The pharmacy can be terrible here with entitled incompetent people whom act like your bothering them to get your medication or they try to blame you for some mistake they made as the reason there failing to fill you prescription as promised ( happens continuously ) Ther are one or two nice competent people that also work here and when you lucky they will wait on you and things will go as expected, all of the pharmacists are A holes male or female and it is useless to complain to them or ask them for assistance, maybe this is why so many Wallgreens are closing nationwide? read more

Customer service is horrible. They try whatever they can to not fill a prescription. We only use them when other pharmacies are closed, and sometimes it's worth waiting if we can to go to other pharmacies for better service. We have experienced long wait times and sometimes you're waiting when you think it's being filled, only to find out that for whatever reason they were not able to fill it, and they don't call and inform you, wasting your time and when you're sick can be the worst. I'm sure part of the problem is that they're busy and understaffed, but when they say they were filling a prescription for you, only to find out that it was not being filled - I feel it's not OK. read more

Whoever runs the photo department of this location is a power tripping loser. For over a year I've ordered posters whenever their $2 poster deal coupon comes up online (about once a month). It's a fun way to swap put decor on the cheap. Never once has "copyright" been an issue and actually today the other stores in the area had no problem printing my posters but some Karen (called himself Nick on the phone) decided he was going to exert whatever power he could despite me already getting an email saying it was ready for pickup. I suggest Walgreens corporate rewards the other stores and gets rid of this dud. read more

The majority of this review pertains to my experience with the pharmacy. After having a horrendous experience with another pharmacy out of state a day earlier, we went to Walgreens to try to fill several prescriptions I received during a visit to an urgent care facility. This Walgreens bent over backwards to fill everything and do it quickly. I had four prescriptions. One of the prescriptions did not have a date or signature as required. They called the urgent care to confirm. Everything was filled within 15 minutes, as promised even though there was the problem with the signature. The pharmacist also carefully explained each prescriptions to me. The woman who rang us up and helped us was friendly and understanding. Our only minor issue with the store itself is that they had a limited bottled water selection, which we needed for the road. Location is great with easy access to the highway. read more

Don't ever use this pharmacy. They are so incredibly slow that you will most likely recover naturally from whatever ails you before you ever get your prescription. Twice now I've used them because they are the closest to me, and given my particular medical issue, I can't see to travel very far. In spite of the fact that the medication they are giving me is already pre-packaged, and all they need to do is print out my sticker, drop the boxed bottle of eye drops in a bag, and staple my info to it. Somehow this takes from 4 to 6 hours. That would be like going into a store and asking for a bottle of Tylenol and they told you it's gonna take 4 to 6 hours to get it . It has never taken me more than five minutes to talk to someone, as there is never more than a single person waiting when I go in. Also never anyone in the drive thru either. So they aren't THAT busy.What takes so long? Your guess is a good as mine. But other places will get you your prescription infinitely faster than this place. I would also like to add that it appears as though nobody at the pharmacy even bothers to look at your prescription until you are literally in front of them, asking them what is taking so long. Then magically, all of a sudden, it'll be ready in 30 minutes! So there's no excuse. Edit:Update I was told to come back at a specific time to get it, having told the person I can't see and don't want to make multiple trips for nothing. Also my face is swollen to shit, and my eye won't open. All very visible, and yet here I am, at my designated time and it's still not ready. read more

Today's Bad Experience Led To Me Finding A New "Privately Owned" Pharmacy If you're getting kicked around/treated like crap by this Walgreen's store store go check out Redding Drug located at 916 E Cypress Ave in the Colony Plaza next door to Dominoes' Pizza (in the yellow strip mall). Not wanting to go through the hassles I've been experiencing just trying to get through the door to CVS at SCHC I decided to switch to this Walgreens, an even worse decision. This Walgreen's location is the absolute most unprofessional pharmacy experience I have had in over 10 years. The drive thru was so backed up I pulled out, went across town to one of my doctor's offices to schedule an appointment. 45 minutes later and not knowing any better I went back to this Walgreens to try again. The guy I was behind in line the first time was at the window, but there were only 5 or 6 cars in front of me, so I decided to wait. When I pulled up at the window I waited patiently. After a few minutes the lady came to the window. She asked what I wanted. With insurance cards and paperwork in hand I asked "don't I need to give you this information to pick up my prescriptions. She replied yes and finally pushed the drawer out to receive my paperwork. I don't know what this lady's problems are, but they are big/ugly! She began telling me I had Prescription part D, where was my card. I explained I wasn't provided a card, I was provided the piece of paper I had already handed her. She kept telling me my insurance wouldn't cover the same medicine they have been covering for years at other pharmacies. I asked her to write down for me what exactly I needed, while explaining that I would go home home and call Medicare to ask for the information. Miraculously she found my part D plan in the computer. The issue then became that they were waiting for authorization from the medical office. Apparently, Walgreen's pharmacists don't feel it is their job to pick up a phone and communicate with Dr's offices. I left without my prescriptions and returned to my doctor's office in tears asking them "what pharmacy do you have the most professional interactions with?". They told me about the new privately owned pharmacy that opened specifically for the purpose of "taking care of the patient". Next, I got in my car and drove over there. Sure enough, the staff at Redding Drug was kind & caring. They had zero issue locating my Part D and letting me know that my medications were covered. The customer service was even better than what I use to get at Owens before they sold out to CVS. We are customers, we don't have to take the abuse that these corporate pharmacies are flinging at us. Worst pharmacy ever! The pharmacist thinks she is a doctor or is a wanna be doctor. Her name is Anh. Pronounced Ann maybe? My son had surgery on Wednesday and his doctor gave me a RX for Hycet to be used as needed. Well I haven't been able to get adequate pain control every 3 hours with the ibuprofen and Tylenol overnight so I decided to fill his RX today. I dropped it off. They said it would be 20-30 min. I came back 3 hours later and it still wasn't filled. The pharmacist told me that she wouldn't give her child this medication and decided to call my son's doctor and ask for an alternative. Well WTH?! That isn't her job! Then she asked me if I was comfortable giving it to him and I said yes of course I am--I dropped it off to be filled! She then told me that she wouldn't give it to her son which I felt is highly offensive. Then she said okay I will fill it. I mean there is nothing wrong with the med or the dosage. I appreciate it when a pharmacist will double check the dosage but she doesn't get to second guess my doctor! I had to wait 30 min for them to fill it. My son is in the van crying, no shoes on so we cannot go inside. She tells me that I can wait in drive thru and that if anyone comes behind me to circle back around to the end of the line which I did do twice. Then the 2nd time around the clerk, Lindsay, told me I cannot keep circling around and waiting in the drive thru. I told her that is what the pharmacist told me to do. She said I am not allowed. Like for real--god complex? I parked and waited. Got the text that it was ready maybe 3 min later. Pulled up to Lindsay again and she said it would be a few min so I naturally asked if I was allowed to wait. Eye roll. I am in hold with corporate to make a complaint and will actually do the survey at the bottom of the receipt! All of this waste of time--an entire hour because of this lady decided that my son's treatment plan wasn't good enough. Update: corporate said that the pharmacy manager, Melissa will be calling me. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised again with the stellar staff at Walgreens Pharmacy in Redding at Court and Eureka Way! I went through the Drive Thru tonight and I could tell it was amazingly busy in both her drive thru and inside the store. Tiala was the young lady trying to multi-task with people in 3 different directions. Yes I had to patiently wait my turn. But I saw 4 cars behind me and was thinking this gal is doing the best she can and I was super stoked with her demeanor through it all. I told her to keep up the good work and you got this. I had an appointment for getting the seasonal flu vaccine. I filled out a lengthy form ahead of time, got to my appointment 15 minutes early as requested. Waited in the prescription pick up line as I was told to check in. Waited another 30 minutes when I was handed a blank form to fill out which happened to be the same lengthy form that I already gave them when I came in. I never could get anyone to tell me when I was going to get the vaccine, so I left after waiting 45 minutes and went to CVS pharmacy on Placer. I had no appointment but was in and out in 12 minutes. read more

On the one hand this pharmacy will make an attempt to order a requested brand, but on the other hand they make far too many errors far too often. I think part of the problem is staffing, there never seems to be enough people working behind the counter for a heavy volume if business. So many times I have driven to the store to pick up a prescription that they said was ready for me, only to find that the prescription was not there, sometimes because they didn't have it on the shelf and would have to order it. The obvious question is why didn't they check their inventory before promising the availability of the drug. Because I had a severe adverse reaction to a pharmaceutical version of a drug, I always call and speak directly to someone rather that go with the automated system. I called and explained my situation and expressly said I could not take brand x due to adverse reaction and specifically requested the brand I last had that was okay, no reaction. I was advised the prescription would be available in about 2 hours. I went in to the store the following day and not only was the prescription not filled, so that I had to wait, but when they filled the prescription it was the brand I specified that I had an adverse reaction to, the one I specifically said I could not take. This is one small example of the chaos and type of error I encounter all too often. So I went to an online pharmacy with success, after trying Walgreens other stores and their distribution center where I was told they no longer have the drug I requested. The brand they are using Unichem is not well represented online, an is one I will never take again. I learned that Walgreen's has no interest in tracking adverse reactions to any of the drugs they sell. read more

This Walgreens location is not that bad. I read tons of the reviews that this store has and I feel this store gets a bad rap. Trust me, this is definitely not the best Walgreens I have ever been to but the place is not completely terrible. The staff that work here actually are very nice. I have been to this location to or three times and every time I walk into the door I am greeted with a smile and they always ask me how can they help. That is something that you do not always get from big-box department stores. So the fact that kind and so willing to assist me with anything that I needed made me and my family feel very comfortable answering this location. The store is clean as well. There are a couple of items that seem to be misplaced on the Shelf but outside of that the store is in really good condition. All in all I am very happy with location. I also love by Sister location. I am not one one vent but the lack of customer service I received today for such an important and new issue really makes for a pissed off momma. The good news: our 7 and 9 year old boys got their 2nd covid shot today and are fully vaccinated! (Well, in 2 weeks anyway.) And they are feeling and doing great. Both were super excited to get it and I am so proud of them. The bad news: Apparently listening to the suggestion, or whatever you call it, of the pharmacist for the first shot 3 weeks ago to wait to get the vaccine card at the second appointment is not recommended (especially if the first pharmacist is not present for the second shot). And today's pharmacists would not write down the first shot on the vaccination card - EVEN THOUGH IT'S IN THEIR SYSTEM. What more proof do you need?! And to make it worse, and really piss this momma off, the pharmacist today told me "I could lose this one, too" when I told her one of the reasons the first pharmacist gave me when asking if we wanted to wait to get the vaccination card during the first shot. Apparently that stuck in her head. And so as not to blow up on her, I asked to speak to a supervisor who could help and she proceeded to tell me they couldn't help me either..."they'll just tell you the same thing." Long story shorter, I have a note into the pharmacy operations manager after talking to the store manager on duty as the pharmacy staff have no idea what customer service means. BUT YOU HAVE MY CHILDREN'S VACCINES IN YOUR SYSTEM!!! Who else can I ask?! So I proceeded to speak to the store manager that I had to ask for (the pharmacy staff had no intention of helping me further) who at least wasn't rude to me like the 2 pharmacy staff were. He tried to find a solution as I am sure I not the only one who has had this issue, or God forbid, would actually lose my vaccine card. Note: I was a dummy for not getting a vaccination card during the first shot, as I have experience with Adam and I getting our COVID vaccines and getting a card at the first shot. I didn't think twice on waiting since the boy's shots were at a pharmacy with records upon records, versus a senior center with on-the-go laptops. read more

I went up to the door assuming it would open but all I was left with were employees looking at me like "why are you here? Obviously we're closed" Walgreens is a joke. Sorry for the repetitiveness, but it needed to be written out to explain how totally bizarre the experience was. I waited in the drive-thru for at least ten minutes without movement, there were two cars ahead of me, so I went inside, and one other person was ahead of me. I saw one man filling prescriptions and another man walking back and forth, tapping at computers, filling prescriptions, looking through bins. after I stood there waiting for someone to come to the counter for over 5 minutes, I asked the man ahead of me if they had even acknowledged his presence, and he said he thought the man moving about was helping him, and that there was a woman freaking out on him earlier. Okay, they're having a bad day, I get that, so I just keep my mouth shut and am patient. It took over 5 minutes for him to ask the man if he was dropping off prescriptions, and then when he was done taking them from the man, he turned around and went back to whatever he was doing, never made eye contact, greeted me, said he'd be with me in a bit, nothing. I waited for at least another 5 minutes before I said "hello?" and finally got his attention, I told him my name and that I was there to pick up prescriptions. He started tapping at his computer, said that one was ready, and the other "new" prescriptions weren't covered by my insurance, and that they were waiting on hearing from my doctor. I told him they weren't new prescriptions, nothing had changed, and that 2 prescriptions I dropped off the previous week, and 1 was called in earlier in the day by my doctor. He didn't even look back at his computer, and said, oh, well, we're waiting for authorization from your doctor for a comparable medication that your insurance will cover; it'll be about an hour. That made no sense, it's sounded like he was making up a reason why my prescriptions weren't ready, but whatever, I told him I'd take the one that was ready and come back for the other in a couple hours. When I came back two hours later, I pulled up in the drive-thru, and was again not acknowledged until a few minutes after I pressed the button, and all he said was "what was your last name again?" I told him, he said he would need my license, which i gave him. again, more back and forth, not saying anything to me, after about 10 minutes I was fed up and just held down the call button, and he came over and said one was ready, and i said okay, i need to know how much longer it's going to be. He said he could tell me how much longer if I gave him less than a minute, and then after another 5 minutes or more, I pressed the button and held it, because he continued to walk back and forth, not telling me anything. after a couple more minutes, he gave me the last of the prescriptions and I finally got to leave. I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. Do the people in the pharmacy know that they are so awful that they don't even try to be half-way helpful? Are they understaffed and unhappy with their jobs? I just switched to this pharmacy because I wanted the convenience of a drive-thru, but this is anything but convenient. I did all of this with a 15 month-old child with me. Needless to say this was an absolute pain and this kind of service is completely unacceptable. I didn't blow up on the employee but I wonder if it would have helped if I did. If this is how it's going to be, I will save myself the wasted time and inconvenience and switch pharmacies again, I sent this in on their survey that was printed on the receipt, we'll see if I hear back. Oh, and that whole deal about needing authorization for a different medication? It was completely fabricated, the medications were the exact same as I had gotten the previous month. I don't even know why he lied to make an excuse for the delay, when it was just one part of many problems they have in that pharmacy. The first time I went there, it was pretty standard.. I dropped off the prescription, gave my insurance info, came back the next day and picked them up, all done through the drive through. Why this time was so different is beyond me, but seriously, you have to *talk* to your customers to let them know what is going on! read more

I love that this location is so consistently clean and all of my favorite wellness products are well stocked, but I do have a lot of trouble when it comes to policies and returns. Sometimes a return is easy with or without a reciept, sometimes I have to sacrifice my first born for a straight across exchange. That's super frustrating. read more

I have shopped here for years and had our family's Rx's filled, they are very prompt in the pharmacy, love the drive through, and a nice place to shop inside. Their staff is super helpful, especially in the cosmetic section, and they have the most extensive selection of Burts Bees product line of anywhere I've ever shopped. Their selection is really, really great and they often have good sales in the cosmetic/lotion section (buy 2 get one free, buy one and the second is half price-etc.). Many years ago I had a horrible experience in the photo lab dept. but I don't think that sales person works there any longer, since then I have always had very friendly and helpful staff. Terrible service in pharmacy. Waited for half hour at counter as the employee pretended not to see me. I turned in a prescription for my wife with stage four cancer on Friday . Was told the soonest I can get it would be sat. On sat they could not open since the pharmacist with the license did not show up. Went in on Sunday after getting a text that it was ready. Again waited in line behind a older lady that the pharmacy tech belittled. When she asked why they can not fill her script the jerk technician who would not look at her just said store policy. Customer service at this Pharmacy needs a lot to be desired. I attempted to call first, and was on hold for 20 minutes after an automated answer before I hung up. The following morning, I visited the pharmacy to get a shingles vaccination. The pharmacy technician processed my paperwork and told me he would be with me shortly. A half hour later I was still waiting, as he was extremely busy. He was a phenomenal multitasker, flying from one task to another, counting and packaging pills with blazing speed, waiting on customers at both the drive up window and the counter, and answering the phone in a professional manner. How one person can manage a busy retail pharmacy effectively and safely is beyond my comprehension. After waiting some more, I left. I will attempt to find another pharmacy to get my shot, hopefully, one whose business plan includes adequate staffing in the pharmacy department, as well as customer service. read more
