I went here to use one of the kiosks so that I can renew my registration and get a new license tag before the due date in July. Just planning ahead. When I walked in, I saw that the entrance/exit doors had gates to prevent shoplifting. I can't believe how much this place has changed over the years. It honestly makes me feel like this was the first time being here. As for renewing my registration and license tag, this was my first time doing this and I had to ask the security lady if she could help me, and she happily did. After I had some difficulties, I started screaming like Malcolm from Haunted House 2 when his believed dog got crushed by a heavy suitcase, and he dramatically tried to revive her. That's what my scream sounded like when I was frustrated, except I didn't revive a mushed dog and my scream wasn't that loud. But the security lady was caring and kind, and she helped me out. Within minutes, I was able to figure out how to use the kiosk without my dad having to do all the work for me. Eventually, I was able to get my new registration and a new license tag in the process. It's a friendly grocery store. Everyone that works here is youngish. Security seems to be a local favorite. I saw him get hugs from some shoppers. It has a better selection than other Ralph's probably cause Anaheim is really diverse. You can find all the essentials and more. Store is clean and usually safe. Big parking lot where you can secure your car for free. Lately, it is really hard to find help with the flowers section. It's not staff's fault. I blame late stage capitalism. read more

One thing I have noticed is that not all Ralphs are created equal. This Ralphs has a better selection of hard to find foods in their International section. I have been experimenting with cooking new foods and this location had an isle dedicated to what I was looking for. I was able to find rice paper to make tufu wraps. Along with some Asian sauces. Lines are a little long. However self checkout is available. A little protip. Use the app. It tells you what aisle to go in. read more

I called Ralph's and the guy I spoke with told me to bring the watermelon... hello it is too heavy since it was 13.9 lbs. and it's dripping. I use my credit card to buy and I lost the receipt. Please don't have your security follow CHILDREN in the store. Thursday 12/04/25 around 1045 MOD (Caucasian lady) told security to follow 3 minors who are Hispanic. When security was questioned by the kids, the guard told the kids the manager told him to. He then took the kids to the manager who was picking up blueberries off the floor, and the kids asked her did you tell security to follow us? She replied yes. They asked why? And she never gave them an answer. The kids were there shopping like everyone else. They paid for their items and left. MOD didn't even have the decency to give them an answer. They are KIDS! They are someone's kids and you profiled them as thieves. SAD! Please don't do that to every friend group that comes in. Take your precautions yes, but don't immediately assume every young kid is going to steal. Please be more mindful and respectful of ALL customers no matter the age, race or gender. Sad to see! 1/24/26 around 1:30pm. I was checking out with Alena. There was an elderly man in front of me buying probably 5-7 items. I was appalled to see the way he was treated. Alena made no attempt to help him bag the few groceries he had purchased. Not even a warm greeting hello or goodbye. Please tell your employees to not treat the elderly this way. August 2025 is when I last shopped here and was assaulted by a man when grabbing my grocery cart. There was a gentlemen with his wife and son who saw the whole thing and we're the only ones to come to my defense. I walked straight to a clerk and asked for them to call the police. So being in shock I didn't know what to do but shop and wait for them arrive and not leave the store. I was in Ralph's for 47minutes and police never arrived. Not once did any staff come to check on my or ask what had happened. Absolutely unconcerned about my state. I was walking around in shock and finally I left. To my surprise absolutely no help. I was told to wait for a store manager when I complained before leaving without paying for my groceries (again shock). Where were they the store managers in the first place when the police should've been called? No call, no manager and terrible way to handle a customer In distress. We have a female employee bring me out a pick up order to my vehicle and she didn't check the items before we loaded them in my vehicle. I get home and I'm missing 3 items. I am trying to like this store. I go there most every week, and am trying to give them my business instead of facing the weird people of Walmart, and the Stater Brothers homeless shelter across the street... it seems like someone's always being arrested there. But what the heck is going on with the produce department in this Ralph's? My most recent experience was with a small bag of yellow potatoes. They seemed alright in the store at a quick glance, but nope. I bought them on Friday, and on Saturday I was packing them into a cooler for a weekend trip and I noticed little flies coming out of the bag. I opened the bag and found stinky, squishy potatoes rotting away. They had juiced out onto the other potatoes... it was a disgusting mess. I tossed it all out, of course. This is after I have had other recent issues with bad tomatoes, lettuce and corn on the cob from this store within the last few weeks. I don't understand it, because there is always someone working in this produce department when I am there... filling in inventory, moving things around, chatting with the regular customers. The produce department does look neat and organized, like the rest of this store. But the produce department is a very weak spot here. I haven't had any problems with anything from the aisles, the bakery or from the meat department. Please pay attention to the issue here in the produce department. I want to support this place, but this type of experience makes it hard to do. read more

This is not so much for the store itself but the staff who are very kind and helpful despite what I gather aren't compensated enough. One time I saw some customers ( visiting outside of city) be overtly rude/disrespectful and the young lady at bagging area and cashier addressed them patiently and firmly. I hate shopping but I never hate coming here specifically to shop. I just hate having to go out to get my food I need to cook and live, but coming here is easy and the place is great and clean. Been shopping here for decades. This morning I popped in for a few items. Two of which were toothpaste and body wash. These happen to be on an aisle that is closed off on one side. At first that was a bit annoying. But now I'm told that while I still have other items I need, I must check out and pay for the items on this aisle before I leave it. And then check out again with all other store items at the regular check out counters. This is BS. Store can't stop a few thieves or find a better way but instead treat every customer like a thief. Being gluten free (and organic and keto when possible - e.g., low carb & sugar), I really appreciate that they carry organic, gluten free and keto selections I don't see elsewhere! Like in the frozen section: Raised gluten free quiches, Brazi bites breakfast sandwiches, sweet potato toast & croutons, cauliflower hash browns, Capello's almond flour pasta & pizzas (as well as vegan), sausage pizza bites, mozzarella sticks, cauliflower sandwich thins, & even Keto ice creams (Rebel & others)! Good quality brands! I am regularly impressed by all the new item I see popping up here! Similar to a Sprouts but I see even more new items here. Frozen section also carries a great selection of: - Asian foods - dumplings, stir fries, etc. - smoothie ingredients - aloe vera, dragon fruit, unsweetened acai, avocado, wild blueberries, fruit mixes & ready made acai bowls! They also have Boar's Head deli items (sandwich meats & cheeses), & prepared salads available daily that are good quality & are a good deal for a quick, healthy, tasty lunch. This store should not be open to the public during whatever construction or remodeling is going on inside. There are wires and gas hoses everywhere and it smells so strongly of chemicals. Not to mention the loud sounds of air blowing. I couldn't withstand more than two minutes in this store before having to walk out. My head was ringing, nose clogged, ears clogged, shortness of breath, and both me and my boyfriend's eyes were stinging. I feel so sick even 20 minutes after leaving. I highly recommend that you don't go here anytime soon for your own wellbeing. read more

On Thursday September 21, 2023, at Ralphs, store 296; 915 E. Brookhurst Anaheim CA 92804, at 10:33 pm, the security guard working at that time, detained me and my daughter from leaving the store; he asked to see both of our receipts, so we gave him our receipts; he looked at our receipts and would not let us leave; I had brought 3 items (see attached receipt) the 3 items was in my hand; my daughter few items was in her bag and he saw what we purchased and still refuse to let us leave the store and would not give us our receipts back; he asked no one else for their receipts, only us, others had basket full of groceries and he just let them walk out of the store with their groceries. The only difference between us and those he let walk out without showing their receipts was, we are African Americans and they all was Caucasian; we asked him why was he doing this to us and he said he had the right to do it to us. Due to your security guard not letting us leave, I asked for the store manager, the store manager was not there, so another employee had to come over to get your security to give us our receipts back and let us leave the store and he also informed your security guard he had no right to do what he did to us. We have it all on video, I do not take this lightly, my daughter and myself are very good citizens, with excellent reputation in our community and we expect to be treated equally here in our community; nothing like this has ever happened to us, I had my 12 year old granddaughter with us and it was very disturbing for her to see this discrimination from your security guard. read more

This is a NICE quick review considering as I am not a Ralph's shopper. Before walking in this place, I thought I was going to be miserable being that I decided to make a last-minute grocery run but I was impressed and happy. I just had a Gift Card to use up and I had to pick up some last-minute items for Christmas. The store was busy as I knew it would be, but I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I'm not here to go in depth about associates providing me GREAT customer service or how the store was madly busy because I didn't need too much. Good selections at affordable prices. I frequent this store because of the convenient location being by the cheap gas station across the street, Starbucks, and USPS. There's always plenty of parking, but be aware that there are vagrants that sometimes hang out by the parking lot. Customer service has been satisfactory and can be a hit or miss depending on when you go. Sometimes, they accept coupons for products they don't carry, but honor it for competitor products instead. I tend to find that the late afternoon- early evening shift workers are more relaxed. The florist is very knowledgeable, friendly, and can wrap a bouquet, add a nice bow and colored wax paper for an additional $5. Other than that, the prices for groceries are what you'd typically find at a cheaper version of Vons or Albertsons. I personally don't use the Shell rewards program because I don't shop here enough, but it'll save you a few bucks at the Shell pump down the street. I used to live in a city where the Ralphs is open 24 hours (San Diego) so it's unfortunate this one closes at 1am. read more

I don't what that dude's name was but the black guy who was watching over self check out needs an attitude check. The self check out register kept running a pop up that said I needed an attendant's assistance. At first it was my fault because I didn't know the Ralph's register was strict about me placing my baggage in specific places. After that I did the self check out correctly but it still kept making the pop up happen. I was about to pay and the pop up started up again and I had to one last time ask the guy for help. He then gave me the stankiest face and said "What the hell. You're getting on my damn nerves." Bruh. I don't know what that dude was on but I have NEVER been spoken that way to at any grocery store. If he ever reads this. I genuinely didn't mean to make your day more difficult but if you're that easily irritated, I hope you one day learn to be a less bitter person. I was shopping at this store yesterday and in the middle of bagging my groceries and such I left my small wallet/purse at the check out lane. When I arrived home and put my groceries away I noticed that my purse was missing and drove back to store. As soon as I asked checker if anyone had seen my purse and he said he found it and it was at front of store. I was so relieved, I left without getting this young persons name. This is the second closest Ralph's to my apartment. I ended up going here today on the way back from my PO Box because it was on the way home. I have been here before and was impressed with the service from the manager. Today I was very happy with the service also from store employees. I saw folks disinfecting carts and interacting with customers from a 6 ft distance to keep spirits high in spite of the global COVID-19 epidemic. I was so impressed with how stocked the store was today. These folks have been working their behinds off stocking and providing nourishment for the locals. Not so impressive is the state of repair of the carts. Today I got a cart with a shredded front left wheel. These carts have a parking lot perimeter lock on the wheel and people push them outside of the perimeter and the wheels break. This makes them super hard to push. Unfortunately, they are not taken out of service when they are broken. The last time I was here I swear my cart was just the same. The neighborhood of this store is what I would describe as one of Anaheim's sketchiest. No judgement - I used to live over here on Crescent and I now reside less than 2 miles down the way on Ball. However I must say that more needs to be done in the way of security at this mini mall. B of A in this parking lot has an armed guard. Still, there was a person without a home being loud, drunk and racist, breaking his liquor bottle and egging on customers and employees in the parking lot today. Also the restrooms here are 1 person with a key code and were filthy today. There is always someone camped out in at least one of the bathrooms doing some type of drugs or other nonsense. The Ralph's down the way on Ball is in a similar type of neighborhood but does not have locked bathrooms or these security issues. Overall I would rate this store 4 stars for service and stock but 2 stars for safety and general maintenance. read more

Showed up at Ralphs with a grocery list at Anaheim store at Brookhurst and Ball. I needed help in finding items. I have a bit of trouble getting around due to my age and frankly because I'm overweight. I needed a shopping cart for support. A young man in his early 20s helped me find two items and then said he couldn't help me any more. I addressed a person up front who I thought was a woman -- he has long hair. He was upset at me. I found a diminutive woman who said she was the manager and she had been *watching* the whole episode. She's the source of the problem. Overworked, perhaps, and not old enough to lose her balance. I have been coming into that store periodically since I moved into the neighborhood in 2011 especially for my favorite, sourdough hamburger buns. (They were out of them the day I was there.) The next morning, I went up to Walmart at Anaheim Center. Found everything I needed. At Walmart, I did not mention the problem I had at Ralphs the day before. I will *never* go back into the Anaheim Ralphs store. The way I was treated was just attrocious. There is one guy who is polite to customers. I think he's a manager. Dunno his name. He's black. This is my usual grocery store. I always get our groceries from here, I normally go to self check out for the simplicity and quick check out. I love the deals, cleanliness and selection to choose from, my only complaint is the worker SUSAN. She is always doing too much and making my husband and I feel uncomfortable. The first incident I was scanning my groceries and was about to pay. I was bagging my items and I forgot to put my phone # before paying. I put my # and she said "oh you don't need bags?" and literally UNBAGGED my groceries. I was confused because what ?? I said, "no, I do need the bags but I had to put my number" and I paid for the bags and THEN she bagged them back up. Like what was that for ? Really ??? Another time, we had a cart of groceries and she told us no food at self checkout like what ??? So we went to a register and the worker at the register was the manager. I asked her about that and she told me yes you can buy food at self check out but when it's a lot of groceries you have to use this other lane this rule started a month ago . I guess maybe her wording threw me off I don't know because no food and not too much groceries has completely different meanings. She also made us feel this way when, we were buying sodas for the deal. She watched us scan and pay for them. When we were leaving she went to the register I was at and printed my receipt. She made another worker run after us and stop us to check our receipt. When she was the one who I asked if the deal had limits AND she counted how many boxes I had. Today I bought cereal for the deal (it was buy 2 get 3 free) one of our selected cereals weren't part of the deal. Another worker (such a helpful gentleman btw) voided that one. My husband ran back and chose another, while my husband was getting that, the worker helped another customer. Susan then came and said "it's for 5 boxes of cereal" . I told her "I know, my husband was grabbing one to change and the gentleman was assisting us" she rolled her eyes and walked away .. She starred at us the whole time. I just don't get great service here anymore. Self check is not opened early in the morning so I am forced to wait in line. The employees continually talk between each other ignoring the customers. Just this morning I bought a couple of items and Vicky R asked if I wanted a bag and I said yes. She handed me my receipt and my items without a bag. Too busy speaking with the man behind me to care about the customer in front of her.
