I went in today to get a car wash paid the $16 and entered the car wash. The machine did one pass and covered my car and soap and then it just stopped working. I sat there waiting for five minutes, hoping that it would wake back up And never did. So I exited the car wash and drove back around to the front desk where the cashier lady was out front. I rolled down my window and told her the car wash wasn't working and she just argued with me endlessly and called me a liar. She refused to give me a refund. As I left, I saw another car in the car wash with its door open and the driver getting out. The machine must still have been frozen. I'll never go back to the Chevron again. gas stations in pleasant hill tend to be smaller, so is their snack shop. not surprising most stations have car washes. the cashier is very courteous, cool, helpful. snack shop has limited self serve drinks, no alcohol, just sodas, teas, energy drinks, snacks, chips, didn't see any prepped food. didn't look closely. just wanted to get in and out quickly out of shop's small space. brew: java guys (m. 1.89) 100% columbian -tasted good, it sputtered out enough to fill my cup. -not harsh, nothing exciting about this brew, very sip-able, smooth. read more

Air for tires is supposed to be free by law but this place charges for air. Not only that but their air machine doesn't work correctly. This car wash never has soap. The cheap wash is $12 and the deluxe is $15. I would say 8/10 times they don't have soap. On top of that the dryer doesn't work at full capacity either. I hate it because this is the most convenient and closest to me, but it's a rip off and the owner refuses to care to fix it because they know people will continue to pay. The staff is friendly, the store is always clean, although it's not the biggest gas station "in size" , they have a broad variety of snacks, drinks, they even stack extra surplus. Lastly MY FAVORITE!! Their Car Wash cleans my car so well, I haven't been anywhere else since I discovered this one! HORRIBLE. Do not come here for a quick car wash. 1st red flag was that their left side dryer in the car wash is broken. They're still making people pay full price when their machine is broken. I just came back from a quick trip down to LA for family and had bug guts and dirt all over my car. I went in the car wash with bug guts and dirt and drive out the car wash with the same. This is ridiculous!! I payed $12 for a full car wash to get my car cleaned and my car looks the same as it went in! I pulled to the side by the gas pumps to take pictures of what was left after the car wash, went inside and showed him the pictures. The answer I got was that this was normal and if I didn't want dirt and bug guts on my car, I would have to go somewhere that does detailing and will hand wash my car. What's the point of this car wash then??? Just for the fun of it?? He said because I wasn't happy, he'll refund me. I payed $12 and he gave me a $10 dollar bill. Never coming back. Really happy to find some cheap gas here yesterday. ($3.69/gal) We drifted in with the car running on forced electric mode (we're really bad about waiting until the last minute to put gas in our cars). We were using a Visa gift card from our wedding (can't believe we still had one left) so we had to go inside to use it. It was an easy process since the card had already been activated. The employee was friendly and there was no wait/line. The garbage can by our pump was empty and the soapy water bin was full. Nice :) Almost 14 gallons of gas in the tank! First of all, when I was in line for the car wash, the person in the wash ahead of me go stuck. The car wash sprayed her car with soap and then stopped working. There was a really long delay and finally the clerk came to reset the thing but the lady had to drive away with a soapy car! I couldn't back out because there were cars behind me. Finally I paid my fare and suddenly the clerk tried to rip me off! I paid for a more expensive wash but the clerk set it to the cheap wash. This Chevron has a deal with the Safeway across the road for 20 cents off per gallon if you use your Safeway discount card at the pump. That sounds great at first, but then you realize that the Rotten Robbie gas station just down the street is selling gas for exactly 20 cents less per gallon, no Safeway card required. On top of that, I attempted to use my check card there (I have never had a problem anywhere, ever, for many, many years with my check card) but it would not process and said "See cashier". The cashier said I had to run my check card as a debit ATM card, which costs me extra money with my bank. I said I would take my business elsewhere and was pleased to find the Rotten Robbie was exactly 20 cents cheaper than the Chevron, and they had no problem at all with my check card. I now have no reason to ever go to this Chevron again and will be telling everyone I know that lives nearby what happened. read more

Avoid! I was mistreated by the cashier. Insults and name calling was totally unprofessional. The next day I called in and left a message for the manager Brad. It's over two weeks later and the multiple messages I left with Julio to have brad contact me have all failed. I was harassed by their employee and then completely ignored. Don't buy your gas here if you need to use the restroom. They don't allow you to use the restroom, even if you just filled your tank with their gas and had your car washed there. Otherwise, their gas is as good as anyone else's. Just I word to the wise. read more
