After getting disconnected multiple times, I called back and asked to speak with the Pharmacy Manager. I was told the Pharmacy Manager wasn't available, so I asked to speak with any manager. The manager told me he thinks the Pharmacy Manager's name was "Lau" (he spelled it) and that the pharmacist answering the phones might be "Shemma." I told him that I had already been disconnected multiple times and was just trying to get my prescription. The manager wasn't rude, but it didn't really feel like I was talking to someone who was concerned about fixing the issue. I expected a little more urgency since why are the pharmacy staff acting like they answering calls and disconnecting them on "accident". Instead, the only solution offered was to transfer me back to the pharmacy and let them know I was waiting on the phone. When someone answered, I asked if her name was Shemma. She immediately responded, "Nope," and transferred me. I was connected to Shemma. I realized she wasn't the same person that had disconnected my earlier calls because her voice sounded different from the employee who had answered before. Since Shemma stayed on the line, I decided to ask about my medication and a possible prescription transfer between Walgreens locations. I explained that my regular Walgreens told me that if this location had the medication in stock, they could request the prescription transfer. Shemma told me, "No, I can't do that. Call that Walgreens to transfer it." This completely conflicted with what I had already been told, and I felt like I was being talked over. My biggest concern is still the employee who initially answered the phone. After one of the disconnections, I called back and asked for her name first because I wanted to know who was disconnecting the calls. I figured if the call got disconnected again, at least I would know who I had spoken with. When I asked for her name, she responded, "Sure," and the call was disconnected. This is another reason I strongly recommend asking for the employee's name at the beginning of the call. I feel like people are less tough when they know you know who they are. If you need to follow up, file a complaint, or reference a specific interaction, having the employee's name can make that process a lot easier. With that being said, I don't need my prescription to be filled here anymore. Goodluck to ya if you have to call this pharmacy. read more

Often out of things they let you order online. This causes delays with not being able to find products. Skeleton staff, meaning there are usually only one or two people working in the front. This is the worst Walgreen's I've ever encountered. My prescription was sent and they did nothing until I called to ask about it (after waiting on hold for 23 minutes). They then stated that they don't have the medication and it's too late to order it before Monday, four days later. Had they processed it when they received it, it would have been early enough to order it for tomorrow. When I asked why they didn't do that, the answer was "because you didn't call to ask about it until now." What is the point of having prescriptions sent to the pharmacy if they don't do anything until you call and ask about it? The only reason to come to this Walgreens pharmacy is the 24 hour convenience. Other that than that i would pick a different location. This pharmacy is often understaffed so the lines are really long. The thing that is really a problem is that several times a doctor sends over the prescription but they don't start filling it until I call in. If it's urgently needed I always have to monitor and call in to make sure they are working on it. Another issue is that this location is often out of supplies for common medication such as amoxicillin. They say it's a different dosage and they are out, for example if it's 10mg of something they say it's not in stock, but the doctor say they can just give 2x 5mg of the same medicine - but the pharmacy will not do that. read more

Had a large print sent to this store and showed up an hour after it was supposed to be "ready." I stand by the photo counter for about 5 minutes. No one comes. I go to the register and the ladys says "wait a minute." I realize she can't do anything but all I want is for her to call someone. I see people in aisles, I'm still unclear on why I'm just standing here like a moron. I finally go to one of the people in the aisle and she goes to help. She can't find my photo. I see her looking through the stack and I can tell none of those are mine. I tell her that but she keeps looking at every one. I see the back of a photo my size on the floor by the machine. She finally goes over to that and sure enough, it's mine. Just sitting there on the floor. She has to cut it some (and of course it's a terrible cut I have to fix when I get it). This kind of "service" is just not acceptable. And I shouldn't be standing by the photo counter for ten minutes when there are employees all over the place. Then even worse, is the guy asking for donations just outside the front door. There's no way around this guy. I am extremely disappointed in his capabilities to help any customer even on a basic level, let alone a shift lead level. I came in to do a quick stop for my Shopkick app to earn some points by scanning items and was a bit worried when I noticed that the items I needed to scan (vitamins) were locked behind glass. I felt so bad asking for help, but I pressed the button and within seconds a lovely woman named Annalisa showed up and pulled every item I needed. She was so friendly, helpful, and honestly provided the best customer service experience I've had in quite some time - purely just by being friendly and kind. The only redeeming quality of this pharmacy is the fact that it is open 24 hours a day. But that's where the pros stop. I was trying to get antibiotics for my son this past Sunday after visiting urgent care. Called this pharmacy while i was driving over to make sure it was received and in process. I was told "we don't process prescriptions until you are here in person." What? But ok....45 minutes later finally left with the meds We needed. Had to go again today for my daughter after visiting urgent care and having it called in for her. Stand in line. Once I get to the counter, I'm told they don't have the prescription yet and I need to wait a full hour before I can expect them to see it in their system. Again, What? It's already been 30 minutes. A full hour for you to know it exists when I know my Dr. faxed it before I left? Fast forward another HOUR and I'm finally leaving with my prescription. It's infuriating to me how slow they move, how much they seem to not care about being prompt and how slow the line moves when there is one.
