The pharmacist had no idea about the nationwide initiative that CVS is leading that gives pharmacists authority to prescribe Paxovid to COVID positive patients. Had a prescription that needed pre authorization. Got it and called to make sure it went through. They quoted me the price and gave me an hour timeframe for it to be ready. I waited 3 hours and 15 minutes. When I got there they told me it was on hold for pre authorization. WTF!!! I told them it already was and they had given me a price on the phone. Came in this morning to purchase items and was satisfied until before exiting I noticed there was stands of bracelets I have in the past have found and liked this particular brand so of course I stop and look unfortunately this is where my experience here went completely embarrassing and humiliating. MARY initially helped me with my purchase so I was taken back by the comment she made to me as I started to exit and says if I was going to purchase the bracelets I had putten in my bag or just leave with them.wowwwwwwww this women is disrespectful and unprofessional and I'm surprised a place of business would have her employed with that attitude and to make a comment to a customer she had just helped 5 minutes before . If I could give this pharmacy negative stars I would. Their pharmacy staff is crap. They refuse to help and dispense my sister's medication who is dependent on it because she has seizures. Every few months it's the same crap from them that the insurance didn't approve it or the doctor. Yet the insurance and the doctor can prove it's not them. This CVS has treated my mother sister and I like crap giving us the damn run around and trying to give us the generic version when the insurance approved solely the name brand and only wants the name brand medication. read more

I shop at this cvs ALL the time. On 03/18 I went to purchase some tide and downy, I got a $10 coupon after the purchase and decided to get my shampoo since I was already there. The tag on the shampoo said buy one get one 40% so I grabbed 4. I used the self checkout for my tide purchase and was using the self checkout for my shampoo but the promotion was not going thru so I decided to leave them. I walked out and seconds later an employee named karla comes running out asking if I paid for the tide and if I had my receipt and if I didn't have it if I didnt mind going back inside with her. I was so embarrassed as other customers were just staring. I didn't have to provide my receipt as I know I had paid for the items but I pulled out my receipt and showed her. I was going to get my medication filled here but the service was completely unacceptable. The ladies at the counter were so rude to a lady. From what what i could here they told her she could fill her medication then the pharmacist said no. They argued with the customer and very very rude. I felt so bad for the customer and couldnt believe what i was witnessing. The lady at the counter was so rude and made horrible comments that you arent supposed to make. This place is open 24/7 and if she is going to be working with customers she should handle them a lot better. I've been coming here for a few years now and I know they don't let just anyone in the "public" restroom, because someone made a mess once. I am now 6 months pregnant, went to ask for the key because well pregnancy works wonders on the bladeer. So this new guy tell sme that they just don'tvhave a key. So no one cares if you're pregnant, or sick or whatever, they just don't want to clean. This is horrible and I'm never going back there. Actually I will fo, just because I did not get the guy's name. Prescription price came up over $100. Luckily the pharmacist was very patient and helped find a good discount. Dr Tuong checked the goodrx and other sites but those were still somewhat high. He then checked Medicare and it brought it down to around $10. Service was quick also. read more

This place is busy! CVS is about a block away from the nearby hospitals. I wanted to pick up a card and flowers for my friends who just had a baby. CVS saved the day by having both available. They have a fridge with floral arrangements as well as potted plants on a nearby table. Glad I was able to pick up both items at the same time. read more

Pharmacist Christine needs to be retrained as well as her staff. I went to drop off my prescription through the drop off window and was informed it would be ready within 45minutes, I received a text message stating the prescription was ready. When I checked in with the tech at the register is when I was informed that I required my ID in order to have my medication released. Why was I not told at the drop off window? I don't always carry ID on hand. I had just been released from the ER after an 8hour visit and then being told that I am going through a miscarriage...the last thing I wanted to do was drive home quickly and head back. But I wasn't treated with that little bit of respect when she called me and had the audacity to tell me to come back to pick up the prescription because she no longer would fill it. That's okay bitch, there are plenty of pharmacies and pharmacists, you are replaceable. Never ever will I step into a cvs again, that is why Walgreens exists. I come here sometimes because it's close to my work and the few times ive been there i felt like i was being followed a lot. Just came from there and basically if you're brown, expect to get followed. I dont usually like to assume someone is profiling me because of my skin color, but this time is the exception...i was just at the store and intentionally walked down random aisles to see if i would be followed. They didnt even try to hide that they were following me. Also when i went to the clerk i gave her a 20 and the things i bought was only 6 bucks. And she asked me if I wanted my change back...? Im like uuh yes please.. and i asked her how much it was and that i was confused because she asked me if i wanted my 13 bucks back , she just gave me a dorty look. The manager then came over to me, ask me to open my bag with no reasoning and then harassed me out of the store. It's nice to have a 24-hour pharmacy, but the drawback is the ridiculously long lines and even longer wait times to have your prescription filled (or not filled in my case, after a 2-hour wait). I recommend going to the Target pharmacy and saving a few bucks in the process. read more

They told me I needed to physically come down to purchase it because they need to see my ID. I showed my ID and the pharmacist still wouldn't accommodate. Makes zero sense! I have been coming to this CVS for many years now and all I can say that it has always been reliable and pharmacy staff has always been courteous and helpful. The location is conveniently located in between hospitals and near other clinics. It is know wonder that it's always busy but at the same time they accommodate as much they can. I'm a very understanding person, and I completely understand when there is longer waiting times because the pharmacy staff cannot control the influx of traffic they get as well as the inpatient/rude customers that they get, especially now during a pandemic. The staff is doing a million things at once, I understand this isn't a fast food drive through so of course they just can't pump out medication like how Burger King pumps out whoppers, the staff Gives you a consult on the medication you're taking and of course that takes time, so they make sure the customer understands the medication. Burger King doesn't say hey " you the the burger, you take a sip of your drink and swallow". Overall this location has always been helpful and reliable. Even though many say the staff isn't, people need to understand that there's a pandemic, they're understaffed, and there's always going to be difficult customers that they control. Once again you Yelpers disappoint me. It's one block away from the Starbucks that I got FTR for too. C'mon..we're not in Lodi, where the internet just got introduced 2 years ago (just kidding!). Anyways, this CVS has treated me pretty well. It has a Chase/Wamu ATM machine so we can easily get cash and it's pretty well stocked on all the items we expect to find at a drugstore. One time a couple and their daughter were standing in line for the cashier, which happend to be down the laxative, Depends and other "sensitive issue" items aisle. They were a fairly well dressed couple, but had the sick sense of humor that I love and didn't expect from them. They were making quiet jokes to each other like "oh hey...this is perfect that we are standing in this aisle...now we can get you the extra thick Depends you need...or the hemorrhoid cream you just ran out of". I was dying! I love this CVS...but that love only extends to 3.5 stars. read more

I usually get medications filled at a CVS pharmacy inside Target, however due to the coronavirus, I decided to switch to a CVS pharmacy with a drive thru. Worse mistake ever! I've gone to pick up my medications from their drive thru about 5 times and not once did they have it ready! Even when I called ahead and was told to come in an hour, i show up at the drive thru 2 hours later to be told they still dont have it ready. Instead, they tell me to wait 5 to 10 mins, then come inside. Defeats the whole purpose! Today I waited 30 minutes on the phone to confirm my medication was ready for pick up. Finally, some rude lady named Linda picks up the phone and tries to rush me off the phone while I'm talking. Mid sentence, she cuts me off and says they're busy and they'll try to get my med ready in 2 hours then quickly says "ok thanks bye" while I'm still talking! How inconsiderate and rude! Going back to CVS inside Target and take my chances with coronavirus so I dont have to come back here! read more

I have stopped in here for a few random items over the past few years. This place is located close to CHOC and thus can provide a lot of lil things if you have a child there. It is also very close to Main Place Mall and some other stuff nearby. I havent found the lines to be that ridiculous here. The staff isnt the quickest though hence the mark down in stars. PRO TIP: Scan your club card when you arrive for coupons you can use on that trip! The pricing is erratic like many CVS locations. However the smart thing is to sign up for the CVS club card. It gives you some cheaper pricing on a bunch of different things and that always helps. Parking is plentiful, but make sure you lock your ride as there are a lot of indigents circling the lot and begging for cash.. read more

I really like the self check out. I can just get what I need and leave. The people working have been friendly to me and let me know a register is open. They've always had what I needed in stock. I guess the only complaint I have is the parking lot. Sometimes there's sketchy people there, there was a homeless man sleeping next to the building and it's a little hard to get out as the surrounding streets are always busy. read more

I have a love hate relationship with this CVS. I love it cuz it is close to me but I hate it for many reasons (will list below) - The pharmacy line is always horrible. Once I had to wait 45 mins. It was that bad. - They are never stocked. Half of the aisles are empty. - I have had wonderful experiences at the pharmacy, but majority of the time everybody is so overwhelmed they are all in a cranky mood. - There is nobody around to help you Oh I forgot there is one pro. It is open 24/7 Beware: Since they are near three major hospitals the pharmacy will get very busy especially after 5. A little advice for CVS. Hire more people in the pharmacy. It is common sense, you are located near 3 major OC hosiptals and many medical buildings. People are going to go into your store. Do your employees and customers a favor, please staff your pharmacy accordingly. read more

This pharmacy is across the street from St. Joseph's hospital and regularly handles prescriptions from them. When I went there, fresh from the hospital, wearing the hospital bands and several bandages with a number of prescriptions from the hospitalist, they would not fill the prescription for painkillers without calling the doctor, though there was nothing wrong with it. And since the doctor was out, and not available till the next day, I was left with a night of suffering. Which turned into another day, since they claimed all the power was out to their store and they couldn't fill my prescription the next day either. You'd think they would be used to hospital prescriptions and not be so nasty about it. If I could give them a zero star rating, I would. As a postscript, they STILL claim to be without power, and no one I can call at CVS headquarters will help. Meaning I probably will have to go back to the ER, just because of the incompetence and disinterest of CVS! Avoid this place like the plague. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Orange, California

Hands down, this is probably the worst pharmacy to ever visit if you are filling a prescription. They are almost always busy (sometimes prescriptions take three hours to fill), but there is also incompetency within the staff. My doctor called in a refill for two prescriptions, and they just sat on it for three days, apparently because there was some change in my insurance (which there was not), and so they had to update something in their system before they could do the refill. My question to the IDIOT tech I spoke with, and any others in the STAFF OF IDIOTS there, why did I have to call you so that my insurance info that supposedly needed updating could be updated? I was asked one question: did I get a new insurance card? I said no, same old. And apparently that was all the info he needed to "update" my info. I tried to call him on it and sarcastically say thank you to whoever dropped the ball, and of course he tried to deny it was in any way the fault of their bumbling pharmacy. Not surprisingly, that wasn't the end of it. Once the non-issue of my insurance was resolved, the tech only submitted one of the prescriptions for filling. So he tells me it'll be ready in an hour, whereupon I show up to the pharmacy, only to find out that only one was filled. So I had to wait another half hour, which is when I decided to air my grievances with this shithole. Not only is the pharmacy one of the worst ones I've ever dealt with, the majority of the staff there is not very friendly, some of the people even seem a little rude. There's one hispanic and one asian girl there who both need some instruction in customer service. Unless it's your only choice, I'd highly recommend never using this pharmacy. read more

I've been here twice now to pickup my refills. The first time I completely forgot to stop by the CVS in my area and it was closed by 11pm. I had to take my medication at midnight and was freaking out until I called up this place asking if I could pick it up there instead. The lady stated that she had to run my insurance first in order to release my prescription to me, but let it slide since I was freaking out. She had my stuff ready and I provided her my number just for her own security and reassurance in case my insurance didn't go through. The second time I was a bit annoyed because some lady came out of nowhere and cut in front of me. The guy kept asking her if she was in line because even he knew she wasn't, but she kept speaking to him in Spanish and yelling at him for not being able to understand her. He apologized to me because I had to wait again, but I didn't really care since I was delusional from being exhausted after work. The girl at the other register freed up and she was politely assisted me in paying for my prescription. It all took no more than 3 minutes haha. I wish this place wasn't so far from work, but the service here beats the one in Irvine. read more
