If you value your time, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. During my visit, it was clear that most employees had little idea what was happening, and the manager appeared to be nowhere to be found- reportedly "in the back" the entire time while customers were left waiting. The photo print center was particularly frustrating. I was initially told my prints would be ready in 6-7 minutes. After waiting around the store for about 20 minutes, I finally asked for help and was told there had been an error and it would be another 10 minutes. After waiting again and struggling to get someone's attention, I was then told there was a print queue and that I would have to come back at some unspecified time because no one knew how long it would take. That information would have been perfectly reasonable if it had been communicated at the beginning, instead of after nearly 45 minutes of wasted time. The only person who ultimately provided a clear answer was a kind employee who had literally just clocked in for her shift, which says a lot about the lack of organization beforehand. I rarely go to CVS, and this experience reminded me exactly why. I'll pick up my photos whenever they eventually become available, but I won't be returning. If you're considering using the photo printing services here, be prepared for delays, unclear communication, and a lot of waiting around. read more

There are two gentlemen that work here every once in a while, and they are both extremely rude. Uninterested in their jobs and most certainly uninterested in the person they're helping. They treat you like you owe them and that you're a nuisance to them. Terrible communicators, and in fact much of the time the information they provide is incorrect. Including the two stars, for the other lovely employees that have helped us in the past. read more

Employees and management here are knowingly selling gift cards that have been tampered with. $200 in gift card purchases have been stolen from me from CVS because CVS claims it's not their problem that they are selling fraudulent cards. I have to update my review for a great experience I had late last night. Erica, I believe she is a pharmacy tech, helped me fill a prescription when they only had 5 more minutes before they closed. She took the call with me frantically asking if they received my doctor's prescription electronically, and while I was driving there filled the prescription for me and had me pay for it all before 8:00pm (when they close) or within a couple minutes after. She was friendly, helpful, didn't seem upset or jaded because I was so last minute and it was late. She just wanted to do her job and I completely appreciated that! read more

This review is for the pharmacy. I just had an excellent experience here. I transferred in a prescription from Walgreens because I was hoping to receive better treatment from a pharmacy. The pharmacist there today was super sweet, asked me how I was doing on my medication, and then let me know her diligence in fighting Walgreens to get my prescription transferred. She had excellent customer service, very warm and friendly demeanor. I feel very excited to come here from now on :) read more

Terrible! I have never had so many issues with a pharmacy. The communication is very poor. Hours are extremely limited. Employees don't seem to know what is going on with ordering status. I am so disappointed as this pharmacy is very close to our home. We are changing ASAP and will alert others to avoid. Literally the worst cvs pharmacy I've ever dealt with. They never let you know a medication isn't available or in stock until you call them. Every time I've had to call to ask the status of my prescriptions when it's been more than 4 hours when it's been sent from the doctors office. Seems like I need to transfer my prescription back to original CVS on Treat which is much more efficient even though I live in CLAYTON!!!! read more

This CVS is extremely racist. I walk into this store and head to look for shampoo. Immediately I hear "aisle 8" over the speaker and of course it is the aisle I am in. A white worker appears and asks if I need anything. I say no. She proceeds to follow me around the store pretending to be on the phone. I feel uncomfortable and cut my visit short. After I pay she has the audacity to say "have a nice day" while waiting for me by the door still pretending to be on the phone. Of course I was the only brown person in the store. So of course I was targeted. It is already difficult enough being one of a handful of people of color in this town. I have never stolen anything in my life. I have no criminal record. I have a bachelors degree and am pursuing a masters degree. Not that any of this protects me from being racially profiled at CVS. Nor should you have to have any of this to avoid being racially profiled. Shame on you CVS. You all are racist. read more

CVS has a "scan-right policy" that they do not honor. I was overcharged for six of the items I was purchasing. They scanned wrong. I pointed it out to the to the clerk, Salvatore. Additionally, I pointed out the scan-right policy. Sal told me clearance items are not covered under the policy. I read the policy that is clearly posted on the checkout counter and there is no mention excluding clearance items. He refused to honor the policy. read more

Walked in for a flu shot and the pharmacy was open the pharmacist was there and she had flu shots but she was closing in 20 minutes and couldn't be bothered to give me a flu shot before she left she didn't want to so she refused me. And now I refuse to shop at CVS hello Walgreens. read more

Horrible pharmacy customer service. No one in pharmacy answers their phone and, after an excessive wait time, I left a message no one returned. I received an automated text instructing me to use their app. The app informed me it was too soon to refill my heart medication (it wasn't). My doctor tried to contact them and was equally frustrated. CenterWell pharmacy also tried to contact them to no avail. I was without needed medication for nearly two weeks. Dealing with their app and voicemail left me extremely frustrated. I resolved this issue through CenterWell pharmacy. The only way to interact with CVS pharmacy in Clayton is in person and that's difficult to do when one is not feeling well. read more

Needed a Passport Photo. Went to Walgreens and was told that the camera is not working TODAY. Probably because the manager was busy unloading merchandise. Went to the next closest CVS to find they do not do Passport Photos. Went to downtown Clayton and this lovely lady took our photos and within 10 minutes we were out the door with our pictures. read more

I really appreciate people that make you feel better just by their smile especially when coming into a pharmacy for an ailment, the pharmacist Drew was also super cool and seemed to care about what he was doing a lot. This CVS is never out of anything when I go in, and the couple times I have had to ask for help they have been very cheerful. This store will probably remain in great order since it is way off the beaten path in Clayton. I will even go here on occasion for grocery items if I don't want to wade through the people at the Safeway on Ygnacio. read more

I'm at CVS (Clayton) multiple times a week and the staff is always courteous and helpful. They keep a good eye on the lines, and the same day photo processing has been consistently good. I lost my debit card in their parking lot. A courteous person gave it to a cashier -- who went to the trouble of finding my name in the pharmacy's database, called me personally, and locked the card in a safe until I could get there. This is such an awesome CVS, and I think what truly makes it a great store is the people who work here. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. They keep items stocked, so I can always find what I am looking for. Unlike many of the other CVS stores I have been to, this store is clean and organized and does not require a security guard. I love using the coupon machine near the front because it always spits out five to eight coupons for things I actually use. You scan your CVS card to get the coupons, so I think they choose the coupons based upon your buying history. While some people may think CVS is pricier than Target or other larger stores, it really isn't considering all of the CVS bucks you get to use toward merchandise, as well as the 25% off coupons you are emailed. read more

A nice store that has friendly staff members and carries party invitations that the larger Concord CVS did not have. I always run here to buy milk because it is a good brand with a great price and they have easy,, close parking. If you pay attention to their specials and don't forget your Easy Bucks, you can find very good deals. read more

I went to my local CVS pharmacy this evening to be unpleasantly surprised with a rude worker at checkout. As I was counting out my money, she looked at my cash and mumbled "oh my gosh". After asking to put back an item that she had already scanned, she exclaimed "what, do you not have enough money!?" I then asked her again to put the item back. The worker annoyingly asked my friend who was with me if I had any money when the lady standing behind me offered to pay and asked me how much we needed. I politely declined, but this worker told the woman that we needed 5$, to which I declined and just asked her again to put the items back. The worker kept insisting that someone pay for the items, and I kept politely asking that she put them back. She finally did and scowled at us as we walked out the door after we payed. read more

Was going to give 5 but not sure now. Lots of people say how great the staff is and I love Rosalie and Sam in the pharmacy. That is how I have felt since moving to Clayton 2 years ago. I go in and shop at least twice a week and have our entire families scripts there. It's my go to place for retail therapy. However, the other day I was caught way off guard. The store manager was following me around and way to close in my personal space looking over my shoulder and giving me and my daughter really rude looks. I think maybe she thought we were shop lifters. Which is absurd. Everyone knows me there. I spend soooooo much money there. She made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. The only thing I can think of that would cause a reaction like that is that my daughter recently cut her hair and dyed it a fun red color (that she bought at that store by the way). Maybe she thought we were thugs?! ROFL I am still trying to decide how to handle that situation. I mean I was about to put a couple of items back that I decided against buying and all the sudden she was in my face taking the items and even tried to take my entire shopping bag! I was like what in the world is this crazy lady doing! So today I went through drive through. I must say my feelings are a bit sore which sucks because I absolutely love that store :( read more

I don't ever write reviews but I want this CVS to be my first, and CVS has Ash the Pharmacist to thank for that. Everything positive everyone already said in these reviews I totally agree with, the store is always nice, the people are always so helpful and friendly and I love the many birds nesting in the top of the building as you enter! lol But my main reason for stoping here as often as I do and actually the reason I will never use another pharmacy is because of Ash. I am relatively young and living with a very difficult disability and I need many medications. Ash is always sure I don't go without my medications and does everything within his ability to be sure things on his end are handled promptly. He goes out of his way to get ahold of me if I've got a prescription I need waiting for me. It's weird to think in this day and age of your pharmacist as a friend and that's exactly what Ash is to me. He is caring & kind & always has smile... The man is a genuine treasure and I truly hope CVS takes note! read more

The pharmacy here is horrid. I absolutely hate coming to them and sometimes even go to a different store in order to avoid them. I happen to be "one of those" people that have monthly pain medication refills for my abdominal cancer. The amount of flack I get from them to fill my prescriptions is over the top and I always leave feeling like I'm some sort of junkie loser. My scripts come from an oncologist, you would think along with all the other medications I take the pharmacists here would clue in to how sick I am. But, nope. They will get all my medications together in one day (including a controlled medication that is not a pain killer, but requires a call to my doc to verify) but will make me wait a day longer for my pain meds (and I don't try to do early fills...ever, I'm very responsible with my meds) and it's just so unnecessary and cruel. They always act like I'm scum and when you're as sick as I am...empathy goes a long ways. It's likely time to transfer to Walgreens, even though it is not as convenient. read more

I love the emails that allow you to "send" a coupon to your ExtraCare Card. This CVS is conveniently located in downtown Clayton and they carry just about anything you can think of. Great for getting something in a pinch when I don't feel like driving further outside of town. My family also obtains our prescriptions here, my only complaint is that I wish the online Rx management features were more tightly integrated with the local store locations. I tried to transfer a few prescriptions to this store via the website. The site made it look like the order went through but they had no record of the transaction in the store. The Rx staff was nice & they quickly setup the transfer for me inside the store. Overall, the store's staff is friendly & the services/goods available are plentiful. read more

I feel bad for the counter staff at the pharmacy. They're nice . But when I arrived there were 4 people in line ahead of me. Only one person working. They called for help twice and no help came. When finally I got there I was told the RX could not be filled. When I wanted to talk to the pharmacist about stopping the med for a few days while the insurance figured it out , the pharmacist flat out ignored me at the window and was dialing every cvs in the area to find prescriptions she didn't have . So not only did that tell me they didn't have adequate supply of several meds but she continued to dial for meds while she had a line at the window. I finally left without questions answered . This pharmacy needs to be overhauled in a big way. It wasn't long ago that I picked up prescriptions for my parents only to be called later saying saying I had to come back because they didn't charge me for the meds I already had in my possession ! read more

If you are going to get your flu shot at a CVS pharmacy I would stay away from this one.... My friend got hers there and it took 55 minutes from the time she asked for the shot until they finished checking her out... and there were no pharmacy customers during that period.. Very slow.... read more

Today I was treated terribly by a managers named Ron and a fat white bald guy for absolutely no reason. I was there to purchase but apparently not good enough, CVS should be ashamed to employ such intolerable beings. Prices are high, store shabby and poorly laid out but close to home. However, Amazon is far cheaper polite and they deliver for free with Prime, Better way to go. Cutting up their joke of a savings card now. This is like night and day compared to the other CVS stores in the area. It's a pleasure to shop here. It's clean, well-stocked, and the cashiers are friendly and helpful. This is now my go-to CVS. Just goes to show that in a wealthy community, CVS treats its customers right, but in the poorer communities they treat customers like garbage.
