    Pesto spaghetti
    Sunny V.

Fast and kind service. We were greeted right away and seated with our choice of table. It is a smaller restaurant with tables available but the biggest table had 6 seats. The waitress was polite and friendly! We ordered a large Italian salad, large pesto spaghetti and large la pizza rina combo! It was enough for four people! The pesto is my recommendation for sure because it was so delicious!

Heading back to town from Kaneohe, I was getting hungry. I just wanted something simple and easy, with easy parking because that can be such a drag. Let me go to one of my favorites! There were three families inside when I walked in. I grabbed a table by the kitchen. Prices sure have increased since I first came here. But I was craving spaghetti and meatballs. There's no beer or wine, which is fine. Last time I was here was back in 2022 for the same thing. MMmmmm garlic bread! And then the feast! So good! Just like I remembered! The family who runs Rina is very nice! Definitely worth coming to for a no frills, non-pretentious meal! Mahalo Rina!

Best spaghetti and Italian salad. I'm so glad I found this place. They use to have another place in Chinatown 5 years ago.

I was looking forward to curry next door but failed to notice they're closed on Tuesdays so I had to pivot for La Pizza Rina. The lovely family that runs this place is kind, down to earth and quick to service. They may have been rushing me that afternoon since I noticed they closed at 2 or 3pm to prep for dinner. Salad and pizza came out ok. Both were edible and pizza was a bit undercooked but still doable. I ate as fast as I could to be respectful of time. The place is dainty and dark. Great place to cool down from the heat. After walking almost 2 miles from Ala Moana I probably should've stayed there to get something to eat. Lesson learned. However, if you're in a pinch this place will nudge the spot and give you energy for the rest of the day.

Free parking in back shared lot, enter from S. King Street. Exit from Keeaumoku St. Went for lunch dine in on Election day. Son requested pasta. Ordered: Baked spaghetti with meat sauce Spinach tortellini Garlic bread included with pasta Homemade bread, from Daily bread, also located on S. King Street. Sandwiches also made with homemade bread. Pizza is also on the menu. Prices are still reasonable. Family business.

    Pastrami submarine sandwich

Got the la pizza rina combo pizza, pastrami submarine sandwich, and garlic cheesy bread. The pizza definitely tastes fresh and savory. It's different from fast food pizzas like pizza hut and papa John's as it has less of an oily and greasy feeling after eating it. The toppings of the pizza definitely stand out as u eat it and the bread and crust is a perfect combination of crispy and chewy. The pastrami sub is definitely worth a try. The vinegar sauce with the mayo adds immense flavor to the sandwich. The bread is nice and crispy and the inside of the sandwich is perfectly salted and balances well with the lettuce and tomato. I will say though that I was disappointed with their garlic bread. Did not taste the garlic. It literally tasted like average melted cheese on a whole lot of bread. Probs wont be getting that again but the other two I'll definitely be going back for seconds! Parking is in a lot in the back of the building with a 1 way in from king street and an exit on keamoku street. There's about 6-8 tables inside with a fridge of drinks that u can buy. I had my first Henry Weinhard's root beer and vanilla root beer at this place and have grown a liking to it ever since. It goes good with the pizza too ;) Service was soo friendly and thoughtful. We came a little later than the final seating time but they still allowed us to order takeout. And the food tasted up to it's amazing standard

    Super Sub+ pizza

I've been to La Pizza Rina multiple times now, and it's easily one of my go-to spots in Hawaii. Every visit has been solid, but on my most recent trip, I got the La Pizza Rina Super Sub Sandwich and also made a pizza! The super sub is so authentic...flavorful, super fresh, and honestly one of the best subs I've had. The price is more than fair for how much you get. Id say go for the sub (or better yet, do both and split!) Friendly staff, fast service, and a chill, atmosphere. Can't recommend this place enough.

Had to come back to my favorite spot with the best spaghetti meatballs in town. There's a lot of Parking in the back. Service is quick and it's BYOB.

    Antipasto salad

We were looking for dinner after the movies and decided on La Pizza Rina. We have been going here for a while and always love the service and food. When we got there is was super crowded, there were only 2 open tables. There is only one server and although she was busy, she greeted us with water and utensils. We ordered baked spaghetti and antipasto salad. The salad and garlic bread came out fast and was super fresh and delicious. Absolutely love the cheese and ham rolls sliced in the salad!! Our spaghettis came out steaming hot and cheesy - delicious! The restaurant is small and homey feeling and although it was crowded it was not as loud as I expected. There is lots of free parking in the lot behind the restaurant and it is well lit. By the time we left we were the last ones and everyone waved to us, including the kitchen staff. Would definitely go again!

Kind of a let down. I last ate here 15 years ago and remember it being pretty decent. Got the large combo pizza tonight and the antipasto Salad tonight. Total with tax was $52. The combo pizza looks big but it's a bit lacking in toppings. It's not a heavy pizza. Leaving the restaurant with my takeout I remember thinking "I paid $52 for this?" The pizza was ok. But sadly I can make better pizza at home myself. Two of us ate all but two slices and the entire salad. We weren't stuffed. So it's not a lot of food for the $. The salad was ok. Nothing really that special. It was missing roasted veggies, high quality manoa lettuce or something that would have made it unique. Probably won't be back.

There's a lovely little Italian restaurant on King Street that you should definitely check out. The food is not only delicious but also very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly, and everything is made fresh when you order it. This cozy spot has a great variety of dishes, including classic pizzas, tasty appetizers, hearty salads, and sub sandwiches. My favorite dish to order is the antipasto salad along with a small la pizza Rina specialty combo.

Slightly hidden amongst the surrounding of Kaka'ako is La Cucina Ristorante Itlaiano for many though I knew of this place for quite some time since I do have frequent Imperial Plaza for many other biz found here. The restaurant is located on the grounds floor inside the lobby area and can be easily missed for it's simplicity but those who knows it's a place to visit. To do so you must make reservations and it's online by e-mail only and it was a process for me as it's their primary way of communication along with presetting your order as well especially for braised items that requires 48hrs in advance notice. We didn't select those items but have decided to preorder our starters which is their Insalata di Casa which is a lovely simple salad with Italian vinaigrette and some fresh tomatoes and Bruchetta which is also another simple item but until you've tried them it was very crafted and delicious that was wonderful start to our meal. To share we decided on the Rigatoni Bolognese though they were out of Rigatoni and offered us Pappardelle instead which I was fine and Ravioli Zucca and from what I understand the Pappardelle is house made and it was just the perfect consistency and the bolognese was a delicate sauce that went perfectly together but the Ravioli Zucca was just as amazing. Stuffed with Butternut Squash and my favorite vodka sauce is paired with Italian sausage and garnished with sliced almonds and Italian parsley it was such an elegant bite. This spot is very small and cozy so you must wait outside to be called to your table which they set up for you before you're seated and parking is validated in the building though I did find street parking which is free as well after 6pm but the vibe here is very calm though many do come here as groups and it can get quite loud at moments though the staff did very well to course our starters and entree which is nice as the table is small and won't find much at the same time. I do appreciated the time it takes to prepare the reservations though must admit it was quite different to make it all work and see that it's all done in ways that you have very little wait for your table and your food as well and just loved how it's all crafted to make it a balance of harmony for us all. Thank you!

Our food was tasty, timely, and hot. Our server correctly recommended the vodka sauce chicken pasta and the grandma pizza, which were both amazing. Although the pizza was a bit pricey, $31, it can easily feed a family due to its large size. For the pasta, the noodles were cooked to a perfect Al dente and the sauce was out of this world. The grandma pizza, similar to Boston's spinach and garlic pizza, was AMAZING! Easily tops Boston's version because of the Alfredo sauce that they use as the base. The restaurant validates parking, $8 for 4 hours, tip not included. For my son's 18th birthday he wanted to eat pasta. After looking at many Yelp reviews, we ended up making reservations at Taormina. Unfamiliar with the menu we decided to do the five tasting course. As of 4/22/26 the base price is $125 and depending on what you choose, there are some add ons. For example the carbonara was +$25 and the Ricci di mare was +$18. Food: the Focaccia bread was free and comes with free refills. The salmon with caviar was really good. It had the perfect balance but very small, about 1.5". The next dish was the baked abalone. That was also very delicious but two bites and it's over. At this point, we were starting to think we would leave hungry. The next dish was the pasta. We tried both the carbonara and the Ricci di mare. Both were very good. The carbonara came with freshly slices truffles and thick crispy pieces of bacon. Highly recommend for truffle lovers. I'm not a huge uni fan but surprisingly the Ricci di mare was also really good. Of note, the pasta in the five course tasting is half the size of the regular order. Even at half the size, I felt the serving portion was good. I felt satisfied but not full. The next dish was the main course so filet mignon and monchong. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly but I personally didn't like the sweet sour balsamic vinegar taste that was drizzled over. I would have preferred it to be more savory. The monchong was okay but a little overcooked for my liking. The portion size of the main course was good. Lastly was our desert but to our surprise, they brought out a nicely written happy birthday platter with half a lava flow desert and a small scoop of ice cream. My son really enjoyed it. The creme caramel was also good and reminded me of flan. Service: the waitress did her job but I personally felt we had better service entering the restaurant and being seated. She had no smile, did not offer any recommendations, and no small talk which is fine but noticeable. Our bill came out to $463.87 tip not included. Though we really enjoyed the salmon and abolone I'm not sure it's worth the price and the extra three bites. Next time I would just stick with the pasta. If we had just ordered the full order of pasta our bill would've been $195.

We had a family dinner--for eight--at Mangiamo by 604. I was excited to have my father and brother…read moreexperience this establishment, as I had a great experience two years ago. My father and brother are both military veterans and enjoyed the fact that this venue was situated at a golf course they patronized before. We all ordered drinks--I ordered a bottle of wine, taking advantage of the Half-off Wine Wednesdays; some tried the alcohol specials and others simply elected to have soda. I ordered a few appetizers for the table and those went quickly: calamari, bruschetta, and artichoke dip. Yum! Main entrees followed and everyone seemed to enjoy their selections. We ordered dessert and were disappointed that they ran out of creme brulee...my father ordered the cheesecake and thoroughly enjoyed it. My only reason for not giving five stars has to do with the outdoor seating. I wish the chairs were more comfortable, as we sat there for awhile, waiting for our server to take our large group order along with waiting for food to come out. There is adequate parking and the restrooms are clean and accessible. An elevator is located in the lobby for those who are not able to easily climb the flight of stairs to the venue. I wish the signage was better, as my 74 year old father took the outside steps, as he thought that was the entrance, per signage downstairs.

Like she was welcoming family and friends to dine here. We got a seat on the outdoor lanai, honestly, such beautiful sunset views! Once seated, our server Erin really sealed the deal on this location. She truly reminded me of the best server I ever knew (my mom, a lifelong waitress, now enjoying retirement). Erin knew this was our first time here, and she made it her mission to make sure it was not our last. She was friendly, real down-to-earth, and efficient. She offered suggestions, refilled drinks and brought bread, all without us even asking. I will definitely return, and if Im able to, request Erin as our server. This was my hubby and mine first date night in years... so mahalo for the memorable meal, Erin!

I remember it used to be a Genki Sushi restaurant a long time ago. I was pleasantly surprised how stunning the interior was! Bright, tall ceilings, large booth seating enough for 6 of us comfortably in front of large picture windows! Please check out pictures of waiting room, bar, and amazing second floor display of wines galore! Nice cozy area for intimate dining. Remember to see Toto bathroom! The service is implacable! Prompt and attentive especially allowing us to have separate checks! ( which not all restaurants let you)!! Now for the food: Make sure you check the Monthly Lunch Specials beside the extensive menu! 3 of us had the Clam & Bourguignon Butter Spaghetti: 5 small manila clams, white wine, clam stock, garlic, minimal cherry tomatoes, bourguinon butter, and a few sea asparagus tossed with handmade spaghetti! Very delicious and not too rich! It came with a side crunchy kale salad with a few thin slices of prosciutto. Portions are small and a bit pricey with no complimentary table bread to accompany the pasta. I definitely was still hungry for the $30 lunch! We were celebrating 2 birthdays with only 1 person ordering a dessert that came with a candle. The other birthday person received a lonely candle on a small dish!! It was cute and funny at first but now that I think about it, it was rude and tasteless!! Definitely will celebrate birthdays elsewhere! 3% service charge too!
