This is one of the biggest Walgreens I've been to. Their photo counter has excellent, speedy service. Their rewards card lets you earn points for discounts on your purchases. This Walgreens is nice and clean with a huge wrap around parking lot. The also have a drive through pharmacy around back that usually never has lines. If the checkout line is long, go to the makeup counter right past the door and they'll get you in a jiffy. read more

Avoid this pharmacy. All the reviews are spot on. I recently moved to town and had my prescription sent here. The first time I picked up, I waited in line in-store for 40 minutes for 5 people in front of me, then another 40 minutes after being helped for the pharmacist to "verify the prescription" (whatever that means since it had been ready for pick up for a week). All I watched the pharmacist do was take 3 phone calls before taking its clip off the top of the bag. Last week I initiated a refill request online. It showed as processing for four days, and then suddenly was closed out and "no refills in progress" listed on my dashboard. So I called Sunday to initiate the refill verbally and was told it would be ready Monday at 10. Wednesday I went to pick it up, this is what the drive thru looked like. After finally reaching the window (an hour waiting), I was told I'd need to come back. I mentioned I got an email saying it was ready, and was very harshly answered "Well it's not so you can come back tomorrow at 11. Right now we're 14,000 prescriptions behind and yours is one of them so you can come back tomorrow and it'll be ready." I'm sure they deal with a lot of impatient customers than myself so remain on the defense, but the attitude would be very jarring if you were someone stressed and in desperate need of your medication (luckily I was not). Also how does Walgreens allow a location to backlog 14,000 prescriptions? I'll happily send my prescriptions to Target as an excuse to go shopping...however wanted to warn others to save them the same headache, especially for very important medications! :) read more

WORST Pharmacy ever! Every time I go to pick up a prescription for my mom it's a wait. I mean a LONG wait. When you get to the window, the staff wander around ignoring you or only part of your order has been filled. Last time I went there I was told only one medication was ready but if I came back in an hour the other would be finished for sure. I went back after calling to confirm the `script had been filled and got put on hold for 17 minutes! I waited in line so long I was in a dark mood when I got to the window and was told that the Pharmacist was running a little behind but I was welcome to wait! Long story short, I waited another 30 minutes before the girl motioned me over and told me that I needed to have a consult before they would give me the meds... I had to go stand in another line for 28 minutes for the Pharmacist to say, looks like your mom has been taking this for quite a while now so nothing has changed... She sent me back around the corner to stand in line for another 15 minutes! This is absolutely ridiculous. If this place can't fill the orders and check people out in a more efficient manner, the management needs to be replaced and new people added to the staff who CAN do their jobs. All the reviews are correct. HORRIBLE pharmacy service. No one in line except me, waited over 5 minutes before finally I asked if someone could help me. Snarky answers from both the women there. One was on the phone which I understand could not help me, the drive up one had NO ONE in line and was just walking around and yapping with the other helper in the back. All they had to say was hi we will be right with you, at least acknowledge the fact I'm there, and maybe a thank you after handing me my prescription would be nice. Manager Cory is very nice. Where do I even begin with this location. First let's start with the Positive. The staff that work at this location are actually very kind. There were two young ladies that were working behind the desk and they did everything they could to help you. I was having a very hard time finding certain items inside this location because they were not placed on the counter where they were supposed to be. The staff here acknowledge they had made a mistake and the two young ladies did everything they could to help me find it. But unfortunately, the negatives have to be explained about this place as well. It was completely disgusting inside the store. There was trash and sticky substance taste all over the floor. There were so much bottle caps and other unbelievable things on the counters it really made it uncomfortable to shop at this location. I am very glad I only needed to purchase a few items I was super happy to get out of this location. But they do have my favorites asked to purchase. The pharmacy staff at this location is so unprofessional and disorganized. I was used to a long wait time when I lived in Chico but this Redding location is going for a record on how slow they are and how often they screw up. Scanning your prescriptions in the app gets you nowhere, if you don't need a refill you can be sure they fill that one even after being told countless time you don't need or want it. My RX history is a mess with prescriptions disappearing or not being marked as a regular rx I pick up, so it's "is this new?" No! I've been taking it for years through YOU! And don't bother calling them, the phone rings and rings then hold music for 10 mins then someone picks up and immediately puts you back on hold and this loops over and over. When confronted with these issues I got the response that I'm not the only one dealing with it so I should just accept it. No how about you hire more staff and get your computer system organized and stop making excuses. read more

After a long life for the first time i was refused service anywhere in a store ever. i attempted to buy a $500 gift card for my wife . I was asked some personal questions that went beyond proper. A series of them. i have had a lecture about how these cards are used in scams. Store clerk Rachel asked several excessive questions. Why am i buying the cards who for and where was she and more plus a not so dignified lecture in front customers. i am a gentleman and polite to working people. i have ten years of post grad work advanced degrees and licences have researched published taught chemistry and physics worked at a proton accelerator microbiologist and have a competency in recombinant DNA. Rachel treated me like a derelict. She lacks the personality and intellect to work with the public. Without competent training she will never ever work successfully in management. How what she did qualifies as helping and servicing me a regular customer escapes me. Customer service apologized profusely to me. That is unnecessary, Rachel should apologize and then be sacked I have never walked out of a store admonished embarassed treated like garbage. read more

If you are frustrated because your prescription is not ready after several days, you are in the drive up and they don't pay attention and take the car that just drove up instead of the car that's been waiting or you have to call on your prescription because it says action needed, every single person there is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! One lady put my RX in the drive up drawer and walked away! The guy on the telephone was sarcastic when trying to figure out why I've never had trouble filling my RX (from Walgreens in another state) and now they won't fill it. Went to pick up a prescription from the pharmacy on a Saturday. It was really busy and they were absolutely power walking to get everyone taken care of. A few customers were getting irritated for no reason other than there were a lot of people to go before their turn. The staff handled everything so fast and didn't throw back a bit of the sass they were getting. Great customer service. The younger woman with the long hair was stellar. Patient and went the extra mile. The tall blonde with shorter hair was doing vaccinations and this and that moving like it was a well rehearsed dance. I heard someone quietly say no, they had not gotten a chance to even use the restroom but they were going to take care of this customer (who was out of earshot) real fast first. Great job guys. The pharmacist is always very prompt & very quick when explaining any medication answers or instructions. The pharmacy techs are always very knowledgeable about refill times and will even give you a discount card on any prescriptions when applicable. They're the only Walgreens I prefer to use! read more

Went in to do a PayPal and was a little frustrated because I got no help, I was standing there while people who work there, even though they were on break, ignored me and walked by me. I finally got one person's attention she said she would get me help but didn't. Got another person's attention was told they're short on staff but it wasn't friendly when she said it so I snapped back and let her know the other person could have told me that. I'm sorry but when I worked for CVS even though I was on break if somebody needed help I would help them that's just proper customer service if you're short staffed you let that person know your short staffed and you don't be rude about it. If you don't like your job don't work there that's what I have to say and if you want to be moody don't take it out on your customers!!so Ive never had such a s***** experience there as I did today!!!! She basically told me that she didn't trust me and that the photos could be stolen. I explained to her I bought the very expensive package and they were in fact mine. She didn't care. While I think all the team members in this pharmacy are always helpful and nice. The store does not think enough of the customer and that our time is precious. I've waited now for almost 1 hour in a long line while they only have one of their three registers open. This is poor service to us folks who spend our hard earned money and keep their store open. Staff here is always very friendly. But their price tags are very confusing. I went to buy a item the other day lead to believe it was on sell for 5.99 but when I got up to the register it rang up at 10.99. When I told them it was supposed to be 5.99 they said no that price tag says how much we pay for the item is 5.99. Why would they put how much they pay for the item? Everytime I have to pick up a prescription there its a problem, its out of stock, there's an issue with this or that.
