I would give it a five-star but the phone system is just the worst and the whole world. It's worse than the DMV or any government social security agency you could think of. It just does not work and they have tried to fix it and it's just not getting any better. I think if they just keep it simple kiss it would work. But for the store itself it is a fantastic little gold gem. Forget if you're going there for your daily beer run. It's not a full store. They have great over-the-counter things like cold cough flu bandages etc. And the girls that work there and Guy. Are very friendly outgoing they care about you they look after you they call you by your first name when they get to know you. It's really fabulous little store. Trying to refill a prescription over the phone can take you in circles. It will tell you your prescription is refillable, but offers no option to do so. The app only tells the last time it was filled, and didn't have an option to refill. Use a different pharmacy if you can read more

Staff very patient despite multiple rx errors causing weeks worth of delays. There has also been a recurring shortage of medication. They were all very understanding and showed compassionate concern. Not a single staff member was short or irritable despite every reason for being so. read more

CVS provided exceptional customer service. There was a change in my prescription coverage and the pharmacy technicians called and worked on getting my medications covered in a program insuring that I could have my medications. They are extremely busy but made the time to do this. This allowed me to have my cancer and other medications so it was important to me. They are always kind and friendly. If you have a choice in pharmacies I recommend you choose them. read more

I have been waiting for a prescription for 1.5 hours. They keep telling me they just watched the pharmacist put the pills in the bottle, and it'll only be 5 minutes. Those 5 minutes started half an hour ago, and the pharmacist is still working on it. I am going to make sure I transfer prescriptions to Amazon to receive them by mail. What really ticks me off is the unhelpful ladies at the counter that keep lying to me. read more

Sooo this review makes me a little sad to write. I like smaller businesses. I transferred my scripts to this pharmacy because I thought it would be nice to work with a pharmacy who might know me verses a HUGE corporate store. Big mistake. My refills after one week have not been filled and apparently they are not set up to follow up with the doctor. I am used to everything being automated. I asked how they monitor refills if they have not heard from the doctors. They said they wait to hear back from patient. Okay, the problem with that is I spent two days previously trying to call in and no one was answering the phones or my calls were being dropped in the air. So I had to start over. Now I'm out of meds that are crucial and they are closed for a three day weekend. When I asked if they could follow up with a phone call. They said it is impossible possible due to lack of manpower. Wow. So I had to transfer my scripts back to my pharmacy and wait it out. Hopefully, this does not cause an ER visit. read more

Wow, so glad someone had a good experience. Called Owens to have two prescriptions filled (new ones) and they asked if I had any other prescriptions. I thought that they were going to be looking for any problems between the old and new -- --- NO NO that was not it. This is what they said, "You have to bring in ALL of your prescriptions and have them all filled first before we will fill any new ones." I guess if you need to use Owens for anything special - you better be prepared to lie to them about having any other prescriptions or be prepared to be forced to stop using your less expensive mail order pharmacy. Just attempted to pick up a prescription in PaloCedro. I was told they just received it when I witnessed my dentist send the e-mail an hour plus prior I purposely waited to pick it up.(not told the truth) I observed the lady look it up on the computer and could tell it was missed. She went back to have it filled and after talking to the Pharmacist she returned and said the Pharmacist is at lunch and I would have to wait.This was at 2PM and the Pharmacist was in plane sight.( Not told the truth again) I'm on a fixed budget and plan my gas useage . Don't go near this pharmacy for a flu shot or any other shot. I had the most excruciating pain during the flu shot, first the stinging of the needle, I could have gotten by that, but next came the piercing electric like pain that permeating my upper arm. Clearly the idiot who gave the shot did not know what he was doing. I'm certain that the shot was cold just out of refrigeration. It is well known that the shot has to be brought up to or near room temperature to avoid the searing pain. Obviously this wasn't done. I have had many flu shots and this one was unbearable. Last year, a different man gave me a flu shot without any pain or discomfort, but apparently he was not in or has left Owens. read more

I needed a compounding pharmacy and found Owens. When I could not pick the prescription up immediately, Owens mailed it to me instead. The prescription cream was very poorly packaged and arrived cracked with the envelope soaked with medicine oozing all over. When I called them to rectify the situation I could not get a return call. I did however get phone calls from Owens seeking payment for their disastrous "service". This pharmacy does not seem to know what they are doing. It felt like I was doing business with a crazy relative who has dementia. No thank you Owens. Never again!!! read more

Wow - "customer service" should definitely be in quotation marks here! Transferred an Rx here because it's closer to my work - big mistake. My previous pharmacy was great - on auto pilot for updates, text message to refill and always early enough and easy to pick up. I only moved because Owens is closer to my work and I thought it might be more convenient - nope! I never got a call or text that it was time to refill my Rx. It was automatic before for me so it was out of sight and out of mind for me to think about until I realized I was out. Well, that happened on a Sunday and they're closed on Sunday. I go in Monday and only then am I'm told I'm out of refills and need to call my MD. Still trying to work out the kinks I did that. Come Thursday, a major Holiday and they're closed I've now gone four days without my medication. So I go in on Friday and request they transfer my prescription back to my previous pharmacy. They didn't ask why they were loosing my business and didn't seem to care. I was given the one refill my MD had called in and it was $10.00 MORE than my other pharmacy. Crazy! I have since been able to get set back up with my previous pharmacy and regret ever leaving. What a hassle! read more

My life drastically changed a few months ago...I had a bone infection and would be having a picc line put in to administrator direct doses of antibiotics. I was sent to Owens infusion center. The staff there is amazing!! They help me get through the 6 weeks of meds (even though my meds got changed twice) and I was well taken care of. They even delivered my meds to my door. I always call and do a price comparision around town when I get a prescription and this place is always the cheapest! But besides that, its clean and organized and the staff is the best! My experience with the Chico store was terrible. It was near impossible to get a medical device from them they blamed everyone else for the delay including my insurance provider and my Doctor. The woman on the phone was rude and not helpful even to the point of accusing me of use profanity, which was not true. When I called the insurance they told me they had sent the approval for my device which Owens claims they did not receive the approval. I will never use owens again and would suggest others do the same. This was by far the worse service I have ever received. read more

I recently had 3 prescriptions filled at the Weaverville branch and when I picked them up I was informed that they did not have quite enough to fill 1 prescription but they gave me all they had in stock. I specifically asked if I would be required to pay an additional amount for the remainder the prescription and was told No that the price I paid included all of the prescription and I would be furnished the remainder at a later date. 1 week later I called to inquire if I might be able to get the remainder and was told that the previous clerk had made a mistake and that I had not paid for the remainder and would be required to pay 2+ times the price of the previous items. Rose, the clerk, was very short and terse on the phone and when I inquired if I could get the less expensive remainder from a different location I was told to hold. The pharmacist, (I believe her name was Stephanie) was very perturbed and sounded very PO'd and said in the interest of saving her time she would just give me the remainder of my prescription when I came in and then ended the call. This is the second time that I have been treated less than professionally so I will be moving all my needs to CVS which is not much better but at least they have not treated me unprofessionally. read more

Couple of months ago needed a refill on compound drug for my daughter.Was told they don't fill for California health and wellness. I said that's funny they had did this med for my daughter on other occasions. Lady hung up on me...Finally they filled my infant grandson going through similar issue today Lady said I was yelling have witnesses saying I wasn't but I did say I'm a professional salesperson designer please e xplain to me process. She yelled I'm not going to tolerate you screaming at me. Never once did I raise my voice. Fabulous pharmacy. Full Service and smiling faces. Very fast prescription fill. I could not be happier, they take care of all my medicines and all of my husband's medicines. Owens compounding pharmacy helped my daughter through the infusing medications for months. Nurse Sue was always patient with my daughter's many questions and Sue was always gentle during the weekly picc line dressing changes. Her professionalism and compassion made the entire process so much easier. The front office staff and every person who works for Owens that we encountered was wonderful. Corey and the other financial dept. girls were wizards! literally found a way to save us enough $ to keep her on meds for longer. We had to travel a good distance every week and they always made sure that we had everything she would need before we left. They even answered medical questions for us after hours when we needed them. The pharmacist (Justin?) even called to clarify orders with her doctor and made sure that we understood what it all meant. They are knowledgeable and caring! I have highly recommended Owens to other people with similar needs. read more
