This is a really down in it's luck CVS. There are a ton of vagrants out front and the front door doesn't work and is propped open. A lot of the shelves were empty, almost everything is locked up, and it feels a bit grimy. It was a wasted trip for us since it turns out our vaccination isn't covered by our insurance (the pharmacy tech also had an issue checking us in and reviewing our accounts) and the check stand (no self check out) had a line of five people deep that wasn't going anywhere so I put back the candies I'd picked up and left. To be honest I never see us ever coming back to this location, we don't see these issues at our local Walnut Creek CVS and we're always able to use their self check out to be in and out quickly, so overall I think two stars is right on the nose. read more

There have been instances when calls were not answered or returned in a timely manner despite requests involving patients with active clinical needs. I would appreciate leadership reviewing the communication and escalation process to ensure urgent patient needs are addressed promptly. CVS needs to do better about hiring more pharmacy help. I usually have to come back 3-4 times because my prescription isn't ready. There's always an issue. Today in morning, I purchased a bottle of water and a fragrance mist. After work, I returned to the store, thinking it would be easier to pay cash for my rent since it was just a block away. When I arrived in the evening, I walked straight to the cashier with the water in hand and the mist in my pocket, as I only had a fanny pack with me. The cashier informed me that he couldn't deposit cash for me, which was fine. However, when I turned to leave, he rushed in front of me and asked if I had purchased the items. I explained that I had bought them earlier in the day. He then asked the other cashier if he had rung me up and requested to see my receipt. I told him I didn't have the receipt with me (I had left it at work). When I tried to show him the transaction on my phone, he said he didn't want to see the transaction. He then took my items and told me not to return, after which I immediately left the store. read more

It was the way he greets everyone when they come in to Cvs. Its rare that you find an employee who genuinely is kind and super helpful and has a lot of patience to help a customer with a problem. I've been coming to this pharmacy, but my recent experience was so unprofessional that I felt compelled to share it. I pulled into the drive-thru to pick up a prescription and ended up waiting for 25 minutes. During that time, I watched two cars that arrived well after me in the other lane get helped while I was completely ignored. A staff member kept staring at me through the window, but made zero effort to assist me or explain the delay. To make matters worse, she eventually just slammed the window gate shut and signaled for me to come inside. When I went in, there was zero acknowledgement of the situation and absolutely no apology. Both the technician and the pharmacist seemed more interested in just staring at me than addressing the issue or taking any accountability. What should have been a quick trip turned into a 50-minute ordeal. I expect a basic level of courtesy and efficiency from a pharmacy, especially when handling time-sensitive medications. The complete lack of professionalism and customer service here is unacceptable. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

You can always count on cvs...to not have your prescription ready. I stopped coming to this place years ago and started going to sam's club pharmacy which is awesome. This pharmacy is understaffed. Some of the staff they have are lazy. I called and spoke to the pharmacist 3 times and did an electronic transfer online to make sure my transfer prescription would be ready. I had to inform the pharmacist to call Sam's club to start the transfer. I also informed her I was coming into the store because I already know the games CVS plays. Once I got here and waited in line for 32 minutes with only 2 people in front of me the pharmacy said oh they didn't send the prescription. Okay so call them back and get it over the phone, if you knew I was coming in why would you not take the initiative to call especially since Sam's club pharmacy closes at 7 and it was already 6:47 by the time I made it to the front of the line. While I sat for an additional 30 minutes waiting on my prescription I witnessed every single customer have similar issues and the pharmacist completely ignore a man while he was speaking to her. Honestly I can't blame customers for being rude to the pharmacist because she is rude to them. I'm big on matching energy. CVS locations are constantly closing, let this be the next one. read more

The one star is for the technician that checked me out; she was friendly and helpful. 1. It is filthy; the screen plexiglass dividing customer from workers looked like it hasn't been clean for weeks. The surrounding area is dirty as well, even part of baseboard is missing. Pharmacies are suppose to be clean and sterile. 2. Post your hours in a place everyone can see it clearly. They have a tiny little sign that says they are closed for lunch from 1:30-2:00. You can only see it if you stand in front of it. 3. Unorganized; chaotic work area back in the pharmacy. It also looked like they are understaffed; is 5.5 hours to fill a prescription normal? 4. opening 13 minutes late after your lunch break is really Unprofessional! Wish I could give negative stars. This store is consistently understaffed. Obtaining refills is always a challenge. I called YESTERDAY and was told my prescription would be ready TODAY. Waited in line for 20 MINUTES, only to be told that it wasn't ready and that I needed to wait another 20 MINUTES! This is the last straw. I have selected a new pharmacy: Solano Pharmacy. Follow up. BC not letting this go due to the 'manager' pharmacist (who was changing the treatment my shrink of 25 yrs ordered and not filling script. My GP of 30 years and specialist of 3 years signed off on my dosage and medication. So now insurance companies and cvs pharmacist know me better than my doctors???!! The male Pharmacist there constantly refuses to fill medications and interrogates you, it's the most unpleasant and unprofessional experience I've ever had, making you feel like some drug addict. It is mind blowing that a pharmacist has any say whatsoever in what prescriptions get filled and don't get filled when they're not the one seeing patients. After having to call for store employees to open up 2 locked cabinets, I stand in pharmacy line to pick up prescriptions. As I'm in line for a couple of minutes, employees said they are shutting down for 1/2 lunch break and they were already 5 minutes late to close. Gate dropped and I have to wait 30 minutes. I contact the store manager and complained about issue primarily because you can't see lunch closure sign. I went and pick up a medication and for some reason something funky was entered in the "days supply" instead of 56 it was manually entered as 63 and because of this it bumped my co-pay to 3 months supply, I don't know why but there is always something wrong with the folks working there I do feel that they are not qualified for that job I'm really frustrated with this location I hope they change one day read more

Three people up front handling the only customer in front of me couldn't assist me because they ALL go to lunch at 1:30 like its 1956. Told me to come back at 2. Not well stocked or staffed. Parking lot only feels safe about half the time. Nobody called when my photos were ready. Pharmacy line is insane. I can only blame some of these issues on CVS, the patrons of this location are just not the type to allow for efficiency. They need 2 lines at the pharmacy: one to pick up a medicine and one to argue about your insurance or make too much small talk cuz you are lonely. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Waited in the pharmacy line for 20 minutes with lots of elderly folks; no chairs for people having to stand that long is incredibly insensitive. The place was filthy; trash all over the floor, trash on the counters, sticky residue on the counters. I took a look behind the counter & the drug area was just as unkempt. I was sick and there was no hand sanitizer available, which seems like such a no-brainer for a pharmacy to have available. This place never answers the phone anymore and it's so frustrating! They have this new call back thing that really sucks! Pharmacist is nice but far too nosy. My dentist called in pain meds for me 3 times, only like 5-6 very low dose norco at a time. I got dry socket from 3 molars pulled at once and 2 root canals, all done on the same day! This pharmacist actually flagged me in the system for getting 3 scripts for only a couple of norco at a time after MAJOR dental surgery!!! Seriously ridiculous!!! I CANNOT IMAGINE HER GETTING THE SAME PROCEDURE DONE AND GOING THROUGH ALL THAT PAIN AND SUFFERING WITH LESS PAIN MEDS THAN I TOOK!!! I actually asked my dentist to prescribe me the bare minimum which is why I didn't just get one bigger script to begin with. I only took them strictly as needed to sleep at night, or to be able to eat!! I completely understand pharmacists needing to watch out for people overprescribing narcotics but seriously, she saw me the day I had my surgery done and I could tell she felt awful for me. She said "oh man they really hurt you didn't they"? I couldn't talk, my entire face was swollen and I was still bleeding with a mouth full of bloody gross gauze!! This really upset me because I'm extremely careful with pain meds, my mom is a nurse and I know the addiction risks all too well!!! A CVS pharmacy employee appeared to stand idle longer today than necessary prior to administering vaccines while three of us with appts waited to be helped. (That's not counting two people without vaccine appts who were there before us.) A 10:30 am appt turned into an 11:15 am, on top of which a 10:45 received preference even though my appt time was known to the employee. Also, what use is a text check-in if the check-in is repeated at the counter as if the previous cell phone check-in had not occurred? I was sitting in my car waiting in line at the drive thru pharmacy when I started typing this review. I scheduled an appointment for 10:30am to receive a COVID-19 self swab for travel purposes. They have two drive thru lanes but only one was open. I waited here for more than 30 minutes with no end in sight. After being put on hold on the phone for 15min to check if I can pick up a kit in store and return to my car to self swab or anything else just to get it done, I was told no. The staff member did not bother to explain. I know it must have been because of precautions so at least he could have said that. To make things worse, he said "this is how it is, there's still people ahead of you so yeah". The point of an appointment system is to allow customers to return to whatever else they have planned for the day. In the end, I spent over an hour. I was irritated so I wasn't on my nicest behavior and cut the NP off as she was trying to explain self swab instructions (I work in healthcare and I was extremely late for work at that point), and I'm sorry about that. The results arrived in 48hrs through myChart but otherwise terrible experience. This CVS location should consider allocating one lane dedicated to swabbing and another lane for all other pharmacy services. read more

Im still steaming I had a 2:30 appointment at CVS for my COVID & flu vaccines. I checked on electronically. Then I stood in the vaccine line to fill out whatever paperwork & give them my insurance. They said it wasn't necessary. Then they sent me to the vaccine area. The tech asks left/right or both arms. I said both & wanted the Pfizer zaccine. She leaves, comes back & says that will be $114. I said I have Humana it should be free. She sends me to the pick up line to provide my insurance info. This line is 14 people deep. I looked at that & said out loud I'm going home. I had an appointment & shouldn't have to wait in the long line. Safeway is on the way home so I went there. Got right in. While I'm in the Safeway waiting room CVS calls me & says they're ready for me. The insurance went through. I said you told me you didn't have my insurance info. She said I'm sorry you had to wait so long but you came at a busy time. I said apologize for that remark right now. I HAD AN APPOINTMENT ! They marked my item as picked up. I tried to cancel it online because I wasnt able to pick it up. I called and was on hold for 40 minutes. I spoke with M.O. the store manager and he said my item was sitting there but that I would need to come in to return it even though they're the ones that marked it as picked up. I never came in with my ID or credit card or anything so I don't know how they could sell it like like and charge my card. When I called they refused to cancel the order despite having the item in their possession. Horrible customer service. Both the store manager and the assistant manager were so rude and unprofessional. I've honestly never had an experience like this, it just seems like a total scam. Despite the fact that it's illegal and an ADA violation, this pharmacy is refusing to fill my medication because it's a chewable medication and has to be specially ordered. I have a dysphasia disease, and don't have the ability to swallow the non-chewable version. I guess it's too much work to have to order the medications that physicians have prescribed to their patients? They didn't even inform me, or inform my doctor. The tech said that the pharmacist called me, but I don't have a voicemail or missed call, and they couldn't give me a time or date of when they "contacted me." I tried checking on my medication 3-4 days ago and was informed that it was in process and would be in later in the week, and when I tried to check again today-because I'm now completely out and NEED my medication, they first lied to me and said that the medication was not being made as a chewable as high as my dosage (it is, and is also available at two higher doses as well, I confirmed on the manufacturer website) before the tech admitted that they just won't be ordering it for me each time. So it wasn't about my dosage being too high, it was sheer laziness and lack of patient care- and again, it is illegal. This location is the only location my insurance will cover so apparently I'm just not allowed to have my medication? This is completely unacceptable. They are impacting the safety of patients. California Business and Professions Code 733: A licentiate shall not obstruct a patient in obtaining a prescription drug or device that has been legally prescribed or ordered for that patient. A violation of this section constitutes unprofessional conduct by the licentiate and shall subject the licentiate to disciplinary or administrative action by his or her licensing agency. A complaint has been filed with corporate and I'll be filing with the ADA next. You don't get to abuse disabled people and impede their access to care, it's unsafe and unethical. read more

The CDC and FDA rules say immunocompromised individuals do not need a prescription or doctor letter to receive a booster dose. This is to avoid issues with people needing to make a separate doctor appointment. Unfortunately, this CVS is still requiring a prescription. Can they? I do not know, but the public needs to be aware that they may be refused a vaccination at this location. Remember how the lighting was all weird inside and everything was all perfectly on the shelves. This place kind of reminded me of that. Since scary Kmart didn't have my makeup I stopped here because it was on the same street and on my way home. There must be a contract for makeup carriers because all of the expensive stuff was up front but Covergirl was waaaaaay in the back. They were also out of my regular pressed face powder but at least they had something comparable that I could get. This store is just weird. The customers are not as scary or skanky as Kmart or Walmart but still. Icky. My husband also told me that when CVS used to be Longs Drug they had really good prices on beer. Since CVS has taken over, the beer prices have sky rocketed. The makeup wasn't to cheap either. I'm done with CVS. I've been in here a few times recently. My daughter and I went here and we were falsely accused of stealing. After that negative experience, I still went back to have some film developed from a disposable camera. We went back to ask if our film had been developed, since we never received a call about it like we were supposed to. They asked us for the tracking number on it, which we gave them, and they told us they have no record of it anywhere and they don't have it. I was given no refund for the disposable camera that I bought either. Their prices are high and they only have one employee at the checkout. I won't be back. read more
