This store needs a deep cleaning. The shelves are filthy. I went in to grab some sour cream and was appalled by how dirty everything was. I didn't have time to go to another store, so I bought some since it was sealed. However, this store is dirty and its also outdated. We happened to visit here just looking for some snacks. This is a pretty big location. It's organized and clean. They had a bunch of desserts that we wanted to try but unfortunately we didn't really have a freezer to put it in during this visit. A lot of their items are fresh. Service at checkout was seamless. I shop here regularly and usually find the store convenient and well-stocked. However, there are some ongoing issues that need attention. Lately, I've noticed an increase in shoplifting incidents, often involving individuals who appear to be homeless. While I understand that homelessness is a sensitive and complex issue, it does create a safety concern and makes the shopping environment feel less secure. Also, there are frequently dogs in the store, and it's not always clear if they are service animals. In a grocery store, that raises valid concerns about cleanliness and food safety. Went for a sandwich @ the deli. Lady with neck tattoos jumped on what looked like her cell phone asking for somebody while taking my order. Ripped paper like she was sbout to make my sandwich then said "we out of bread" while still on the phone. I asked for a substitute bread, but told me get a pre-made packaged sandwich then proceeded to go to the back on her phone. I saw bread on the bakery rack that was right behind her, plus its a grocery store, how you going to tell me theres no bread. What it looked to me is that she had a more important matter attend to on her phone. Never coming back for a sandwich or my groceries. I love this store! I went to go shopping and didn't know the prices of many things. Though, this wonderful tall black chunky young man helped me, I don't remember his name though such a nice young gentleman. He helped me find everything I needed and it was overall a great experience. I really enjoyed this store. As well everything was clean and organized, great environment. Stopped by for their Signature Cafe soup because I was feeling sick and these soups usually warm the stomach. I was glad to see that they had all their selections stocked, especially the 24 oz tubs. I bought the Lobster Bisque (favorite classic), New England Clam Chowder, Thai Coconut Curry (never tried!), and Wild Chicken Rice. The lobster bisque always soothes my stomach with its rich creamy bisque and bits of lobster. The Thai Coconut Curry was a flavor I haven't tried and it's pretty good - a little on the spicy side but complemented by a creamy curry. Would get these soups again from this location especially due to the large parking lot. read more

I've been to this Vons a couple of times for grocery shopping trips. So far it's been just ok. I don't expect a grocery to wow me in any way. I like that they have a huge parking lot due to it being started with other businesses like CVS, Starbucks, etc. Sometimes I come here for certain things and they are either super low in stock, don't have it in stock or what they have are not so good products. I've looked for strawberries here before and almost every box had bad ones. If you flip over the box to look at the bottom they would be dripping in squished strawberry juice or look rotten. Coming here is sometimes a hit or miss. So if you're buying any produce just be careful and inspect things more closely. If they don't have it stock here you might have to check another Vons around the area. read more

I'm writing today in regards to an incident that happened in your store on 8/26/2024 at approximately 6:00 PM. I'm handicapped and dependent on a scooter or ECV for mobility. My trip to Von's at 130 W Lincoln Ave. in Anaheim, CA. On this day was a spur of the moment trip as I usually utilize DUG. I took advantage of the store provided ECV to do my shopping. While entering the store I went to the right towards the bakery. The path to the backer/dairy aisle had a split. There was a table with cookies on it and the left was a path but a sign was blocking the path making it non accessible for a handicapped person such as myself. The path to the right went along the bakery where an employee (Lisa) was helping a customer. I patiently waited about 30 seconds before I started to say excuse me and honk the horn. After about a minute of being ignored I finally used a louder voice and said MOVE! I think it is important at this point to explain that I have multiple mental disabilities. I proceeded with shopping and started in the dairy aisle. When I came back through the deli area I could hear the employee gossiping about me to her other employees. I confronted her and said "ma'am your voice carries and I can hear you talking about me". Lisa then came out from behind the deli and proceeded to tell me that yes she was talking about me and how rude I was and that sometimes when customers are rude they need to be talked about and put in their place. I was beginning to ask for the manager and noticed she was the deli manager. I went to customer service and complained to the supervisor. She apologized and said she would follow up. I was also later confronted by the customer who demanded that I honk my horn again so she can hear it. I was so upset that I took the ECV/scooter back to the spot where I got it and left. Before I left I took a photo of the isle that it happened in. At that time a manager Francisco came around the corner and followed me outside and proceeded to stare at me in my car while I calmed down before leaving. This is my neighborhood Von's that is 2 blocks from my home and very convenient for me to shop at being disabled. After this incident I do not feel welcome, safe, or that my business is appreciated in this store. I typically place 2 or more DUG orders a week to the point that the DUG employees know me by name and what I typically order. This incidents are absolutely disgusting and inappropriate to a customer that has been coming to this store for almost 2 years now. Although an "apology" was issued by the supervisor there needs to be more than just an "I'm sorry". I reached out to the corporate and the store manager when this happened. The store manager Yolanda was more concerned with making sure that i kept shopping and my money was spent in the store instead of taking action to make it inclusive. She did say she would "talk" to Lisa and that she has a history of talking loudly. Apparently gossip is a company trait after talking with Yolanda. Corporate assured me that the regional manager Steven Cech would reach out. Still to this day no word from anyone. I hate to stop shopping here but I refuse to spend my money in a place were I'm not made to feel welcomed. DO BETTER! YOUR CUSTOMERS DESERVE IT! read more

I ordered a Birthday cake for my daughter on Thursday, 12/27/2023. A man took my order and I said I would be by in Friday at 1:00. I showed up on Friday ready to pick up my cake. There was no order for it, they didn't have it ready, they had no idea. A baker wanted a description of the person who took my order because there was no person working in the Bakery on Thursday. This Vons has no business having a Western Union in the store.They find every excuse they can to close the Western Union desk and often say they don't even have a couple hundred dollars,let alone $500 or so to do a receiving transaction.Their assistant manager Francisco is the rudest.The new store manager is rude as well.The previous store manager Kaylee was very nice to me and would actually service me.Its too bad shes no longer with them.They are overpriced too.On the other hand,they sell Lucerne cheese there which is DELICIOUS. read more

This review is in regards to the handling of a theft that took place today 12/15. The first thing we noticed when we arrived is only one entrance opened, not a good sign. My husband and I came with our 8 month old baby so we opted not to grab a cart since we were only here for our christmas roast and maybe a few small things we saw along the way. This meant not getting a cart and just throwing our groceries in our stroller. We do this everywhere, Costco, Target,etc. It's never been an issue, today it was because apparently it made my husband and I suspicious. (Not the teenager in a hoodie covering his face and acting erratically with a 12 pack of booze but we'll get to him in a bit) It didn't help that there was an associate at the already very crowded entrance. My husband noticed the security guard was eyeing us as we shopped and was slightly irked. Then as I grabbed a box of ice cream he said out loud WOW REALLY? THIS GUY IS CLEARLY GOING TO STEAL. I turned around and saw a guy in a hoodie run out the door. Luckily for me my husband is very aware of his surroundings. This kid had been getting close to us and he's very protective of his little girl. He said he saw the kid looking around erratically and covering his face right before awkwardly "hiding" the 12 pack under his hoodie. So clearly this guy was stupid and not at all hiding what he was doing. We wrapped up and went to check out. As we left we overheard the manager blaming the ASSOCIATE for not being by the door. Excuse me? That's NOT his job. If anything having him there is such a safety issue! You already only have one entrance, surrounded by merchandise and on top of that an associate with a cart? Why not blame the guard? Or better yet the dumb kid who decided to steal alcohol? It's just so unprofessional to even be complaining about that in front of the cash registers where customers are just trying to get theor groceries and leave. I tried to let it be known that customers are still present by saying happy holidays, nope... He's too busy getting ready to reprimand the ASSOCIATE. I HOPE that guy quits there's so many other jobs out there that won't openly berate you. Oh yeah and the security guard. Smoking and chilling at the entrance as if nothing happened. We certainly won't be returning to this location. Not because of the theft, that happens everywhere. But because of the unprofessional way the manager handled the situation. But i I went there this morning to the deli and I decided to get a breakfast burrito a young lady by the name of Jessica help me at the counter but it wasn't the greatest experience because she was not friendly at all she wasn't rude but she wasnt Friendly she didn't make eye contact she didn't say hello she didn't smile I try to be polite but that just says a lot like you're not happy with your job then you know move on just wish she would have been a little more inviting you would have made my experience at the deli better than it was. Literally the worst deli out of any grocery store I've ever been to. Not only are they super slow but they are extremely rude. It took the Asian lady FOREVER just to make a small sandwich. She kept walking away and engaging with other co workers and looking around at everyone else. Perhaps if she paid more attention to her own job instead of being in everyone else's business then I could have left with my sandwich 20 minutes ago. Her demeanor is just plain rude. I haven't shopped at Vons for quite a long time since Vons had moved out from my area. It was quite a better sweet for me this time, because I used to buy my groceries from Vons. Their products were great with high qualities. Their prices were a bit higher compared to other supermarket around towns. Maybe with their selection of products and higher graded meats and produces. They baked freshly breads and other pastries daily in the store. It seemed like they always have sale weekly to accommodate with the customers demand. This store was very shining and clean, the isles were organized and fully stocked with products. I usually bought my meats here at Vons, because of high quality. Had a great experience here yesterday. You know, it's a simple thing to buy a couple of sandwiches and you can do that in lots of places... but the efficient and friendly service given to me today at the deli counter by Lisamarie was above and beyond the normal. I noted that all the folks working in this area seemed busy, happy and working away... but always tended to the customer anytime one came up to the counter. Frankly, customer service can be a bit difficult sometimes, but these people greeted and helped each person with a smile and a great attitude. Especially Lisamarie. I took a long time to figure out what I wanted, but she kept an eye on me while she did other things and stepped right up when I seemed ready. She made nice conversation while making my sandwiches, and I completely enjoyed this simple transaction. AND... those sandwiches were great! I'll be back and I'll tell others. read more

This is the closest market so I shop here. My biggest complaints is that the meat dept. smells bad. Sometimes you can smell it from the front door. I can't buy anything from that dept.
