Monte Cristo

I stumbled in here because the line at YogurStory was long. Glad I did! The Monte Cristo sandwich is incredible, fries were perfection and the lovely person at the front counter was as pleasant as could be. Highly recommended. Photo is the remaining half of my sandwich that became dinner.

Takeout lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... I passed by many times before I tried: Echicken Pizza Boys. Located in the Likelike Plaza, across from Walmart, and around the building from Wholesale Unlimited Express, Echicken Pizza Boys shares its parking lot with Tony Moly and YogurStory. It's a busy place at times... I was looking at the menu that's taped to the glass door, when a nice lady came outside and asked if I needed anything. I told her I wanted to get the pizza. She apologized as the pizza machine was broken. I guess I have to get chicken, then! I got the #1: K-Pop chicken. It's plain and boneless. The dipping sauce is $1. I chose the garlic shoyu sauce. While I was waiting for my order, she gave me a takeout menu. I saw a poster for Cheesy Baked Spaghetti. The nice lady said that it's very popular. I ordered one and also ordered Garlic Bread. LOL! Everything came out hot and fresh! The fragrances were delicious! When I got home, everything was yummy! The chicken was moist and tender with a light, crisp outer layer! I ate five pieces of garlic bread... really Ono! [They threw in a couple of small pieces of chicken and gave me an extra order of garlic bread... wow! Thanks!] I'll be back for a pizza! Note: I'm glad that I was able to wait in such a pleasant dining area. It was air-conditioned, had beautiful, simple decor, and comfy chairs! Thank you!

Walked in and decided on take out. We ordered bone-in and bone-out chicken and ordered a cheese spaghetti! I loveeee their cheesy spaghetti..it is so good. It came with 4 garlic bread. We ordered 2 K-Chili Spicy Yangnyeomsauces and 2 Shoyu Garlic sauces and got 2 complimentary sauces: BBQ Yangnyeom(Mild]. I really enjoyed the K-Chili Spicy sauce the most! The chicken was lightly crusted, tender and moist! I can't wait to be back to try the pizza next!! Perhaps the Bulgogi or Potato Pizza??!

Corn & Cheese Pizza

When we first heard of this new korean pizza spot, we were SO excited to try it. Unfortunately, our first experience has fallen short from our expectations.  However, I want to start by saying the staff was very nice and polite and the atmosphere had a nice vibe. As of March 2026, pricing on their printed/social media/store menus were inaccurate. We noticed a $3 difference when we were charged. When asked for clarification, but the cashier couldn't explain the difference. Rather than being offered a refund/recharge of the price advertised, we were given a $3 voucher off $20 meal. I later found out on my own that the pricing reflects their clover.com menu prices. I was most excited to try the sweet corn & cheese pizza. However, it lacked what appeared to be a sauce visibly drizzled on top like the photo on the menu.  Instead it was just a basic cheese pizza with sprinkled corn and no special sauce. The k-pop chicken was crispy and the highlight of our meal.  We ordered the shoyu/garlic sauce for $1 which was delicious but in a very small container and not enough for the generous portion of chicken. To conclude, I encourage e chicken pizza boys to update their menu prices (in store and on social media) so there is no confusion for the customers. I do think this place has great potential and am willing to try it again in the near future.

Amazing service and Delicious food!! I'm so happy this place is open until 11! We were able to go to the soft opening. They have a small seating area where kPop music is on a TV or you can take it to go! They have a pizza and chicken menu, but the pizza won't be available until next week. We got to try the Kpop Chicken (Boneless) and K Crispy Chicken plates. The Kpop chicken easy to eat because it's boneless and paired with the Shoyu Garlic sauce you can't go wrong! The K Crispy chicken was exactly that Crispy! The plates also came with rice, pickled veggies and a mac salad. I'm definitely coming back to try the k-Chicken Wings and pizza!!

Decided to try the sister store for the great kfc place I usually go to. Since I didn't feel like cooking, why not. It's located on the outside of the building facing youme store. It has bright lights all around open signs and all. I ordered tteokbboki (always a favorite) and an entire fried chicken with spicy sauce. I figured it would be the same flavor as the other store. I waited for a little bit since they dry the chicken there. First came the ttteokbboki and it was in a mild soupy sauce. Usually the sauce is thicker but they make it very loose and soup like. The flavors were sweeter than I like but being hungry, you just eat. Secondly what looked like a Cornish hen split in half and opened fried came to the table. It was piping hot and this I would give the crispy skin 5/5 but there was absolutely no taste. Preferably maybe some salt on the chicken to render flavor but there was none. The little sauce container was also sweet and not spicy. When a place says spicy, I usually feel or should be spicy. In addition, being a Korean restaurant im surprised their spicy tasted like sweetened mae ploy sauce with bits of dry spice chilies. Not spicy at all. That was disappointing. The little cabbage they serve with it had no flavor at all. Maybe make a little kim chee on the side or make the cabbage more flavorful. The whole meal with two drinks came out to $45 or so. Nothing cheap for what I got, but nothing fantastic for that price. I'm saddened that this wasn't better because it's nice to have a good Korean fried chicken place after hours. Possibly I could have ordered chicken wings but those are $2+ per wing. So I figure the whole chicken for $20+ is a better deal. Not necessarily. I will try this place again and maybe get the monte cristo and chicken wings. The lady behind the counter was polite and the place was rather clean. However they also didn't have a big crowd of people until I left.

I went here today for lunch to get their Korean fried chicken and baked spaghetti with cheese and garlic bread. Wow everything was delish! You can't go wrong with crispy fried chicken and spaghetti! They also have variety of pizzas here too. This is a casual eating spot with few tables you can sit at or take out foods. Their fried chicken was crispy on outside and moist on inside. Comes with sauce if your choice and some daikon. Overall great place to get your grub on!

The chicken is sooooo good. We haven't tried the pizza yet, but can't wait for the official grand opening to try it! Woo hoo! The atmosphere is really comfortable, and staff are super friendly. The chicken was crispy and juicy and had perfect flavor. My kids absolutely loved it and were raving about how good it tasted! We will definitely be back for more. The price is really reasonable and it's a cute, and very clean restaurant.

Great little Korean fried chicken and Pizza spot across the street from Walmart on Keeaumoku. We stopped in there one afternoon because of a super friendly employee who called us in. But, what a great surprise how good the food was.

New Menu Item: Monte Cristo Sandwich that's very ono. Fries included. This is 1/2 an order, I wen grind the other 1/2.

Very clean place with friendly staff. Food is very good. Located directly across Walmart's parking structure. 5 stars cuz sufficient amount of parking is available.

This place is a true gem. First impression was that the service is amazing. When we were outside looking at the menu, we were warmly greeted and invited inside. The lady running the restaurant chatted with us and told us about the menu and what she dishes that she recommended. She was very friendly and engaging which we really appreciated. Now to the most important part, the food. It is probably the best fried chicken on the island. The batter is super light and crispy. In addition the batter is very well seasoned which sets it apart. The chicken itself is very juicy and is also very well seasoned and tasty. We bought two plates and it was more than enough food for the two of us. The pickles were very crispy and unique. The mac salad is great with a little celery bite and it's not overly mayo covered which is what I prefer. Also the price is very good for the amount of food. The restaurant is very cozy and clean.

The owner and employee were working at the time and both very nice and helpful. I went right at opening and chicken came out fresh and fast. The restaurant is clean and cute. The chicken wings were tasty and crunchy. I got the shoyu garlic sauce on the side and it was yummy! Will def go back again to try the rest of the menu.

However, after having to abandon our original dinner plans, we were no less intrigued after randomly stumbling across this place. While they may not have been our first choice for dinner, coming here was far more appealing than eating fast food or at the nearby IHOP! Although seeing so many folks at this mini food truck park may have been what caught our attention, it was the boxes of fried chicken on nearly every table that swayed us to try Waikiki Chicken in Paradise in particular. After skimming the menu, it wasn't hard to see why they were such a popular choice - everything on it sounded great. Granted, that's not overly difficult when there are only eight items to choose from, but tough to argue with the likes of fried chicken loco moco, fried chicken curry rice, fried chicken sandwiches, chicken & croffle, and fish & chips! Since we saw how big the portion were and didn't want anything too heavy (read: sadly, no loco moco or Japanese curry), we opted to split a FRIED CHICKEN RICE PLATE ($16.95) which came with a Fried Chicken Cutlet over White Rice with Mac Salad & Green Salad. Funny enough, despite already having a sense of how much food they give, I was still surprised by the generous portion size. As for how it all tasted, this was great. The breading on the chicken reminded me of Popeye's (though, without the spice), the batter was crispy, and the chicken itself was rather moist. As for the sides, the mac salad was pretty good, but the salad was a little heavy on dressing. If there was one thing I could change about our order, I think I'd want to see how it would taste with a sauce or glaze. At the very least, I'd definitely go with a different dipping sauce, like their Pineapple Ginger, Lilikoi Mayo, or Guava BBQ, as the Honey Mustard we went with tasted a bit generic. Of course, we could've solved both problems if we had gone with the Fried Chicken Loco Moco or Fried Chicken Curry Rice instead! I guess I'll just have to wait until the next time I'm in Waikiki!

They actually cut in half 5 pieces of the Chicken Backs and each 1/2 counted as a piece of overcooked chicken jerky! I also got a 1/3 of a breast section with bones and not even a 1/2 of a thigh. That totals my 10 pieces. More bones and excess crispy flour then consumable meat. NOBODY gives a Chicken back (or 1/2 a back)! Not Popeyes, not KFC or Zippy's who will remain my Favorite because I will only get ripped off the 1st time, never again. Additionally, they make you buy the sauce, the reason is due to no seasoning on the over floured bread...but it IS Crispy! The Chicken tenders were overcooked and REALLY Chewy around the edges. Just a LOT of breaded Crispy with no flavor, what "Chef" doesn't even use salt? Really, if you're going to risk testing this food, PAY for some sauce! I hope the Owner reads this and realizes that ripping people off by selling broken pieces that most Chef's throw away because they have so little meat on them, isn't going to keep him in business. The profit margin may be up while folks are trying it, spending their hard earn $$$'s, yet not coming back will be the ultimate demise of this business as many other have come and gone doing the exact same thing, not putting themselves in he patron's position. Ask yourself this: When was the last time you saw a bowl of whole chicken pieces and immediately grabbed one that was back bone chopped in half?

Be sure to call ahead, it usually takes ~30 min per order if you call. Takeout only. Service is very polite. Parking is tough because of the area but there are a few spots out front, would generally recommend calling ahead so parking is less stressful. Their menu was a little confusing to me so here is some explanation: K pop chicken- boneless chicken pieces K chicken wings- flats and drumettes (the two parts of a larger chicken wing) K chicken tenders- boneless tenders only K crispy chicken- full wings, thighs, and breast pieces They offer each of these items as a plate lunch too, with a smaller portion of chicken that comes with rice and salad. I personally like the K chicken wings for the variety and higher meat to skin ratio but my husband really likes the K chicken wings. The skin is shatteringly crispy and flavorful and the meat is juicy. Their honey shoyu sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and salty. You can also request the sauce on the side. I've also had the fried rice which was decent and generously portioned. We once had a complimentary house salad given to us which was unexpected kindness. Overall they do a great job serving up a delicious craveable food that keeps us coming back!

When you're always on the hunt for great fried chicken, you can't really pass up a place literally called "Good Chicken" and they definitely lived up to the name! The establishment is cute and cozy with tables available for dine-in. As soon as we walked up, we were kindly greeted and a table was set up for us immediately. After getting settled into our hotel, we were starving, and everything on the menu looked incredible. We ended up ordering the Garlic Chili and the Honey Shoyu chicken. It was exactly what you want when you're craving KFC. The sauces were spot on, chicken had a perfect crunch in every bite and the meat was incredibly tender. To make our dinner feel like a complete, we also added a few other items to the table. We had the pork mandoo and loved that it was clearly homemade, you could really taste the difference. Those extra sides were the perfect finishing touch to the feast. To be honest, if it weren't for this staycation, we probably wouldn't have headed into this part of Waikiki, but I'm so glad we did. Next time we stay in the area, this will definitely be on our list of places to repeat. The chicken skin had a nice crunch to it and the meat was juicy (not super oily, but juicy.) The mashed potatoes and gravy weren't bad. They were not super fluffy but a little more on the dense side. (Nothing bad, just dense.) The gravy was somewhat runny with just the right amount of saltiness. The spaghetti was surprisingly good! It's been a few years since I've gone to a Jolly Bee and I had imagined the spaghetti to only be sweet and savory. It was actually pretty good! (Not in an Italian way though. It was a little spicy, which I loved! I wasn't expecting it to be spicy so it was a very pleasant surprise! It was a tad sweet...just the right amount! (There isn't a 3-piece combo on the menu, but the server was kind enough to accommodate my request for an extra piece of chicken.) It came with a container of gravy that made me wonder what it was for, immediately. Then I remembered all the commercials and YouTube videos where food reviewers either slathered their chicken with the gravy or they dunked it into the gravy. I was so hungry that I forgot for a few seconds that the gravy was for the chicken, thus I drank most of the gravy!! The dining area is constantly cleaned and draws a diverse crowd. Because it is at the beginning of downtown it does attract some homeless people as well. But, that's life in the big city, right? I arrived around 5:40 PM, but getting into the parking lot took longer than expected because of the very long drive-thru line and limited parking. Once inside, I waited about 5 minutes at the counter before anyone acknowledged me. I was the only customer waiting inside. I even stood near the online pickup area for a while, hoping someone would ask if I needed help, but several employees walked by without acknowledging me. Two cashiers looked in my direction multiple times but continued their conversation instead of checking whether I was waiting for an order. I finally interrupted to let them know I was there for an online pickup and gave them my name. Unfortunately, there seemed to be confusion about my order. One employee pointed to another, who then pointed back to the first employee while continuing to prepare food. No one was able to tell me whether my order was ready. Thankfully, an employee wearing a different colored shirt (a manager I'm assuming) noticed I hadn't been helped. She immediately apologized, asked for my name, checked on my order, and informed the kitchen that more chicken needed to be prepared. Shortly after, another manager also stepped in, apologized, and helped get everything together. I finally left with my order at 6:09 PM, nearly 40 minutes after my scheduled pickup time. The food was fresh, delicious, and the restaurant itself was clean, which is why I'm giving 5 stars for the food and cleanliness. However, this isn't the first time I've had to wait an unusually long time just to be acknowledged for an online pickup. In the past, my food has at least been ready once someone finally helped me. This visit was different because not only was I ignored, but my order also wasn't ready. I understand that restaurants are fast-paced environments and that unexpected staffing shortages can happen if someone calls out sick. However, there appeared to be plenty of staff working during my visit. My concern wasn't the number of employees--it was the lack of communication, urgency, and teamwork. I believe additional customer service and workflow training could help employees become more productive and ensure that customers, especially those picking up online orders, are acknowledged promptly. A simple greeting such as, "We'll be right with you," or "Let me check on your order," would have made a significant difference. Good communication goes a long way and leaves customers feeling valued, even during busy times.
