When my dad tried to enter the number, the employee refused to let him and kept saying it had to be done online, without listening to him. Their produce and meats are horrible. I spent $30 on 7 avocados that just came off the batch and they were all rotten. The meat also was not fresh had white marks on it. They were $35 a piece and they went straight to the trash got sick the first time I purchased and the second time I had to throw out the meat right away because it was no good. So this is my neighborhood Vons. Needless to say a frequent this store often due to the close proximity to my house. I often use the Vons app to order grocery because it simply saves time. Sometimes I pick up my groceries other times I have it delivered. On Saturday, September 28, 2024, I ordered groceries through the Vons app. $96.00 worth of groceries. I scheduled delivery for 3pm-5pm. I was notified through the app that my groceries were picked up and I was notified that my groceries were delivered. I opened the door when I saw some motion at my doorstep but the driver had left. He had only placed 2 bags on my doorstep. One bag only had a rotisserie chicken and the other had a bag of ice. The other 15 items were missing. I called the Vons store near me immediately and they were unhelpful. They just kept saying once the food leaves their store they can't help me. What?? Is that company policy. The employee who packed my groceries for delivery kept saying it was delivered by Uber eats. That didn't make sense. When I finally spoke to someone from customer service on Thursday October 3rd, 2024 she stated that they used a third party Door Dash to deliver my groceries. The lies!! So I showed proof that I only received 2 bags out of 8 bags and the best Vons could say is my refund will be delivered in 3-5 business days. Well I got an email yesterday saying I was only going to receive $12 back which was clearly a mistake. I had to call customer service again about my refund and they said they have "escalated" my claim. So I should be getting my money in 3-5 business days. Does that sound familiar? What bothers me more than anything is that I'm a longtime customer of Vons and they had no other recourse set aside for customers of theft. It was a "too bad so sad" attitude. Management didn't call me. I don't even think the Door Dash person was even reprimanded or fired. Giving me my money back 3-5 business days does not solve any problems. I had to reorder everything that was stolen the very next day. I'm including pictures to show what took place. Vons if you are going to use a 3rd party to deliver groceries, you must participate in the problem solving when the actual groceries are not delivered. A refund is not enough. OMG I am a senior with a disability. I happen to be at this location around 1:30 today. I work part-time and visited this store to pick up something for lunch. What a nightmare, I only had about 5 things on my list. There were high schoolers just walking through the store. I had to wait as they passed in groups just to make my purchase. Picked up a bag of rice that was crawling with bugs! I handed it to a clerk and let him know, to which he said "Uhh, okay?", and walked away. I decided to skip on the rice because I was too grossed out, and went to grab a box of diapers. Lines are long and ridiculous, ended up at self checkout. My digital coupons didn't come off (I understand things happen, wasn't even mad. I waited for the attendant, big blonde hair and glasses, who has very poor customer service skills. She refused to honor the coupons I showed her that I clipped, stating she couldn't do that and told me I'd have to wait AGAIN in the super long lines to be assisted. News flash lady- I worked for the company for years and there's a difference between not being able to do something, and just being straight up lazy. We had ordered a corsage and boutonniere for her son's prom tonight. The store had a major pipe leak and caused it so they couldn't get in to the floral area. The whole team got together and swept out all the water so somebody could get back there and get the boutonniere and corsage. I visit this Vons probably 6-7 times a year when I'm in the area and need groceries. The worse part is getting in and out of the parking lot. Depending which direction you're going, you might end up doing a U-turn at some point. (Hint: Exit past Rite-Aid if you want the most options.) This Vons is a little smaller than some so while their selection is pretty good, the quantity of those items might not be the same. At the same time, I've found items here that larger Vons were out of. Otherwise, the service I received is pretty descent and prices are the same as other Vons. read more

This is the the Anaheim Hills Vons on the corner of Santa Ana Canyon and Imperial Hwy. Do not buy the ground meat here! The butchers here have this old trick of mixing old ground beef (Brown meat) with new. They are very good at the trick. You don't know until you get home and open the paper package. They know you can't see behind the counter and that's where they mix it. You think it is nice red and fresh and get home and see they mixed it in. Dirty tricksters! I was at the Vons store #2103 today at around 9:57am and cashier **** was the most unsympathetic human I've have encounter in my whole life. I was on the phone with a relative who was telling me that the fire was getting near so they have to evacuate and at the same time I was punching my Vons club card and from being nervous and worried I put the number incorrectly twice. Lisa became irritated that I didn't know the correct club card number. When she could easily notice my distress as I was in tears while paying for my grocery. I told the store manager but I could tell he could careless what I was saying. I've used the Vons app several times. On Monday I placed an order and received a text saying in Spanish arrived. The driver left 2 bags. As I brought in bags she left. I noticed several items missing so I texted the number to state this. No answer. I called and the driver answered and said she did not speak English. I speak some Spanish and told her I was missed yogurt and several meat items. She said oh Oikos and meat yes... text me address I'll bring it back. 45 minutes later nothing. I called the number and could no longer get through. I called customer service and they said I would get a refund in a couple days. Now I'm notified I will not get one. Does not qualify! How does not getting what you paid for not qualify?? This was over $40 of food missing. I'm shocked and disgusted. I will try to fight this how can you treat customers this way? read more

I've lived throughout orange county and this Vons is the worst one I've been to. I've had three separate occurrence with the Morning cashiers where they had total attitude problems. Just because you're unionized means that you can talk slick to customers and make up rules random rules to benefit yourself because you didn't want to take additional steps to complete your job. The first occurrence was with a blonde lady with glasses back during 2021 that usually cashiers next to the starbucks. I had a question on the app and she was so rude about explaining my questions. I just gave up and told her to stop explaining/talking to me and just to finish checking out my products. She was surprised when I fed back that same energy back to her. I have avoided her ever since. The second occurrence was with a short curly haired hispanic stocky lady that usually manages self check out. I literally parked my cart, walked past her, picked up lettuce and returned where i parked my cart near here station and asked her has she seen my cart. She then tells me "next time you have to let us know that that's your cart.". It was literally 1 minute that it took for me to grab lettuce and walk back to my cart. Shouldn't she have been paying attention to her surroundings? And if you have all these rules magically you should post them at your entrance. Third occurrence was with the same stocky curly haired lady. Last Friday. I went in to pick up 2 cream cheese tubs and stopped by the clearance area. There were 2 packs of noodles, 3 packs of miso soups, and a bag of chips on clearance so I decided to so self checkout. I guess the lady decides to step away from her section and the employee that took over said sorry we she had the card and I told her no worries I'll wait. I was very nice about the interaction and decided to check out the items on sale near by. She comes back probably 6 minutes later and tells me "next time you should check out at the cashier if you have these many clearance items." WHERE ARE THESE RULES THAT SHE KEEPS COMING UP WITH? For some miracle I wasn't in a slick mouth mood either so I let it slide. During the check out I didn't ask for a bag but I was grabbing my items and she decides to hand me everything one by one and proceeds to tell me "putt theeeseee in youuurrr pockeeett, I don'tttt wantt to teachh youuu." I would like for you guys to retrain her on how to be a less cranky lady. I'll make sure to follow any rules but you better have them posted. Very shady business, check your receipts. Recently my Father bought groceries here and he noticed when he came home he was charged for a case of beer (none of us buy beer or alcohol). Everything else on the receipt was fine, however. He tried to contest it to the credit card company but they wouldn't do anything about it. We're hesitant to go to to the grocery store cause we know what the answer will be - they'll just suspect we're lying. It's a pretty much "you lose" situation. I've worked at grocery store checkout before and things just don't add themselves like that - these things are deliberate. There's a lot of younger people here and I'm skeptical they're just trying to write themselves some stuff off. None of us will be shopping here in the future. read more

How unfortunate it is that I'm gonna write this review to what used to be one of my favorite supermarkets for over 25 years. I wouldn't have written this review if the cashier handled the price adjustment properly , but I need to say this. Dear Kelly cashier it would've been nice for you to be a little bit more considerate, and better your customer service! After I picked out a few items at the supermarket today and before placing them in my cart; I made sure I scanned almost every single one of them on my phone to see if there are any specials or coupons to be clipped. This inflation is having an effect on my family, so I'm a little bit more cautious with spendings, something that many of us Americans are dealing with today i'm sure! I grabbed things such as milk, butter and crackers, Opal apples and cheese. Once I reached the cashier I watched the total adding up on the screen so I made sure I put in my phone number so I can get the coupons and discounts. The price decreased, but not quite enough, and there was somebody behind me waiting in line. So I asked the cashier shouldn't I be receiving six dollars off since my purchases have been well over $35 right now and she said no you have mostly dairy which doesn't qualify!? Ha? Where does it say that? I looked back and I read it. It said some liquid dairy maynot qualify for this coupon. I was already at least at $40 without any liquid dairy included in my cart. I made sure I read the coupon!! Not to mention that the butter I purchased, and the coupon that I clipped did not go through when I punched in my phone number!! I didn't really say much. I just mumbled that this inflation is horrible and walked away feeling shy to ask or investigate much. Her demeanor wasn't very nice, and she definitely did not feel like helping me further so I walked away. I was outside, looking at the receipt almost to my car when I realize that this is not fair! That it's OK if I go back to the butter isle and take a picture and confirm because she definitely made me feel like I'm incompetent. So I walked back into Vons straight to the butter section and took a screenshot. And I showed it to her. This is where it gets frustrating and why I write this review. Once I showed her the screenshot, she still questioned it. She said you have to have that clipped and I told her I did. I made sure she even saw my phone and press whatever she needed to press to see in case I didn't do something right. Then she said at one point that I had to buy 4 to qualify. But that's not how that coupon worked, on the contrary, it said limit is four. She wasn't helpful. It's as if I am trying to take money from her piggy bank or if I am trying to steal food off her table. Does she not know that I am a mother just like her and I'm trying very hard not to embarrass her or myself!! if you ask her or if you ask her manager Paul I was a very kind customer and I'm simply trying to buy groceries for the advertised price. After a few moments, the adjustments for the larger coupons had to be adjusted by management so she adjusted the butter price and then pointed to Paul if I wanted any more assistance for adjustments. I asked both of them what would they do if this happened to them? I bet they wouldn't be as calm as I was!? What if you were in my place Kelly? Why did you seem more irritated than I should've been? Did I say anything wrong? Or did I prove you wrong and that upset you? Paul proceeded to ask me if I used the correct phone number to get these coupons and once he saw that I DID he said I have to call customer service and figure it out with them my self. At one point they told me I should have my app QR code scanned instead of putting in my phone number for these digital coupons to work!?!?! This is for sure not the staffs fault but what you should not do as Customer Service goes is make the customer feel like shit as if they're incompetent or don't know what they're talking about. Since this was not the cashiers fault, there was no need for her to be rude or have any attitude specially when the customer was correct. if I had not walked back into Vons, after looking at the receipt, I would've been $20 shorter because of the arrogance and ignorance people now have. The mere effort that I had to go back take pics & find the cashier to adjust pricing and the fact that NOW I HAVE TO keep track of everything I put in my cart and remember what the prices are is definitely annoying and inconvenient. So sorry guys for inconveniencing you and asking you not to screw me from almost $20. Who knows how many times I've clipped coupons and they never went through with Vons. I guess I don't have the time or the energy to look through all my receipts. I'm not sure what her name is (I believe her name is Joane/Joanne), but there's this lady that I've noticed yells a lot at the customers, including me. She has blackish hair and is older, maybe 30s or 40s. Today I was trying to check out and was waiting in line, then she yelled at me and some other people waiting for self check out to get in ORDER so people could get through. It was just crowded, nobody could do anything about it yet she continued to scold at everybody. This lady also yelled at 2 girls, who looked way younger, because they couldn't get the cashier to work (it was broken, the QR scanner wasn't working). I saw them walk out of the store empty handed after trying to get the cashier to work for a good 2 minutes. The starbucks service is good, all the other employees are nice, the food and snacks are also delicious. But this is UNACCEPTABLE. Poor high-school students who probably don't know any better getting scolded for no reason. This staff, the older lady, needs to be fired, or AT LEAST warned about this intolerable behavior. read more

This has been a bad week for this store! The heavy whipping cream I purchased a week ago had an expiration date of Sept. 22. I poured a bit into my eggs this morning and it was lumpy and stinky! Half dozen eggs went down the drain with the remainder of the whipping cream. Day before yesterday I had to throw out three limes because they were turning red inside and smelled like they were fermenting. I had to throw out two nice (or so I thought) large avocados last week. They were both rotting from the inside out. Threw out a sweet onion that was also brown and rotting on the inside. We've been shopping here more than 20 years. Previously this has been a good store. After reading some of the past reviews, I can see why this Vons has issues. Of course, Vons will do nothing about it. Today, there was no one in customer service and a few of us, including me tried to ask other employees. No one would help, not even the lane that had three employees working there. They were indifferent and just didn't seem happy working there. It was the exact opposite of Costco. All I wanted to do was exchange a bad watermelon. While at the grocery store I met a homeless man that was standing in front of the store asking for tickets to see the Hogwarts movie, assuming Harry Potter and tickets to see the Frozen movie. Deli Dept, on 1/23/21 5pm, called with the last minute ASAP large order, Deli answered on the first call. The deli person who answered when I told him my request said no problem I'll start working on it now I need 10 minutes. This Vons has the best bakery!! I love the bagels, pastries, and especially the big peanut butter cookies with the peanut butter cups. Recently, I left my cell phone in one the shopping carts. As I walked through the Vons lot today, I noticed an increased presence of the homeless. As a female that shops in my own most times, I worry for my safety and will not continue to shop at Vons due to this issue. Unfortunately, the center needs to address this safety issue, as in today's climate, transients are often aggressive and violent. We will become like LA if we don't stop this now. I am greatly concerned about the growing number of transients sleeping and pandering in front of the store. It's so concerning that I will not allow my wife to shop there despite the convenience. We have complained before to management and to property managers but they don't seem to care. This is a slippery slope and soon we will be like downtown if we don't stand up to this. I've gotten two cakes from this bakery one was my daughters smash cake for her first birthday photo shoot and the other was for my husbands 33rd birthday! They were AMAZING!!!!! The ladies that helped me over the phone were so sweet and helpful and had no problem getting creative and making the cakes special! My daughters cake was so delicious I literally ate it even after she had smashed it with her hands because it was so good I know every store is different and they all aren't this great but I will 100% keep using this vons bakery and am so glad I found them! And kept condescendingly calling her "little girl" he apparently was concerned about selling alcohol to a minor and rudely tossed out my drinks in front of me and a family member. He yelled at her in front of the crowd and discriminated against us for no reason. We paid with my card and if he was worried about selling alcohol to a minor and throwing our drinks why did he leave a bottle we bought as well? He just made a scene and yelled at a minor for no reason. That's horrible service and no one stepped in to intervene and get their cashier under control. Who the hell yells at a minor??
