The pasta was fresh, al dente, and delicious. Service was great too. I would definitely go back to try their other pastas.

Saw they started doing online orders from their instagram, but of course the night we try to order the online ordering wasn't working. We tried to call but no one answered and then we tried again maybe 5 mins later and someone answered thank goodness. I got the gnocchi with fresh cream and prosciutto and my husband got the garlic shrimp tomato cream. They look pretty small but it actually filling. Both pasta's were delicious! Mine was $22 and my husband's was $23. The only comment I have is that the lowest tip they had on the screen was 18% so I ended up going $55 for the 2 pasta's.

Spur of the moment early dinner. Out and for some reason we wanted Italian. Normally haaaate the parking at McCully SC...but we got lucky and got a good spot. Took the elevator to the 2nd and baby got to press the buttons and enjoy the view. Restaurant was empty...but it was early. Place is super cold but not sure if b/c no action going on. We got the burrata. Super good but I hate honey. Luckily hubs and baby love honey. Tomatoes were flambeed and baby ate most. Also got the corn ribs. Tasty. Baby grinded. I got the carbonara. Yum. So tasty. Hubs got the Bolognese. Yum. Hubs liked the pasta. I did too but was a little heavy for my taste. It was cooked really well. Baby ate the ground beef but seemed to like the carbonara better. We also got garlic bread. Bread nothing special but it was sooo garlicky that it made it special! Love me the garlic. Baby said too spicy. Wish the menu was bigger. I would go back but not frequently since there isn't much variety and id probs just have to get the same thing every time.

Located in the McCully Shopping Center, this quaint, fresh pasta making kitchen is the perfect spot if your body needs some carbo loading! In my head I was thinking ok, this is Japanese owned. The flavors will be subtle and the pasta will be delicate. Surprisingly albeit pleasantly, it was just the opposite- the flavors were bold and the pasta was perfectly al dente. It had that certain chew that's just nonexistent in a dry pasta. I ordered the garlic shrimp tomato cream set. Was it rich? Yes! Was it heavy, yesss. But it was absolutely delicious! The garlic bread had the pronounced garlic taste that lingers for hours. I don't know whether that's good or bad. The restaurant was nearly empty. The waitress was attentive. I hope they do well because the food is really good when you got that craving!

Gnocchi bolognese, squid ink with shrimp, carbonara, garlic shrimp tomato cream pasta. All very delicious.

It's our first time here and we'll definitely come back! The pasta is homemade from gnocchi to squid ink. Their pizza and appetizers are also delicious. Tou can pair with their wine or beer. They even have gelato and tiramisu for dessert. The service is amazing! They hold the door open as you exit to thank you again and bid you good bye. Loved everything and highly recommend!

Came here to dine in on a Wednesday night after work and enjoyed the food. We've been here before but haven't been since the renovation where it is more like their own restaurant. Small restaurant with maybe 10 tables and counter seating but since it was off hours it was pretty empty. I had the garlic shrimp tomato cream and my boyfriend ordered the carbonara. We also had the corn ribs as an appetizer. Both pastas were really good and pasta was al dente. Corn ribs were interesting- never had something like it, seasoned well but might be better with some type of dipping sauce. Overall food was good just a little on the pricy side for the portions. Also a little disappointing that the garlic bread is a separate charge and isn't included with the pasta.

Needed to carbo load before the marathon and this hit the spot. I started with a salad for health and I tell you my life was changed when I tried granola in a salad for the first time. I also got the homemade pasta with hearty bolognese sauce. Ingredients for both dishes are so fresh which made the meal that much better.

As you walk in, you are greeted with a warm smile, and the ambiance is bright and clean. They have bar seating around the cooking station and a handful of tables. They serve Italian food with an Asian flair. My wife ordered the Carbonero and it was delicious. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente. It was however missing an egg yolk as pictured in the photo on the menu. I ordered the surf and turf, ribeye steak cooked perfectly medium and huge shrimps smothered in lots of garlic, and grilled too perfection. They have plenty of parking, although the parking stalls are very narrow. If you drive a large vehicle, I would highly suggest finding street parking.

What can I say? I'll give you the High Road, the Low Road and the Middle of the Road: HIGH ROAD 1. Hand made pasta and gnocchi (5 stars) 2. Taste of food (4 stars) 3. BYOB 4. Fast service (tell them up front how you want your dishes delivered or they might bring it to you all at once! Go figure) LOW ROAD 1. My steak was medium well to well done after I SPECIFICALLY asked for Medium area. The least they could have done was give us a medium preparation. (I am a steak snob.... shame on them) 2. You need to ask for extra napkins and eating utensils. 3. Service tenable at best MIDDLE OF THE ROAD 1. Taste of the dishes we had were pretty good. The sauce of the gnocchi was a bit thick but tasted okay... 2. Reasonably priced They are located on the 2nd floor of McCully Shopping Center more toward the west side. They share a spot with a Poke Shop.... If you blink you might miss the restaurant entrance. The parking is a B***H! So beware and also take note of the entrance and exits before attempting to get in to the shopping center property. Final analogy: I'd return but I'd uber or get a ride rather than to hassle with the parking. I'd return because the taste of the food was pretty good and the homemade pasta was excellent. I know now how to order to prevent the dishes to come out to our table all at once. It's BYOB (not sure about the corkage) and most important- make a reservation as space is limited. If you walk in... you may end up waiting.

Service is wonderful! Waiter was super nice. Service was speedy. Food came out rather quick. Was so excited to try based on all the social media but was a little disappointed with the texture of the pasta. Was very "wheaty"--kind of thick and no chew to it. Sauces were flavorful -- Carbonara sauce was great with the garlic bread! Bolognese with basil pesto was okay. Honey pizza was delish! Steak salad was yummy. Apple sorbet tasted like frozen applesauce. But prices were little steep for portion size. $3.50 for a small piece of garlic bread is rather crazy. $14.50 for honey pizza that only has 4 appetizer size pieces.

Super small and cozy restaurant. All handmade pasta, absolutely amazing. Also pleasantly surprise that the steak was good. I forgot to take a picture.

This hidden gem on the second floor of the McCully Shopping Center is dishing out house-made pasta , basil pesto gnocchi, garlic shrimp tomato cream spaghetti, , and bolognese... that's straight fire. Everything is made fresh, and it's BYOB so bring your favorite bottle and make it a night! It's a cozy little spot, with maybe like 7 tables and a bar seating. Perfect for a weekday neighborhood date night. Service, was outstanding. We had: Melted Cheese Spicy Spaghetti Garlic Shrimp Tomato Cream Spaghetti Basil Pesto Gnocchi Bolognese with Basil Pesto Sauce Our favs were the gnocchi and bolognese with pesto PRO TIP: During Happy Hour 5-7pm ,for just $2 more, enjoy a salad and focaccia to your pasta.. upgrade to garlic bread for just $1 more

Freshly made Al dente pasta with rich cheese sauce. Proteins are separate from the price of the pasta and are a bit overpriced. Interesting concept, Japanese inspire Italian pasta dishes! Lots of parking and good service. Everything is made fresh in house ready to order so it can take a couple of minutes.

    Do they serve gluten-free pasta?

We had dinner there on Jan 6. We were told free bread and free gelato. Is that correct? We didn't get any bread and I paid for 4 gelato. Mahalo!

You should ould have gotten one free roll and one scoop gelato per entree. At least that's what we got at dinner.

I'm sorry to ask, but do you ever make gluten free pasta or are there N gluten free options for Italian food lovers?

I would really love to know the answer to this too!!! Everything looks so good, but I can't eat anything on the menu

Is it byob? What is the corkage fee?

Yes you are welcomed to have BYOB without any corkage charge at moment. After Dec 21st we will start to provide beer and wine.

Our food was tasty, timely, and hot. Our server correctly recommended the vodka sauce chicken pasta and the grandma pizza, which were both amazing. Although the pizza was a bit pricey, $31, it can easily feed a family due to its large size. For the pasta, the noodles were cooked to a perfect Al dente and the sauce was out of this world. The grandma pizza, similar to Boston's spinach and garlic pizza, was AMAZING! Easily tops Boston's version because of the Alfredo sauce that they use as the base. The service was impeccable, efficient, and friendly. The staff were very polite and attentive throughout our visit. If you're looking for a better alternative for exceptional Italian cuisine in Hawaii Kai, Repetti's is your place. Removed from the hustle and bustle, and always welcoming and good.

With Onda Pasta, I'm ONDA way to pasta greatness…read more I first learned about Onda Pasta during a Yelp Elite virtual pasta making class a few months back, and gosh, Andrea serves a quality product. The base is with semolina flour, eggs, and flour; simple enough, right? But his pasta has more depth to it, and the fact that it's homemade shows. Some varieties include squid ink pasta, spaghetti, and rigatoni. Find him and his small, humble team at the Aloha Farm Lovers Kaka'ako market on Saturday mornings from 8 am-12 pm, and the Kailua one on Sunday mornings from 8 am-12 pm. They are enthusiastic, and more than happy to recommend pasta varieties based on what kind of pasta you desire to whip up!

Fresh, homemade pasta, and unique, authentic sauces. I think I just died and went to pasta heaven…read more Andrea is a super cool guy, setting up shop every weekend at the Kakaako and Kailua farmers market, selling his homemade pasta dishes. On today's farmers market adventure, my sister, my mom, and I set out for some cool local finds and came across Onda Pasta while looking for lunch. Andrea is super knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. We talked a bunch about pasta and I was surprised to find out that he makes everything himself! I purchased his mafaldine pasta (uncooked) and corn pesto sauce. Upon returning home, I was so excited to try out my purchase. The entire process took less than 10 minutes. Talk about a quick and easy meal! Andrea suggested I bring the pasta water to a boil and let the pasta cook for four minutes and that's exactly what I did. After letting the noodles cool I taste tested the noodles (of course) and they were perfect. Al dente! The perfect amount of chewy and taste. While boiling the noodles, I heated up the pasta sauce. The corn pesto was the perfect amount of sweet and savory. At the farmers market, Andrea suggested we add bits of crispy bacon and cheese to garnish our dish with. I unfortunately had neither bacon nor cheese so I made it my own and garnished it with baby tomatoes and basil from my garden. And let me tell you, he does not skimp on the pasta or sauce. One container of pasta and one container of sauce fed myself, my grandma, and mom comfortably. All in all, if you're looking for a quick, homemade, cook at home pasta meal, Onda Pasta is where it's at!

After we were seated and had already ordered drinks, appetizers, and soup, a manager came to our table and informed us that we only had one hour to dine. I don't recall seeing any notice of a time limit when I made the reservation. Being interrupted mid-meal to be told this was disappointing and disruptive. My partner was especially bothered, as it made the evening feel rushed and took away from what was meant to be a meaningful night. Another odd issue was that my entrée arrived about five minutes before my partner's. I ended up sharing mine with him until his dish came out, which added to the awkward timing of the meal. That said, our server was amazing--attentive, kind, and clearly doing their best despite the circumstances. If there is a dining time limit, it should be clearly communicated before confirming a reservation so guests can decide whether it works for them. Unfortunately, the lack of notice significantly impacted our Valentine's Day experience.
