I wanted to stop in cause I saw as I was browsing the internet, that Costco has changed up the bagel selection. They sell them in bags of 8 now, instead of requiring you like before to but two bags of six for a dozen bagels. The new price is basically $5.00 for 8, so I guess the price per bagel has gone up, but what hasn't. !!HERE IS THE BIG NEWS! THE BAGELS ARE NOW WATER BOILED!! What that means is they're more like real bagels like you would find in an actual bagel shop, a more dense and chewy bagel, yeah like New York I guess, even though I've never been. The previous bagels were basically fluffy beard donuts! Costco ended their association with Einstein's bagels (the bread donut ones) and now makes their own using water boiling before baking. They're a little smaller around, but denser. I got a bag, just watch the dates. The staff was just putting some new one out. All the normal flavors are out the including cinnimon rasin. I tried them and, whoa, what a difference, it way better. Maybe not totally as good as an actual bagel shop, but way better than what they had before. I used to avoid Costco bagels, but not any more. Try them out! I just wish they were pre sliced ... that might be asking too much. read more

I stopped over here on a Saturday and this place is located in Redding, California, I was surprised that there's not a lot of people here on a Saturday. This Costco is very large and I stopped by here to get a lot of different desserts for celebration that we were having with my family. The parking lot is very large and I noticed that they have the place really clean. As I walked through the different isles I noticed that they had items that they don't sell in the Southern California area. They have jackets with built in warmers that run off a battery like Makita tools have. I was in and out of this store in less than 40 minutes. They had a lot of check stands open and they have self check out available. I think it is a good idea to go travel around to different Costco stores just to see what others have. This location has been opened for a few years now. I highly recommend going to this place ! read more

Their cafeteria is chaos. I stood around with a mob of people while the workers called out random numbers. When the numbers kept getting higher than mine I went up and asked about my order and she asked me if I'd been waiting in line. I said I'd been standing there for 10 minutes. She asked if I was standing to the side or in line. I said I'd been standing right next the counter waiting for my number to be called. She said they don't call numbers anymore to which I said you're calling out numbers right now. She said - those are for whole pizzas and pointed me to the back of the line. When I finally got to the front the other girl told me the line I was in was for whole pizzas and that I'd need to go to another line. Needless to say it took almost 20 minutes to get a hot dog. Used be located by 1300 Dana Dr, Redding,CA, 96003: which was very adjacent to Highway CA-44; then moved to the new location. 4805 Bechelli Ln, Redding, CA 96002: which is totally convenient to I-5 Freeway. Excellent service and friendly employees. Lots of cool selections and cheap prices. Parking was ultra spacious and super easy to find. Easily some of the best around....second only to Cupid's in Southern California. Costco Pharmacy is a hit or miss. In most cases you wait in a line for about 10-20 minutes until it's your turn. I called ahead and they told me they'll have my prescription ready at 2:30, when I came at around 5:30 they didn't even start making it. I waited an hour until they had it ready. The guy helping me - Joel, was super helpful and friendly however. He said to put your prescription in on the app so you can see what's going on more accurately and in real time. But the other times I went to pick up my meds it was usually faster and easy. read more

It's 90' out in the sun. We took our puppy with us and forgot the service jacket and the tag. The guy at the entrance won't let us take our puppy in and pointed at the sign "Emotional and comfort support" do not count for a service dog. We said she retrieved, too, but he insisted we can hang out with the dog outside for whatever we want. First, by law, I believe he has no right to ask for what type of services the dog provide or trained to do. Secondly, he won't even give us an exception since she was Certified and we forgot to put her on a labeled jacket. Thirdly, it's super hot outside and he said either put her back to the car or hang out outside. Dude, I'm not coming back here in this store. You just lost another customer. read more

Returning to the Bay Area we wanted to refuel gas. We recalled seeing a Costco in Redding. I checked my Costco app to make sure there was a Costco fuel center. No point in going if no gas pumps. That happened to us when we went to the Costco in Novato, CA. No gas pumps! This location is the closest one to a highway we've visited. It's literally next to I-5 southbound. Easy freeway on & off. Costco just stocked a Korean dish called bimibap. That may be their national dish and I have made it a few times. what Costco stocks is called bimibap byt it is a total fake. it is just white rice with some oil for condiments. no vegtables and no Korean hot sauce called gogujang which it claims to have on the costco box. it is phony bimibap ! read more

You literally said that it right in front of me and then when I asked you if you gave my pizza away how long it was going to take for mine now you mimic the way that I speak, which was incredibly embarrassing. We all talk different it is not OK to make fun of people for the way that they speak. In my situation you embarrassed me in front of a large line of people. This rating is for the food court. They operate different than any other Costco that I have been in. Purchase your food order at the kiosk, receive your receipt with your order number, and then get in line and wait until you move up in line, where they will call out "next person in line ". They have no regard for the number assigned on your receipt. Total Chaos, totally backing up the whole process into one huge line. Who came up with this system!? Recently I stopped by Costco which always opened at 9:00 AM. On this day however, the new rules favoring only executive memberships was enforced, turning everyone away who does not have an executive membership. Seniors were asked to return to their cars until 10:00 AM, being a Senior I returned to my car. This was on a 100 degree day and many seniors had difficulty with this choice. Catering to those who qualify for this Executive Membership and ignoring the Seniors is a terrible precedent. Already I am attempting to find other places to shop for the very few items I acquire at Costco. Please review this policy. Or does Costco even care? read more

I brought a Prime Rib Roast for the holiday, I'm sorry to say it was probably one of the worst buys I've ever made for something that's supposed to be something special. I cooked it in a Weber for several hours and it was tough . So tough I used the leftovers for a chili Colorado some it was tender enough to chew. I will never buy a Prime Rib from Costco again. December 26th my father and I went to Costco more specifically the customer service desk and needed help with the annual refund you get if you have the Citi card. The 2 Women who helped us Tabatha(Most likely misspelled) and Carin were so incredibly helpful and the nicest people. They took their time and even helped us step by step to set up an account on my phone. I apologized for taking so much time on the day after Christmas and they said when you're at our desk you don't need to worry about anyone else or how long it takes. Literally they went above and beyond to help us. So grateful to know people like them still exist in Customer service. read more

This review is specifically for the pharmacy. I had been to four other pharmacies to try to fill a prescription for my dog. The vet felt that it would not be difficult to get this prescription filled at human pharmacy, but I had been turned away at every attempt. I reviewed Walgreens because they were so incredibly rude . My experience at Costco was easy and they were friendly and helpful. They were so helpful to the point where I decided to join Costco with a membership and plan to switch all my prescriptions there and make once a month Costco shopping trip. I walked around the store while waiting for my prescription and, got lots of steps in lol I saw lots of good deals on things that I could buy for my household. I'm looking forward to being a member there and getting all of my prescriptions filled there. read more

I have been there countless times probably every other week or every week. my husband had bought it fan because its been over 100° so we need one. we opened it and unfortunately it was defective so I took it back the next day when my husband was at work .and I explained to the lady her name was Renee. I've seen her there before she's very rude. I Had a bad feeling. I did not want her to help me but she was the only one I think the other her associate was busy. so like I said, I explained everything to her that the remote control was not working. She opens the box she couldn't open it and I cause I taped it. I wanted to make sure nothing fell out so I think she got frustrated because she couldn't open the box and I said to her why are you giving me a hard time I told you it's defective and she yelled and said I open every box and I went wow here we go so she opens the box. She couldn't find the remote control and I told her it was there. I looked I couldn't find it, but actually, I told her to look on the motor. so she didn't look, but I know my husband put it there because I was with him and that's what I told her and I said that my husband he put it on his debit card so that's cash so she goes on an says you want to store credit or cash I said already told you he paid with his debit it's cash so she was already frustrated and I told her Renee why are you giving me a hard time, this isn't the first time I've encountered her like. so after everything was said and done, she gave me my money. I told her I wanna talk to the manager and there where two gentlemen I said which one is the manager and she told him to came over he talked to me and I told him that I had been in retail my whole life and that she's very rude an I took my time to bring back a defective fan. I don't need to be arguing with someone about this. so he apologized and she was there looking on. When asked why I was there, I told her I was there to pick up a pizza and pay for it -- she misheard and then said "you paid for it ? There's no way you paid for it on the phone." Rude, condescending tone. After I swiped my card and my debit card, she then proceeds to say "is that all?" Management needs to talk to her. I also work in customer service.
