these are the highest stress locations especially because this one is across from a hospital. Plus, I've worked at CVS before and oh, man, was it a tough gig. Props to the healthcare workers at CVS. Please, be patient and kind to them so they can safely provide you care. The bad: There were some dodgy people hanging out outside. One guy asked if a blonde lady had left the building yet and it seemed sketchy. I also saw clothes on the ground outside. My daughter was playing with one of the bunnies and accidentally took it out of the store without me knowing so I had to run back in to return it. The interesting: Generic cherry Tylenol was cheaper than grape. I guess folks don't love cherry. read more

located across from my work/dr.'s office, this place WAS convenient for me to pick up my rx. I refuse to come back here after last night's interaction. They up-charged a rx I always get at a discounted price. When I asked why the price doubled, the tech couldn't give me a straight answer. I even showed him my receipt, purchasing the same med at the same location a month ago! The tech asked another tech for help and he said discounts are only good for one fill, cuz it's a controlled med. Tfffff?! Aaaaaand, the same pharmacist who granted my discount last month was standing right there and didn't bother to help! Grrrrr, I cancelled the transaction and walked out cuz that was some dumb chit. I messaged them through their app to transfer my rx to the CVS by my house. I went there tonight and picked up ALL my meds, not just that one particular rx that was e-scribed by my PCP to the Orange location. I presented the discount coupon to the pharmacist, he entered it, and told me that it's good for ALL FUTURE refills! So why tf couldn't the Orange location do it? DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS HERE! I bought 2 amazon gift cards here last week. Both for $100. I'm very aware of the scams and made sure to check the safety stickers were still on. They were and showed no signs of tampering. I thought they were safe. The 2 people I gave them to said once they took the sticker off, the code was scratched off and they weren't able to use them. This location is conveniently located, has a nice pharmacy drive-thru, and a fairly friendly staff. Right down the street from CHOC and St Joseph Hospital, this is a great location. I like that there's usually plenty of parking. It's a large store with a good selection of almost everything. Lines can be really long here. I feel bad for the staff, especially those working in the pharmacy, because customers can be a bit aggressive. Waits can be long over the phone to get a pharmacist as well. Pharmacy staff does try to give a discount when they can. Prices can get expensive for any specialized prescriptions, but they do offer different options for refilling them as well. I really love the pharmacy staff at this CVS on Main Street. They're always polite, professional, well-spoken, and understanding. They take the time to listen to my concerns and explain best options. Even when I can't get my prescription filled (due to high demand), I still leave the store feeling reassured that the staff are doing their best to obtain it. I've also noticed that this CVS in particular seems to have a phalanx of staff working behind the counter which may explain why it's the best, most well-run pharmacy I've ever had the pleasure of working with. If my doctors weren't in another county, I'd definitely switch all my medication needs to this one. read more

I had a pretty bad experience. I had gone. To urgent care and explained to the Dr that a enema suppository did not go well with my daughter. If she can prescribe pill suppository. Called and the Pharmacist Vin simply was not helpful and would not help me find a pharmacy that would have the Rx I needed. After a lady 5 days before had told me my Rx would be ready. Vin says no pharmacy has my Rx within a 20 mile radius. He puts me on hold and then hangs up on me. When I call back I find out Vin left work. I speak to Ha and he has no shame and straight out says he cannot help, he cannot call and he will not help check with ANY pharmacy either. I simply do not understand the lack of communication with their customers if a Rx is not available and the worst part is not even an attempt to help find a pharmacy that would have it. I then decide to call a pharmacy 20 miles away from me and guess what, the helpful person at another pharmacy gives me information on 2 pharmacies that do have my Rx on hand, one is 12 miles away the other is 17 miles away. Why couldn't Vin or Ha, help their own customers with this? The disrespect and lack of humanity is beyond words. read more

Best one stop shop for medications or birthday cards. The selection of cards is great and I usually pick up some cards for family or coworkers. I got sick recently , so it's nice to know exactly where all the medications are without going through huge aisles in big box stores. read more

The Pharmacy crew are so kind. Each one, came out to assist me in finding a medicine for my toddler...that we just couldn't find. Even the front clerk, a young guy, offered an alternative suggestion, which was so thoughtful. And not to mention they filled my sons prescription in the 10 mins it took us to leave CHOC and get there. I'm very grateful for their support and service.
