    After waiting 15 minutes in line for a COVID test, I'm finally close enough to read this sign that says I'm in the wrong line.

    This is a terrible system for getting a CV19 test. I've been idling in line for 40 minutes, now. Note: stay in the left line for testing. The right line if for prescriptions.

    I don't live in the area, but if I did I would not go out of my way to make this my drugstore of choice. In just one visit I witnessed the tail end of an apparent parking lot fight that drew police, an intense public meeting between staff employees and an argument between an intoxicated guest and the pharmacist. Thus is the downside to a place selling drugs being open 24 hours. Now, the upside: Well-stocked shelves and, despite the recent incident, very friendly employees. I waited in a short line at the register, less than two minutes, and the gal apologized for my wait. Another guy walked the aisles with me helping me find what I was looking for. While the parking lot looked like a crime scene, the interior and the service were actually above average for my typical drugstore experience. Not enough to ever bring me back, but worth noting.

    This Walgreens location is not very good at all. Every time I go here the parking is absolutely deplorable! There are so many cars in the parking lot at almost makes me want to turn around and go home. If I did not drive over 20 minutes just to get it all dang Walgreens I probably would go home. It is completely unacceptable. They never have enough carts or baskets for me to put my items inside once I do enter the store. It seems like the staff never cares. Every time I bring this to their attention they tell me there's nothing they can do because the carts and the baskets never get returned properly. Well if they never get return properly why don't you just go do your job and retrieve them like every other store. It makes absolutely no sense! I wish these people would care a little bit more about the job. More importantly I wish they would care a little bit more about the customer. I am spending my hard earned money to come to this location and this is the service I received. Completely unacceptable. I bought a case of water from here as well and one of the water bottles inside the case was half full. Terrible

    My grandfather went in to purchase a butchers candy bar and his change back was 2 pennies so he said keep the change, and this cashier called him an as***** for telling him to keep the money!?!?

    Today my wife and I had Covid tests scheduled at 12 and 12:15 at the 980 E Cypress Ave location in Redding. We arrived 15 minutes early as the email dictated. The email said follow signage but there was no signage so we joined the drive thru pharmacy line. Since the ONLY signage specified the new hours and in big bold print that "both lanes open" we followed traffic into the far lane. Even though there were only 7 cars in front of us when we arrived we did not get to the front of the line and talked to until after 12:45 when we were informed that "whoops only the left lane can do Covid tests" and that we'd need to go wait in line again. I explained I had a fussy two year old in the back seat and the kid on the other end of the radio didn't offer any help. When I went inside to inquire why there wasn't signage the lady at the counter blamed homeless people stealing them, and when I said that was unacceptable she called for a manager. When "Nick" finally showed up he was ranting into his radio about "what am I supposed to do when a sign blows down", I assume unaware I was the rowdy customer he was coming to talk with. He had a quick exchange where he alternately blamed being short staffed and then again asserted his sign blew over. Then he flippantly announced he wasn't dealing with this, walked away and said I can either get back in line or go somewhere else. I've included pictures from the store showing all signage. He's right a sign had blown over but nowhere on it did it specify anything about lanes for Covid tests. I'm not sure which excuse was more offensive, the one about homeless people stealing the sign or the fictional blown over sign but I find the behavior of the staff despicable. I plan on contacting BBB and both Redding and state chamber of commerces about the managers behavior, as well as the California pharmaceutical board over the appalling disregard for a pandemic. Only servicing 7 cars in an hour and turning away appointments because they weren't psychic about lines is not putting public safety first. https://postimg.cc/gallery/4XfkQmg
