Didn't have the best experience coming here. I had paid for compound meds $75 a week before coming to pick it up. On the app for my medicine it said I was REQUIRED to pay before it even being mixed so I paid on the app, it told me it would be ready in 2 days. I called the pharmacy seeing if they could get it done earlier and they said unfortunately no and it would be ready when the app said. Paid on a Tuesday, got notification it was ready on Thursday (I was out of town so I came back in the following Tuesday) You would think a whole week goes by since you paid, it would be ready. No, I walk in and say I'm here to pick up. They said oh it looks like it's not been made yet. Can you come back in a few hours? I stated I drove 30 minutes just to come get this and you're telling me to come back in a couple of hours. I asked why it wasnt ready and what happened since I paid and I was there 6 days after it said "ready for pick up" and they said it must've been a system error. I told her I didn't have time to drive back and forth so if I wait how long until it's ready and I was told about an hour. So I waited in the store for a little over an hour. I didn't get any empathy from the staff, more so felt like they were annoyed, speaking to each other. I'm not sure what was said but it just felt horrible. I'm already there on the basis of battling medical stuff for years, I went out of my way to go there a week after paying just to be met with hostility and no understanding. Ultimately I got what I needed but it came with an hour wait and not kind staff and then told to have a seat because I was waiting at the counter and no one was even there.. their chairs are falling apart, why would I feel comfortable sitting there.. read more

Excellent pharmacy with outstanding service and staff. Delaney at the front desk is consistently kind, welcoming, and helpful, making every visit a positive experience and efficient. The pharmacists are knowledgeable, professional... Luke is always helpful and ensures medications are ready on time. Wait times are minimal with no long lines or delays. This is by far the best pharmacy I've been to in California. Highly recommend 5 stars! I am disabled and they go above and beyond! Staff was nice but even with an appointment, I had to wait 45 minutes for my vaccine. The pharmacy opened 15 minutes after the posted opening time too. Would not recommend this pharmacy if you are looking to get a vaccine. read more

This pharmacy does not follow its own business hours. 10 minutes past opening time and the store is locked with all the lights still off inside. There isn't a single worker. What a joke of such a crucial establishment. Will not be asking for any more prescriptions from this place. read more

The staff are polite and the location is convenient near John muir hospital in W.C. so I give them 2 stars for that. I would not recommend them for compounding since they are not very resourceful but they are probably proficient in standard prescriptions per their relatively high ratings. read more

I have a large family and we would get our prescriptions at this pharmacy, however we will not be doing business with them any longer. The pharmacy tech, has to be trained properly as she does not understand customer service and HIPAA rules. She is not experienced to be working in a pharmacy and does not understand that she is not allowed to yell out a drug description to a customer in front of other people. This is a HIPAA violation. I went to pick up a prescription and not only did she yell out the prescription, she was rude, and child-like while rolling her eyes to customers when asked a prescription questions. She seemed happy to make customers miserable. Pharmacist didn't seem to care. I left called my doctors and had all family prescriptions moved to Danville Pharmacy. The experience at Danville pharmacy was night and day. The pharmacist and pharmacy tech know what they are doing and are helpful, friendly, and more importantly know about HIPAA laws. read more

UPDATE: The owner called me immediately after I posted my review and apologized and explained that the pharmacist was working on a compounded prescription at the time and since he'd already started, he couldn't interrupt the process. I told her, if they'd informed me of that, I could have left instead of waiting and had the prescription delivered. I suggested better communication training for the clerk and she agreed they would work on it. I WILL try them again, but make sure I call ahead so the prescription is ready when I arrive. Based on other reviews, I think they're basically a good pharmacy but just need to learn how to handle unusual situations like mine. INITIAL REVIEW: I need to get my medication in a certain size pill so I can cut it in half. The major pharmacies don't have it, but the independent ones like QD do. The first time I got it, there were a few communication problems, but it was ready when I picked it up. However, they didn't enter my insurance correctly and charged me way too much. So I had to go back to take care of it. This second time for the same prescription was a disaster. The person I talked too couldn't seem to understand what I was asking for even though they had the previous one on record. My doctor sent it in on 3/13, and I talked to QD staff on 3/15 and they said it would be ready on Monday 3/18. 4 days later I went in to pick it up and they said it wasn't ready and would take 5 to 10 minutes. Well, it was almost 20. Meantime, 2 other people came in and got theirs right away. The clerk kept telling me the pharmacist was working on it, but I could hear him opening at least 6 different bottles of pills and I still didn't have mine. I kept asking and kept getting the same answer 'He's working on it right now.' HAH! Not once did anyone apologize. If you have to use this place, call ahead and make sure you're prescription is ready. Or bring a very long novel. read more

Here I sit 3 hours after Dr called in prescription. Not ready it will be 20 to 30 min. They will call me when it's ready. 30 min later a call to confirm cost. I say that is fine, the then tells me it will be 20 minutes. I get another call in 20 min saying it's ready. I come in to get it only to be told it's not ready. Wait another 10 minutes no response I go up to the counter and tell him go ask the pharmacist how much longer they tell me another 10 minutes. I will never use this compound pharmacy again What a disaster in customer service. read more

Extraordinary service from Jessica and her staff! We called them 2 minutes to closing to get a walk in Covid shot for my 82 year old neighbor. They were the only pharmacy left with Maderna boosters. Not only did they hold the pharmacy open just for my elderly neighbor, they even gave the shots without getting her out of the car, all cheerfully chatting with the lady. Qd Pharmacy in Walnut Creek took over, renamed & revamped a previous pharmacy in this location (across the street from John Muir Hospital). The place looks great, freshly remodeled and cleaned up. Looks good! More importantly the new owner and Pharmacist Jessica Q. Ly is fantastic. There are not many places around that compound but they do. They got my prescription all set, called to let me know, etc. While picking up I asked if they could do pet meds and they can. They were super helpful in discussing options and brainstorming on what I might do for my difficult dog. They LOVE dogs too. I've since emailed her the med list and she is researching further for me. I was deeply impressed by their friendliness and willingness to help. A type of customer service you do not see anymore. read more
