Wow perfect blend of reasonable prices, generous portions, and tasty food. Service was good too. Don't have anything bad to say about this place. Pasta dishes have noodles cooked el dente, sauces not overly strong or too creamy. Salads are crisp and made with fresh veggies. Credit goes to the chef for cooking of the meats too. Asked for medium New York steak it about right.. can't help the edges a little on med well side. Desserts were great too....all not too sweet and made the traditional way. Hope the restaurant keeps up the good work. This is the superior choice to another unnamed established restaurant that serves similar food.

Hot and fresh baked bread. Your choice of butter or vinegar and oil.

It was a bit slow probably from the rain. It's OK since it was easy to get a table. Kai was our waitress and she was helpful with answering questions about the menu. The fresh bread was served nice and hot with butter or vinegar and oil. I usually just use butter but decided to try the vinegar and oil. That was a really good decision on my part. It was really good. I was surprised. For those of you who have had it before know what I'm talking about. It was like a light grape jelly. The bread with the oil and vinegar was so good i got another loaf. Yum. We decided to get the clams casino for our appetizer. That was winners. It was really delicious. Fresh Manila clams in a broth of butter, white wine, bacon, fresh spinach, mushroom, onions, and tomato. That's from the menu. All I know is that all of that put together was really ono. I wish I still had some more bread to soak up the sauce. Lol She chose the shrimp and scallop scampi. I chose the shrimp and scallop alla spinach. The shrimp and scallops were served with fresh spinach, bacon and mushrooms in a garlic butter white wine sauce. It was so delicious. I know i wanna go back again. For dessert we were going to split a mud pie but unfortunately they were out. Sigh. Well three for three is pretty good. Well not pretty good. It was really great. Parking is on the Mauka side right after you pass the restaurant headed toward diamond head. (Left turn) It was pretty quiet with only two other tables occupied.

    No bone marrow :(

Weekly office lunch was decided for Italian so we made a large take out order same day pick up at La Ciccia. Service was extremely kind and fast. Ambience is nice quiet and modern seating. Food was absolutely delicious! Pastas were the highlight as everyone got something different but were all equally impressed. Highlights go to the kinoko pasta and the meatball linguini. Price is fairly reasonable. I would have gave five stars but unfortunately I ordered the bone marrow and it came out looking like the attached picture. It was over cooked and only had enough marrow for one bite. The flavor was off putting and I was extremely disappointed with what I got for the price I paid. I love bone marrow and always get it when I see it on the menu. However this experience was probably the worse bone marrow I had. I will come back as I'd like to try other things on their menu such as the escargot and the other culinary fusion pasta dishes that look tasty.

La Ciccia offers a unique take on Italian cuisine with some fusion elements, making it a great place for a casual lunch, brunch, or a laid-back dinner. We dined here for a laid-back, casual upscale dinner for my mom's birthday, and I thought it was a great spot for birthday vibes. FOOD: 8/10 SERVICE: 8/10 AMBIANCE: 9/10 FOOD: 8/10 The food here was hearty and flavorful. The menu has a good variety of classic Italian dishes with creative twists, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. While not every dish completely blew me away, the quality was still very good overall with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. The food was served piping hot, which I always appreciate. SERVICE: 8/10 Service was friendly and welcoming. The staff was attentive. Nothing negative stood out, just room for that extra level of polish. AMBIANCE: 9/10 I really enjoyed the ambiance here. It's cozy, inviting, and perfect for both a casual meal with friends or a relaxed date night. The space feels warm and comfortable without feeling too crowded or overwhelming. Parking can be a bit limited depending on the time of day, but the location itself is easy to find. There is a parking lot located around the corner as well.

1 toasted marshmallow cappuccino delicious, and 1 Carmel cappuccino!

Today we tried La Ciccia for the first time and were so glad we did! So from 7-11 AM they serve coffee and you can even bring your own food during that time. After 11 AM they serve their Italian food! Will definitely be coming back to try but the customer service was great and coffee was great! One Carmel cappuccino and a toasted marshmallow cappuccino delicious Nice and cozy ambiance with jazz music for background. Love this place.

La Ciccia has amazing pastas and desserts with the best service around. I feel like this restaurant is very underrated for having such delicious and unique dishes like their AMAZING Kinoko Pasta, which has sautéed shimeji mushroom with bacon, topped with shiso and green onions. Their lasagna is also one of my favorites, and their complimentary bread is so fresh and fluffy. Vibe: The restaurant is really big and spacious -- the perfect place to grab lunch with coworkers or have dinner with the family. The service is always top notch and friendly. Restrooms are located in the back near the kitchen. Parking: There is a free parking lot located next to the restaurant that can get busy during meal times, but usually always has stalls available.

Second time here in a month. Docked a star because we while we were extremely pleased with the service and most of the food, we were very disappointed with how the veal was cooked. First all the good reviews: Bread continues to be awesome though it took longer to come out than the first time we were here. We had made reservations for 10 so it was not a surprise that we were coming. Best bread ever even though we had to wait for it. We actually had to order more bread because our entrees took a while to come out. (We opted not to get any appetizers since we knew the entree portions would be large.) Lasagna was huge! Two people shared it with a chicken salad and still had leftovers. Two had the special Chicken Carbonara and it was amazing, served with a raw egg yolk that you mix into the sauce yourself, it was extra creamy and the bacon flavor was awesome. The linguine Garlic shrimp had plenty of shrimp and was completely devoured. The three veal dishes ordered were Veal Parmigiana, Veal Piccata, and Veal Saltimboca. Flavor of the sauces were perfect, pasta was cooked to perfection, however what should be the star of the dish - the veal, was overcooked and dry in all of the dishes. Dry veal is a terrible waste of a delicate meat. Because it was a large group I didn't say anything but definitely would have if it had just been hubby and me. He had the Parmigiana and I had the Saltimboca so it wasn't just one of the veal dishes. Hence the docked Star - Could have been and should have been another five star experience but sadly, it wasn't. The veal dishes were really only 3 star but because the other dishes were on point and 5 star I averaged it to a 4 star experience. Will NOT get veal here again, and I had really been looking forward to it. Will still come again to try their other dishes.

Celebrated Mother's Day a day early with family. The restaurant was moderately size with a modern vibe. The lighting was moody but not too dark, it felt more classy. The tables were spread out far apart from each other so there was a lot of walking space. There's a bar area where guest can be seated at the counter. They were packed on a Saturday night, the night before Mother's Day. Mushroom crostini: The toasted bread was good, thin and crunchy but not too hard. The mushroom and cheese were fragrant and savory. Wished there were more mushrooms on top. Fried mozzarella cheese: The breading was good. The cheese was gooey. There's marinara sauce in the side that helps add more flavor to the cheese. Calamari fritti: This was like squid sticks. The breading was good and crispy. The Italian dressing for dipping was very good. It was rich and creamy. Really enjoyed this appetizer. Clams casino: Good appetizer. The sauce was very good. White wine and butter broth with bacon, spinach, mushrooms, tomato, and onions. It was light but pack with flavor. The sauce was good with bread. The clams were good too. Escargot: The escargot was good but on the salty side. This was rich with cheese and oil. The toasted bread was good, same as the mushroom crostini. The snails were large in size which was nice. Mentaiko pasta: The mentaiko pasta was alright but not the best I've had. The pasta sauce was creamy but there weren't enough mentaiko. It was more cheesy and milky in taste. This does not taste good after a day for leftover. Seafood combo with red house marinara: Not really a fan of "red" sauce for pasta. The marinara sauce was light and has a little kick to it. It was not bad. My family enjoyed the pasta. Overall a very good dinner experience. The service was friendly. The portion of their pasta was a lot. Enough for 2 people to share 1 plate. With a couple of appetizers on the side I would say it's quite filling. Their complementary bread was very good. It looks plain but it was delicious with a spread of butter. The bread was warm, fluffy, and the crust was crunchy.

In the heart of Moiliili located in the same building that houses other eateries such as Bangkok Chef, Sushi Ginza Onodera, Izakaya Naru as well as USPS is La Ciccia which is a hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant. We've been here a handful of times and it comes with mixed reviews. This place is a hidden gem as we drive past this place all the time and wouldn't have even thought about coming here until we were invited to join some friends. While I want to say everything was perfect, my inner voice has to come out and say while we liked many things, it all wasn't great every time we came here. The first time, we had excellent service... very attentive, our waters were never empty and we never had to hunt down our server. The next two times were a little different, the service seemed really slow. It took what seemed forever to place our orders. It was a good thing we had good company to keep us occupied as our tummies were rumbling. I do have to point out that there are only two waitstaff working for the whole restaurant. I would think that they might hire another person to work on the weekends as that seems to be their busiest times and I can't stress enough to make reservations especially on weekends as they are pretty packed. One person brought a very nice bottle of wine which accompanied the food very nicely, however the corkage fee of $30 per bottle was a meh in my book, especially since they don't offer that bottle there. Other places charge a little less especially when they don't offer a particular wine. The better half, friends, and family really enjoyed the escargot ($15) as they are slow baked in a bleu cheese and butter blend that makes you want to grab bread and dip it into the slots of where the escargot sat and wow it is delicious. The lasagna, was ok, nothing to write home about. I guess I'm more used to some homemade ones where the filling is a little more generous and even the taste is better. The better half loves NY Steak and she said the first time was better than the second as she likes it medium rare and the second time it came out more well done. Told her to send it back but she was hangry so she just ate it. The calamari was spot on. It was cooked to perfection as well as the mushroom crostini and their tomato bruschetta was to die for. We all gobbled up the appetizers. I enjoyed seafood combo as it had scallops, shrimp, and clams inside a garlic butter while wine sauce with pasta. YUM!!! Never tried any desserts as we were way too full from the appetizers and our entrees. A couple of key things to remember is to make reservations, come early as parking can be a pain to find as the parking lot is pretty much jammed packed.

La Ciccia is a Japanese Italian fusion restaurant. I've been here a couple of times and had forgotten how good it is! The service was really impeccable and very friendly. We felt well taken care of but never rushed. I love the decor in here which almost reminds me both of Japan and the East Coast restaurants I've been in, which really goes well with the food! The free bread is fresh and served soft and warm. The entrees were huge. Both my husband and I took home leftovers. Our dishes needed a touch of salt. But we're otherwise really delicious and the pasta was cooked just right. We were so full, but ended up sharing an affogato at the end which was the perfect meal end. Will return!

Escargot and calamari fritti were good. Mentaiko pasta is one and done. Service was ok.

We dine at La Ciccia about once a month, and I can honestly say I haven't ever been disappointed. Among my favorites are the Shrimp & Scallop alla Pink, the Mentaiko Pasta and the sausage appetizer. The service is earnest and friendly in a laid back atmosphere. One of the challenges of writing a rave review is the inevitable response...we won't be able to get in next time! But I do like to give credit where credit is due. The photo is from our most recent dinner there.

Slightly hidden amongst the surrounding of Kaka'ako is La Cucina Ristorante Itlaiano for many though I knew of this place for quite some time since I do have frequent Imperial Plaza for many other biz found here. The restaurant is located on the grounds floor inside the lobby area and can be easily missed for it's simplicity but those who knows it's a place to visit. To do so you must make reservations and it's online by e-mail only and it was a process for me as it's their primary way of communication along with presetting your order as well especially for braised items that requires 48hrs in advance notice. We didn't select those items but have decided to preorder our starters which is their Insalata di Casa which is a lovely simple salad with Italian vinaigrette and some fresh tomatoes and Bruchetta which is also another simple item but until you've tried them it was very crafted and delicious that was wonderful start to our meal. To share we decided on the Rigatoni Bolognese though they were out of Rigatoni and offered us Pappardelle instead which I was fine and Ravioli Zucca and from what I understand the Pappardelle is house made and it was just the perfect consistency and the bolognese was a delicate sauce that went perfectly together but the Ravioli Zucca was just as amazing. Stuffed with Butternut Squash and my favorite vodka sauce is paired with Italian sausage and garnished with sliced almonds and Italian parsley it was such an elegant bite. This spot is very small and cozy so you must wait outside to be called to your table which they set up for you before you're seated and parking is validated in the building though I did find street parking which is free as well after 6pm but the vibe here is very calm though many do come here as groups and it can get quite loud at moments though the staff did very well to course our starters and entree which is nice as the table is small and won't find much at the same time. I do appreciated the time it takes to prepare the reservations though must admit it was quite different to make it all work and see that it's all done in ways that you have very little wait for your table and your food as well and just loved how it's all crafted to make it a balance of harmony for us all. Thank you!

My brother said the ordering process was ok in the shop but you have to go outside to wait for them to call your name. The Il Bolognese panini had a slight crunch to the crust. The bread was of good quality and the fillings were good though I couldn't really taste the pistachio which is my only complaint. The fungi pizza used the same bread as the panini and it was good also with clumps of melted cheese, sausage, and mushrooms. I would like to try their Neapolitan pizza next time but this was a filling slice. I can see why people have been raving about this place to get good Italian food and I'll be back, this time in person!

I did like my take on the Vietnamese noodles though. The drinks were strong but meh. I remember it being enjoyable but its not memorable or recommendable. The desert Carrot Cake was a huge disappointment. Maybe its just not for me? We left a good half of it behind... The service was very good. There's a few tables inside and more seating outside. I got the calzone with pepperoni and the blackened ahi Caesar salad. The calzones here are definitely a must! I love the different cheeses they use as they complement each other really well. The calzone was crispy and not super doughy which I liked. I would probably pass on the Caesar salad next time though. The dressing was watery and the fish was dry. The service here was exceptional. My friend brought her dog, and the workers brought out a water bowl and kept checking up on us. Overall, pretty decent spot for dinner and the ambiance is nice. I would come back just for their calzone.

We dined on a Friday night, so many of the other restaurants were busy and loud. This was exactly what we were looking for after a busy work week. The food quality is very good. Our food was tasty, timely, and hot. Our server correctly recommended the vodka sauce chicken pasta and the grandma pizza, which were both amazing. Although the pizza was a bit pricey, $31, it can easily feed a family due to its large size. For the pasta, the noodles were cooked to a perfect Al dente and the sauce was out of this world. The grandma pizza, similar to Boston's spinach and garlic pizza, was AMAZING! Easily tops Boston's version because of the Alfredo sauce that they use as the base. The service was impeccable, efficient, and friendly. The staff were very polite and attentive throughout our visit. If you're looking for a better alternative for exceptional Italian cuisine in Hawaii Kai, Repetti's is your place. Removed from the hustle and bustle, and always welcoming and good.

All of the server staff was super attentive. My husband and I both chose the prix fixe menu. It's $125. Every dish was excellent!! The restaurant validates parking, $8 for 4 hours, tip not included. For my son's 18th birthday he wanted to eat pasta. After looking at many Yelp reviews, we ended up making reservations at Taormina. Unfamiliar with the menu we decided to do the five tasting course. As of 4/22/26 the base price is $125 and depending on what you choose, there are some add ons. For example the carbonara was +$25 and the Ricci di mare was +$18. Food: the Focaccia bread was free and comes with free refills. The salmon with caviar was really good. It had the perfect balance but very small, about 1.5". The next dish was the baked abalone. That was also very delicious but two bites and it's over. At this point, we were starting to think we would leave hungry. The next dish was the pasta. We tried both the carbonara and the Ricci di mare. Both were very good. The carbonara came with freshly slices truffles and thick crispy pieces of bacon. Highly recommend for truffle lovers. I'm not a huge uni fan but surprisingly the Ricci di mare was also really good. Of note, the pasta in the five course tasting is half the size of the regular order. Even at half the size, I felt the serving portion was good. I felt satisfied but not full. The next dish was the main course so filet mignon and monchong. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly but I personally didn't like the sweet sour balsamic vinegar taste that was drizzled over. I would have preferred it to be more savory. The monchong was okay but a little overcooked for my liking. The portion size of the main course was good. Lastly was our desert but to our surprise, they brought out a nicely written happy birthday platter with half a lava flow desert and a small scoop of ice cream. My son really enjoyed it. The creme caramel was also good and reminded me of flan. Service: the waitress did her job but I personally felt we had better service entering the restaurant and being seated. She had no smile, did not offer any recommendations, and no small talk which is fine but noticeable. Our bill came out to $463.87 tip not included. Though we really enjoyed the salmon and abolone I'm not sure it's worth the price and the extra three bites. Next time I would just stick with the pasta. If we had just ordered the full order of pasta our bill would've been $195.

My father and brother are both military veterans and enjoyed the fact that this venue was situated at a golf course they patronized before. We all ordered drinks--I ordered a bottle of wine, taking advantage of the Half-off Wine Wednesdays; some tried the alcohol specials and others simply elected to have soda. I ordered a few appetizers for the table and those went quickly: calamari, bruschetta, and artichoke dip. Yum! Main entrees followed and everyone seemed to enjoy their selections. We ordered dessert and were disappointed that they ran out of creme brulee...my father ordered the cheesecake and thoroughly enjoyed it. My only reason for not giving five stars has to do with the outdoor seating. I wish the chairs were more comfortable, as we sat there for awhile, waiting for our server to take our large group order along with waiting for food to come out. There is adequate parking and the restrooms are clean and accessible. An elevator is located in the lobby for those who are not able to easily climb the flight of stairs to the venue. I wish the signage was better, as my 74 year old father took the outside steps, as he thought that was the entrance, per signage downstairs.

Erin knew this was our first time here, and she made it her mission to make sure it was not our last. She was friendly, real down-to-earth, and efficient. She offered suggestions, refilled drinks and brought bread, all without us even asking. I will definitely return, and if Im able to, request Erin as our server. This was my hubby and mine first date night in years... so mahalo for the memorable meal, Erin!

We both heard so many great reviews of their homemade pasta. We were greeted at the door by the friendly hostess and she said to have a seat anywhere. We sat at a table for 4. We loved the spaciousness. We really appreciated that they have such convenient portable bag rests that they place on the floor next to the table to hold your purse or packages. This was the first time I saw that in a restaurant and was immediately impressed. We put in our orders and we were served a spinach salad that came with our lunch order. We also looked at their dinner menu and ordered the Garlic Bread. I ordered the Carbonara and my friend ordered the Garlic Shrimp Tomato Cream. You can immediately taste the difference with fresh pasta; it's tender, slightly chewy, and perfectly holds onto the sauce. The carbonara sauce was silky and glossy, coating every strand without feeling heavy. The guanciale was flavorful, adding just the right amount of saltiness, and the Pecorino gave it that sharp, savory kick. The black pepper tied everything together beautifully. It was rich but balanced and comforting. You can tell care went into every step of the dish. I ate the entire plate. It was fun breaking the yolk into my pasta. My friend enjoyed her Garlic Shrimp Tomato Cream Tomato Pasta and she said it was so good. The homemade pasta was tender and fresh, and the sauce was creamy, garlicky, and perfectly balanced with a touch of tomato brightness. The shrimp were juicy and flavorful. She also ate the whole thing. The garlic bread was nice and warm and paired well with our pasta dishes. We really enjoyed the homemade pasta. The fresh pasta was tender, soft, and slightly chewy. Unlike dried pasta, it had a delicate bite and it absorbed our sauces beautifully. If you want to experience real homemade pasta with their flavorful sauces, Cucina Moon is the restaurant to experience. We will definitely be back. I will try the Squid Ink Pasta next.

A few things, like bread and salad, I had to order at the host stand, which added to our wait time as the pasta dishes were ready. The staff was super helpful and welcoming however, offering water and seats while I waited. I tried the spaghetti bolognese and loved it; it was a garlic bomb with great flavor and noticeable portion of meat. The salad was delicious, fresh and bright and simple dressing. The garlic bread was soft and great for dipping. Overall, this is a fun place to come. You may have a better experience dining in; and must love garlic!
