    Closed at 6 instead of as advertised at 10pm. Staff was very rude in their response. I will not return.

    On February 10, 2026 I went with my father-in-law to Specialty Medical to purchase an electric…read morewheelchair. I was the one communicating with the owner, Doug, during the visit and he even texted me the receipt directly while I was standing there in the store. Within a day or two, around February 12th, we decided to cancel the order. From that point forward we spent weeks calling and trying to get a refund. On March 12th I texted Doug again regarding the refund. Screenshots of that conversation are included with this review. In those messages he discussed giving a partial refund and repeatedly asked that we remove the review. On Friday March 13th I personally went back to the store and picked up cash from Doug in the amount of $2,355. Even then the full amount was not refunded despite the order being cancelled almost immediately after the purchase. After I posted my original review about the experience, Doug began calling and texting me asking that I delete it. I have included screenshots of those communications so people can see exactly what was said. Doug also replied publicly to my previous review claiming that I was not a customer of the business. That is not accurate. I was present in the store during the purchase, communicated directly with Doug, received the receipt from him by text, and I was the one who returned to the store to collect the refund. I have also included screenshots of the original review that was removed. People rely on reviews when making important decisions, especially when purchasing medical equipment. Because of how this situation was handled and the communication afterward asking that the review be removed, I believe it is important to share my experience so others can make informed decisions. All of the statements in this review reflect my direct experience with this business and the communication I personally had with the owner. Full Version: I've been going to Dr. Gallaher for about 10 years. However, since I am relatively young, and in good health, I haven't had to go in too much. I never had too many issues, so I had no issue referring my sister to the office. We are 1/2 vietnamese, however, I appear fully caucasian. My sister however, is more clearly mixed. From the moment Dr. Gallaher realized that we were 1/2 asian, her demeanor changed. She became much more confrontational. She began yelling and becoming accusatory about things. When my sister and mother were in the office recently she made a comment to her nurse that "those people don't understand how doctors work". Just this week, my sister was experiencing issues with a medication prescribed by Dr. Gallaher. She called in on Tuesday, Dr. Gallaher was out of the office, so Dr. Warner did an adjustment and she was told to call back if she continued to experience issues. Since her symptoms were getting worse, my sister called the office Friday as she was told to do. I was on the call with her on Friday (muted), so I heard everything that Dr. Gallaher said to her. In the brief 3 minutes my sister talked to Dr. Gallaher, she started yelling about the prescription and why my sister didn't call in sooner (clearly didn't look or care that my sister had called on TUESDAY) Add to this the fact that when you HAVE an appointment you still have to wait 1-2 hours in the waiting room...for a doctor that has so many patients she can't keep track (or doesn't care to). I'm changing doctors.

What made the experience even more frustrating was when I called to speak with the manager. Before I even provided my name or identified myself, he already had my information pulled up. It was unsettling to realize my account was being accessed before I had even explained who I was or why I was calling. By the time I began expressing my concerns, he was already defensive and spoke to me in a disrespectful manner rather than listening to the issue. I was only there to receive a replacement; otherwise, I would never choose to shop here. The entire interaction left me feeling judged, dismissed, and extremely dissatisfied. To make matters worse, when I asked to contact the owner, they were unwilling to fully provide the owner's email information, making it difficult to escalate my concerns appropriately. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and the lack of professionalism and transparency only added to my frustration.
