Great selection, service and ambiance. The store itself looks very well organized and well stocked. You can see workers between shelves and if you need something they are there to help you. Everything is correctly priced and the promos are there so get your shopping list and walk in to this store. There is a plenty of parking outside and you don't need to walk too long to get your car after shopping. Don't forget to use your loyalty card to get the discounted price.

Love this location! Hidden away behind Dunkin Donuts, next to the library in Villa Park. Had a lunch with some family and decided to order their party trays of sushi. I didn't care for the packaging they came in. Flimsy and does not close properly so if you make a wrong move all your food will go rolling everywhere. It wasn't too bad. Semi fresh, we thought it might be more fresh since it is from the grocery store and their seafood section is nearby but no. Would prefer other local sushi places near by. Customer service was good. Out order was ready on time. Would come back and order more party trays but probably not the sushi ones. Definitely love shopping here for groceries! Stop in for lunch at their deli or some delicious baked goods! Pricing is not accurate online to in store.

Alphabet cupcake cake! They also do numbers.

I always go here for my kids birthday and other special occasion cakes and cupcakes. They always do such a wonderful job!

What kind of person(s) says to themselves yes, this is the appropriate place to leave my cart??

First visit at La Carreta supermarket! Rumor has it that they have the best tamales, even though it…read morewas 4 o'clock and they ran out, I purchased some Chile relleno prepared as a true traditional Mexican dish consisting of a roasted poblano pepper. It was delicious. The sweets I purchased were fresher and more like my visits to Porta Nueva Mexico, when I used to enjoy the food there. Everyone was super nice, and they gave me the opportunity to practice my Spanish. The environment was truly authentic, a multicultural experience. I plan on going there earlier, to pick up some beef and pork tamales, they must be so good because like I mentioned prior, they ran out!

Absolutely despicable management here. I had a tattoo appointment on the other side of the parking…read morelot, so I parked towards the very far end of the lot, near the tattoo shop. I was not impeding their business in any way and parked on the very far end of lot on purpose. Despite my car being nowhere near any high traffic parking spots for their business, someone from this market called to tow my car (and seemingly only my car) for God knows what random reason. There are dozens of open spots in this lot, and they called to tow my car at 5 pm. I had only been parked there for a couple of hours, and I see a notification from my car app that my car alarm is going off and I see my car getting towed on the camera mid tattoo session. I had to run outside with plastic wrap on my leg to try and get my car back. I called the towing company listed on the sign, and they said this market called them and signed paperwork to have my car towed and gave me some BS reason saying that my car had been parked there for more than one hour. There is NO signage that says one hour parking. The signs in this lot say "Customer's Only" and "No Overnight Parking." Apparently someone working here thinks they're some sort of parking police and the entire parking lot belongs to them to power trip and inconvenience people supporting local businesses in the complex. Absolutely infuriating that I had to waste 3 hours to get my car back, which was towed for no reason. I have parked here several times for tattoo appointments and have not had an issue until yesterday, (02/08/2026). Thankfully my tattoo artist was understanding and waited for me to get it resolved before staying late to finish my tattoo. Edit: The business owner replied to my review, however that contradicts what the towing company said over the phone when I called them and asked why they're towing my car when I'm a customer in a business near the area I parked. The towing company said that they would not tow any cars without an authorized signature from one of the businesses, and they told me on the phone that signature came from "The Market, La Carreta." They said someone first noticed my car at 3 pm, and then called the tow around 5 pm. This is the reason I went into the store and confronted the manager who was working at the time, and not a different business.

It also feels like the busiest Stater Bros in the area. Because it can be busy, the parking lot can be a bit of a mess with people jockeying for the closest spot. I usually park closer to the In and Out, but then you have to make sure you avoid their drive-thru overflow. Since Stater Bros doesn't have self-check-out (I'm leaving out the debate on this one, just stating a fact), if you only need a few items, the lines can be quite slow. Even on the 15-item-or-less line, everyone appears to have the max. The workers I've experienced have all been very nice and professional. Prices can be hit and miss when you compare to Vons/Ralphs, but they won't rip you off.

They have a nice deli, sushi station, freshly cut fruit selection, etc. It's much more upscale feeling than I'd expect from the outside. The meat is excellent, and the butchers are knowledgeable and helpful. They have helped us with many a special order over the years, and when we have guests over, people often compliment our meat and ask where it's from! The best part about this store is the employees, who are helpful, friendly, and clearly take pride in their work. Many of the same people have been there for the many years we've been shopping here, and their experience shows in the quality of service. You'll often see the managers walking around and helping out, and if you look like you need assistance, someone is sure to jump in!

Tons of produce available - organic and regular - at the front with a bunch of gourds such as butternut squash, pumpkins and more. I love that they also sell fresh flowers and it's perfect to brighten up a home. The aisles are set up like most TJ's where the frozen items are in the middle with snacks available above the freezers, so you can peruse them. This TJ's is clean and I like that it is open too. Lots of space to walk around the store without having to avoid people every step you take. I got some fall products and I am in love with every item. These are what I got: Vanilla Pumpkin Soy Candle Pumpkin Oat Bites Vanilla Pumpkin Hand Soap Pumpkin Streusel Muffin London Fog Tea - Drink Concentrate Love that the items are not overly expensive, and they are quite unique. I'm not sure they carry that much more food, but the layout is more open and you're able to get around easier. One thing I've noticed about Trader Joes is some of their prices are actually better than national chains. Apple Juice is a good example. It's been hot so I wanted some ice cream treats, and their mini-ice creams cones were less expensive than the traditional mini drumsticks at Vons. It can get crazy, and the parking lot can still be a mess, but that's on the customer, not Trader Joes.
