$9 but totally worth it! It's imported from Italy

Came in to buy a bottle of soda, walked away with a bag of desserts! Their tiramisu is a must. It's $9 for a piece, but totally worth it! According to the employee, who was very friendly, it's imported from Italy. I'm definitely returning to try the pasta one day!

This is a small place that appears to be a spot for the locals. It is clean and staff are friendly . We ordered a pepperoni pizza and the orchiette pasta with meat balls, and garlic bread. The bread came first and it was slightly greasy and some burnt marks on the bottom of the bread. The portion was small. The pasta came barely warm and the ricotta swirls were ice cold. The meat balls were not homemade but tasty. Although the dish was cold, the marinara sauce was the star of the show. That was definitely homemade. The portion was a nice size. The pizza that my husband ordered was mediocre. He said the flavor was lacking. We were there around 6pm and it was busy. No one came by to see how the food was and they had initially delivered the garlic bread to another table. Service was a bit slow. However, I would say give this place a try. The marinara sauce is worth trying. We are visiting from out of state, or else I would give them a second try.

The space is undeniably cute and the presentation is beautiful, but unfortunately the pastas and pizzas didn't leave much of an impression. The flavors were flat and the noodles were just okay. Nothing really stood out. As much as I hate to say it, it's the kind of pasta you could probably make better at home. I do appreciate the quality of the ingredients, which were clearly fresh and well sourced.

First timer! They are open for your typical lunch, dinner, supper hours. Tucked away into the corner of Manoa Marketplace near the USPS PO, lots of parking available nearby. Ambiance was nice. Since we opted to dine in versus take out, we were served at our seats. Inddoor and outdoor seating available. Bugs inside FYI. Staff were nice. Tables arnt big enough to accommodate more than three plates at a time. Maybe just 1 pizza. Food itself is delicious!! This place is all housemade sauces, pizza crusts, and breads! Everything was flavorful, fresh, and just the right portion! Gooey cheese and toasted garlic bread on the side - this place satiated my cravings!

First time dining here. We got early / lucky parking at 5:00pm A few people were already seated. Our server Ian, was very kind and helpful. We chose our 2-top table and got seated right away. Looked over the Menu and got some suggestions from our server. We started with the Meatball Al Sugo appetizer. Really great meatballs with tasty garlic bread. Had to order 2nd order of garlic bread! Yum! 14" PIZZA : Cannibale : tomato sauce, mozzarella, beef pepperoni, beef sausage, beef meatballs, olives, mushrooms, bell pepper, Olive oil. PASTA : Portobello Mushroom Ravioli. White garlic mushroom cream sauce. PASTA : Beef Short Rib Tortellacci : Short-rib filled Tortellini-style pasta, marinara sauce. Service & Presentation was Excellent. Flavors were good and it's definitely one our Top 5 fave Italian places on Oahu. We also met the owner Franchesco as he was entering! We had fun talking story and Reuben showed him Magic. :) Look forward to the next time we visit! MAHALO!

This little restaurant wasn't bad, but wasn't good in my opinion either. There is a small parking lot which is convenient since that area tends to be busy. The servers were friendly and accommodating. There were two small tables outside for outdoor seating which was enjoyable. Now onto the food. While there was nothing bad, for the prices, I didn't find anything special about any of the dishes and nothing stood out. I got the bruschetta, and asked for the arugula on the side. While it didn't taste bad, it just sat heavy and didn't feel fresh. In my opinion the dishes looked better than they tasted. Same with the meatballs and the linguini bomba with mushrooms. While personally don't think I'll be back, I appreciate the variety this restaurant brings to the area.

Aroma Italia first timer! Diamond Head is a bit out of the way for me, but it was well worth the drive out. I would recommend making a reservation in advance. My friends and I went to Aroma Italia on a Sunday night - we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was pretty busy with two large groups. They were still able to squeeze us in by putting two outdoor tables together, and we were eventually able to move inside once the restaurant cleared out. Overall, my impression of this place was really good. The servers were friendly and attentive, and most importantly the food was impressive. My bf and I shared garlic bread, a large pizza and pasta. We had a few slices of leftover pizza because the portions are really generous (especially for the large size pizza). I couldn't choose whether I liked the pizza or pasta more, they were both equally good! Only criticism is the parking is always difficult on Monserrat. Hope to get lucky like we did in the small lot in front or street parking.

My boyfriend and I were craving pasta and stumbled upon this restaurant and were pleasantly delighted how delicious it was! Though the dishes may look simple, the flavors are delectable and filling. We ordered for to go and they were able to get our order ready in a swift manner. My boyfriend got the veggie pasta primavera and I got the Gnocchi Gorgonzola. Surprisingly the veggie pasta was my favorite. The slickness really brightened the dish and the veggies brought some freshness in the dish. The Gnocchi Gorgonzola was rich and creamy and the gnocchis were fluffy. Absolutely delicious! There were many diners around the time we picked up and many different dishes were being served. We will definitely be back to try the other items on their menu.

Just at the edge of Waikiki, Aroma Italia was significantly more mellow and reasonably priced than what you'd expect to find closer to the beach, which was most welcome. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a calm atmosphere, quiet music, and a great aroma - this place lives up to its name! We ordered the mozzarella pesto garlic bread as an appetizer, followed by a large pepperoni pizza. Both were excellent. The dough was the perfect balance of chewy and crispy without being too greasy or falling apart. The toppings were all fresh and delicious. Considering the quality of food and the location, the price felt like a steal - under $40 for an appetizer, dinner and a tip. If you need a change of pace meal from all the great Hawaiian food, this place is a must visit.

Took myself on a date! Watch The Pitt if you haven't!

The La Bomba is bomb! If you are getting it to go ask for the burrata on the side just because it does make the middle of the pizza a little soggy. The inside of the restaurant was busy, but I called in an order and it was done in 15 minutes!

Aroma Italia is a cute, quaint Italian restaurant inside the strip mall of Monsarat. This restaurant is BYOB so be sure to bring your favorite bottle of wine. I brought my boyfriend here for his first time a couple weeks ago and we were so impressed by how crowded it was around 6:30PM. We walked-in and was sat after five minutes of waiting, but seeing how crowded it can get, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation before coming in. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and ordered the salmon carbonara and linguine alle vongole. The meatballs were moist with lots of flavor and the garlic bread that came with is paired so well! The only complaint I have about this dish was that it was less than warm when we got it. I loved my salmon carbonara, I had it before and had to get it again. Very creamy with generous servings of salmon. My boyfriend ate all of his linguine, but he said it lacked flavor. Overall, Aroma Italia is a great place to grab lunch or dinner. There are a few tweaks to make, but we will definitely be returning.

My family and I was craving Italian food and wanted to check this place out from the positive reviews. We came at 7:00 and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, they only have a few tables inside. Make sure to make reservations if you don't want to wait! La Bomba Pizza ($31) - 8/10, I love the thin crust , and the burrata it came with, the only gripe was that the price is expensive for one pizza... Linguine chicken Alfredo ($22)- 6/10, not a big fan of the sauce and was not as reminiscent of Alfredo in my opinion. Not memorable. Portion was okay. Linguine meatballs ($22)- 7.5/10, the Marinara sauce was light and seemed more water down than the other marinara sauces I have tried. I really enjoyed the meatballs. Portion was okay. Tiramisu ($9) -9/10, I love tiramisu and this place was delicious for it. However, the mascarpone cream was frozen and not the creamy texture it should be. Overall, It's a decent Italian joint with good classics but I'm not sure if I would return again as it was on the more expensive side and portions were not that great. The parking here is also horrible as there's only a few slots shared by other establishments in this strip.

Not too sweet, with apple banana and creamy peanut goodness in the center. On the Miopastalogy side, we ordered: 1) The Special: Salmon ikura cream pasta- a beautifully cooked fetucine- "light on the cream" which made for a nicely coated but not too creamy white sauce with salmon flakes, mushrooms, spinach, capers and a dollop of ikura. Mom and aunty loved this. 2) Shoyu butter pasta- their most popular pasta also el dente, a light shoyu with bacon, mushrooms, spinach, katsuo bushi, and a pad of butter, sprinkled with nori and chili flakes over spaghetti. This was the first time I saw that in a restaurant and was immediately impressed. We put in our orders and we were served a spinach salad that came with our lunch order. We also looked at their dinner menu and ordered the Garlic Bread. I ordered the Carbonara and my friend ordered the Garlic Shrimp Tomato Cream. You can immediately taste the difference with fresh pasta; it's tender, slightly chewy, and perfectly holds onto the sauce. The carbonara sauce was silky and glossy, coating every strand without feeling heavy. The guanciale was flavorful, adding just the right amount of saltiness, and the Pecorino gave it that sharp, savory kick. The black pepper tied everything together beautifully. It was rich but balanced and comforting. You can tell care went into every step of the dish. I ate the entire plate. It was fun breaking the yolk into my pasta. The best thing about this restaurant is definitely the views. To dine beach side and catch a sunset, it was a photogenic spot to have a meal for sure. The food left a little bit to be desired though. Keep in mind it is attached to a hotel so not only was our expectations lower but we knew going it was going to be a pricy meal regardless. We started with their chips and rainbow caviar dip, which we added the ossetra caviar for an additional $20. The dip was tasty but going for the extra caviar isn't a need to have. For the mains we shared a couple of dishes: the fennel sausage pasta and the seared local fish. Both were recommendations from our server as best sellers. I didn't find there to much stand out flavors in either dish though. The pasta was fine, cooked al dente, but the sauce was bit lacking. The seared local fish was tasty, but the portions were tiny. We ended up adding salt to both dishes. I think for the price point, we didn't think the flavor and value matched at all. The server we had was great though. She was super nice and answered all our questions. Food came out timely, and we never felt rushed throughout our dinner experience. Not factored into my rating but just an observation. This is a spot where people are going to take a lot of pictures. Totally understandable, however, we had a group of people taking multiple pictures with flash for nearly 20 minutes straight. Definitely distracted from the dining experience.
