I was getting my special order prescriptions at another independent pharmacy and had a number of problems. Then they could no longer get the product, so I contacted CareLink. I was impressed from the first call. They responded quickly and were able to get what I needed so I immediately transferred everything over to them. A while ago, my family switched our prescriptions to CareLink, because we had grown frustrated with the service at big-chain pharmacies. We are very glad we made the change. At CareLink, when your doctor sends a prescription, the staff quickly fills it and lets you know it's ready. When you go to pick it up, there's no long line to wait through. The pharmacist is always available to answer questions or offer advice. If there is an insurance issue, they will have called you and worked toward a solution before you arrive, so you're not surprised by a coverage denial or unexpectedly high bill. And the entire staff is friendly and pleasant. In short, the experience is better in every way than at CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid. CareLink Pharmacy is MY pharmacy and it's the only pharmacy I've ever loved. I live in Rossmoor, Walnut Creek; I've never liked big, corporate pharmacies; they act as if their motto is: "Let's wait in line!" That's no better than the motto of the Rossmoor Safeway which is: "We have all day!" My pharmacy used to be Rite-Aid, just outside Rossmoor. When Rite-Aid closed, I tried CVS, across the street, but they wouldn't take my insurance. The next closest pharmacy to Rossmoor is CareLink, in the first shopping strip down the hill from the Rossmoor Shopping Center. The owner is Nahla Alabbas, a beautiful, young woman with a pharmacy doctorate who started her own pharmacy. CareLink pharmacy is small, personal, modern, efficient, and professional. Nahla has hired the staff she needs but, often, when I walk in, Nahla is there and she calls out: "Hi, Diddo!" I'm sorry that I need a pharmacy but, as long as I have to have one, I'm happy that I have Nahla and her staff to take care of me ... and not keep me waiting. My brother referred my to this pharmacy and now I don't know that I'll go anywhere else. My mom and I both got our covid boosters there today. We walked up to the counter and were immediately greeted and handed our forms to fill out. And within a couple of minutes of handing them in, we received our boosters by the loveliest and most accommodating pharmacist. Afterwards, during the mandatory 15 minute observation period (to ensure there are no reactions to the vaccine), we watched about 7 patients walk in to either pick up prescriptions, purchase items, or get vaccinated, and each of them was helped by one the very professional, friendly and kind staff members there. CareLink! Where do I begin? From my 1st calling around to locate a curbside flu shot location for my husband before Covid to the complications with chain pharmacies with getting his covid shots to Carelink calling me back! They must've taken my name & # & when they called back I luckily jumped at the opportunity to get my 1st as well as my most recent covid shot there & flu shot and this last week my husband also got his shingles, pneumonia & tetanus shots at CareLink. The BEST ! I suffered through years of poor and impersonal service at CVS pharmacy (outside of Rossmoor in W. Creek) until friends in Rossmoor urged me to switch to CareLink. The personalized service (a small dedicated staff), the home delivery of meds, and everything else has made the medical part of my life so much easier. No more waiting in line at CVS Rossmoor and no more phone calls to CVS when I am put on hold for 10 minutes ! The pharmacist at CareLink notified CVS to transfer my prescriptions over to CareLink and presto it was done. I also like supporting small local businesses. The drug prices were the same as CVS, except a blood thinner, which the CareLink pharmacist suggested I keep getting at CVS since she could not quite beat the price. I highly recommend CareLink Pharmacy. After my Mom's second heart surgery, she wasn't up to managing all her medications. I was managing her refills, and coming in from out of town monthly to put her meds into those weekly pill boxes for her, but that was still difficult for her so she wasn't taking them regularly. Then I found CareLink Pharmacy. Now Mom gets her meds delivered monthly in individual blister packs, and CareLink manages the refills. Not only is this a huge help to me managing my Mom's care, but more importantly, the blister packs were so much more convenient that Mom finally took her medications regularly, which helped her improve!! and led to the doctor reducing the medications! The service from Nahla and her team is excellent. If there is a change to my Mom's medications I make a quick phone call and speak to a live person who immediately updates my Mom's record. Also they can add vitamins and other supplements to the pill packs so Mom doesn't have to take those separately. And I love the fact that they actually know who I am and know my Mom! It's not the impersonal service you get from a chain pharmacy. While the chain pharmacy was just another headache for me to deal with, CareLink is a partner in caring for my Mom. I absolutely credit them with helping Mom improve. The best part is now when I visit Mom I can have a lovely visit without playing caregiver all the time! I was looking for a pharmacy that would do outdoor flu vaccines and after numerous calls to the many big chains that all said no, I happened upon CareLink and they were the only one offering this. Everyone at the pharmacy was so nice and accommodating, and the owner, Nahla, was so nice. In fact, she had the softest touch for a vaccine I had ever had. I could not even feel it. Both my husband and myself received the flu vaccine from her outside.
