Great selection, service and ambiance. The store itself looks very well organized and well stocked. You can see workers between shelves and if you need something they are there to help you. Everything is correctly priced and the promos are there so get your shopping list and walk in to this store. There is a plenty of parking outside and you don't need to walk too long to get your car after shopping. Don't forget to use your loyalty card to get the discounted price.

Love this location! Hidden away behind Dunkin Donuts, next to the library in Villa Park. Had a lunch with some family and decided to order their party trays of sushi. I didn't care for the packaging they came in. Flimsy and does not close properly so if you make a wrong move all your food will go rolling everywhere. It wasn't too bad. Semi fresh, we thought it might be more fresh since it is from the grocery store and their seafood section is nearby but no. Would prefer other local sushi places near by. Customer service was good. Out order was ready on time. Would come back and order more party trays but probably not the sushi ones. Definitely love shopping here for groceries! Stop in for lunch at their deli or some delicious baked goods! Pricing is not accurate online to in store.

Alphabet cupcake cake! They also do numbers.

The meat department did not have any so I asked Andrew ( must be the night manager) if they had any in back.

When the store opened in 1988 I was among the first 50 to walk in the door and got a free bag of groceries. I am totally in support of my local businesses. In the after Christmas holidays a big pot of home made chicken soup for dinner tonight sounded like a plan. Walked into my Albertsons and stopped on other aisles first picking up other ingredients for the soup and other groceries I was in need of. Last went to the meat aisle to get the chicken. In making soup I as well as others use the whole chicken for added flavor. There were no whole chickens in the case. I went to the butcher case where the butchers are and asked for a whole chicken. He said we don't have any. Now why am I taking the time to Yelp review this. This is the 3rd time this year possibly 4th that I've tried to buy a whole chicken at Albertsons and was not able to. On my way to buy my ingredients this morning my first thought was to go to Stater Bros 4 miles away knowing that no doubt they would have whole chickens. I took a chance 1 more time to go the 1/2 mile away local market to support them first. I understand if I was complaining about them not having Beluga caviar or 10lb lobsters I would be petty. We're talking about a chicken. There wasn't even a whole chicken cut up and packaged in the case. I will add before Albertsons merged or partnered with Vons the store offered more of an abundance of produce and many other items. Starting today I will still go to Albertsons if I need something quick that will likely be there but in general I will drive the 4 miles, no big deal, to Stater Bros that I can depend on to be stocked with an abundance of most anything you can think of. Hey who knows they might even have Beluga caviar and 10lb ????

Both staff didn't even say anything like, "One moment sir/ma'am, I will be right with you.". I was waiting for a full 15 minutes. I was very irritated by this that when I asked about the selection of chicken. Very few options were there. The Mango Habanero chicken that was already out didn't have sauce on it. The fried chicken that was currently available had already been sitting out for while. It was very poor service and selection. This is a reoccurring thing at this location.

I was not impeding their business in any way and parked on the very far end of lot on purpose. Despite my car being nowhere near any high traffic parking spots for their business, someone from this market called to tow my car (and seemingly only my car) for God knows what random reason. There are dozens of open spots in this lot, and they called to tow my car at 5 pm. I had only been parked there for a couple of hours, and I see a notification from my car app that my car alarm is going off and I see my car getting towed on the camera mid tattoo session. I had to run outside with plastic wrap on my leg to try and get my car back. I called the towing company listed on the sign, and they said this market called them and signed paperwork to have my car towed and gave me some BS reason saying that my car had been parked there for more than one hour. There is NO signage that says one hour parking. The signs in this lot say "Customer's Only" and "No Overnight Parking." Apparently someone working here thinks they're some sort of parking police and the entire parking lot belongs to them to power trip and inconvenience people supporting local businesses in the complex. Absolutely infuriating that I had to waste 3 hours to get my car back, which was towed for no reason. I have parked here several times for tattoo appointments and have not had an issue until yesterday, (02/08/2026). Thankfully my tattoo artist was understanding and waited for me to get it resolved before staying late to finish my tattoo. Edit: The business owner replied to my review, however that contradicts what the towing company said over the phone when I called them and asked why they're towing my car when I'm a customer in a business near the area I parked. The towing company said that they would not tow any cars without an authorized signature from one of the businesses, and they told me on the phone that signature came from "The Market, La Carreta." They said someone first noticed my car at 3 pm, and then called the tow around 5 pm. This is the reason I went into the store and confronted the manager who was working at the time, and not a different business.

You can find most things under $10. I recently bought a bag of 6 navel oranges (super sweet too!) for just $3.99. They don't sell by pounds which helps a lot. I find the staff to be exactly what the internet says about them- easy to converse with, super helpful, and probably making their way through college (at least the ones that have helped me so far are). There was one time where I timidly asked a question about a food they had out of stock and the cashier just yelled out what I asked for and they had someone busting a mission to find it! I didn't even need it that badly but that has been a core Joe memory for me. Shout out to that staffer whose name escapes me. Since I don't have a huge family to feed, Trader Joe's has been my go-to for just the right amount of food that I can finish without letting it go bad. Shout out to the Mango Cream Bars, Bulgogi Fried Rice, and Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs. If there's anything consistent in my life, it's those three.
