    Close up of escargot
    Peter J. H.

We were the only customers in there for a while, so the front work worker set us next to the large picture window facing Britannia Street, which was very nice. Good food and wine menu, and glad they have Italian beer. Quick service and the food came out relatively quickly, although again we were the only ones there. We had an appetizer of escargot, for our main dish we shared the Cacciucco seafood stew, and because it came with no sides, we ordered a marinara spaghetti off the kids menu. That was very filling for two of us, but then again we're not very big eaters. This place is always very cozy with great food and a comforting atmosphere

Came here with a friend for an early dinner/late lunch. There were no one but us around so we were sat fairly quickly. I really wanted to try their mozzarella sticks but they were out! So sad. After we ordered we got their complimentary bread which was fire! We ordered: * Garlic Bread: 8/10, solid appetizer, crunchy, buttery, and garlicky. We probably should've saved some for the pastas itself but we ended up devouring it. (We were given more free bread though, not the same as the garlic bread tho) * Lasagna: 9/10. This was my first time ever having lasagna at a restaurant, and first time I'm having it in general for like a decade. You have a choice for the sauce it comes in, I just told the waiter whatever he felt like would be best. I think it was the mushroom one. It was pretty good, no complaints. * Chicken Alfredo: 8.7/10, my friend got this so I don't have any specific notes about it. It was good from the couple bites I tried. I live super close so I think the next time I'm craving pasta I may swing by, to me, it's not considered affordable enough to be in my immediate radar even if it is really close.

I went in today(a Monday) for lunch and the ambiance was wonderful. It seemed like a slower day for the restaurant which was nice because it was so peaceful inside, my server was very sweet(did not catch her name but she was great) and everything was both quick to appear and very delicious. I highly recommend the spinach and cream spaghetti. Topped off with a window view and Bella Notte playing as I was eating my pasta. 5 stars and I will return again, hopefully to try dessert next time.

I've always thought of Aunty Pasto's as a dinner place, but we stopped in for lunch the other day and I'm really glad we did. My boyfriend and I both got the Pasta of the Day, which was penne Bolognese, and it was honestly really good. For $8.95, I wasn't expecting much, but it tasted fresh, the portion was filling, and you really can't beat the price. We also split a Greek salad, and that ended up being just as good. It got me wondering why lunch isn't busier. It's impossible to find a meal like this for under $10 anymore, especially at a local restaurant that's been around for so long. If you're looking for a good lunch without spending a fortune, give Aunty Pasto's a shot. We'll definitely be coming back to try the next Pasta of the Day.

Fresh Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Amazing! Thinner, but flavorful sauce.

A true hole in the wall place. Walking up, I had no idea what to expect. The inside is super cute, exposed brick and just what you would expect from a little Italian place. The service was ok. The guy seemed shocked when after 20 minutes of sitting we asked if we could order. But he was sweet. Food was amazing. Side salad was tiny and didn't have much on it for $9. But the pasta was so good. I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. I'm still thinking about it. Homemade noddles and the most flavorful sauce. It far exceeded my expectations, and I would even go out of my way to eat there again.

As a home cook I love treating myself every now and then. And when I do I love coming to Auntie Pasto's Everything was absolutely amazing given we did come within the last two hours before closing but service was great. Everyone was so friendly. The food was scrumptious so ONO! The mood inside very is giving classic mom&pop Italian restaurants. I love how the tables are with the menus already there so you can kind of just look at it and still have it without it being in the way of your food. The portion sizes are huge. I couldn't even finish my pasta. I had to take home my left overs but more for later is always good. Service was pretty fast and the food came out HOT and super Fresh! the management was just so involved in the customer service it felt super welcoming very homie and you can feel the aloha! I hope you readers come here have an amazing experience. Keep in mind there's no parking for the building just street parking and the Walgreens parking lot but it's sooo worth it! I wish I had enough room for dessert! I'm looking forward to next time hopefully then I'll have that space for dessert!

Stopped in for a comfort‑food carb load and Auntie Pasto's did the job. The fish piccata was the standout - moist, flaky fish with a bright lemon‑capers sauce over pasta that was cooked right, not mushy. The calamari was classic bar‑style: tender, nicely fried, and easy to keep picking at. Fettuccine Alfredo was rich and heavy in a good "I knew what I was signing up for" way, definitely shareable. Small Caesar was simple but fresh and helped cut through all the cream and butter. Casual, old‑school vibe, big portions, and you'll probably leave with leftovers - solid spot when you're craving basic Italian‑American comfort food.

The fennel Sausage on the pizza has no fennel...the pizza crust tastes store bought. The red pepper shaker opened and spilled all over the place. Thumbs down.

Aloha Friday carbo loading before a night out. No frills, just good servings of pasta. No lines or wait time at 4:30. . Street meter parking that turns free after 6pm (always double check the signs tho). . Pasta came with solid customer service and relaxed home restaurant vibes. cheers!

Last minute decision to dine here for dinner. I've been here before. It's been awhile. Place is pretty dated. Could use some deep cleaning. I was greeted within minutes. I just wish the server would sat me farther from a large family with a child blasting his IPad. Nothing more annoying than hearing device when you're trying to enjoy a meal. I ordered the small Greek salad, stuffed mushrooms and seafood fettuccine. Greek salad was just a salad. The stuffed mushrooms was really good. Unlike most stuff mushrooms they put 4 mushrooms stuffed inside this small dish loaded with some amazing cheese. The seafood pasta super salty. It was really hard to eat.I picked through it. I didn't finish it. They charged an $2.50 for their "fresh" fettuccine which I didn't asked for. I just wanted regular fettuccine noodles. I wish the server would have informed me of this so call "fresh" charge. This was not worth $51. Took the server 11 minutes to give me check after asking. He kept passing me. Was not a good experience.

    45. Meatballs Pasta

Ignore the previous reviews from this place, it was so delicious and the service was 10/10! My husband and I had been wanting to try it for a while so we finally went. We were seated immediately and taken care of the entire night. I didn't get our waiters name but he was fantastic! So I got the spaghetti and meatballs pasta and my husband tried the chicken cacciatore pasta. Both were so flavorful and they even had Italian music playing! It felt like a little Italy! Overall, it was a 10/10 and definitely going back soon!

The best Greek salad in Honolulu. The food service was good. I enjoyed not having to wait to be seated. We were able to have a conversation as the space and ambiance was lovely. They accommodated my vegetarian request. Chicken parm & eggplant parm was what my siblings had they enjoyed. Pasta large portions they shared and took some home.

The third time ( this time ) we added another different menu. The more we come, the more we can try new menu and enjoy new tastes. Honestly El Cielo, all menu we tried even wine and draft beers, were top class, I love to nominate as the best restaurant in Hawaii. I am so glad I found the great restaurant, I was seeking for. Prices were not bad, as inflation everything costs are so expensive nowadays. Everywhere!! Their services are great too. If I live close by I would go El Cielo once or twice a week. I really enjoyed the octopus. Not too soft. It came with a nice chew and sat on a bed of thinly sliced potatoes. I could've eaten the whole dish by myself...No sharing next time. The egg custard was light, with a hint of bacon flavor. It was served in the shell in a high heeled shoe dish. So cute! The entrées were a bit of a different story... I ordered the pork shoulder at first and the waiter recommended it be done, medium rare. I have to say I am no longer a fan of bloody meat so I asked for it to be done medium. Honestly, it arrived and to my palate was a bit tasteless.... given that it was almost $60 I thought twice but was encouraged to send it back. The waiter was accommodating and I ordered the lamb chops instead. Two thick sliced lamb chops arrived about 15 minutes later and were a perfect medium served on a bed of potato and sweet potato. I really enjoyed this.... I like my lamb chops usually grilled, juicy and fatty. These were refined, trimmed of the fat and beautifully plated. I'd like to try the paella next time and more of the appetizers. Really good choice of fancy little cocktails also. I would reserve the back room for sure next time. That room has high ceilings and feels elevated. The front room where we sat was OK. I'd also opt for the outside seating area on a breezy evening... Otherwise it can be rather humid in the summer. Overall, excellent service and delicious food offerings. A bit pricey to be expected given the area.

I mentioned that it was just a general question and i wasn't coming that night. They informed me that it's validated for two hours and it's first come first serve. After the 2 hours its $14 an hour. Getting into the valet area was stressful enough as there was a car parked right before you turn and pedestrians that walk back and forth from their main driveway entrance. I also had to wait for valet for a bit too as there was 2 other cars in front of me and probably only 2 valet on duty trying to move cars forward. Reservations can be made on open table, but there was really no point to doing that since it's open seating during happy hour times. We ended up just picking a table that was in the shade, and noticed they only have their menu by QR code which is kinda annoying. The server was pretty nice tho and he brought my dog some water mid way. Their happy hour runs from 2-6 and the menu is slightly less expensive. The food was kind of standard hotel type of food and nothing really stood out. Otherwise the vibes at the restaurant was nice and i do like that they allow dogs to join you. it seems like they have live music after a certain time. I was even more annoyed and stressed with the valet when i went to pick up my car. They literally just handed me my keys. My car was parked along the wall probably 20 steps away, but they could have at least taken out my car cause it was so hard to get out, but i guess it's nice they trust that i wont bang the car in front of back of me i guess even tho im a pretty terrible parker. at the time they didn't look as busy as when i first arrived, so i dont know why they couldn't have just done the bare minimum with just pulling out my car from the stall.

The space is relaxed and inviting, with a calm, tucked-away feel that makes you forget you're inside a hotel. The happy hour menu is impressively priced, with starters beginning at just $6, yet everything feels thoughtfully prepared and elevated. Highlights included the toasted bread with sun-dried tomato pistou -- warm, crisp toast paired with a deeply savory, herbaceous spread that's simple but incredibly satisfying. The mini poke bowl was fresh and well-balanced, showcasing clean flavors and quality fish without being overly heavy. The fish tacos delivered exactly what you want: crispy island fish, bright flavors, and a great balance of texture. We also tried the fish and chips, featuring lightly fried island fish, hot fries, and a creamy house remoulade that tied the dish together beautifully. Low intervention and organic wines with such great range from light and bubbly to heavy with tons of body. Come for the wine and make friends with the staff and others around the bar. The setting is intimate so get comfy.
