I've had my experience with disappointment with this Pharmacy! But I've been going there for years! Everyone knows me there. I find the Pharmacist 's to be very knowledgeable and helpful! Most of the cashier's and pharm techs are really great at their job, friendly, courteous! They deal with the public every day, sometimes it's hard to have people yell at you all day for doing their job. We are all human right! I love Molly! An open letter to the pharmacy technician who fielded my question this morning. Dear Pharmacy Technician, I asked you if you carried something called a "Nose Frieda." You said, "What?" (No problem -- that's what I said, too.) I answered, "It's a nose aspirator for babies. I only saw bulbs on the shelf." You said, "A what?" I explained the concept of a nose aspirator. The pharmacist overheard and said that you didn't have anything in stock other than nasal bulbs (which aren't anywhere near as effective). As I turned around to walk away, the pharmacist explained to you what a "Nose Frieda" is. And you were laughing loudly, sounding like an intoxicated hyena, with numerous exclamations of disbelief. You're a pharmacy technician. You're probably going to get more than a few questions about the use of lotions, potions, do-dads, and gizmos for treatments that are kind of gross, addressing ailments that are kind of gross. It's not really a good look for Rite Aid to have you laughing about these things within earshot of the customers. In this particular case, my baby granddaughter is having trouble breathing, her chest is rattling, she's running a high fever, and her coughing is causing her to projectile vomit everything she eats and drinks, including her meds. I'm not really in the mood to have you finding any goddamned fucking mirth in it. That's going to be a common theme among your customers. Worse for your employer, some customers are going to be embarrassed to ask questions about whatever it is they need to smear on their genitals or shove up their anal orifices (or whatever), and your mocking laugh is going to send them, in the future, to another drugstore called "Anymotherfuckingplace But Rite Aid." Not a good experience at all. We brought a prescription in, and they took a while to get all the information from us. We came back 5 days later to pick it up to find out they had no prescription and no information at all to verify we had brought anything in. We had waited in line a good 20 minutes before finding this information out. They were stressed, unhelpful, and full of excuses. Don't go here if you actually need to have a prescription filled within a normally reasonable amount of time. If you're sick or have an injury needing medication, and have come to this pharmacy, good luck. read more

The male Pharmacist that was there on Wednesday night was AMAZING!!! I asked about cough medicine for my son, I wasn't even getting prescriptions. He not only answered my questions with a smile, but he also came from around the counter to help me find what I needed and was laughing and genuinely happy! Needed a prescription filled just before closing hours, so we called to make sure they had the cough syrup and if there was time to fill it. A gentleman answered and asked to put me on hold, I just asked how long the wait was to fill a Cheratussin Cough Syrup prescription, he said he needed to put me on hold anyway. By the time he picked up, we had already arrived. Stood in line maybe 5 mins and was told the were out and didn't have any the day before either. Allergy season is in full swing and everywhere I go people are coughing. Anyway, cock blocked from visiting another pharmacy as everything that we could find is now closed. read more

I am frustrated to the max with this pharmacy. I had a prescription that was meant to last 15 days, but they refused ti fill it until day 16. I explained that this doesnt make sense and spoke to 3 different people there who all gave me different reasons why they wouldnt fill it on the due date. Wonderful experience at Rite Aid this evening. After visiting 2 local CVS pharmacies for a passport photo with no success I tried this Rite Aid. For your own safety avoid this store at all costs. Recently stopped in on the way to the Whiskeytown Lake to pick up a few items but first had to run the gauntlet of vagrants in the parking lot asking for money and checking out my car and wife. Several people were just hanging out in and out of cars. One vagrant was within 2 feet of the door and after refusing to give him money said well he could just rob me instead. Mentioned this to the clerk in the store when checking out and was just ignored. Understandably as what was she going to do about it. Then had to exit the store only to be harassed again and then threatened by another vagrant just for looking at him. I will never go back and am now looking to move out of Redding completely as the homeless are now in every parking lot and on every corner. Why are the city leaders allowing the dumping of this population on our community? read more
